Brandy just fell apart in Summer's arms. Summer couldn't do anything but hold her, just let her get it all out of her system. Brandy turned round and looked up her with red eyes full of hurt and guilt. Summer took her hand, holding it tightly. Letting her know she was there for her.
"Summer.. I'm so sorry.. I'm so sorry I pulled you into this mess and that you were hurt... and I lost Sam.. he doesn't want me anymore and it's all Derek's fault, but I blame myself.. I should of told him sooner, I shouldn't of run.. everyone I care about got hurt and all because of me.. Summer, I'm so sorry"
Summer was just gobsmacked, she shook her head. "No..." Summer trailed off. "No, that was my fault." she said talking about her confrontation with Derek. "My choice, my stupidity"
Summer's heart went out to her friend. She had to calm her, get through to her that things were not as bad as she thought. "You haven't lost him." Summer began to explain, "He's out here somewhere looking for you. Granted he looks like a big ass bloodhound. But he's here and he's beyond sorry. Derek really did a number on him, hell on both of you it seems."
Summer adjusted her position, as her legs started to cramp underneath her. She looked right into Brandy's eyes. "You have to talk to him when he gets here B. Don't let him go or I'll have to kick your ass, the same as I kicked his." she tried to smile, but it came out thinly. Hoping Brandy had taken in everything she said.

"No. My choice, my stupidity"
In other words, Brandy would get a mental @ss whopping from Summer if she kept blaming herself. At least the tears were dry, and Brandy knew she looked horrible. But none of it seemed to matter, not if she couldn't be with Sam anymore.
"You haven't lost him."
Brandy's eyes had softened, Summer wouldn't lie to her would she? No, not lie... Summer wouldn't bend the truth so that she felt better would she?
"He's out here somewhere looking for you. Granted he looks like a big ass bloodhound. But he's here and he's beyond sorry. Derek really did a number on him, hell on both of you it seems."
Brandy's heart sank, she had that child like look on her face that read Really? You promise?. Brandy wrapped her arms around Summer again, knowing that somehow.. Summer had something to do with this..
"You have to talk to him when he gets here B. Don't let him go or I'll have to kick your ass, the same as I kicked his."
"Summer.. I couldn't let him go even if he never wanted to be with me again. I know it has been such little time but I.. I can't help it Summer. I'm in love with him."

"Summer.. I couldn't let him go even if he never wanted to be with me again. I know it has been such little time but I.. I can't help it Summer. I'm in love with him."
Summer's heart melted. Despite her own reservations about falling for someone so quickly. She could tell Brandy meant every word. She smiled, she was determined to get the star crossed lovers back together. No matter what it took.
"So, when he gets here. You'll listen to what he has to say? You'll talk to him?" Summer asked, she had to be sure Brandy wouldn't run again. Her rib ached and it was hurting more and more. She flinched as she shifted her body weight to ease off the burden. "Promise me you'll give him a chance to prove himself to you." Summer's eyes were deadly serious.

"So, when he gets here. You'll listen to what he has to say? You'll talk to him?"
Wow, Summer was really insistent that Brandy listen to him. What did Summer know that Brandy didn't? Brandy really didn't know what to expect, oh brother - her emotions were in such a mess she thought she would start crying again. Really, she had cried enough - didn't think it was possible for her body to create any more.
At that thought, she noticed Summer flinch.. was something wrong with her? Brandy was now glancing at her ribs and inched forward to put her hand against Summer's body.
"Promise me you'll give him a chance to prove himself to you."
"Of course. I promise. Just stay still alright?"
Brandy had closed her eyes, an energy swirling inside of her as her blood grew warm. She mumbled a few words, hoping it would be enough to ease Summer's pain a bit. It wasn't much, but it might help.
"Derek took quite the round out you didn't he? He is such a b@sterd."

