No matter how many times she had to come back to this place she still hated it. It was small, it had a smell that never left and worst of all it contained the newly acquired infatuation of her maker. Sookie Stackhouse was some kind of human, Pam just wasn't sure what kind. Last night they had received some strange visitors passing through Sherveport that were headed this way and Eric wanted to make sure they didn't discover his untapped treasure. Naturally one would assume that since Sookie was Bill's he would be an appropriate comrade, however, Eric wanted to watch Sookie a little more subtlety. That left the young one Jessica. Jessica was fresh born and also quite annoying. She was still fresh a teenager and had a tendency to whine. Jessica also felt that since she was a vampire she could do whatever she liked and that meant that either she would die young or someone else would die for her mistakes. Pam just hoped she wasn't around when that occurred. Pam watched as Bill left his home cut across the grave yard to presumably escort Sookie to work. Pam stealthly left her hiding spot and knocked on the door. This was going to be the longest night of her existence.

Jessica had been sprawled on one of the red couches in Bill's living room, her blackberry in her hands, when Bill said he was leaving. "Jessica, I will be with Sookie tonight so just set awhile until I return. The house rules still apply." He had told her sternly. "Alright, fine." Jessica replied just as sternly. "And please do your best to stay out of trouble while I'm with her." He said, looking her in the eye. "Will do," she said and bent her head back down towards her phone. Bill rolled his eyes. "Good. Good-bye." He said then spun on his heel at Vampire speed and was out the door. "daddy." Jessica snarled the last word once she thought he was gone and snickered quietly. Pressing the 'Send' button, Jessica heard a knock on the door. She put her phone down on one of the arms of the couch, got up and approached the door. She opened it to see Pam standing on the opposite side of it. Whatever remained of her heart sank and Jessica said slowly but softly, "Hello Pam."

"Jessica it is always a pleasure to see you." Pam said with a half smile. Jessica stood in the door way. It was obvious that Jessica didn't want her to be there. Pam began tapping her foot impatiently. She didn't want to be rude but she also hated to be kept waiting. "As much as I love spending my time out of doors I would rather like to speak to you inside and hopefully you won't give me too much trouble. Eric wouldn't be pleased." Some where an owl began to speak. "I think that I really hate this town."

Raising her red eyebrows, Jessica nodded. "Oh, I'm sorry. Come on in." She opened the door more so Pam could come in. "Bill isn't here at the moment, in case you don't know." That was a stupid sentence and Jessica knew it. Whether or not Pam had been watching or just arrived, she would more than likely know Bill was not around. "Umm, anyways. What brings you here?" She asked, politely. "What else has gone wrong in your town?" Jessica had a feeling Pam would notice she did not pay attention to the 'Hopefully you won't give me too much trouble,' part. "Or here." She added briskly.

Pam walked in quickly and shut the door behind herself. "Obviously you know that I have no use for Bill or I would have stopped him on his way out." She moved over to the red couch and sat down leisurely with arms stretched out. As much as Bill was obnoxious he knew how to pick luxurious items. Jessica looked terrified if that was possible. "Now, now dear. I am not the big bad wolf here to eat you. Eric has a proposal for you." Pam noticed the Blackberry lying on the coffee table. Jessica was definitely not far off from her maker. She had very good tastes. Very expensive tastes. This was almost too easy. "How would you like to earn some extra money on the side?"

Jessica's right eyebrow lowered, leaving her left eyebrow raised. Pam surely made herself at home without hesitation. "Yeah, I know that, I suppose." She replied and saw Pam eying her phone. "Eric? What does he want with me? Isn't he usually asking Sookie to do all sorts of things for him, what with her telepathy and all?" The questions came out of Jessica before she could stop them. Remembering Pam had mentioned money, Jessica abruptly became intrigued. Money was something she hardly got in her human life and Bill made sure it stayed that way in her vampire life. Well, sometimes. She had gotten the Blackberry by the skin of her teeth and with practically every other thing in her new life, there were rules about it. "What will I have to do to get this money?" She asked, her left eyebrow still raised.

Pam leaned forward and uncrossed her legs and picked up an empty True Blood bottle. "You ask too many questions and don't know your place. Most of the time when your sheriff asks a request of you, most vampires who know their place understand that it is not necessarily a request but something that you are required to do. How ever before you go off on a tangent of how unfair I am being or how totally uncool I am know this, just because you are Bill's child and Sookie has taken a shine to you doesn't mean that you will be asked nicely to do things all the time. There will be a time when Sookie will realize that Bill is not the one and then you will be treated the way that all others are treated." Once Pam made her point she leaned back again. Pam crushed the empty bottle with her hand. "Also we are never in trouble, it is actually a surveillance job that Eric will have you do. Naturally the more you find out the more you will be paid." She blew the glass dust out of her hands and on to the floor. "Also the less Bill knows the better it will be for you."

