It was an average night, an average boring unfulfilling night. When you have thousands of years under your belt, each night becomes less and less intriguing. This night included a drive to somewhere other than Shreveport, she needed to get away for just a little bit. However, the place that was on her mind happened to be a simple bar that she heard vampires were, well, sort of welcome: Merlottes. Never in a thousand years would she be interested in living in such a small town as Bon Temps, but a visit every now and then helped her relax.
Since it was a particularly dark night, cloudy, so no moon shone, she parked her porshe out of the way from most cars, sheltered by the shadow of the trees, as if they could make it anymore dark than it already was. After locking her car, she made her way up to the bar. Her attire was fairly casual for the night, a golden low cut shirt and a pair of jeans, she despised jeans, but the bars loved them. The air in the bar suddenly froze and called out every warning sign as people felt her presence. Well, it certainly was not a welcoming party, but at least they weren’t breaking down their wooden chairs and throwing them at the lady in gold.
She took a seat and looked around at everyone, who turned their attention once she found them in the crowd. Too bad humans did not revere vampires like they should, it seemed such a pity for this race to be judged so frequently. When her server approached, Sue looked up and nodded her head. “I will start with one bottle of O positive True Blood,” she said, omitting a please like most humans would add. After a moment of contemplation, she added a “please,” no need to be rude, she did not know these people and it was not a good idea to give them a bad impression of her.

This night was starting to make Sookie feel a bit on the bored side. It seemed the same old people were here, Andy; drunk as usual. Arlene; on her night off decided to come in to see what local gossip she could stir up. Terry and Lafayette back cooking and singing some song, which pleased Sookie to hear Lafayette's voice sounding more like him again, after the terrible time he had with Eric and Pam. Which that she wouldnt speak of or think of unless he wanted to start the conversation. Hoyt was in the bar, looking a bit on the sad side. It seemed that his new love intrest and so called 'daughter' of Bill, Jessica, was unable to come play. Bill sure seemed to keep her on a tight leash, especially after Sookie's little outing with her and Jessica's parents. Sam was in his office doing something rather important since he was not in his usual Sam friendly mood, probably taxes. And Bill, her lover, was with Jessica he supposed, teaching her right from wrong. At least right from wrong in his book. So, the bar was it's usual self. Gossip, drinking and more gossip.
Sookie was standing at the bar filling up salt shakers so she could get out on time this evening, and maybe spend some 'quality time' with her boyfriend. Tara was absent this night, which might have been half the reason for the boringness of the night. No Tara to yell at drunken Andy or hell, any of the local drunks. As she was filling the shakers, her mind drifted, which opened it up to the minds in the bar. I wonder what Arlene does when she is not at the bar, she is always here. God, Id love to have her One thought she heard that she quickly pushed out, not wanting to know who it belonged too. By lord in the heavens, that isn't a vampire is it? Then another voice rushed in at the same time Leave it to Sookie to be sure to turn Merlotte's into a vampire hangout. Then many voices flooded in at once. She could barley distinguish them all, as when people get in panic they tend to emote quite loudly. Words that showed most in her thoughts All Sookie's fault. Another vampire. d**n she is pretty, Id love to have her for a night. True Blood, the devils juice.
So at that quick rush, Sookie turned around. Knowing that a vampire was there. But who was it? As she turned, she saw a lovely woman with dark hair and an aura of knowing. But Sookie knew vampires, and they all felt they knew everything. She wasn't afraid of them, not in the least. More welcoming than anything, unless they were there to kill her. Which has happened on occasion. With a smile only Sookie could do, she walked over to the new server Sam had hired, who was thinking some nervous thoughts and said "Ill take that for ya honey. You just finish up my salt fillings. Ill leave you the tip." She spoke this because she knew the girl was nervous and Sookie, a friend to vampires, wanted to know who this was. Grabbing the bottle of True Blood, Sookie walked to the table with what seemed like a spotlight shining on it, with the vampire.
"Here ya go. True Blood, 98.6 degrees." She said with a smile and placed it at the table. "Im Sookie. Sookie Stackhouse. Welcome to Merlotte's" She said being a chipper as she could, it was natural really. Being she couldn't read vampires, she just went with it. She leaned down so only the vampire could hear her "Don't worry. They may appear to judge you, but I bring my boyfriend here all the time"

