I'm to young, for this to happen to me. Haylee thought while exiting Merlotte's, now standing underneath a flickering light post. Regarding the sense of forgetting something basic, well important; given the time of night. Parking. She couldn't find her d**n truck. Sure, you couldn't miss it in the daylight, being a gentle shade of powder blue. Though, at night: It seemed invisible. Darn it all. Thinking once more, while her breath gathered a huff; it was time to play a game. "Find a truck!" Couldn't be that hard. Unless, someone decided to play a prank on her. As to why anyone would: Well, it's beyond her. Though, she was still new to Bon Temps; anything could happen here.
Or so, she was told. Really, Haylee shouldn't have doubted such words of advice. It had to be no more then a couple of minutes, before she got a rather LARGE surprise. Via a strange sound, if not a couple of voices. This was the kind of sign that you: Need to duck for cover for. Which she did, and tried to crawl along the ground. Haylee still needed to find her truck. More importantly; something to be used as a weapon. Gosh; she hoped that she wasn't imagining things, it would be pretty darn embarrassing to be seen right now.

They came out of nowhere. The threw silver over her arms and dragged her to the ground, placing a silver chain over her neck, legs, and wrists, effectively binding her to the ground. She was bound to these three humans, young frat boys who want a taste of ancient blood. How Anouk never heard of sensed them was beyond her thoughts, but for once in a long while, she was panicking. Anouk lost her composure but hesitated to scream as they slid in a butterfly needle and collected her blood, one vial at a time.
Finally, after 2 vials filled, she yelped out, trying to see if anyone would come to her aid. Anouk was, for lack of a better phrase, freaking out. She struggled under that d**ned silver, seeing the drainers greedy eyes as they waited to devour her blood. Her yell was throaty and full of fear. Anouk prayed a little on the inside that someone would come to her aid.

About those voices, only god knows on what had been previously said. As she couldn't determine if she had lost her mind or not. Yet, as she continued to crawl, in order to look for her truck; the voices seemed to be real. More then one as they spoke; oh d**n. Trouble, this had it written everywhere. It must like her. "Hurry it up! One voice managed to whisper, like a domino; another comment fell. "Yea, man!" Last but not least, a third "domino" had fallen. "This V score is gonna be awesome. I can't wait to hit it!" Oh. hell. This was a extremely difficult situation, as it brought a memory back. Recently, in fact that regarded her friends. Yet, she couldn't delay herself and continued to crawl. Cringing to a yelp that was brought forth, it was- well, she couldn't describe the feeling to a sound like that.
Eventually, Haylee had found her truck, but not before she accidentally set of a car-alarm. By previously getting to close, in passing to get to her truck. Now, she REALLY was limited on time as she used her key to open the passenger's side door. Trying to look for something to use as a weapon, there just had to be something to use. In the meantime, she hoped that at least one person in the group would run off, due to hearing the sound. If that wasn't the case, she really had the odds stacked against her. It shouldn't matter, sure; it was doing the right thing but hey, one could hope. A measly tire iron!? You've got to be kidding! Without anymore thinking, she grasped it and stood, trying to make herself seen. Much less heard, "Ya'll better back the heck off, unless you want to meet iron!"

"Ya'll better back the heck off, unless you want to meet iron!" This was her savior? A little blonde with a tire iron? Well, it was better than nobody. Anouk did have doubts about if she could take all three half-drunk men, but if this girl could remove the silver over her, Anouk would do some very bad things to these @ssh0les. For the first time in a very long time, fear laced her big eyes as she continued to struggled, trying to wiggle the needle out of her arm. The man over her with the vials was caught off guard and didn't noticed the needle starting to slip out of Anouks arm.
Finally, she thought to herself, seeing the needle finally exit her arm as the little wound healed almost instantly. This was not a good situation even if she did slow down the drainers. "f**k man! We can take this little b!tch!" One of them shouted, and another muttered something about getting his fix. If Anouk believed in a God or Goddess, this would be the perfect time for them to help her. Hearing the alarm caused Anouk to cringe in pain, she wasn't focused on controlling her super-hearing, so a simple annoying sound to a human caused the suprasenual vampire to roll her head around in pain, trying to block her ears from that screeching. Yelling a plea to the woman, it was frantic and desperate, "Get the silver off me, quick!"

