Henry walked into the bar apprehensively at about eight-fourty-five, fifteen minutes before his late night date. It was already pretty busy, waitresses walking around and serving peoples' orders. He wasn't sure what he should exactly do, this was the first time he had ever been to a bar and the first time that he interacted with large groups of people. He knew Kyle from the school, along with a few other teachers and students and the Principle. Other than that though he had been pretty anti-social to the whole town since he had arrived only a few weeks ago. And although he shouldn't be spending his money on dinner and stuff already, he felt like tonight would be a good night to do so.
Walking over to one of the empty booths, he sat down on the comfy seats and noticed a menu, salt and pepper, and some other things were already on the table. Since he had been here, he was a little unfamiliar with how people ate with these, but after awhile he had grown accustom to them. Henry wasn't sure what to dress in, so he had put on a pair of slack pants in the color black with a white, button-up shirt. Unfortunately, he forgot to shave, but from what the people looked like in the bar he wasn't the only one. He took in a deep breath, the nervousness starting to get the best of him. Leaning back in the seat, he closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down while he waited to see what would come to him. This would be an interesting night indeed.

Kyle managed to arrive at eight-fifty-five. And that's after a twenty minute walk. He meant to get there earlier but he had be wracking over everything! Hair, clothes, facial hair, after shave. It wasn't even a date..well, he wasn't a hundred percent sure about that. The thing from the classroom seemed like it was too heated to be purely platonic, but Henry was going to be his teacher. Woud the man have asked him out on a date?
Kyle had chosen to go with a pair of black jeans, black dressy shoes, a white belt, a light blue button down shirt and a jacket. The jacket wasn't part of the ensemble, but it was cooler at nights than during the day. He had shaved and gelled his hair. He never gels his hair, but tonight he felt that it was mandatory. Nothing extravagant, just a bit sturdy carelessness. He tried for the 'just been f**ked' look, but he wasn't sure if he managed it. For after shave he had went with Paco Raban Ultraviolet. It was sweet but it stayed on him for a long time, not like those others that wore of very quickly.
So here he was, standing just inside Merlotte's and looking around for his...for Henry. It didn't take that much hunting to find the older man and he smiled as he took off his jacked and slid into the booth, sitting opposite Henry. "Good evening" He said, that big smile on his face.

Henry sighed quietly to himself as he watched the busy barmaids running by with food and notepads. He wondered when he would get the chance to order. And he was also curious as to who this telepathic barmaid was. "It'll be sure interesting to meet her," he thought to himself as he went to pick up a menu off the table and order, but was interrupted when he saw Kyle walking in. The man wore something similar to himself except his black pants were jeans and his shirt was a bluer color. Blue was his favorite color, actually. He also gelled up his hair and shaved a bit, and he had a nice smell on him that he could smell even while Kyle was at the door. He was dressed more for this occasion than Henry was.
He was about to wave Kyle over, but noticed the younger man lay his eyes on him. Smiling slightly, he watched Kyle walk on over and sit, with a good evening escaping his lips. It took a minute for Henry to answer, he stared at Kyle for a moment and rubbed his own stubble in an out-of-place way, like he felt like he hadn't prepared as much compared to Kyle. After thinking about it for a moment, he smiled slightly and answered. "I like your hair," he played around, smirking. "So yeah, this is my first date, sorry if I don't seem as prepared as you do. And it'll probably turn out like crap." he mumbled nervously, rubbing his beard a little bit more before waiting some more for someone to come around and take their order.

As soon as Kyle sat down he took a moment to ogle Henry. He couldn't see what he was wearing down below, but the white button-up shirt he was wearing looked really good on him. It was form fitting-ish so it kind of showed if his well-defined chest when he moved.
He grinned like an idiot when he was complimented on his hair. Goddess I must look like a blushing school-girl...well, close enough really He was relieved that Henry seemed to be as nervous as he was, though..."Date?" Kyle asked, his grin only getting bigger as it was confirmed, finally, that this was indeed a date. "I guess we're both pretty nervous...And I like what your wearing. That shirts very...nice" He said, his voice deepening at the end, his lust seeping through into his words.

