Steve listened as she continued to try to convince him of her 'goodness' by not biting him. He realised she must be old to speak of Nero and Caligula as if she knew them. Just imagine how many centuries she has been running around murdering God's people. This thought disgusted him, it was unnatural to walk the earth for such a long time, not the natural order of things.
"You don't know God vampire, he is beyond your understanding. Why would I try to understand you when it is obvious you are a creature of the devil? You yourself admit to killing, for centuries. Was not one of the commandments 'thou shalt not kill'?"
Steve thought about all Anouk was saying, he could never agree to any of it apart from her being able to kill him. But he knew he was right and these things should not be allowed to continue their existence, if one good thing came out of their revelation it was the news of their existence.
"No I would never have spoken to you. In fact I would not have stopped here I would have turned around and left and informed my congregation of the sinfulness of this establishment in permitting those such as you to dine here. I understand enough of you to know you should not be allowed to continue your sins, you steal children and kill parents."
As Anouk talked about her ease at killing him he felt a jolt of fear ripple through him, but he just let his anger and hatred boil over to drown this out. He let his imagine loose to remember his training of his soldiers and the secret stash they had.
"Glamour? You do not feed on me now, but what if we were completely alone would you be able to say the same? I love my people and so feel anger and hatred for that which threatens them."

Was he this bullheaded? He simply wouldn't try to understand her, but it was typical with those who held such beliefs so strongly to their hearts, a zealot. "I never said anything about killing. I was human once too, did you not know? It was very long ago, before you, or anyone from you family was born. Before America, before your Jesus was even born. I only take blood offered to me, and then there are humans who've taken more lives than me. Hitler, Idi Amin, Stalin, Kim Jung Il. Hell, Even Americans have murdered more than I could ever in my entire life span." He was closed minded and he would never open up his mind. He wasn't aware what glamour was? Hm, and he thought he knew the enemy. "Yes, Glamour. I can just look into your eyes like this." Anouk let her gaze fall onto Steve and wanted to begin the process, but resisted. "And you're under my spell." She laughed a little, glamour was one of her favorite parts of being a vampire. "That's what we have Tru Blood for lovely. Though it does lack in taste. I would ask before biting you, it's only polite." She leaned in even closer, biting her lower lip again. "You can't tell me you came in here and didn't think I was a beautiful creature now." She tilted her head and looked into his eyes, feeling the blood and anger course though his veins.

Steve couldn't help but be intrigued by this vampire once he realised how old she was. Though she denies killing he knew differently, it was her nature surely, she needed blood to live and such bloodthirsty creatures could not help but kill. He smiled as she talked about Hitler and Idi Amin, to him these were humans who had also committed sin, they deserved their punishment also, but these demons in disguise, these vampires, they deserved to burn in the light of God.
"You may not have mentioned killing, but it is what you do. I do not deny there are evil humans but they too shall receive their punishment from God."
As Anouk talked about glamour she stared into his eyes and he could feel himself almost go into a daze. He couldn't begin to explain how that made him feel, to discover they had so much control over the human mind, truly these abominations were meant to burn!!
"You would ask before biting me? Yet if I was glamoured surely this asking is merely a formality? You make it sound like I would agree to anything if I was 'under your spell'. One more reason to rid your kind off this earth."
Steve couldn't believe what Anouk was saying, he was a married man and she assumes too much, though he did feel a twinge of guilt as he was sure he would never have been so quick to address her had she not been so beautiful. Steve involuntarily flinched bacckwards as Anouk leaned in closer to him.
"One of your tricks, to be so ageless is how you attract your victims. I know your ways vampire, but you disguise yourself well hence I did not know what you truly were when I came in here."

He was starting to annoying Anouk, yet she was ever so interested. It was like a cat playing with a ball of string, Anouk just toying with his mind. "God, god, god, god, god. Can't you make any decisions of your own with this God interfering. What do you think humans did before this God of yours? We were all just sinful sinners committing sin? Face it Steve, sin is fun. That's why it's forbidden. The forbidden fruit, the apple in the garden, you can't have it so you want it. That's why you fight temptation because it's tempting." Anouk knew the logical behind these people, so steadfast in their beliefs because they don't want to slip up and actually enjoy themselves. "Probably. But I usually don't glamour unless I or anyone around me is in danger. Or If I want to have some fun." Anouk began to glamour Steve, but stopped. She leaned in closer when he flinched back, glamouring him once again. She's never had this much fun with someone, making him fall in and out of glamour. "You knew what I was Newlin, you just wanted to walk on the wild side. Shed your image of holy light and step into the darkness for a little bit. I don't blame you."

Steve became aware of when he was slightly pushing the vampire, he actually smiled at her mild annoyance. So it is possible to rile them.Though he knew that would be a bad idea he was glad he could have this little power over her, he was steadfast in his beliefs, his father had raised him right, he prayed everyday and was faithful.
"I make my own decisions, it is my decision to lead a sinless life and spread the word of God. Before God? There is no before, He has always existed, it was only when sin was found He felt the need to remind us tempted humans that He gave us life. Sin may be committed everyday but how many seek forgiveness? It is those that don't that will suffer, just because it is fun does not make it right."
Even as he spoke Steve knew why humans were so tempted by that they which they shouldn't have, but he also knew that was no excuse for falling from grace. He lived right and anything he done was in the name of God, so he knew he would be exalted in His presence. Every time he felt the heat of the sun on his skin he was reminded of his duty to preform God's work, to rid the world of the devil's creatures. To him that was enjoyment, the thrill of the kill, wiping away their existence. The bible says humans were created in God's image, surely that means they are more superior and anything else took their power from evil.
Again Steve felt that sensation of almost drifting away, as if he didn't really have a care. It was odd, he had never really experienced anything like it and it made him slightly uncomfortable as he didn't understand why it was happening. Still this heathen vampire insisted in moving closer to him, soon she would be close enough to smell. That was not a happy thought to Steve and looked into her eyes, he wondered if she smelt of death, because for all their publicity he knew different. There was no virus, no illness to blame for the vampires state, how they had managed to keep themselves hidden for centuries had stunned him, but then he remembered the books that had been wrote. They had not completely kept themselves cloaked, they had seeped through but had become a myth. Now here he was facing one, and he knew her to be a dead body walking. Dead people had no souls and if that was the case then they had no business walking around. This vampire was trying to tempt him, tempt him into tasting sin, but he would not fall for her wiles, no matter how good at it she was.
"How could I have known what you were when you sit and look so human? You imitate us and pretend to be us but you never will be. I have no darkness within me, only light with which I will use to fight your kind. My church grows larger everyday vampire, people are learning the truth about you as we speak."

Blah blah blah blah blah. He wouldn't shut up, would he/ It sounded likehe was trying to convince her to become one of his soldiers of the light. When she was leaning in, her face got close enough for her to lick him, taste his skin, but she didn't She leaned back, looking at her empty glass and began to fiddle with it. "Because I was human once, don't you understand. I didn't exactly choose to be this night loving demon. Of course, why would you take pity on on such an evil beast, why would you bother to listen to my life story. It's all a lost cause I suppose. I had a nice time with you Newlin, I hope we meet again." Anouk smiled ands grabbed the bottle of wine, popped the cork back in and set down a 20. Anouk got up with the bottle in her hand and sped away out of the bar, leaving only a rush of air through Steves perfectly coifed hair and vlew a few napkins around.