God works in "mysterious ways", as they say. Frankly, she probably didn't look like much of a savior, but most never do. Fudge Haylee thought, when noting it was going to be three on one, no advantage. Then again reminding herself of: It didn't matter. This was the right thing to do! It's just that, well, she wished for something to go her way, at least once. For a moment, she glanced toward the vampire that told her to get rid of the silver. Haylee would've done so, if it hadn't of been for the small group in front of her. From a comment of, "We can take this B!tch" felt like they weren't going to budge away on their "donor." They were bigger then her, sure; yet they were also drunk in a way.
Not to mention, she had a weapon! It made her feel a little confident as one man had moved forward, trying to latch onto the tire iron; as to take it away from her. This felt like being a Chihuahua, trying to pick a fight with a pit bull over a bone. After loosing a grip on the iron, she had been shoved rather sharply to the ground. The car-alarm wasn't helping things, sure it was good for the first couple of seconds: Now, it was just annoying. How the heck could people shove that hard!? Groaning a slight bit, she tried to find where the tire iron had went. A shove didn't seem to bad, when compared to a kick to the ribs.
Blessings were funny, you counted them and could still complain. As in: Her tire iron hadn't been used against her, though complaining mentally on something else. That she couldn't find it. Where as she now had a kick to the ribs. Maybe, there was something oddly good about this, she was now close enough to the vampire. She could at least attempt to remove the silver that caused her some harm. Haylee reached out and started to remove a chain from the vampire's hands. Stopping as she was kicked again, This here's ours, B!tch!" When had been the last time, since she ever got into a fight? To good for her own good. Now wincing, before coughing a slight bit.

Something was wrong. Derek could feel it in his veins, a faint voice crying out in pain and anguish taunted his thoughts. He received the call only moments ago, his blood impossibly hot and his mind flashing with images of Anouk. Anouk was in trouble, he felt it in his veins.
He didn't know what lead him to that parking lot, but he had ran all the way and faster than a d@mn car could of got him there. He was in the shadows, his tall and brooding figure casted by shadows as his dark eyes focused on the scene in the parking lot.
He had been to this place before, when he had his interlude with Sam Merlotte. He wasn't there for anybody but Anouk, and he did not like what he was seeing - or what he was hearing.
"f**k man! We can take this little b!tch!"
"This here's ours, B!tch!"
"You.. f*cking.. imbeciles"
His voice was terrorizing, anger in his dark eyes as his fangs extended from his mouth. Once he saw Anouk, helpless and kept that way from silver something in his mind just clicked and he lost it.
In a blur, he had his hand wrapped around the throat about the boy who was terrorizing the blond woman. The other boys had reacted as Derek hoisted the boy kicking and screaming above his head.
"You son of a b!tch, how you F*cking DARE hit a woman!! Does it make you feel like a man? Huh? You want to SEE a f*cking man!!??!"
Derek was fast, and Derek was powerful, he threw the boy without a second thought across the parking lot and toward an empty garbage can. The boy hit it with a sickening smack, and another had come at him with a tire iron.
The tire iron was swung toward him, Derek had ducked and blurred around to grab the boy from behind and twist his arms around his back. One hand was easily securing the boy's arms behind him as the other had grabbed his black hair and pulled his head back so the boy got a terrible view of Derek with his fang's extended.
"You. Blond woman. Get those silver chains off of her. She will want their blood for this. And I am more happy to let her take it back. Blood for blood."
It would be a stupid move for the third guy to attack now, especially when the odds were a little more even. Derek urched forward and snuck his fangs deep into the boy's neck.
He was going to bring them pain. All of them.

You might describe Haylee as being somewhat bubbly and innocent, if not teaming with a optimistic view. Only as of this moment, it didn't feel to glorious on a "Looking up'' direction. She had leaped into the "muck" to help, only to fall on her face; in a manner of speaking. Yet, it had to get worse before it could get any better. Right? After letting go of another cough, Haylee sure as heck wanted to believe that. Now allowing her gaze to slowly wander, wishing that she had a tire iron. She should have never let it go, she should have held on tighter. It was a little to late for regrets, as Haylee tried to get off of the ground but was only able to turn over onto her hands and knees.
Just then, a menacing voice had greeted the nightly air, it had a hint of anger to it when making a comment. The men were imbeciles, fair enough; no argument there, yet being drunk can do that to you. Where in the heck did this new man come from? Squinting her eyes, not bothering to wince to the yelling he seemed to put forth. Everything felt like being in a movie, that someone had just fast forwarded; in order to get to the good part. Being that: Nearly all the ones responsible had been dispatched. This man, was a vampire!
Then again, so was the woman that had been hurt by these men. Vampires were really capable of THIS much power? It was a little frightening. While she didn't want the woman to suffer, as she tiredly began to remove all of the chains. Her breath was a little unsteady, to everything happening at once. "I-I..won't let you, ki-..ll them." Blood for blood, eye for an eye and everyone ends up dead.