Did he really say date? This really wasn't supposed to be a date, teachers couldn't date their own students could they? It might not have been such a good idea to do this, but right now he didn't care because he was already here and so was Kyle so he might as well make the best of it. Besides, he wasn't teaching yet anyway since it was the summer. "I guess this is a date, depending on what you define as a date," he shrugged, laughing for a small moment and looking around again to see if anyone was coming over to take their order. He was pretty hungry, not eating before coming here because he wanted to lengthen their "date". Henry couldn't agree more when Kyle said that they were both nervous, which made him laugh a little more. He smiled towards the compliment, but could hear a bit of something he felt before with the younger man in his voice, if that made any sense. The familiar warmth was filling him up slowly, the familiar feeling.

"Well..." Kyle started slowly, picking up a butter knife and spinning it on the table. "It's only a date if I get a good night kiss... So is it a date?" He said that last bit looking up, into Henry's face. He hoped that Henry said yes, that this was a date. The man was his teacher, but Kyle didn't care. It was against the rules yada yada yada. Kyle wasn't a stickler to the rules anyway.
After giving the older man a smile Kyle flicked a quick glance around the bar, looking for a waitress. He was getting a little hungry, and thirsty. Hopefully tonight would be a night when Merlotte's wasn't graced with the presence of too many vampires. He didn't know how vampires and werewolves felt about each other, but he didn't want to find out, just in case they loathed each other like in the books.

Sookie was busy making sure all her tables were taken care of, as it was a busy night at Merlotte's. The drinkers were out and the regulers too, well arent they one in the same? It seemed the night was non stop. And a roudy crowd at that. Was it a full moon or something? Sookie hardly had any time to even consider this when she saw the boy she met at the library walk in and another fellow whom she had yet to meet. Bon Temps was sure popular now a days. But for her, that meant more tips, which meant bills paid on time which equaled all together a better living.
As she walked over to the table, Sookie caught a snippet of thought from Kyle and it made her smile. It seemed her played for the other side and tonight was a bit of a date. Bon Temps had their fare share of different, given Lafayette Reynolds was a cook here. She had no care about who anyone loved, but Bud Dearborn on the other hand, well, lets not think about that. Kyle was plum excited and Sookie through transferance was too. Walking to their table, she smiled "Why, good evening Kyle. And you too! Im Sookie. Your waitress. What can I get yall tonight?"

A goodnight kiss? Henry mentally blushed to himself. He had never kissed someone before since he had lived in the pack they frowned upon romance that didn't benefit the clan unless they made children, specifically Werewolf children. Not to mention his preference to males anyway, no one else was like him in that way. This put him in a tight spot tonight though, did Kyle expect something other than just his company tonight? Henry didn't exactly know what to say or do, all of this was new to him right now. Taking in a deep breath, he tried to smile as convincingly as possible. "Depends on where the night goes, I guess," he couldn't think of a thing to say, and what he said made himself feel like he was an idiot. Before the conversation could go any further though, one of the barmaids approached them. So now they were being served. "Oh, hello! Your Sookie? It's nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you...," he acted a bit out of order, kind of excited that he was getting to meet the famous Sookie Stackhouse. "Can you really hear what I am thinking?" he, err, thought to himself, cautiously gazing at her for a little bit.