As Pam's monlogue reached the middle, Jessica's left eyebrow slowly went down to become equal with her right one. "Right, so I have to do everything Eric says without complain?" She asked cautiously. The non-complaining would be like trying to eat a bulldog after the bulldog died 25 years ago, Impossible with a capital I. Nevertheless, she knew she would have to find someway to manage. Jessica looked down at the broken Tru Blood bottle and stepped back a few inches. Raising her head so her eyes were on Pam's, she said "So, I have no choice, right? I have to do this surveillance thing whether I like it or not?"

Pam actually smiled. "You really have been spending a lot of time with the young telepath haven't you?" Pam stood up to stretch her legs. She just was itching for a good run for some reason. Maybe it was because of the annoyance of so many questions. "Yes, you don't have a choice in the matter other than this. You do what we asked willingly you get paid or you do what we ask and don't cooperate and well lets just say that Eric will not only make it miserable for you but your maker as well. Really Jessica, it's no big deal and I don't understand why this can't be agreeable. I try to keep up appearances and play nice with the humans but sometimes I just get the urge to feed. When I get that urge I tend to get a little cranky. This just happens to be one of those nights." A familiar scent graced her nose. Someone was running scared in the woods not too far away, if she left now she could be done with them and back before she would be missed. Pam started for the door. "Something has come up dear. I will be back in a minute." Pam cocked her head to the side. "Are you fully stocked with True Blood?"

Jessica finally admitted defeat. "Alright, fine. I will do what you ask," She said "willingly" She drawled out the word as much as she could but smiled as she said it. Even though she was seen as a whiner and everything, she did not want trouble to come to Bill. She knew if he got in trouble because of her, she'd be in even more trouble with him then she would be with Pam and Eric or at least equal. Anyone who knew Jessica knew she did not enjoy getting yelled at or lecture by at least more than person, or in this case, vampire. She listened to what Pam had to say, nodding here and there. "I wouldn't say fully stocked but pretty close." She said as she watched Pam near the door. "Which, er," she wondered what they called all the flavors of Tru Blood there were. "type do you prefer?" she asked, once again politely.

"When you get to my age sweets they all become the same especially when its not the real thing. Personally I enjoy cute fresh chickadee's with a sharp wit. Just make sure that if Bill is away and Eric or I aren't here that if someone speaks to Sookie that you don't know, pay very close attention. I mean everything, name, height, weight, blood type, smell... I will be back to fill in the rest of the blanks before William returns. I prefer A negative but I will settle for O positive." The terror was traveling further away. Pam's blood was racing near the surface. "I will be back"

As Pam talked, Jessica felt her eyebrows furrow but smooth out again once she realized what she had to do. "So, just remember everything there is know about them? I can do that." She began and she twiddled her fingers, a habit she had picked up from her old human friend, Laurie. Even though she was a vampire, Jessica was still customed to her habits she did as a human, she guessed it was cause she is a new-born and she still has some of her humanity left. "Okay, your Tru Blood will be nice and warm when you get back." She said, wondering if Vampires just say normal 'Good-Byes' or if they just do some weird voo-doo thing.

Pam could feel the tension cutting through the woods, this wasn't some strange day of fortune, someone was being hunted but not by a vampire by a group of people and that someone smelled like a young girl. Ooh, things were getting exciting. Even if Pam disliked this town interesting thing did happen here quite often. Pam reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone. Eric would be needing all the information. "Eric I am speaking to Jessica about the mission. It looks like the welcoming committee arrived earlier than we thought....No a few more, nothing I can't handle...Are you serious? No I would never question you. You know that Sookie and Bill will be seriously ticked right? Oh trust me, they will know this definitely wasn't my idea." Pam clicked off her phone and turned around to face Jessica. "Tell me sweetling, has Bill ever taken you hunting?"

Jessica's eyebrows furrowed again as she listened to what Pam said to Eric. For Vampires, they did talk and argue a lot. "He hasn't but Eric did when Bill first turned me." She explained and remembered. "Is that why Bill and Sookie will be 'ticked'? Because you're going to take me hunting?" She asked, excitement evident in her voice. Jessica twiddled her fingers as she became more and more excited. "Like, real, serious, hardcore, hunting? Because Bill's making me main-stream since he is and yeah, I think you get what I mean."

Pam was delighted with her enthusiasm. Eric was right in saying Jessica should come. She would enjoy getting her hands dirty and Pam would have no problem with that. "Yes a real hunt but this isn't a feeding hunt. We are to acquire the ones that are doing the chasing and then seeing what information we can get. Don't pout dear just because you don't get to eat them doesn't mean you can't have fun." Pam looked around for a coat or a jacket. She hated to get her new blouse dirty. After not seeing anything available she resigned to getting a new outfit. Eric would be more than happy to oblige since she was doing his dirty work. She looked at Jessica and smirked. "I hope you have had enough fake blood because if you go into a crazy blood lust you and Sookie won't be able to braid each other's hair any more."