"Of course. I promise. Just stay still alright?"
Summer smiled, trying to hide a grimace. "Good." But she wondered what Brandy meant by staying still. One of her friends' hands moved towards the spot where the most pain was, the area of skin covering her busted rib began to feel an intense heat. But it was bearable, then the pain subsided. At least to a tolerable level.
How in the hell does she do that?
"Derek took quite the round out you didn't he? He is such a b@sterd."
Summer squirmed, checking to see if the pain really was gone. She raised her eyes, impressed with her friends prowess. But she threw her a look, "You scare me with all that witchy stuff ya know that." then she went over Brandy's words about Derek and rolled her eyes. "Like I said, I was stupid for even thinking I could take one on by myself." she turned to look at Brandy, "But I did what I felt I had to do to protect you. But I failed you and for that I'm sorry."
Summer was about to elaborate on her feelings of failure, but a familiar scent was making it's way towards them. Summer looked around and spotted the massive Bloodhound lurking a few feet away. Turning back to Brandy she smiled. "Never mind me, I'm good." she nodded towards the dog, "But I believe someone is here to see you." she handed Brandy a backpack. "It's got his things in it, make sure he doesn't walk home naked willya"
Standing up and stretching her arms above her head. She looked down at her friend. "Remember what I said. Listen to him and above all else, forgive him." she began to walk easing her head round to say one last thing. "I'll be at the gate if you need me, kay honey" and with that Summer walked off and stopped to pat Sam on the head. "Good boy" she smirked and made her way to the gate and leant against it and waited.

The bloodhound grumbled as Summer gave him a mock pat on his head. He waited till she was out of view till he changed his shape back to that of human. It was a good job Brandy had already seen him naked. Then his heart sank, well plummeted to an unforseen depth. Now he was here, he didn't know what to say. No amount of sorry's would be sufficient enough apology. He had hurt her and he felt sick to think he let himself be manipulated by someone whe knew was only out to cause trouble.
"Brandy.." he trailed off, almost choking on her name. He fell to his knees, lowering his head into his chest. "I am so so sorry. Though I'll understand if you don't want to be near me anymore." he was too ashamed to look at her. Seeing her in so much pain was unbearable.
The fact that he was the cause of her distress only made Sam feel worse. Small, so very small. He didn't even deserve her friendship at this point let alone anything else.

"You scare me with all that witchy stuff ya know that."
"There is nothing to be afraid of Summer. My magic comes from a good place."
Brandy had put her hand on Summer's shoulder reassuringly. The last thing she wanted to scare Summer with her witchcraft, but she couldn't blame her friend. After all, Summer had scared her with all her... werewolf stuff.
"Like I said, I was stupid for even thinking I could take one on by myself."
"I know what you mean.. he had me in the air by my throat. Not pleasant at all when he told me he could snap my neck in two and there was absolutely nothing I could do. He was absolutely right."
"But I did what I felt I had to do to protect you. But I failed you and for that I'm sorry."
"No, you didn't fail me at all Summer. That fact that you were there for me wasn't failing at all."
Brandy was calm now, her eyes were still puffy and she was sleepy from all of her crying - but Summer had managed to calm her down. However, it was Summer next words that brought a whole different flood of emotions.
"Never mind me, I'm good. But I believe someone is here to see you."
Brandy could only look past Summer and toward the dog, her eyes were soft as she didn't speak - but she could hear Summer quite clearly. Absent-mindly she had reached for the back pack and placed it next to her.
"It's got his things in it, make sure he doesn't walk home naked willya"
Brandy nodded slowly.
"Remember what I said. Listen to him and above all else, forgive him. I'll be at the gate if you need me, kay honey"
She watched as he changed back into a human and approached her. Her eyes followed him silently as he stood in front of her.
"Brandy.."
He dropped to his knees in front of her, his head lowered and her heart sank.
"I am so so sorry. Though I'll understand if you don't want to be near me anymore."
Brandy was quiet. She was still siting on her knees and she sort of.. scooted over to him. Softly she brought one hand to his face and tilted his chin up so that she could look into his eyes.
"He let me go. He let me go because all he could see in my heart was you. I know how Derek is, don't blame yourself. I am your girl. I'm just glad you still want me.. because even though I told myself I would be happy for you even if you chose someone else, I would be lying because I want you only for me."
It was selfish of her, she knew that. She wouldn't be able to stay around if he truly didn't want her anymore. She knew already there was noone else in the world that she was meant to be with.
It was with this thought, that she reached for his hand and placed it over her chest - right over her heart.
"You have this part of me Sam, always. I'm sorry I'm so selfish, and pushy.. and I rushed our whole relationship. But, I can't deny the way I feel about you Sam. Even if you don't return my feelings, and it is alright.. you must know that I'm completely, and hopelessly in love with you. "
She paused for a moment, and reached for his bag, handing it over to him with a soft smile on her face.
"... lets go home."