"Good evening Sookie. How's your night been?" He asked, being polite, but partially interested. Maybe they had missed another vampiric activity at Merlottes or something. Doubtful though. He didn't need to look at the menu to know what he wanted. Merlotte's only really done burgers and chicken strips and sandwiches and stuff, and Kyle really liked the chicken strips with fries. Fatty, but nice. He would wait for Henry to order first, even though Henry was older than him it still felt right for Kyle to allow the other man to go first. He was brought up to be chivalrous like that

The two men looked like those teenagers going on first dates on TV shows, just awkward and nervous yet excited. "It's nice to meet you too. And me famous! I don't think so. Just a local barmaid is all!" She smiled as the one looked at her speaking, a thought directed her way. Not wanting to just blurt it out though Kyle did know, heck everyone knew, but believing was a different thing. So, she decided a wink would be the best way to let him know without just saying it out loud.
"Nights been going well tonight. No fights, no trouble. Just like I like it! Thanks for asking Kyle." She pulled out her order book and looked at Kyle then the other man who's name she did not catch yet. "What can I get yall tonight! Special is fried crawfish!" She said, though thought to herself that it might not be the best date food.

Henry smiled as she talked. She was incredibly polite, which made him wonder why she was in such a rude place, where drunks and all kinds of other people would no doubt be thinking bad things about her right about now. Looking for a trace or sign that she did read his mind when he thought, he noticed the wink on her face as clear as day and his grin turned into a mix of shock and awe. So she really could read minds... What a gift that must be, being able to do such a thing. Ofcourse, it might be a curse also, unless she was willingly able to block everyone elses thoughts out whenever she wanted to. It probably took a lot of concentration though. "It's nice to meet you too! My name is Henry Williamson, apparently you already know Kyle," he said aloud, getting a bit more excited. But before he asked her anything else, he decided that it would be best to order now that she had asked. She had a job anyway, she was probably busy. Looking down, he picked up the menu and searched through it quickly. The steak sounded nice, whatever that was, he decided. "Can I have a steak?" he said plainly, not accustomed to restaurant talk.

Kyle gave the menu another cursory look, even though he basically knew everything that he liked that this place offered. He couldn't decide between a galmon and peaches, or some chicken strips. Hmm...Maybe the chicken strips...he could feed one to Henry if the other man wanted one...maybe.
This was the first date that Kyle had ever been on, Bon Temps does not offer much for the homosexual community, and he didn't want to mess it up. That having been said, he didn't want to hold back, he didn't want to tone it down and be...conservitive. He wanted to be himself, and so, if Henry wanted some of his food, Kyle would feed it to him, maybe. He had seen that move in movies and it always looked so romantic, so fun!
"Could I have the chicken strips with chips please Sookie?" And the more the merrier He thought at her afterwards, knowing that she would hear him.

Sookie had her pen ready as Henry ordered first, "A Steak? How do you want it cooked? Medium or well done? And it comes with fries for a side, is that alright?" She asked as she noted down his order. Just ordering a steak seemed a bit funny, was he not used to eating out? If not, it was fine, Sookie had patience tonight. Luckily. Kyle then placed his order, with a little request unheard. "Chicken Strips it is!" She gave him a wink as she wrote add four pieces in her little book. "Anything else for yall tonight?"

Fries? What were fries? He had never heard of them before, the only reason he knew anything of steak because it was the only human food that the pack would eat outside of the human itself. Not wanting to be bothersome or anything though, he nodded with a smile. As far as cooking the steak, he wasn't sure what the difference was either. "I suppose I'll take well-done...," he muttered slightly and then she asked if they wanted anything else. He shook his head with a polite smile. "No thanks, I'm good for now!" he looked back over at Kyle and waited to see if he would order anything else either. He wasn't particularly thirsty, and from what he could tell already was that the drinks here tended to make others'... intolerable, among other things apparently.

"Im good, thanks Sookie" Kyle said, giving Sookie a biug, but polite smile. "Ooo, wait, could I get a side of Coleslaw please?" Kyle loves coleslaw, especially the way Merlottes made it - the creamier kind, the one that wasn't just onions with mayo, the kind that was really, really nice. He gave the telepathic waitress and another smile and then turned back towards his date. Date! His first date, and it was with his teacher, well, soon-to-be teacher. But that was kind of hot, in a way. Either way Kyle was enjoying himself, and he really liked Henry - he was genuinely attracted to the man, and it also helped that Henry was from the supernatural world too. Kyle could be himself arond the werewolf.
