The sun had just gone down and Sookie worked the morning shift a Merlotte's. All for the fact that she needed to have some Bill time. It had been too long. They usually spent every waking hour together, at least every waking hour of Bill's. But this night, she just wanted to see her first and only boyfriend.
After a nice warm shower, Sookie went into her room to get dressed. What would she wear? Did she want to dress up and suprise him, or just dress down and spend some nice time with him? That was the question of the hour. The decision, a pair of jeans and a while tanktop, with her hair down. Having it up in a ponytail all day at work made a girl want to just let her hair flow down. Bill would be here soon, hopefully. Should she give him a call? He should remember the date, he had better. Not worrying, Sookie walked outside to her porch and sat on the front steps. Heck, if he did not show, she would just walk over there, in the dark, alone. That would teach him.

Bill ran across the cemetery from his home to Sookie’s. They had a date tonight. It was the first time in a while, but Bill couldn’t be more excited.
As he approached he could sense that Sookie felt distant from him lately and that was the last thing he wanted. He stopped feet from the porch and saw his beautiful Sookie. He ran up the stairs (well, ran in the sense of human running, which was like crawling for a vampire) and he kissed her passionately. He only uttered one single word, but in it was every emotion he was feeling in his heart. “Sookie.”

Sookie was lost in thought when, what seemed like out of thin air, Bill arrived. And he sure did announce his presence in the best way. As he kissed her, she kissed back, trying to keep up. It seemed he had alot to say with this one kiss and by god Sookie was thankful. His one word, Sookie, sounded as if it was the one word to keep the world from ending. He said it with passion. Sookie placed her arms around his neck and placed her face on his chest for a tender hug then laughed.
"Well, hello to you too Bill!" She smiled up at him, feeling his cold body which relieved her of some heat pains she was feeling. "You remembered!" She reached and hugged him again. "I was wondering if you would remember. You have been so busy lately." There was a hint of being disgruntled, but she masked it well.

Bill looked to Sookie. “You know when I promise something to you I mean it.” He smiled. “It’s true, but I’m here now Sookie.” Bill said smiling. He didn’t know what they were doing tonight but he knew he was just happy to be spending time with Sookie again. He looked into her eyes. He had been doing that a lot lately, just staring into her eyes deeply. It was amazing; it was as if there was so much in there, that it was virtually impossible to discern one emotion from another. It was as if they all lived harmoniously as one.
Bill caught himself staring for too long. He rested his arm on Sookie’s shoulder as he said “And what did you have planned for our evening together?” He said as he looked at her smiling with his eyes. It was amazing how much emotion Sookie brought out in Bill. He was always more human than most vampires, but Sookie brought things out in him that he thought he lost forever.

Sookie just looked up at Bill and listened. She loved his smooth accent, the way he was always so calm. Except for his reaction during the little bombing from the FotS in Dalls. That was quite a scene, and alot happened. Which was something she wanted to talk about tonight, but maybe not. "I know, but sometimes promises can be broken. Its just human nature. But time is what we need to spend together." She took her arms from around him and walked up the pourch, motioning for him to follow.
"What did I have planned?" She said, mocking him. "Oh well, alittle of this and alittle of that!" And she gave him a wink as she walked into the door. "You want a bottle of True Blood?" She asked as she walked in the door. Bill was free to walk in whenever as she had given him invitation awhile ago.

Bill laughed at the words "Human Nature". He wasn't human, he knew that. But the truth is, he felt more connected now with his so called "human nature" than he had since he was turned. He watched Sookie walk inside and quickly followed. “I would love one, Thank you.” He said with serenity. He looked around Sookie’s home. It hadn’t changed at all since her grandmother had died. It reminded him how important family was to a human, so important sometimes it follows you into death. He tried to stop thinking about the family he lost, if for nothing but Sookie’s sake. He caught up behind Sookie and put his arms around her waist smiling.

Sookie opened the fridge and got out a bottle of true blood. She had done this so many times that it was just like serving at Merlotte's. Warm it to body temperature in the microwave for 43 seconds, she had it down pat. "Ya know Bill, we gotta talk!" She said, as 13 seconds remained. She did not want to have to speak it aloud, but she needed to get it off her chest. After all, Bill was her lover. "When I took Eric's blood, what does it mean? Is he gonna come whenever Im in danger? Is he gonna feel me like you?" She asked, knowing it was hard but it needed to come out. Bill might get angry, hell, he was, but Bill never really yelled. It was always this calmness to his tone and it angered Sookie sometimes. The blood was warm, she took it out, handed it to Bill and sat down at the table.
