Shane walked into his favorite place on earth. Into Fangtasia. It was not a place someone would think would be a favored spot. But for him it was. Ever since he was little, he believed in things that were not from this world. Things from fairy tales and scary movies. So, when the Vampires had their Great Revolution, he almost cried. What he always knew came true. There were creatures of the night. And he wanted so badly to be something like that. With power, who people feared and wanted to be at the same time.
Taking at seat in one of the booths closest to the dance floor, Shane ordered himself a drink. Wishing secretly it would have been a bottle of True Blood. He wondered who tonight would want to be in his presence. Who wanted to be with him. There were some new vampires in Fangtasia he had never seen this evening. Talking with the King of Fangtasia, Eric, with his flowing blonde hair and arrogant looks and his second in command, dressed in black latex, Pam. He knew them, but not like friends, only as those who took his money and let him stay in his bar. But tonight, he felt it in the air. It might just be the night he would become one of those people who actually get in a relationship with vampires. Who are not just food. Waiting on his drink, Shane stared off into the crowd, wondering if anyone would want his presence.

Bars were not exactly the best place on earth to the entirely too old vampiress. Never-the-less, it would be nice to be around Eric and Pam, who she greatly respected and whom respected her, it was just a night for relaxing. Shreveport had been thrilling back a few years ago, but then again, so had Rome, and so had American colonies, and India and all of those places until she had stayed there for too long. Being a vampire made it more acceptable to become nomadic as people became less and less intruiged by her presence as their generations continued and she just stood at the top of the hill for centuries.
Yet the night was young, there were some ignorant humans at the bar and she was curious to get to know some of her own kind other than Eric and Pam. Finally, she put on her dress, gold of course, and made her way to Fantasia in her porshe. When she pulled up, Pam was checking IDs, but when Sue walked up, Pam immediately moved to the side for her to enter. Of course Sue was welcome, especially when Pam was at the door. Walking inside, she took a seat at the bar before rethinking this move. There was nothing she could have other than True Blood, it was best she got to know some of her own kind and maybe glamor a few humans for fun, it had been long enough after all.
Silently and gracefully, she weaved through the dance crowd until she spotted someone alone, a male, a particularly entralled male. It was a rare aproach of her's, but it was best to be just a little bit unpredictable, just every once in a while. With vampiric speed, she suddenly appeared at Shane's table and took a seat, smiling with her fangs out only because she was excited just to get out of her place. And he smelled good.
"Hello," she raised an eyebrow, looking into his eyes. It was best that she did not glamor him, not just yet, some humans just threw their information at her willingly, who was to say this man needed to be glamored? Sekhmet preferred to save that for the tough cases. "Enjoying Fangtasia?" No name, not yet, she would introduce herself if she found him worthy enough to have her name/.

The mood of the bar was the same as usual, that of a calm vampire and nervous excited humans. Not that he was a mood reader, he just knew what people felt in here because he was here so often. Lost in a stare, Shane was suddenly shocked as a beautiful creature appeared in front of his face. This was a vampire he had yet to see or meet. One he was sad that he had never seen before, but at the same time he was enthralled at the fact that she came to him. That she sat down at his table. How she got there so quick was the magic of vampires, their speed. Beautiful.
Gulping down the real thoughts on his tongue. Shane spoke as confidently as he could. "Hello back." Wow, stupid, what a thing to say. "I am enjoying Fangtasia more than usual now." He said, trying to recover from the middle school hello back. "It is a pleasure, a great pleasure to see you." He said, trying to be smooth, but it sounded rather silly. He was nervous, as usual. One couldn't sweep a vampire off her feet, as she wore the pants so to speak. It was either a click or not. "How about yourself? Is Fangtasia providing you with the fun you so desire?"

He was nervous, Sue could hear his heart beat increase. It was not that he was afraid, it was that he was respectful, very respectful, a trait few humans had these days. His words seemed to have been chosen from an era she was unfamiliar with, but it did not bother her, much. As he attempted to calm himself, his vocabulary increased and he seemed to mimic her reformed sentence structure. Peculiar, but amusing, never the less. "To see me? Yes, your heartbeat informs me of this," she spoke softly, but in the traditional cool vampiric voice.
"Fun?" she asked, raising her left eyebrow. It was a term she was not used to using too often, it was rather over-exaggerated. To have fun was to experience something deep within that causes a chuckle, a smile, not a smirk. "I cannot say that this is fun, but it is more appealing than a lonely night," she settled. It was obvious that the man in front of her was having fun, she did not wish to ruin his fun and make him frown, but it was a fact and she did not lie...too often.
"And yourself? Have you been enjoying yourself at this bar?" she asked, fully knowing the answer. Still, it was conversation, although vampires hated making too much conversation, in order to keep herself modern, she had to speak with humans of modern days and figure out their lingo and such and such. Fairly boring but it was better than watching television all day long.

