It has been a long, exhausting day for Summer. Arriving in Shreveport, checking into a motel and then the inevitable job hunt. After several failed attempts at finding employment Summer lucked out with Herveaux & Son, a family run business. Now it was time to hit the stores to get some suitable work clothes and definetly some wearable shoes. The meeting went reasonably well with Jackson even if he did bring back dusty memories of her mother and her own personal demon in a bottle. Other than that he seemed like a decent enough guy, though Summer could understand Alcide's frustrations. All too well. Rushing back to the motel to change out of those Godforsaken heels and to put on clothes that were less employee of the month and more I am Summer, here me roar. So off with the casual pants and shirt and on with the tight black jeans and tight fitting Harley Davidson skinny tee. Sliding on her army boots and taking the clip out of her hair to let it flow freely down her back. She gave herself a once over and a cheeky wink of approval and headed out her room and into the rental car she'd picked up on the way out after her interview. --------------------------- It took Summer almost 40 minutes to find Pecanland Mall. She was recommended it by the secretary of the Car Hire company, Summer would have given it a complete miss if she'd known it would have taken her this long. It was starting to get dark out, so the bloodsuckers would no doubt be clawing there way out of there coffins to prowl the night. Parking was also a huge effort, if she didn't need to buy so much she'd have brought her bike instead. Resigning herself to an evening of walking endlessly through the mall trying to find appropriate work wear. Wasn't something she was relishing and figured she'd get very little shopping done and end up at the bar, if they even had one. She rolled her eyes at her predicament and strolled around casually, looking for a reasonably priced store to chew up the remaining limit on her credit card.

Kimberly was enjoying shopping. Kimberly desperately needed better clothes. Half of her wardrobe had been selected by her mama and it simply wouldn't do in this town. All she really had to choose from was a couple pairs of jeans and some sweaters.
She really needed to let loose with her wardrobe. Some color wouldn't hurt. Maybe more green and yellow. Definately nothing in pastel or frills. She still had nightmares of the purple frilly number she had to wear at her brother Kenneth's wedding.
She had been pleasantly suprised at the size of this mall and couldn't wait to give her old Mastercard some action. It had been years since she had been shopping without her mama. And she most definately wanted to enjoy every moment of it.
As she was browsing throught the shops, she bumped into someone with a force. The someone was a woman.
"I'm so so sorry, I'm the clumsiest person alive." Kimberly mumbled to the woman while blushing deeply. She hoped the other woman would forgive her for being so careless.

After parting ways with Kyle, Brandy had decided to stick around the mall for just a while longer. There was a lot to see and do, especially at night - probably because this mall seemed to cater more to vampires and the supernatural. It was nice.
She had a hard time considering herself 'supernatural' sometimes though. She had left her bag of magic goodies in the car and now was flying solo, armed with a charge card and looking to just pick up 'normal' toiletries and some interview clothes of the like.
It was right around this time of contemplating that she saw two women bump into each other, well - one had appeared more clumsy than the other.
Brandy had stopped, and waited - currently they were both blocking the way into the store she had wanted to go in.

Summer was aimlessly walking through the mall, much to her annoyance, completely lost. Out of nowhere she clashed with another woman, a pretty blonde girl who looked embarassed and deeply apologetic. Quelling her initial reaction to snap, Summer realised she was partly to blame for not paying any attention to her surroundings. Bad wolf! Chastising herself for not attuning her senses better, she shook her head, "No, it's okay. Totally my fault."
She gave the woman a once over "Are you okay? Sometimes I don't know my own strength." she smiled in an attempt to lighten the mood. "I'm wandering around not having the slightest clue where I'm going." Summer weakly explained, not happy at her own lack of direction. Noticing another woman behind them, looking to get past Summer was really starting to feel self-concious and she hated that. Confidence was Summer's best friend. "Hey, sorry we're in you're way."

"Hey, sorry we're in you're way."
Oh. It wasn't Brandy's intention to draw attention onto herself. Or to appear rude, which probably was the way things seemed right now.
"Oh, no - it's fine. I didn't mean - I just needed to look at the outfits on sale there. Job interview in a few minutes and all - I figured I could pick something up at the last minute. Actually, I really wanted to work at Merlotte's but Sam seems to have his hands full"
Yeah, Brandy was completely oblivious to the fact that sometimes she revealed a little too much about her day. Not to mention the fact that whenever she mentioned his name out loud - her cheeks flushed and her dark caramel eyes seemed to sparkle.
"Sorry, habit of mine to babble. It was - hey..."
She had been focused on her own embarrassment that she failed to see the blond one. Brandy always had a knack' for being able to... tell.. when someone else was a witch. The blond was definitely giving off those vibes.
"Which coven... ? I mean... oh brother, I'm so sorry. I think I will just go now"
She darted herself into the store as quickly as possible.

