"All at the beginning," Haylee pipped up whenever Sam had spoken, not knowing where to begin. It really was not a joke on her part, it was the truth; that she had piped up in the pause. If you start at the beginning, your bound to get to the point of what is REALLY bothering you. Of course, she could sympathize. It wasn't easy to find such a beginning, yet would listen for however long it took. Now blinking as Sam had started to do just that, it felt like no time at all had passed. Gently gripping her mug and silently had another sip. Taking into account of: Problems had arisen between him and Brandy.
Haylee winced as she learned that BB had been hurt, though was glad to hear that she had been saved. Although, it had been done from a vampire's blood; creating a awkward bond. She KNEW that one and finally: She could have someone to talk to about that. Although, now wasn't the time to think about herself. What troubled her was that Sam thought he was loosing BB, like everything had gone down hill. First things first, the BIG question. "Why do you feel like your loosing her?" Then a curious "George" question arose, "Are you pushing her away any?"

"Why do you feel like your loosing her?"
"I'm just afraid, that I will...that..I..." Sam paused debating internally wether or not to tell Haylee about his old feelings for Sookie. "I don't want to lose someone else I care about to a Vampire." it was veiled enough an answer. No incriminating names.
Haylee's other question really hit home. He wasn't pushing Brandy away as such, but he wasn't being as....affectionate as he usually was with her. Maybe this was all his fault? "I'm holding back part of myself. I hate, really hate the idea of him knowing how she's feeling."
Sam slumped his body forward as he leant on the edge of the back counter. He hated this feeling of being so lost. Sam had never really had a proper girlfriend. There had been girls, women in his life. But never something as permanent as Brandy and he cherished her and there relationship. But Jack lingering around made it all so difficult.

When a person is afraid, they often tread upon stupid things. It is what makes everyone human, more or less. Haylee wasn't downplaying Sam's fear at all, in a sense: She understood. You could have a person in your life, then gone within the next and never to revisit them. Heck, it is what her own father did. It is a conversation that she wished to have with him, now that her mother was not around. It had been difficult keeping one question at bay. A simple, "Why?" If she were to learn the truth upon locating him, should he even be alive still: It would probably CHANGE EVERYTHING. Well, shake her to the core, a slight bit.
Usually, to forget you had any problem at all was to speak with someone. Rarely, you had a moment where a few things came flying back at you. It would be nice to talk with someone, but who? Right now, Sam needed her help! So, she'd focus on that for now and tried to smile. "The vampire saved her life, its not anyone's fault. Though, you can't let it keep coming between you." That was just the beginning of her words, as Haylee looked down toward her coffee. Continuing to speak, "Your going to loose her, if you keep holding back on her Sam." Haylee REALLY didn't want to say those words, yet it felt true to her.

Sam sighed heavily, unleashing his problems on Haylee hadn't helped like he thought it would. Not her fault of course, Sam just struggled with the reality of the situation. "I know it's not anyone's fault, and I know I'm gonna lose her. I know I am. I just can't get his face out of my mind. It's killing me."
Sam looked up at Haylee, desperation in his eyes. "What am I supposed to do? Everytime I get close to her, I pull back because all I feel is his eyes on her. The knowledge that wherever she is, whatever she does, whatever she's feeling. He'll know, he can be there faster than I can and I hate it, I f**king hate it."
Sam's temper flared up at the thought of Jack. If Jack was apologetic or compassionate about the situation, Sam may react differently. But as it was, Jack as flippant and selfish.

"I don't think anyone can help you on this." No, she wasn't giving up; just looking at this from a new light. "Other then BB, Sam." Haylee added before offering more of her thoughts on the delicate situation, "Because somehow, you gotta face her and deal with this together." Mainly, her thought was to deal with this: Vampire, that had him in drowning-like manner within his relationship. "Instead of letting it drift you apart, N' letting yourself be so angry at what you can't do." Because of whatever he may feel about this vampire, it probably wasn't easy on BB. From what she could tell, she seemed to like Sam very much. He, liking her in return: Is the obvious notion by this conversation. "When comparing yourself to a vampire." If BB had wanted a vampire, she'd be with one: Is the logical thought. Aside of that, she had chosen Sam.

Sam paced a little more, his mind was a warzone. One sight pit against the other. The side that knew Haylee was right and the one that wasn't listening, the one that didn't care.
"Ugh" Sam let out a disgruntled noise and looked up at Haylee. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be bothering you with this. It's not right." Sam didn't finish the sentence, 'cause you got troubles of yer own'. No, Sam wasn't going to give Haylee any hint of knowledge of her actions during Maryann's presence.
"I know you're right Chere, I do need to be going through all'a this with Brandy." He gave Haylee a thin smile. "But thanks for listening to me all the same."

Whenever Sam had expressed a disgruntled tone, he looked toward her and spoke. At that brief window, Haylee had thought Sam wasn't liking her advice. Not. At. All. Though, she was surprised as everything sank in more. Noting that he was "sorry," for bothering her with everything and that she was right. Huh. Haylee smiled briefly and shook her forehead, opening her lips to comment. "I don't mind Sam." In fact, every now and then: A person had to crash and talk to someone. "Anytime!" By that point, Haylee glanced toward her coffee and it felt a little cold. Time really flew when you were doing something and even just talking. "Maybe get away with BB sometime, for some space away home?" She couldn't think of any more suggestions to give at this point.

"Maybe get away with BB sometime, for some space away home?"
Sam's face suddenly brightened a little. A getaway would be perfect, but only when Brandy was free from Jack. Then they could take some time out. Hopefully it could coincide with the renovations Sam had planned. Which reminded Sam he had to start phoning round contractors to get someone out as soon as possible.
"That is a great idea Haylee. I'll definetly start lookin' in to that. I think we both earned it." Sam smiled at his waitress, his surprising new confidante. "I gotta make a few calls, gonna get someone in to fix this place up. It's long overdue."