Shane's heart beat had to be racing more than now. How did he not remember they feel life? And his life, all of it, was flowing through him. He smiled at her comment as he placed his hand over his heart beat, trying to hear and feel what she felt. Feeling like a teenager with a crush, Shane was almost lost for words. "I just can't help but have my heart beating when faced with such beauty!" He stated, trying to follow her calm tone while keeping his teenagerish feelings out of his way.
He listened as she spoke of the word fun. Of course it would mean worlds difference to her, a vampire, than it did to him, a human living for only 24 years or so. "Well, being here will keep any lonely night from occurring. He listened to her question, trying hard to focus on the words and not the situation in front of him. A beautiful creature of the night speaking with him as if they were friends. Vampires usually hated conversation, it was like a test to see if you could keep their attention. "As you can tell, I am enjoying myself tonight. Having fun" he paused at that word "Being stimulated by watching the antics of the bar. Guessing who is a tourist, who is real, who is not. It's as you say, much better than a lonely night." His heart fluttered a bit with his overconfident self thinking he scored from this or something.
As they sat there, he had a bunch of things go through his mind to ask. But he chose carefully. It was like having a butterfly sit on their hand and trying not to move to keep it there. "Would you like me to order you a drink?" He asked waving to the waitress dressed in tight short black shorts and a Fangtasia t-shirt to come over their way when she could. "So, tell me about yourself...if you dont mind. You are the definition of intriguing." He said, all calm and cool.

Hmmm. Slowly, she placed her finger on her neck, gently caressing the place where she was bitten thousands of years ago. The thought still struck something up in her blood and gave her a momentary rush. "Dear boy, lines such as that may work on the newborns, but you will hardly get a reaction from me other than amusement," she nodded. It was true, he was amusing her. So many men had said so many things to her, but most were too cocky of themselves. On the other hand, this one knew exactly what sat in front of him, and it most certainly felt good to see some respect.
The stimulation statement floated through Sue's cold thoughts and rested in the 'do not reply' category. Without even looking around the room, she knew who was respectful and who was just greedy, the true beings from the fictional characters. It certainly painted the world all sorts of different colors, but many of those colors were not needed. Well, at least this one was loyal. "A drink?" she asked, informing the man in front of her that she would answer her own question with a smirk, "Ah yes, you mean the substitute? That synthetic bottle?"
Nothing compared to the real taste of blood. A bottle, a few chemicals and a microwave were not enough to satisfy the old vampiress, yet, when in Rome. "Sure, I suppose I will take a bottle of O positive," she sort of huffed. True Blood was the root beer to a good lager, it was the cup of noodles of an extravagant Italian meal, but it would do.

Shane was just awestruck. She sat there and stroked his neck. This one movement made his mind race. Was she giving some signal, was she wanting him to bite her? Was she wanting to bite him? Was she thinking of being bitten? It all excited him to the highest extent. She was talking to him, having a real conversation. Well maybe not exactly real but just sitting a spell, as those of the south would say. It made him feel like the coolest dude in the land. But, he tried to keep his childish excitement low key, though she could probably tell, considering vampires sniffed out life.
"I mean no disrespect." He said to her comment about lines working on newborns. "I only want to flatter you to what you deserve!" He stated as he fidgeted a bit in his seat. The waitress was heading over to his table as per his wave for service. "Can we get a bottle of O Positive and a Killians for me" He told her, with a smile. She took the order and headed over to the bar to fill the request. "So, are you not a fan of the True Blood? Is it too mainsteam?" He asked nervously as it was kind of personal. He was just curious, was she a mainstreamer? Did she hate the Great Revolution of the Vampires?

Of course this young man did not mean any disrespect, she could read it in his face: pure excitement. It most certainly was a switch from the old days. Back in the day, it used to be so hard to get someone to even compliment her without gulping down in fear (glamor-free of course) and here she was being adorned for being exactly what she was, a vampire. Well, of course, she was being hunted for her vampiric blood as well, but that served no purpose at this moment. “Save your flattery, your expressions are satisfying enough for one night,” she said, analyzing every piece of him for future reference, if she ever needed it, that is.
Killians was an unfamiliar term, but alcoholic beverages outnumbered synthetic blood choices by a long shot, so it was no surprise that she had heard of this beer. He had, however, ordered her a favorite of her’s, which was refreshing. Mainstream? No, this was another phase of life, a fairly prolonged life to be exact and it did not seem like it would be ending too soon. There were the days were she was viewed as an Egyptian goddess for her power, days when she was viewed as a witch, as a zombie, as a dream, a nightmare, a curse, a creature of the night, a demon; one person had dared call her an angel when she landed from flight before him (this was before she drained him of all of his blood). “Fake Blood is temporary enough, but desert every once-in-a-while is inviting,” she replied.
The waitress brought out the beer and blood, quite an interesting mixture of drinks, honestly. Sue grabbed a hold of the hot bottle and held it to her lips before drinking some. The blood left traces on her lips, plumping them even more full with color as the rest slid down her throat. It was like fast food, only good for a while, but she would crave a steak dinner every fortnight or so. Examining the bottle, she confirmed her thoughts, it was beer.