Summer stood with an eyebrow raised as the woman babbled and was looking really embarassed. Why she didn't know. It wasn't exactly her fault that she couldn't get past. Summer's ears suddenly perked up at the mention of Merlotte's the little bar & grill she made a pit stop at on her way to Shreveport.
"Actually, I really wanted to work at Merlotte's but Sam seems to have his hands full"
She muttered something to the blonde about a coven and started off towards a store. Then what she said hit Summer suddenly and she had a look of surprise so she called across the mall floor shamelessly. "You know Sam Merlotte?" her dark green eyes sparkled and her face lit up with a lop sided smirk. This oughta be good
Summer's thoughts were now on overdrive. Who was this girl and why was she so interested in Sam Merlotte? The very same Sam Merlotte that never did call her. She hated to admit it, but made her feel a little hurt that he never made the effort. Oh well, his loss

"You know Sam Merlotte?"
When Summer called out to her, Brandy had stopped in her tracks and turned around to look at the woman. She didn't know if it was a good thing, or a bad thing..
"Uh.. yeah. Kinda. Not as well as I would like."
Well, it was true. Brandy wanted to know everything about him - including what he looked like nekkid. And what he felt like.. Brandy forced herself to think of something else.
Chairs, yeah chairs weren't erotic at all. Well unless he could of been sitting on it and she could of..
Bullocks.
"We aren't dating or anything... you know him?"
That was kind of a 'duh', but it would probably open Summer up to tell her "how".

"Uh.. yeah. Kinda. Not as well as I would like. We aren't dating or anything... you know him?" the words seemed to purr from this exotic looking woman's lips and her body language was practically screaming out her inner thoughts. Summer's smirk never left her lips. Should she embellish the story of her encounter with the Shifter? Too cruel. There wasn't much to embellish anyway, even if she did decide to pay it up.
"Sorta yeah" Summer replied nonchalantly before her mischevious nature part of her personality took over. "He promised to call me, but never did. Dirty dawg" she couldn't help but throw in that last statement. Did this girl know about Sam's other nature? Not that it mattered, she'd not spill the beans regardless.
Most Were's looked down there noses at other shifters, Summer was an exception so her loyalty to keeping the two-natured part a secret. That was Sam's call. Summer gave her a brief once over. Hot and cute. She felt a small twinge of envy, maybe she was the reason Sam never called her. She put that thought away quickly, Summer did not like to feel sorry for herself for any reason. Least of all over a man.

Body language. Brandy tended to notice it, how a person batted their eyelashes or how they turned their body. The only person she couldn't read at all was Sam, maybe because she wanted him to remain a mystery for now. Right now, she noticed the smirk, and didn't know if it was envy she felt.. or jealousy.
"Sorta yeah. He promised to call me, but never did. Dirty dawg"
"I wouldn't worry too much, he seems shy and was probably just nervous to call back a beautiful girl. I think he is afraid of being hurt."
Oh geesh, Brandy was really awe-struck by Sam. The butterflies were back, and Brandy swore she would step back for anyone if it meant him being happy.
"You can see it in his eyes, if you look deep enough. Everyone has their demons, after all, right?"

Summer couldn't keep it up any longer, she let out a small laugh. "Oh honey, he's all yours honestly." she shrugged a little, "If he wasn't interested, he wasn't interested. You live, ya learn ya move on." she tilted her head a little at the strange coincidence of bumping into someone who had designs on Sam.
The woman spoke of demons. Everyone has their demons, after all, right?" Yeah, that was something Summer was all too familiar with. Hers and mommy dearest. Not to mention that little thing about shifting shape into a big ass timberwolf when the cycle of the moon was at it's fullest. "Yeah, we sure do." Summer smiled.
Summer looked the girl deep in her dark brown eyes and grinned broadly. "He's a fantastic kisser, you won't be disapointed" and topped it off with a cheeky wink.

