Damian couldn't stop thinking of Brandy. Not since the day she helped solve his issue with Alicia. It was four days and he finally talked to Alicia and told her the things that were going on and now they were back to being freinds. He decided to text Brandy.
Damian walked his way to the same place they sat four days ago. THe day he told Brandy things he never told anyone. He missed her for some odd reason. He didn't know what was going on, all he knew was that he was happy. He had his friendship back with Alicia, Brandy was safe and everything seemed back to normal.
Damian sat down while he waited for Brandy. He thought of all they've been through together and on their own. He thought of his mixed feelings. And figured out that he liked her more then he thought.

Brandy had been at the bar, eating a plate of fries with a side of ketchup when she felt the familiar vibration in her back pocket. There had been a whole new group of stares the least 4 days that had been dying down once people got used to her short hair.
She looked like a whole different person, hell she even felt different - like a whole new her. She still had the occasional wink which made her blush but it was a lot easier to take care of now, her hair that was. With that thought in mind she popped open the phone and read the text message.
Oh! It was Damian. She didn't know if the message was good or bad, it was very straight forward so she wouldn't find out till she got there.
Brandy shut her phone and told Sam she would be back in a bit before she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and hopped into her car. The last few days had been good - good, quiet, and normal. Maybe things were finally looking up.
It took 15 minutes for Brandy to arrive at the library. She had pulled into the parking lot so she could walk from the car to where she saw Damian in the same place they were days before.
She didn't know if it was good news or bad news, so she sat down beside him and offered him a soft smile which would be encouraging either way.
"Hey.. I got your message. So, how did the talk with Alicia go?"
She hoped it was good. She didn't like seeing Damian hurt by anybody.

Great, Damian couldn't wait to see her and tell her about what happened. She would be happy that what was making him sad is all token care of. He was in way better shape now, he got his hair trimmed a little so he looked less gross and felt less gross.
As he sat there waiting for Brandy he decided to go into the library. He checked all the books on the shelf, all he could find was some Romances and Thrillers, Omens maybe. He didn't get anything, instead he nodded to the librarian before going back outside and sitting down where he was to begin with.
Then of course he saw Brandy's car and he waved and smiled. This was to make sure she knew it was good news and let her relax. When she sat down he couldn't wait to begin his long story of happiness.
"Hey.. I got your message. So, how did the talk with Alicia go?"
"It went great." Damian smiled happily. "We are still friends and apparently she loves this vampire and I told her I respect her change in morals." Damian grabbed Brandy's hand as a friendly gesture. "It's all because of you. I have her back, and she's a friend I won't stop loving no matter what. And now I can watch my first love walk the isle in two months."
Damian still couldn't believe that Alicia decided for vampires, but he was happy that she was happy. "Would you like to go with me?" Damian didn't want to go alone no matter what. He just didn't trust anyone anymore. "Also, could we do something today? I have nothing to do."

Brandy could already see the positive change in Damian, he looked good. Well, he usually looked good, except the last time she had saw him he was pretty torn up inside. Now, there was a whole new.. light about him. It made Brandy smile.
"It went great."
He was actually smiling, it was the first time she had seen him smile. After all, when she first met him in the bar he was upset about Alicia, the whole time in Dallas he was worried about her, and when they found her.. well. It was his first real smile and it warmed her heart.
"We are still friends and apparently she loves this vampire and I told her I respect her change in morals."
Damian had reached for her hands in a friendly gesture and she returned his smile, reaching for his hands as well. But she wasn't expecting the words he spoke next..., at least not the last part anyway.
"It's all because of you. I have her back, and she's a friend I won't stop loving no matter what. And now I can watch my first love walk the aisle in two months."
"Aww, D', I was just being a friend. I gave the best advice that I could, I am very happy that you have her back as a friend and that your not torn up inside anymore. You look so much better, and seeing a smile on your face for the first time since I have ever met you.. it's the most beautiful sight I have ever seen"
Brandy eased her hands away from him, placing them back on her lap. There was one thing that she had to go over again in her mind. Alicia was getting married? Already?
"By down the aisle.. in two months.. you mean she is going to marry that vampire? I won't lie to you Damian, I'm a bit thrown off by that.. but, I think it's great you seem alright with it. Not like you could do anything, but I hope she is making the right decision. "
The last thing Brandy had wanted to do was judge someone she had only met once. And of course, that one time wasn't exactly the best first impression on either of their parts. Time had come and gone, of course, but it seemed a little too soon. She couldn't imagine marrying Sam, not for quite some time anyway..
"Would you like to go with me?"
"In a heartbeat. I will wear the most gorgeous dress that I own and we will go home with everyone feeling envious because we were the best looking pair there!"
Brandy giggled at the thought, she wouldn't want to upstage Alicia at her wedding because it was her day and every bride deserved to be beautiful and the center of attention. But it didn't mean that she couldn't upstage one or two of the bridesmaids'.
"Also, could we do something today? I have nothing to do."
"Something today eh? Hmm, well, how would you like to go to the mall and play some skeeball with me? They also have air hockey, dance dance revolution, and some virtual shooting games. I'm not sure what you are into but we could grab some lunch after ward if you wanted"
Brandy recalled how many tickets she actually won from playing skeeball in the mall last time she went with Sam and Kyle ended up showing up. She never actually did get the gift from Sam, which made her wonder if he forgot about it.
She shook the thought away and wondered if Kyle was still using the PlayStation 2 she ended up giving him because she had no use for it.
"We could do that... or, we could go for a picnic behind the library. They have a really nice park back there with a gazebo, I could just pick us up some chicken or something at KFC. It doesn't matter really, I have all day to spend with you if you like. As long as I'm back before the bar closes, Sam won't mind."

