Name: Alcide Herveaux
Age: 30
Member Group: Werewolves/ Long Tooth Wolf Pack
Character History:
Conceived from two wereparents, Alcide was born a werewolf into a hard-working, upper class southern family. Life was as normal as it could be for a family of mostly weres. That was until Alcide's mother died. The traumatic experience of her death went on like an onslaught in Alcide's father's, Jackson, head. He took to gambling and drinking to ride away the pain. While gambling, Jackson gathered much debt.
To help his father out with his accumulated debt, Alcide agreed to perform a favor for Eric Northman. What that might be has yet to be seen.
While waiting to be called on by the Sheriff of Area 5, Alcide spends most of his time in Jackson, Mississippi, working diligently at his family's surveying company and making sure it surpasses any competition. He also dotes on his on-and-off again pregnant dog of a semi-ex-girlfriend, Debbie Pelt. Although she is a terrible match for him, his fierce loyalty makes it hard for him to rid of the relationship permanently.
Besides being devoted to the favor, the job, and the girlfriend, Alcide also makes sure his little sister, Janice, is doing well at her salon. He also can be seen roaming the full moon nights with his pack and pack leader, Colonel Flood.
Personality:
Alcide is what you'd call a southern gentleman. He makes sure that chivalry isn't dead and that women are properly taken care of. Combined with his money and his intense loyalty, Alcide proves to be a very prominent suitor for any woman worth his effort. Because he is kind in a southern fashion, he can easily be taken advantage of. Take the case of his on-and-off again shifter girlfriend, Debbie Pelt, who mercilessly uses his affections and attachment against him. She proves to be very high maintenance in his life, and hardly a word can be spoken without Debbie interjecting.
Although a separate person, Debbie weighs heavily upon Alcide. If you speak with Alcide, you are speaking to Debbie. If you do something to Alcide, you do something to Debbie. Although off at the moment, she can still be found flirting with Alcide and watching him with a tight eye.
Alcide is also like any other werewolf, he believes if you are a shifter, why not shift into a werewolf. He has a terribly low opinion of vampires and hates being indebted to them. Though he tries to hide his true feelings against vampires, a hateful word or glance can escape from his penetrating green eyes every once in awhile.
Future Plans for your character
I wouldn't mind having Alcide placed into the Sookie Affection war Alcide versus Eric versus Bill. I'd also like to see Alcide take control of the Long Tooth pack eventually, just like in the books. Something involving drama and Debbie Pelt would be good as well.
Have you read the books I'm reading Dead as a Doornail at the moment

The full moon was about to tout it's glimmering white head in the night sky. Against the blackness of the Jackson night, it looked beautiful. The moon's timeless beauty didn't go unnoticed by a certain Alcide Herveaux. He could feel it in his bones. In his head. Even in his eyes, which so badly wanted to shift to their other nature. But he had to keep it at bay, at least for now.
That was because he was stuck at the office. Not like it was being "stuck" in the first place. His office showed off his wealth. His office was as homey as his luxurious condo. It was definitely not being stuck. Yet he was still wrapping up the day's affairs. A certain Mr. Montgomery had been dogging him for weeks about building a deluxe skyscraper in downtown Jackson. Thanks to building permits and committing to a space, Alcide was having a hard time telling Mr. Montgomery that he'd have to choose a different location for his skyscraper.
Just as the black wolf was about to pick up his black receiver to give Mr. Montgomery a call, the phone rang right in his hand. These were the long nights he didn't like because his secretary wasn't in to take calls for him. With a small groan, he pushed the line and murmured "Alcide Herveaux" with his heavy, deep voice.
Soon, a spry woman's voice pepped over the receiver. Debbie. What was she calling for? He chided himself for mentioning such a thing. Debbie probably just stopped over to his house, he wasn't there, so decided to call the next best place. But really... what did she want?
"Hi Alcide," her vindictive drawl said, "you weren't at home."
"Yeah..." he had to choose his words carefully for this one, as he might have casually mentioned to his girlfriend?--he didn't even know what she was anymore--that he would meet her at 8:00 at his place so they could shift together and roam the night.
"Well?" She murmured, trying her best to make him feel bad, and it was working!
"Yeah, about that, I got held up at work, I--"
"Alllll-seeeeaaa...." Debbie drew out his name; another dagger to his heart, "you said we were going to have fun tonight!"
This woman was demanding. It had been hard enough for him to request from Colonel Flood a leave from his pack for this certain full moon because of Debbie. The look that had been in John's eyes had been one of extreme discontent. Thankfully, Alcide had been on Flood's good side as of lately, so he let the big black wolf off the hook this time. Debbie was asking just too much by complaining to him about being late.
Alcide quietly sighed. Mr. Montgomery would have to wait until tomorrow. He had to make it up to Debbie for being late.
"Alright. I'll be there soon, use my key under my mat to get in," Alcide gruffly said.
"Okay."
And with that, there was a sharp click and her voice was gone as quickly as it had come. Alcide timidly put down the receiver and closed up shop. His work was ruined yet again by the nagging Debbie Pelt. He drew a hand through his thick black hair and prepared to become a child of the night once more.
