If vampires could breathe Pam would have sighed. Instead she pursed her lips. The dance floor was filling up and all the little calves were girating to the rhythme of the music. She wasn't fond of the new music and longed to get back to the opera hall to listen to something familar. Nothing compared to hearing Bach or Beetoveen in "person" but the imitations weren't half bad. Tonight Eric had permitted her to wear something other than the hideous dress she had to wear when she was carding at the door. It was black and tight just like the bangers liked but at least it wasn't frothy or gothic. Just thinking about it almost made her cringe. Most humans just cowed at the sight of her. They wanted her because she was close to Eric and everyone wanted Eric. "Except for Ms. Sookie Stackhouse" Pam thought aloud. The little man next to her nearly jumped out of his skin. "Um, who is that? Do you want that? Could I be that for you?" Pam pursed her lips again but this time she rolled her eyes. "No boy, no one but Sookie can be Sookie but thank you for offering." She begrudgingly patted his head and the man nearly fainted. That was amusing, maybe not everyone here wanted Eric after all.

"No one but Sookie can be Sookie?" a voice sounded from inside the bar. The owner of the voice was none other than Sekhmet, the old vampiress. Her dress was slightly less formal than usual, but it was gold and flashy, daring anyone to guess where her rich taste originated from. "Indeed, but no one but Pam can be the devious one who finds Sookie a little too human for Eric's eyes," Sekhmet said, appearing beside Pam.
Truth be told, Pam was one of the few females Sekhmet enjoyed seeing around, there were not enough Pams in the world. Yet then, with more Pams, the original would no longer be quite as interesting. Sekhmet was carrying a True Blood, or Fake Blood as she saw it, it did not satisfy her, but it at least held her off for a while. If only she could have a chance to drink some real true blood, that would be amazing.

Pam whirled around with the slightest of ease. Finally something interesting was about to begin. Her mouth curved up slightly. "Sekhmet, my, my it feels like its been ages however I am quite certain I saw you wondering around here a few days ago." Pam eyed her approvingly with a hint of envy. Sekhmet was always someone who dressed with flair. Pam noticed the bottle of synthetic blood and this was almost enough to draw a laugh out of her. "Not that it is any of your business but I am sure if you ask Eric about Sookie and he feels like playing, he will share." Pam could feel her makers stare drilling holes in the back of her head. The young man standing near her tried to rub her arm. Pam sent him a scathing look. He backed off a few inches but didn't leave. "I am surprised by your choice of beverage. We do appreciate your patronage but isn't there some young bar maiden you should be seducing at this moment?"

It seemed that with every new vampiric year, the word ages seemed to carry a different meaning. Tonight, it meant a few days. "Yes, just surveying your new crowd," she observed, looking around. There were certainly more humans these days than there were while the vampires remained in secrecy. It was a rather nice change though, since now she merely had to ask a fangbanger for their blood and they'd topple over and reveal their jugulars within a second. However, it did ruin her taste, food is never good when it's been tamed, it's the thrill of the chase that brings the true tender taste to one's blood.
"Females are nice every once in a while, but men taste better," she replied. This Sookie was the one that everyone wanted to taste, or at least Eric, but he just seemed to be everyone these days. "Have you ever heard of the human term: pre-gaming? It refers to when one drinks a few shots before going to a party so that way they can calm themselves and not get carried away when the feast of beer appears. Same concept, different beverage," she acknowledged the man that had attempted to make a move on Pam and was loyally waiting nearby. Pathetic humans. "It seems you need no seducing, you have a hold out line for blood."

Pam looked at the groveler with some disdain. She caressed his cheek and pointed him to an empty booth. He practically purred with delight. After he was gone she turned her full attention to the elder vampire. "You know how it is, I am the assistant to a local celebrity, who wouldn't want me?" Pam stated with disgust. As she looked out into the crowd she noticed some vampire getting a little too frisky with a human. "Pardon me one moment." Pam glided in and leaned over to whisper into the dead mans ear. There was a tiny shriek from the woman as the vampire crumpled to the floor in pain. Pam swiftly collected the vamp and tossed him out doors. The look on Eric's face demonstrated his unhappiness at the situation. She would find out later if it was with her. She returned to Sekhmet. "Life was easier when we didn't have to, what was that phrase you used? Pre-gaming? It is quite an interesting phrase to say the least. Sure you can have all you can eat but is it really fun anymore if on every corner there is a 24 hour buffet?" Pam smoothed the front of her dress. Pooh, it had gotten dirty from taking out the trash.