"Oh honey, he's all yours honestly. If he wasn't interested, he wasn't interested. You live, ya learn ya move on."
"I'm not even sure he is interested in me."
Brandy had replied honestly, her relationship with Sam was far too new to even know if he was interested in more than friendship with her.
At least Summer agreed with her demon's comment - but it didn't take long for the pretty girl to drop the ultimate of bombshells on her..
"He's a fantastic kisser, you won't be disappointed"
Brandy didn't think it was possible for her skin to turn as white as it did. All she could think of that moment was Sam and Summer, locked in a full-out kiss of wild passion. It didn't occur to her that Summer was probably just trying to pick at her, but after a moment she mentally shook the thought away and returned the smile.
"Really? I will be sure to let him know you think so."
Besides, if he really didn't return her calls - and they did kiss, it probably meant she wasn't a fantastic kisser. This thought brought a sort - of 'justice' smile to Brandy's full lips.

((OOC: OUCH! lmao and you say Summer is mean? )) Summer threw her head back and laughed, really laughed for the first time in a long time. Other shoppers in the mall stopped and stared at her, but Summer didn't give much of a d@mn. "Oh please do" she managed to get out in between hard giggles. "I'm sure he'll be delighted" Summer tried to reign in her amusement. "Listen, I'm sorry. There's really nothing to me and Sam, like at all. I flirted with him a little and planted one on him, but I think I scared him a bit being so forward. He didn't seem to impressed." she smiled at the memory of Sam's shocked face "If you're really interested in him, don't make my mistake." she shook her head and cursed her own stupidity and recklessness. Her mother said one day it would be the death of her. Leaping before looking. Jumping in head first without so much as a thought to anything else. Always live in the here and now, tomorrow is a new day.

When Summer burst out laughing, Brandy flushed red. She wasn't sure if Summer was trying to make fun of her or not. Nervously she looked around and then casted her eyes toward the polished floor.
"Oh please do, I'm sure he'll be delighted"
This was awkward for Brandy, but only because she didn't know the context of the kiss - in her mind, they were already involved and Brandy was the one that was making the fool of herself. She was suppose to meet Sam again in about a hour and a half which was why she was in such a hurry in the first place.
"Listen, I'm sorry. There's really nothing to me and Sam, like at all. I flirted with him a little and planted one on him, but I think I scared him a bit being so forward. He didn't seem to impressed."
Brandy wasn't looking at the floor anymore, her eyes were wide and she was looking at Summer again.
"Wow, you did?! I would never have the guts to do something like that. Just thinking about it makes me blush..."
"If you're really interested in him, don't make my mistake."
"I still think he probably was going to call you Summer. Not every girl is gutsy enough to do that, you probably threw him off guard. I admire you, you see what you want and go for it. I'm not quite so brave"
Brandy kinda felt bad for her earlier thought, but she was a girl (and not a 'perfect' one at that either). The thought of Sam made her want to pick up something special because he was offering her a place to stay.
"He is really a nice guy, I'm a little hard up at the moment so he is offering me a place to stay. But, I was going to pick him up something small. They have a turning wheel-thingy of cell phone attachments. Silly, I know, but one of them just calls out to me. I should get going. It was nice to meet you."
Brandy really had to finish this up, she didn't want to be late for fear that Sam might think she was standing him up. She dipped into the store quickly, picked out an outfit and reached for a cellphone charm - a little figurine of a border collie.
She didn't know why it called out to her so intensely, but it seemed to be burning in her hand.

Summer watched as the girl went off on a tangent about how gutsy she thought Summer was. Gutsy? More like not-giving-a-sh*t. She smiled as she let her continue on, letting her get it all out of her system. She did say something that made her think. "I still think he probably was going to call you she doubted this, not her sincerity. But the likelihood of Sam being interested enough to call. No matter, what's done is done.
"He is really a nice guy, I'm a little hard up at the moment so he is offering me a place to stay. But, I was going to pick him up something small. Summer arched her eyebrow at this statement. "Looks like you know him better than you think" Summer smiled at her as she spoke of a cell phone charm, "Cute."
The girl was anxious to get away. She had it bad for Sam, she had a little smirk. It was pretty adorable and so was she. "Go get him tiger" Summer called after her and turned round and almost ran into the pretty blonde from earlier. "Ugh dammit!" Summer snapped. "I am so sorry, just not paying attention at all tonight."