Anouk, after all these years, didn't realized that vampires could have blood bonds between each other, but this came in handy. As Derek rushed to her aid, she felt relief wash over her, but when she saw him start to ravage the men, her sympathy kicked in. "Derek, don't!" She pleaded with him, begging him to not kill the men. Rough them up, yes, but not kill. She winced in pain as Haylee peeled the silver off of her, the sticky wounds healing instantly. In nanoseconds, Anouk got up and ran over to Derek, putting her hand on his face and trying to remove his grip on the boys neck. Before she knew it, blood started streaming from her eyes as she wished to be in his arms. But Haylee, what would she do with her? She was badly injured, and Anouk had to choose between stopping her lover and helping the girl. She chose Haylee, after all she attempted to save her from these men. Turning towards Haylee, she sped over to her, placed her arms under her torso and supported her. Anouk was torn, risk her getting injured more trying to find a hospital, which there wasn't on around here, or feed Haylee with her blood. She slowly lifted up Haylee's shirt just to see if there was any bruising, and she had severe bruising, Anouk knew there were at least 3 broken ribs. She could risk puncturing her lungs, and then she'd die no matter what. Anouk did that last thing she wanted as her fangs came out, she bit her wrist and placed it upon Haylee's mouth. "You have to drink or you'll die." She said hastily yet sternly.

"I-I..won't let you, ki-..ll them."
The statement coming from the blond woman had shocked Derek so much he retracted his fangs and looked toward the girl. He still had the boy in a secure hold, blood seeping from the two fang marks that only bled easier due to the way Derek had the boy's head pulled back.
"You have got to be f*cking kidding me. You? You are going to stop me from snapping these f*cker's necks when you can barely stand? These.. little boys are filth for laying their hands on Anouk, on both you and Anouk. They didn't show you any mercy and they don't deserve your sympathy. They deserve to die"
Derek had no interest in heeding the blond's words, he owed her nothing - not to mention he just saved her from getting killed! What the hell was wrong with this girl, the boy was begging for his pitiful life and his friend - the one Derek hadn't touched yet - was hiding from Derek like a coward. Derek was ready to snap the boy's neck without a second thought -
Until Anouk had stopped him.
"Derek, don't!"
"Anouk? Are you f*cking kidding me Anouk??! You too?! You are aware that they had every intention to bleed you dry? Do you even know how terrified you were and how you reached out for me? I do NOT like seeing you in pain! What is it with you bloody women?!!"
And then she started crying. Oh bloody hell. How could he kill these three when the friggin women he actually gave two-sh!ts about was crying? Irritated he lowered his mouth to the boys ear - -
"You have no idea how lucky you are boy, if I ever EVER hear of either of you going near me and mine again, not even Anouk's sympathy will save you."
Derek let the boy go, by tossing him like a rag-doll toward the other boy by the dumpster. That one was already up, and both of the boys had taken off running. Derek crossed his arm's, looking at the last one with dangerous eyes.
"If you even think about taking any of her blood with you, it will be your last mistake."
Derek watched as the boy left, another irritated growl under his breath as he walked over to Anouk and the other woman.
"Why the hell you just let them get away with that, I'll never know. Who is she?"

It was true, she could barely stand; let alone to put up any kind of fight with a vampire. Yet, she could try at least; it would be stupid and that's granted. It was about going down another road, as it is better to say: "You tried." Then doing nothing at all. "Y-ou have to gi-ve mercy, to receive i-it." Ow, that entire note-worth had stung like hell. Had she even been kicked? It didn't feel like it as Haylee nibbled on her bottom lip, remembering when her memory served her right. At least a odd "good" came out of this, when eying the ones responsible for this mess: Fleeing from their deed. She would've thanked "Derek" only she couldn't focus all to well. Except for listening to Anouk, urging her to drink or she would die. How does one become a vampire?
d**n thoughts racing through her brain, while slightly squeamish to the blood that was offered. Haylee didn't want to die and did the only thing she could. Which was to try and drink this woman's blood, while trying to avert the obvious fact of: It was blood. While wearing her work uniform, she had a small green apron tied to her. Basically something to stick her pad N' pen in, while taking orders and moving around. With a little stick of tape, in a corner it read: Haylee How long did she have to keep drinking? It was odd, but it almost felt like she could breathe a little better, the pain wasn't so bad either. Just what the hell is going on!?

What a night, this was all Anouk was thinking now, but as the human drank in more of her blood, she felt the healing properties of her blood fixing the little blonde, feeling relieved as her wounds began to heal. This girl did try to save her life, she may of failed, but it was incredibly noble. Anouk's fangs were still present as the girl drank, but pulled her wrist away as Anouk felt weak from the blood taken from her before and now. Her pale skin was even whiter, but a Tru Blood replenish her vitality. Anouk rubbed the skin around the little wounds, but before she could look at them twice they were healed perfectly.
"Are you okay? Do you feel any better?" While she said this, she felt Derek's rising anger, it made her angry as well, feeling his feelings was somewhat inconvenient when he was this furious. Getting up, she rushed into his arms, resting her head on his chest, whispering softly. "I'm sorry." That's all she could say, she wrapped her arms around his waist, hoping her sadness would effect him and bring his temper down.