Sekhmet did not mind when Pam excused herself to deal with the others. Instead of watching intently, Sekhmet sort of dazed off, in the way that vampires could. With Pam's return, she resumed her attention and looked back at Pam. "It is odd, mice do not simply throw themselves out to a lion as it walks by. Why humans tend to have this nature around us these days. Although I must admit, it warms my blood to capture one of the unwilling every once in a while," she added. Of course, she would have to take care of the unwilling in a separate room, but a traitor was always delicious. Vampires were definitely superior to humans, but she never expected everyone to realize that, not after they had been fighting for domination for so long, now they just wanted to fit in and humans would not let them do so. Silly humans.

"Old friend what are you doing this fine evening? Stirring up trouble perhaps? Anything you want to fill me in on?" Sekhmet was one of the oldest vampires Pam had met and some of the stories she could tell were so awe inspiring she didn't know how so much beauty could be created out of so much death. Pam only wished she could have done half the things Sekhmet had. "Please tell me you have come to do someone some ill will and Eric said I could at least watch."

Old indeed, too old for most, actually, but friend, most definitely. Pam happened to be one of the only female vampires that Sue took a curiousity to. The woman was quite humorous and overall much more than most other females. "Oh nothing serious. I am merely enjoying my company. Being surrounded by vampires is not all that typical these days and it is good to simply have a few near me," she complied. There was no real reason why she was out for the night other than that she was bored with her own home.
"Ill will?" Sue asked. Ill will was reserved for only the worst of offenders to Sekhmet. Honestly, unless she intended 'ill will' the victim would have a quick and speedy death. "Oh dear Pam, I have no ill will here, not for the moment, at least. Have you someone you wish ill will upon?" she asked, hoping that there would actually be a reason to bring out this so called 'ill will' upon another. Traitors and inferiors were always the most fun to torture and bring pain to, but not amongst others. If anyone watched, it would only be Pam and Eric, no one else.

Pam grinned at Sekhmet. Egypt had been an adventure for her and Eric and if it hadn't been for Sekhmet they would have never made it out alive....ah, the lovely memories. "No unfortunately since the great reveal things are a little less interesting. I can't complain about the money though." Sekhmet as always looked good enough to eat, not literally though that would just be weird. "I will say this though, our dear friends from the fellowship seem to be trying to stir up something in Texas. How ever you know Eric, if its not waving a pitch fork or flaming torch he seems to be rather unmotivated." Having Sekhmet around made Pam feel mischievous. For the first time in her life she wanted to go to Bon Temps. "Tell me have you ever heard of a lovely little place up north called Merlottes?"

Money had always been so important these days, which Sue could not blame anyone since it took so long to make money worth that much. Times were getting rough and money had to be squeezed out of every pore, but then again, collecting money for thousands of years did pay off, especially since gold was much more abundant in Egypt around those foolish Pharaohs. "Oh money, such a horrible enemy," Sue spat. She had plenty, but it still bored her at times.
"Even if there is a mob outside with pitchforks and torches, I can just see Eric laughing. They'll have to work harder than fire and pitchforks." However, the Fellowship was growing and getting to a ridiculously pesty level. Dallas had crossed her mind in that aspect, apparently there was trouble there that needed to be tended to but why Pam was involved, she had no idea. "I've been to Merlotte's once, have a date there?" she asked, raising a mischievious eyebrow.