Sam felt Brandy lift his face up meet hers. He tried hard to avoid her eyes, the guilt overwhelming him. It got too much to contain and a tear fell slowly from each eye.
"He let me go. He let me go because all he could see in my heart was you. I know how Derek is, don't blame yourself. I am your girl. I'm just glad you still want me.. because even though I told myself I would be happy for you even if you chose someone else, I would be lying because I want you only for me."
Sam looked into her eyes at those words. He couldn't believe how quickly he was being forgiven. He shook his head a little to physically show his disbelief. But listened as she continued to talk to him. She took his hand and placed it in the middle of her chest.
Sam's mouth was open, unable to speak. Unable to say anything in return. She was in love with him? Something like this would freak most people out, but Sam accepted her words. Even if he couldn't return them. Yet.
"... lets go home." she said, handing him the backpack he had given to Summer earlier. He took and silently put his shirt, jeans and boots back on. He reached his hand out to her. "I'd like that" he said with a thin smile, still amazed at her generosity of spirit.

"I'd like that"
When he reached for her hand after getting dressed, she didn't let them go anywhere. Not yet. There was still a couple of things she had to say.
"Hey Sam.. there are just a couple other things.."
Brandy looked toward Summer, holding up one finger toward her to signify 'one moment' before she turned back to Sam. She was in front of him, and she reached for both his hands.
"Summer was very insistent that I listen to you, and that I forgive you. But the truth was, I never blamed you. Yeah, I was hurt but I was fully prepared to step aside and let you live your life without me. I know the way I feel is a little crazy. I mean, who falls in love with someone after a couple dates right? But.."
Brandy let go of his hands, lightly clasping her hands behind her back. She was looking at him now, a soft expression on her face.
"How can I not? Your sweet, your charming, you have a good heart and even though we will probably have a lot of rocky roads ahead of us I am not the type of person to just.. let something so potentially wonderful slip away. I was honest with Derek, he will always have a place in my heart. But everyday, when I find myself thankful for just being able to know you.. that, is truly a gift for me. It's magic."
And that was when Brandy took a step forward, closer yet to him, so close that their lips were almost touching as she looked into his baby blue eyes.
"You see.. there was one thing my parents told me that was right was about magic. Magic is neither black or white, it is both because nature is both. When I look into your eyes, Sam, my magic is full of color"

Brandy took Sam's hand and he guided her up towards him. But she stood her ground. She wanted to say more, she quickly turned to Summer who was still waiting patiently at the gate for them, that they'd be a moment. Turning her attentions back to Sam, she put her free hand in his.
"Hey Sam.. there are just a couple other things.." she began, Sam squeezed her hands and let her get it all out. How she never blamed Sam, which was a huge weight off his shoulders. Brandy also admitted to the craziness of the quickness of her feelings for him, Sam felt his face flush. He was deeply flattered he'd had such an impact on her. She was having the same effect on him.
When she went on to list all the things she liked and admired about him, he went coy. Lowering his head, the compliments were all too much. He really wasn't used to it at all. Not in such depth. He was able to look back up and into her eyes. My God she was beautiful. Inside and out.
"You see.. there was one thing my parents told me that was right was about magic. Magic is neither black or white, it is both because nature is both. When I look into your eyes, Sam, my magic is full of color"
He felt his face glow and his smile broaden. "How the hell did I get so lucky?" he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her hair lightly.