More and more people stared at her, annoying the vampire to her extent. People can't seriously be this shallow and judgemental could they? Wait, they were human, that was the extent of their purpose on this Earth. However, this woman who suddenly appeared with a perfect temperature True Blood did not seem like the rest, for one, she was smiling. For another, she had actually introduced herself. So this was the Sookie Stackhouse? This girl's name was passed around the vampire culture for quite some time, but never did Sue dream that she would be just a common barmaid. Curious.
"Miss Stackhouse? I have heard your name before, but it is always carried under someone's breath, as if your identity is so precious that even the vampire population protects you. Seeing that you are dating a vampire, that only seems correct," Sue nodded slowly, her eyes darted from Sookie to her drink and back to Sookie. Not an average woman at all. For moments, Sue had forgotten her manners, she could not take a name without replacing it with one of her own. Lucky for her, the vampires did not know that much about the thousands of years old vampire Egyptian, or at least they did, but they kept her name guarded just as Sookie's name seemed to be.
"You may call me Sue Mett," she raised an eyebrow, only to indicate that she would not repeat her name in the future, so it best be mentally scribbled down or lost forever. The name just seemed so boring, but to use the name Sekhmet was to raise too many questions that she grew tired of answering. Humans were a curious race, and curiousity killed the cat. "If they do not accept me, that is no concern of mine. We vampires have come out to the public, for anyone who wishes to shun and judge us, let them do so, they have no idea what traps they place themselves in," she scowled, yet kept in mind not to scowl at her waitress, just at all of those who looked at her strangely. And they called her a brute?

Sookie listened to the vampire speak. She could not help but be mesmerized. She carried herself so well. If only she could hear in her head. But if that were a fact, she would be dead. "Why! You have heard of lil ol me!" Sookie smiled, hiding the fact that it made her feel a little uncomfortable. Her name, traveling around the vampire mill. Of course, she was dating Bill. But she also had a special power. One she let the Sheriff of Area Nine use in return for certain things. If this got around like news did in Bon Temps when a man cheats on his wife, then she was practically a dead woman. "Yes, I am with Bill. Bill Compton. Do you know him? Are yall old friends?" She asked, making casual small talk.
The bar was starting to calm down alittle, as the vampire was not going to kill anyone. At least this is just what she was hearing from their heads. Leave it up to Sookie to make friends with dead people One voice said. Sookie wanted to turn around and kick whoever that was, but chose to ignore it. But the general tone was calmer. "Why Sue. Nice to meetcha. Thats a very" she paused looking for the right word. Her calendar of the day hadn't given her one this year. "nice name. But you look like you are from somewhere else? Not here?" Sometimes her mouth just spoke and she said whatever she thought.
It seemed that Sue was not caring what anyone around her thought. Sookie figured it was because she was vampire and the rest in the bar were her lunch. Or dinner. "Ah, down mind them. They all know yall come here alot considering my company. They just like to gossip and fear anything not from Bon Temps" Sookie said as she smiled and gave a little giggle. "So, what brings ya here to Bon Temps tonight. Aint much happening here." She asked as she looked over to see if her food for table 6 was ready yet. But heard Lafayette and Terry singing, still.

