Lafayette wiped his hands clean with a dish towel, then walked over towards the counter. Looking down at the order, he raised his eyebrows and looked back up at the single customer, a brunette woman who Lafayette could've sworn he's seen before. "All's this s*it for her?" He asked in disbelief then laughed, noticing she had ordered two of his very special burgers. "My motherf**kin' specialty." He winked at Haylee and then stretched his arms and cracked his knuckles.

Well, Kyle couldn't tell what the woman had ordered up - he couldn't see the ticket. All he knew was that she had ordered some of Lafayette's special burgers...among some obvious other things. Whoa, that woman sure can put it away. "So. What you need me to do?" He asked, since his job was to help prepare the food.

Lafayette had forgotten Kyle was there. He realized it again when Kyle spoke up. "Uhh..." He trailed off, looking down at the order. "You's can get out da french fries." He suggested, pointing towards the freezer. "Then put's them on a motherf**kin' bakin' sheet and put them in da oven for 12 motherf**kin' minutes."

Haylee's thought exclaimed a joyous and breif theme,Whew. No chicken scratch! Feeling a huge relief to see that her: Writing could be read and frankly, it would be a little awkward if it couldn't be read. With a tiny smile appearing to her lips, she replied toward the question asked of her. "Yep. All for that one!" Which, now that she "thought" about it, all of that food seemed to be a feast; then just pecking. It didn't really matter to much. It's what the customer wants and it's what "they" get! Her forehead gently nodded toward a statement of "specialty," being that it seemed to be a popular item here. "I'll have to try it, one day." With that, she had to depart in order to see if anymore customers had shown up.

Lafayette threw a smile at Haylee before turning around and getting to work. He walked over to the coffee maker and opened up the top. Picking up the coffee bag, he opened it, dipped the scooper inside and then poured the coffee into the maker. He then put the lid down and took up the coffee pot. He filled it up with water and then poured the water in the place it goes in the maker. He then pressed the start button and looked up and over to see how Kyle was doing.

Maryann drummed her fingernails on the hard laminated table. She was still alone, more or less. Was this place always this empty? Surely not. Dammit she was hungry and needed her coffee. Without her coffee she just couldn't function properly.
Maryann smiled as Haylee came back into the main bar area, looking around for someone else to serve. Poor girl. She shouldn't be shackled up to this drudgery, she should be out enjoying life. She was young, she was pretty, she could have anyone she wanted.
Maryann waved her over. "Come sit with me Haylee, there's no-one around to mind." she put her hand to motion to the seat across from her in the booth and gave her a 'you know you want to' look.

Kyle looked over at Lafayette as the other man just finished up with the coffe maker. "So, what you need me to do?" Lafayette will do all the cooking - because Kyle can't cook worth a d**n - and Kyle will prepare the easy stuff and...stuff. "Oh, and can I have a cup of that?" He said, nodding towards the coffee maker [/blockquote]

Clearly, Kyle hadn't heard Lafayette's directions and so he, Lafayette, repeated himself. "You's can get out da french fries." He pointed lazily to the freezer. "An' get out a bakin' sheet, put 'em on and put them in da oven for 12 motherf**kin' minutes." He finished briskly, beginning to feel doubtful. Lafayette looked down at the maker and gave a swift shrug of his shoulders. The coffee maker dinged and Lafayette poured the coffee into a cup. "Order up!" He called to Haylee, placing the mug on the front counter.

Huh. Not a single soul had shown up; that was slightly akin to being inside of a ghost town for the current shift. Maybe it's just a slow day. Or maybe it- While Haylee's thoughts tried to explain the situation; suddenly the chain had been interrupted. Maryann had spoken to her, giving a 'nudge-like' feel for her to sit. Well, the look that was expressed: Has not helped things either. She in fact did want to sit down. Heck, it couldn't hurt? Right. With a tiny smile, Haylee made her way toward Maryann and sat across from the woman. "I don't think I've seen it, er-this slow before." It felt nice to share a semblance of her thought with someone, though she did wonder about something. How long it would take for Maryann's order to finish. A small, "speak of the devil" arose when getting a "order up.""Ah, just when I had sat down, too."