You look so much better, and seeing a smile on your face for the first time since I have ever met you.. it's the most beautiful sight I have ever seen"
"And your friendship helped me finally be happy. I haven't been this happy in a long while. I used to be happy and smile a lot. But after I moved here my life was turned upside down. Though some things turned out good," he smiled up at her. "Your one of the good things."
"By down the aisle.. in two months.. you mean she is going to marry that vampire? I won't lie to you Damian, I'm a bit thrown off by that.. but, I think it's great you seem alright with it. Not like you could do anything, but I hope she is making the right decision."
"Brandy, I am alright with anything right now. I don't love her like that. But apparently she dated him while I still lived a block away. So she's known him for a while and I guess her trips to Dallas was for that reason." While Damian was talking his smile faded then he looked at Brandy and brightened back up.
"In a heartbeat. I will wear the most gorgeous dress that I own and we will go home with everyone feeling envious because we were the best looking pair there!"
"Alicia gave me a credit card filled with money. So I'll buy your dress, my tux and anything else you or I need. And we will match and look better then anybody except the bride and groom," he smiled sweetly. Damian was very happy, the happiest person ever.
"Something today eh? Hmm, well, how would you like to go to the mall and play some skeeball with me? They also have air hockey, dance dance revolution, and some virtual shooting games. I'm not sure what you are into but we could grab some lunch after ward if you wanted"
"How about all the above?" Damian has never been to the mall here. "Then maybe we can look for some good dresses and tuxes. Though I heard the Vampire shop had a lot of interesting things and I was planning on checking it out." He was hoping she would agree with him.
"We could do that... or, we could go for a picnic behind the library. They have a really nice park back there with a gazebo, I could just pick us up some chicken or something at KFC. It doesn't matter really, I have all day to spend with you if you like. As long as I'm back before the bar closes, Sam won't mind."
"I am thinking we could do both of them. First go to the mall, then we can stop at a store and buy some sandwich things and chips then come back here and eat. Then if there's still time we could do something else." Damian smiled brightly.

Well, when Brandy woke up this morning she didn't expect the day was going to be so fun! She rarely had the chance to go out, have a crazy good time and do it all day!
There were a few things Brandy had learned already, Alicia was seeing both Damian and this other guy for a long time but she was generously paying for anything pertaining to the wedding. Damian was alright with it (which, still blew Brandy away), and he wanted to stop at a vampire shop to look at clothes."You don't mind if I skip out the vampire shop do you Damian? It's not that I have anything against vampires, just after this whole thing with Jack I've been kind of treading lightly.."There, of course, was a very little chance she would end up bumping into Jack but better a 'no' chance than a 'little' chance.
Damian seemed excited about all the things Brandy had suggested, this to no end amazed her and she was beaming! Damian was going to play air hockey with her? Maybe even D.D.R!! She didn't get a chance to with Sam and she was aching for a good round of air hockey!"Damian, you are the best! I mean it, really!"She rushed to wrap her arms around him in a tight hug, she thought today was going to be the usual but with so many events planned together, well, she couldn't help it! She was excited.
And she needed - no, she deserved a little fun!
When she finally pulled away from Damian she was grinning wickedly, reaching for his hand as she lead him toward the car. Sure, she was fan of walking everywhere but the mall was a few blocks away."We can go clothes shopping any time, Damian. Lets go play a couple rounds of air hockey and pick up our snacks at the store in the mall. I love picnics, especially those with tuna sandwiches and potato salad.. is that a little weird?"Once they reached the car, an older Buick, Brandy let go of Damian's hand and eased into the driver's side after she clicked open the automatic doors. The mall was a 10 minute drive - a 40 minute walk, and the pair arrived in no time.
It was like second nature to her, like she had known Damian for years - even if it had only been a couple weeks. She really was just that naturally comfortable around him - which, was always a good thing.
The moment they came into the game stop the lady behind the counter had her eyes wide, expecting to have to give away another game system."Oh silly, don't worry - I won't take another game system from you, I will be taking that 24 karat gold watch from you though so please put it aside"The clerk nodded, looking at Damian with a curious glance."Are you a game master like she is? My boss won't stop talking about the 10,000 tickets she won the last time she was here.""Oh, silly, you guys make that up in a day"The clerk laughed slightly, and Brandy was already making her way over to Skeeball section. She planned on getting all her tickets first, and then jumping on the air hockey with Damian. "Hey Damian, you ever played this before?"