After Anouk's blood was given to the blond woman, Derek only stood there like a big old' watchdog. If someone decided they were going to be foolish and come again for seconds he was fully prepared to deal with them. He was also questioning his own loyalty to Anouk, it wasn't like him to have loyalty to anyone - except Brandy. But that was chapter already written.
Didn't mean he didn't think about her from time to time.
He scoffed and turned his attention away from Anouk, which was why she was able to wrap her arms around his thick waist and tell him that she was sorry. She might of been sad, but that didn't do much to improve on Derek's mood.
"You would be more sorry if I hadn't of come around. If they killed the blond girl, what then? Would I still be expected to show mercy? That woman I saw in Fangtasia when I first met you was a lot different from the woman I am staring at now."
Anouk might of wanted Derek to be the way she was, but all Derek wanted to do was find those boys and slaughter them. It wasn't even about Anouk anymore - it was about Derek. And the blond woman, he shot her blue eyes a glare - he did not like her at all.
"I'm done here."
Nobody was coming back for the girls, he decided, and he stepped back from Anouk's grasp around him. He was irritated, angry, and not very impressed with how the night turned out in the slightest. His thirst remained, if only he could track someone down to kill.

She was healed. Almost instantly, as a matter of fact. Which left her puzzled on what to call the moment. A miracle? It felt like one, being on the brink of death; then saved from it's fate. "V" was addictive, that much she knew, only this proved on how much she didn't know. The healing property. Speaking of the word "property," to whomever owned the car of the alarm that rang; it finally silenced. Thank the lord above, it was a screeching and annoying sound; plus it could attract attention. The near-silence was best, as slowly: Haylee began to sit up, "I-..am fine. Really." Answering Anouk's question as to her personal state, while still feeling a tad bit shaken over what happened. Who wouldn't be? Once she could muster herself to stand, both feet were standing upon the ground; firmly.
Catching a glimpse of Anouk and Derek, while they appeared close. Haylee turned from them, not wanting to eavesdrop; though managed to get a glare from Derek. A perked eyebrow had ensued, wondering for the cause of such a look. As for being "Done here," Haylee didn't want either one of them to leave yet. Not until she had said what she wanted to. "Thank you, for..helping me." It was kind of ironic, in the sad way. Staring out to save a person in trouble, only to be saved in turn. TWICE. If she could recall right, Derek had asked on whom she was. The whole reason for this meeting was a little messed up, there didn't feel like a proper time to introduce herself. Yet, it only seemed fair. "I'm Haylee."

Her breath would be taken away, if she was breathing. How dare he do that?! Because she showed mercy he was turning away from her. She retracted her arms and turned quickly, looking back at Haylee, not saying anything more to Derek. "Thank you, for..helping me." Anouk rubbed her wrist again, feeling the transfer of energy from the ancient vampire to the young girl, and almost felt Haylee's emotions in her; They were a mix of fright and safety, calm and some other's she couldn't really make out. Now Anouk had done it, she had a blood tie to this girl, this femme petite. It was a life or death situation for the girl, and Anouk didn't regret her decision. Now, only time would tell if all the usual signs of a human-vampire blood tie would show up in the girl. "Well, you tried to save me, so it's only fair to return the favor" Anouk smiled at la femme petite, wondering how her actions would impact her, but pushed that out of her mind. When she introduced herself, Anouk took the oppertunity to introduce herself as well, and maybe get to know la femme petite. "I'm Anouk. It's entirely my pleasure." She felt like bowing, like from the old courts, but decided against as to not freak the girl out. So, now she made a move. "Were you leaving? If you're not, I'd love to buy you a drink." Anouk's stature relaxed, she wrapped her arms around herself, mimicking a cold human at best.

"I'm Haylee."
Haylee. Well, at least he could put a name to the face now. Why he was still standing there, he didn't know. And he caught the glare Anouk had gave him, and he shot her one right back.
He owed her nothing. In fact, she owed him and seeing her play around with Haylee.. well, it just made him cringe inside. He needed some guy friends. Women came with too much baggage for his liking and he didn't understand them at all.
Should he even bother introducing himself? Anouk had, and for some reason she seemed overly excited about this female. Was Anouk bisexual? And if she was, what did it matter to him?
"Were you leaving? If you're not, I'd love to buy you a drink."
Derek rolled his eyes, physically - and quite loudly, growled toward Anouk.
"Jesus Christ woman, why don't you just dive in between her legs while your at it? "
Alright, maybe he was just a tad bit jealous. Still, he was already waving the situation off as he headed in the opposite direction. At this point, he could care less if he ever saw Anouk again. Her, or her stupid human.
