Well, I just found out the college I'm going to attend has a vampire literature studies course... I'm going to take it.
I just bought all the required books for it today... I was like "okay, Dracula, understandable, alright Interview with a Vampire, okay... TWILIGHT? WHAT WHY??? WHERE'S CHARLAINE HARRIS DAMMIT!"
That's right. That's right. You heard it.
NO CHARLAINE HARRIS SOUTHERN VAMPIRE MYSTERY NOVELS ON THE BOOK LIST!
How can they POSSIBLY have Twilight without the southern vampire mysteries? I think that is bull s*it! I am so angry! On the first day, I will blatantly go up to my professor and tell him what a mistake he made.
Argh!

How flipping awesome!! A vampire course! I think they have something of the sort at my college, but its like a sub title class only offered every once in a while. But I AM SOOOO JEALOUS!!!
And it is blasphemy that no Charlaine Harris is on the list of reading. Thats absurd. You will need to address this on the first day of class. Start a petition! Something. LOL
EDIT:
And Twilight! WOW! Its there to entice the girls to take the class. I mean, it is a phenomena. Which I have read and do enjoy but BY FAR love the Southern Vampire Mysteries more. Oh OH and the Mary Janice Davidson Undead vampire series. GREAT. Her and Charlaine are friends... Petition to have those!

Mary Janice Davidson? When I looked at that name at first I read "Janice D1ckenson". I'm like, why does that model have a vampire series?

You should do a project on the Sookie Stackhouse novels, I'm sure you'll get extra credit. Lucky you for having that class? I have to be self-educated on vampires... it's such a burden! I'm gonna try and write a vampire book, but I gotta finish the one I'm writing right now. Vampire literature...how fun! What about Elvira? I believe that is her name

I SOOOO want to take that class...without the Twilight books lol...I've read them but her writing leaves something to be desired. You'll have to have a word with your professor, tell him it not acceptable lol. Also mention how can he be serious in teaching a book in which the main character is such a Mary Sue!!!!!!!!
*Goes to search out vampire literatue courses*

Twilight makes me giggle. Their "vampires" sparkle. Oh beware the sparkling vampires. Could you just picture them in a dance number at noon, looking like someone went nuts with a bedazzler? Teehee.

I often wonder if you could skin a Twipire and make a disco ball from the hide. *ponders*

Gosh dang, you are a funny gal. Anyway, I just had my first day of class today, including the vampire literature studies. My professor BASICALLY said the ONLY reason he included Twilight into the list of reading materials was to attract students so the class wouldn't be dropped. *rolls on floor laughing* bahahaha He also did speak of "True Blood" however, I don't know how aware he is of the fact that True Blood was spawned because of Charlaine Harris' southern vampire series... *sigh* I wanted to speak up, but I didn't want to nerd out. Then again, I sorta was nerding out today. I was dressed in my destroyed denim tight jeans, black gladiator sandals, black Fangbanger shirt, with a leather vest over it. hahaha cosplaying as a fang banger essentially, how much more nerdy can it get? With the way I'm dressed, I'd fit into Fangtasia well (Pam would like me)

I SO wanna do that course! I love Twilight but still, no Charlainne Harris?! That's outrageous! And with Anne Rice is it only that one book? I've read the first three - Interview with the Vampire, The vampire Lestat, and The Queen Of the d**ned. All good, all I would recommend. So Jealous!? Though, just outta curiosity, where could that course lead to in the work force

Actually, it's a Humanities credit, so it's needed for generals. However, I mainly took it because one of my other classes was dropped last minute and it sounded interesting. Besides, I might as well enjoy at least one class while I'm in college, since I'm paying for it anyway.