"You don't mind if I skip out the vampire shop do you Damian? It's not that I have anything against vampires, just after this whole thing with Jack I've been kind of treading lightly.."
"You don't have to go. It's surprising that I am going. But it's a vampire wedding and you know we need to out dress them" Damian smiled up at him. "It's okay. Do what you need to do." He lightly kissed her cheek. "And just be happy."
"Damian, you are the best! I mean it, really!"
"Well thank you. I think you're the best." Once Brandy hugged him, he wrapped his arm around her. And kissed her lightly. "Sweetie, just lets go have some fun okay. Be happy." When she grabbed his hand, he entwined there fingers together.
"We can go clothes shopping any time, Damian. Lets go play a couple rounds of air hockey and pick up our snacks at the store in the mall. I love picnics, especially those with tuna sandwiches and potato salad.. is that a little weird?"
"Yes, we don't have to shop. I'll do it on my own, sooner or later." Damian smiled up at her. "No that's not weird. I love tuna and potato salad. So I will enjoy this picnic with you." "Oh silly, don't worry - I won't take another game system from you, I will be taking that 24 karat gold watch from you though so please put it aside"
Damian looked from her to the clerk. "The watch is a pretty watch. I might take the game station though. I need another," He smiled up at the lovely Brandy.
"Are you a game master like she is? My boss won't stop talking about the 10,000 tickets she won the last time she was here."
"I haven't seen her play. But I am pretty good. Back where I am from. I was town champion in Skeeball and Air-hokey." Damian smiled up at the clerk and looked at Brandy. Then Brandy mentioned how they made it up. Damian began to laugh.
"Hey Damian, you ever played this before?"
"Town Champion baby." He grabbed the ball and made it into the 50 point hole. "See." Damian winked. "We are gonna put this place out of buisness."

"Sweetie, just lets go have some fun okay. Be happy."
Brandy stood there dumbfounded for a sec.. did he realize that he just kissed her? It was a light kiss, a friendly peck like you would give a parent.. but it was still his lips on her's and she - - -
-- she was reading too much into it. That was what she decided, his light touches, holding her hand, the light flirting - it was all just a friend thing. A guy and a girl, both friends just enjoying each others company... right?
"The watch is a pretty watch. I might take the game station though. I need another,"
"I actually gave mine to Kyle, I don't think I would of ever had time to play it"
Brandy had one of the balls in her hand, a smile on her face after she asked Damian if he played the game. She was pleasantly surprised when he more than proved that he did.. by sending a ball into the 50 point hole.
"We are gonna put this place out of business."
Brandy smirked, tossing her own ball up the ramp and into the 50 point hole. Tickets were already starting to pour out for the both of them and Brandy couldn't help but to laugh as her and Damian maxed out the game together.
"The air hockey table doesn't give out tokens, but I think I have enough for that watch now Damian"
It had been 15 minutes that they were playing, Brandy had armfuls of tickets that she had taken up to the clerk and cashed in for the watch she had wanted. It was actually Damian she had passed it over too, right before they were to play the air hockey table.
"Here, I wanted it for you anyway, sort of my .. thanks, for being such a good friend. *grinning* and my apology for kicking your butt at air hockey"
Yes, she was aware that they hadn't even started the game yet, but the challenge was there and she was grinning wickedly.

"I actually gave mine to Kyle, I don't think I would of ever had time to play it"
"Well maybe after the picnic. Me and you can go to my place with the pretty Wii that I am gonna win in a few minutes." Damian smiled up at her. He lightly touched her hand with his. It was a friendly gesture towards her, with a tiny hint of flirting.
Damian was scoring 50's over and over again. Until he had just enough for the Wii. "Brandy, I have enough for my new game system." He smiled brightly because she had enough for the watch. She said something about the air hockey table.
They began to walk to the counter. Both with a bunch of tickets in their arms. Once they got there Damian traded his for the Wii while Brandy got the watch she wanted.
"Here, I wanted it for you anyway, sort of my .. thanks, for being such a good friend. *grinning* and my apology for kicking your butt at air hockey"
"Thanks for the gift. But you know your not gonna kick my butt. Though if you play as good as you do skeeball then you might. But we both seem to be good at arcade games." Damian smiled and took her hand and led her to the table. "Maybe we could become the King and Queen of the Arcade."