"How the hell did I get so lucky?"
He pulled her close, and kissed the top of her head. She too, felt a load off of her shoulders. She wouldn't let anything tear them apart again. Right then, at that moment, she knew that he wouldn't either.
She slipped away from him, kissing him lightly on the lips before she grabbed his empty bag and slung it over her shoulder.
"We should get back to Summer, poor girl has been waiting there for so long. How boring that must of been for her"
As they walked back toward the gate, a funny thought had crossed her mind. She couldn't help but to turn to Sam, a sly grin on her face.
"I'm still kinda jealous she got to taste your lips first."

Sam smiled at Brandy as she pulled away from a gentle kiss. "We should get back to Summer, poor girl has been waiting there for so long. How boring that must of been for her"
"Sh*t!" Sam exclaimed, "I forgot she was there" he felt bad. Summer had went out of her way to help him find Brandy and get them back on the road to happiness.
Sam followed Brandy's lead towards the gate and she turned to him with a smirk. "I'm still kinda jealous she got to taste your lips first."
Sam opened his mouth to protest. "Aw come on. She kissed me." he shook his head, "Not like I threw her over the bar counter and..." he didn't finish his sentence as they were getting closer towards the gate and he didn't want to dwell on the thing that never was with Summer Morgan. Who apparently was now very close with his girlfriend.

"Sh*t!"
Brandy was a little shocked by his outburst. She knew what it was regarding, so she snickered slightly as an amused smile crossed her lips.
"I forgot she was there"
"Oh, your awful - don't tell her that, she might smack you a round' a bit. And you know, being like my best friend - I'll be obliged to let her"
Yep, she loved Summer too. Not in the way she loved Sam, but she just really cared for her. Every girl needed a good 'girl' friend. And Summer was her's.
"Aw come on. She kissed me. Not like I threw her over the bar counter and..."
Oh. Oh what a thought! Sam's words had lit the hormonal fire in Brandy and she stopped suddenly just before Summer was in earshot. (Though, Summer might of heard every word anyway - wolf' senses and all!)
"Can we? Can we please? Nobody will ever know"
Even if they did, really, who the f!ck cared? All Brandy could think about now was 'christening' every corner of his bar! She was very very bad.

Brandy suddenly stopped at Sam's outburst and looked at him with lustful eyes. "Can we? Can we please? Nobody will ever know" Sam leant in and whispered, "We'll have to wait and see." he gave her a wink and a lopsided grin. But hoped that Summer didn't hear there plans.
Sam took Brandy's hand and started walking, meet back up with Summer and hope she didn't hear.

Summer had been resting against the Grave Yard gates for what seemed like hours. In reality it was only about 30 minutes, she checked her watch. 35 minutes. No big deal. They deserved this moment alone. Summer watched with a little feeling of envy unexpectedly creeping up inside her. Not of Sam or Brandy, but of there happiness. It had been so long since Summer had felt the warmth only love can bring to a person.
Brandy motioned to Summer, that they'd be over in a moment. So Summer's mind wandered back, to before she was even in the South of the country. New Jersey, when she was happy and carefree and most of all in love with the most amazing guy she'd ever met. Summer's stomach began to churn as the memories of her lost lover flooded into her mind. Marco, her beloved werecougar.
Sam and Brandy began to make there way up to the gate finally. Summer wiped away a small tear that had fallen. She didn't want to spoil there happy moment and judging by the looks and giggles they weren't going home to sleep.
"So, I take it all went well then?" Summer asked with a proud smile. Despite her own personal sorrow, she was truly happy for Sam and Brandy.