"Bill Compton?" she asked in a calm voice, searching her mind for anyone that resembled that name. While her memory was quite good, it was hard to decipher names from the current population and those from hundreds to thousands of years ago. Yet if Sookie was dating this vampire, he must be in her current memory. "Oh yes, dear Bill. I have met him once, I believe, seen him around Shreveport often with you it seems, but I never had a name to your face," she paused, drinking some of her True Blood, the most precious invention ever.
"Hardly any vampire is actually from where they live, most did not even live in the country they reside in. No, my origins date back to Egypt, but that conversation should be saved for a date that I feel in the historic mood," she said, wiping the blood from her lips. A few people were history nuts and she became quite annoyed with all of the questions they would ask about the Kingdoms in Egypt, quite a bore for a local Egyptian.
"Nothing is happening in Shreveport either, or anywhere else for that matter, of course, to the extent of my knowledge," she added, slightly annoyed with the statement. Her knowledge was far greater than most's, only because of her age, but when exciting occurences happened and she was not invited, it was personally insulting. "Not everywhere needs a reason for a visitation. I was merely in the Bon Temps mood."

ooc: since no one has yelled I will take that as a yes it is open
Jason walked in with a couple of buddies into Merlotte's ready for a little liquid relaxation. He noticed the regulars and was on his way to his regular seat when he saw his sister speaking to a good looking woman. He could tell that his sister was wearing her uncomfortable smile and for one of the first times in a long while he felt the need to protect her.
"Hey Sook, is everything going alright?" Jason looked quizzically at the woman and back at his sister. He'd be d**ned if some out sider was trying to hurt his only family.

Suddenly, her conversation with the barmaid shifted and she turned to see a very good looking human. She hadn't seen this one, but she could smell plenty of women on his skin, quite the player. It seemed these two knew each other, perhaps good friends? Ex lovers? Siblings? Whatever it was, Sekhmet did not really press on the thought for too long and rather she turned her attention to the delightful human. She never knew desert was on it's way, she was not even finished with her current bottle of True Blood.
"Well I cannot speak for Miss Stackhouse, but I do believe things are going just fine at this table," she smiled, tilting her head some to indicate that she enjoyed the company of a good looking man. "If you don't believe me, take a seat and observe," she said, indicating an open chair.

"You know I think I just might. Hey Sook, would you bring me beer?" He slid into the booth and looked at the woman sitting across from him. Jason noticed right away that she was extrodinarily beautiful and there was something mysterious about her. As he leaned back against the booth he then only noticed her half empty bottle of True Blood. He rolled his eyes and thought "Well, shxt..."
"So, what's your story miss? I don't believe that you are exactly from these parts." He noticed that his buddies were looking over at him and giving him the thumbs up. They hadn't realized that she was a vampire either. "Where are my manners, my name is Jason Stackhouse, what is yours?" He remembered that Sookie had said vampires didn't shake hands so he gave the vamp his signature lopsided grin.

The change in his facial expression when he noticed that she was a vampire would have made Sekhmet sigh in agitation if she could breathe. Humans were always either really uptight about vampires or completely obsessed with them. Rarely had she ever run into someone who just walked by a vampire as if they were simply another member of society unless it was another vampire. It was silly, but she got used to it after a while. "No, I'm not from these parts," she said, thinking on whether she would even explain where she was from or not. Saying that she was Egyptian was not as bad as saying that she was a sheriff.
So she was right, they were siblings. It would not be as drama-oriented as an ex but it would be a different sort of protection and she could tell that Jason's shields were already up. Too bad. "I am from Egypt," she said, not specifying what era of Egypt she had originated from. "You may call me Sue," she nodded, returning the greeting smile with one of her own, although it was more of a smirk. It seemed like the blood had given him a different outlook on her, what a pity, he was so delicious. Still, she refrained from drinking from it to show respect to his uncomfortable attitude towards a vampire, even if this respect would not last for too long.

Jason whistled. "Egypt? No shxt...I ain't never met anyone from there...not that I would this is Bon Temps and nothing like you ever walks in here."
He looked at her and inspected every inch of her face...it was breath takin'. Jason had seen several female vampires and they were both equally gorgeous but this one was well, he couldn't even begin to describe this one.
"Man, I am not trying to be rude by bein' forward or nothing but has anyone told you lately that you are beautiful?" As soon as the words left his mouth he felt a blush come up his face. He hoped he hadn't over stepped the line with this one.