After the picnic they could go to Damian's place and play Wii? Damian really wanted her for the afternoon it seemed! And why not? It was harmless, right? Brandy was getting lost in the moment of air hockey, but in the end they ended up with a tied score of 25 to 25.
After the game was done, both headed out and the clerk waved to the both of them. The clerk's boss would know who had come back that day, and she wondered if that other blond haired guy Brandy came in with last week had been as good as the new guy Brandy had come in with today.
Brandy lead Damian to a grocery store that was located in the mall, and she paid for two tuna sandwiches, some paper plates, a couple bottles of iced tea, potato salad, and a strawberry shortcake. It was exactly what Brandy would want to eat, and Damian didn't seem to protest at all.
The pair headed toward the car and Brandy drove them back to the library, her hands were full with food as they walked to the backyard of the library where a beautiful park was. The grass was the greenest Brandy had ever seen and she spread out a blanket for them to sit on.
"We lucked out Damian, there is nobody here so it's just the two of us"
She was smiling warmly at him as she passed him his sandwich, iced tea, and a plate of potato salad. Briefly their hands had touched and Brandy blushed, mumbling an apology as she took a drink of her iced tea.

After airhockey they said night to the clerk and left. They tied score of 25 each. They were both very good at arcade games. It seemed like she hasn't been in awhile.
Damian followed Brandy to the store and all around until they got all they wanted. He smiled shyly as they baught all the delicous food. Damain couldn't complain about anything she bought because he liked all the things. It seemed they had a lot of stuff in common.
When Brandy passed him a plate of food, she brushed his hand and said sorry. He grabbed her hand and entwined there fingers,"There isn't no need for a sorry." Damian smiled up at her and kissed her cheek.
But when he looked up and saw how beautiful she was and how close her lips were to his, he just couldn't stop himself. He scouted over where his legs were almost over hers. Damian sat on his knees and moved his lips from her cheek down to her lips before wrappin his arms around her waist and pulling her close. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and moved it in a very talanted way.

"There isn't no need for a sorry."
Brandy was confused as he took her hand and leaned forward to kiss her cheek. This felt.. different than when he usually leaned forward to kiss her cheeks, and her heart was racing because of it.
It was like a slow motion movie, everything around her - especially time - seemed to stop. She didn't have to be a mind reader to know what he was thinking and as his lips slipped toward hers she felt him wrap an arm around her waist and pull her close.
It was happening before she realized it. His silky tongue was in her mouth and the kiss was.. full of yearning, and she.. she was kissing him back. Her own tongue delicately wrapped around his own and her eyes were closed tightly. She slipped into the kiss entirely and the moment the kiss broke, she felt so unbelievably..
... guilty.
"Damian.. I... I'm sorry.. I can't.."
Her heart was racing, and she couldn't even look at him. She didn't want him to follow her, if he did... well, she didn't want to use magic but she would if she had too. She was already running, trying to get away from everything..
The images of the kiss running through her head, clouding her mind - her heart racing even as she slipped into her car and took off onto the road.
She didn't know where to go, and the bar.. seemed like the only other option at the time.

Damian was in another world while he was connected to Brandy in a new way. She was as into it as he was and he felt her tounge on his. When they broke away from each other his head was spinning and he didn't notice Brandy leave.
Damian was sitting on the blanket with all the food and praying that this didn't ruin there friendship. That they could be friends, even with this bothering them. Damian didn't understand anything that went on. He looked at the food and had threw up. His stomach was turning and he didn't understand it.
Damian drunk some tea before cleaning up and moving everything into a pile of the blanket and he laid of the blanket hoping his stomach would stop turning and his head to stop spinning.

Sam was behind the bar, making drinks and putting orders onto trays for tables. Brandy came bundling through the door. Sam gave her a warm smile. "Hey you..." he paused noticing her demeanour was a little off. "You okay?" Sam waited for Brandy to reply, he hoped everything was alright.
It was daytime, so it couldn't have been Jack or anyother Vampire for that matter. So, just what was bugging her so much.

"Hey you..."
She actually stopped halfway across the bar when she heard his voice. She rose her head to look at him, but with the taste of Damian still on her lips she couldn't even hold Sam's gaze. Why did she think Sam wouldn't be here? Why did she come here, of all places, after what just happened??!!
"You okay?"
Brandy's mind was swimming with emotions as she walked up to the bar, and sat down, not looking at Sam for even the slightest of moments.
She didn't know what to say, what to do.. what to think. All she could was be flooded with this huge emotion of guilt...
"No. No I'm not okay. Sam, I..."
She couldn't even bring herself to say the words.