"Mmmm, a date of sorts, Eric is very interested in her and will not let it die out like so many other things. She is Bill's but no one really cares about that. She is strong and willful for a human...very entertaining. Bill would hate it if you spoke with her...this could make death a little more fun for you. Sookie is what you could call gifted." Pam looked off with a smile on her face. "We could have, oh what is the phrase? Oh yes, a girls night! Eric would be very jealous..." Pam felt like racing to Merlottes now. How delicious would that be. There weren't very many opportunities when Pam could get the best of her maker, so she better make this a good one. She and Sekhmet could make a weekend of it. There were plenty of places to stay and she could always impose on Bill. Power didn't often give her many advantages to take but she would very much do so for a weekend with Sookie.

"A girls' night?" she asked, a smirk darting across her face. It seemed that Eric had a certain fondness for this gifted girl. Still, it was not a good idea to cross Eric, even if Sue was older and stronger, it was much wiser to leave his own rulings up to his area, she could not break his laws. "I am sure Eric will not be so upset as long as we take a few pictures of our adventures," she joked, making a small laugh. Only a few vampires had ever heard her laugh. "What do you have in mind for our girls' night? I cannot upset your Sheriff."
Anything that happened while in Bon Temps that Eric did not agree with, Sue would pay severely and she would have to follow through with that payment, this was not something she could simply duck out of any punishment. Within their boundaries, Sue would have fun for the night. Now, in her own territory, that was a different matter.

"Nothing like what you are used to our "girls night" being. If we did half those things to Sookie you would not be the only one paying dearly. I have sworn to look after her if he can not. She is helping us with certain tasks that involve humans. Things one can not use a glamor for." Pam didn't want to divulge any more details because it was not her story to tell. However if Sekhmet really wanted to know she would. Sekhmet was one of the few that Pam would tell everything to. "Eric would like us to take lots of pictures...you are very smart Sekhmet. I must commend you because I would never have thought of that. Who knows I might even get a raise if the photos are good!" She remembered some of the nights she spent in Egypt. It made her wish for another visit. "Enough of this prattle, we should leave tomorrow. Not only for that but to also celebrate. I haven't seen you since your promotion to sheriff. How are things in your territory?"

"So you are saying she would join our night instead of paying the price of it?" she asked, attempting to find Sookie's place in the vampire world. "Understood, I shall not harm a hair on her head, nor let anyone breathe in her general direction without first taking a breath mint," she sort of joked, tickling her lips with a smile. Glamor was one of her favorite things to do to a human, too bad it would not work in this situation. Refraining from cracking an innuendo, she simply nodded. "Yes, some sort of raise would be in order," she said. What? She couldn't help the joke, even if it was a bit inappropriate according to humans.
"Tomorrow would be best, I'd hate to rush tonight," she agreed. Slow was always the best way to handle things, after all, Sue had all the time in the world, all the time in the world. "My territory is fine, we had a slight problem with overexcited witches a few months ago, but all is well now. They have been...taken care of."

"Sekhmet, you dirty tease...I can not wait til we travel together to Bon Temps. Sookie will be thrilled. She is a lover of vampires but not like the whiny fang bangers that you see around here. She has a delicious wit about her. Sookie is quite clever for a human. Her brother looks even more delicious..." Pam trailed off after she registered Sekhmet's dealings with some witches. Pam snarled in disgust. "Filthy witches, can't stand them. They are even worse than the shifters if that is possible." Pam shuddered. Fortunately for her Were's and shifters felt a mutual distaste for vampires as well. "I hope they begged for mercy. That was always the best part for me. 'Please let me go, I beg of you. I promise I will leave you and yours be, blah blah blah.' I swear it was always worth to see their faces in the end when they thought you were leaving only to turn around and rip out the jugular." Pam had been using her hands to demonstrate her thinking and had accidentally grabbed a human in all of the excitement of times long past and held him by the throat his legs dangling. Apparently she had gotten lucky because from the looks of things he was happy she was practically choking him to death. "Whoopsie, my mistake. Here sweetling run along and find another vampire to drool over." Pam patted him on the head and kissed his cheek for good measure. The audience that had gathered around them squealed with a mixture of envy and pleasure. Pam winked at Sekhmet. "What can I say, violence always does it for me!"
