"There's a crack in the mirror and a bloodstain on the bed - There's a crack in the mirror and a bloodstain on the bed - O you were a vampire and baby I'm the walking dead O you were a vampire and baby I'm the walking dead" Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) -Concrete Blonde
As the night in Fangtasia wore on, the vampires and their humans began to dance after they had their vodka and Tru Bloods. Anouk sat on the side, watching a few vampires glamour their partners where some eagerly eyed the human's necks, waiting till they could leave and feed. Anouk, however, didn't have a human, yet though. Hearing the dark music creep through the crowd, she sipped on a Tru Blood, A negative as always, and watch the young night grow old.
As she sat there, she noticed a few with multiple bite marks, probably Blood Dolls of the sort or your average fangbanger. Anouk almost scoffed at the notion one could become addicted to having sex with a vampire, but it was somewhat understandable. Vampires have heightened senses, they've lived a long time and have probably had a lot of practice in the ehem...business of that. It was mysterious, sensual and powerful, to be with a vampire, that's what she imagined.

Shane was sitting, again, beside the dance floor, watching. He always watched. If anyone was a mystery reader they might have thought that he was a secret agent there watching to see the ways of the vampires. Or if they liked science fiction, they might think he was an alien watching to learn how people and vampires alike worked. But, if they knew him, they would know that he was there because he was a fan of fantasy and the reality of fantasy lived within these walls.
The vampires were at their peak now, the night was young in their eyes. To the humans, it was hard to stay awake, unless you were a fangbanger. There was such a negative connotation to fangbanging, but it was not the dirtyness everyone thought. As he was lost in thought, he caught the face of a vampire whom he had never seen in here before. Being that he was a little drunk, his people skills were working well. So he decided, why not. Walking over to the vampire female, he decided to take the southern gentlemen approach tonight. "Good evening to you Miss. Im Shane. Its a pleasure" He held out his hand for her to take, which a sweet southern kiss would be the way to go instead of your standard handshake.

Oh, a human. Anouk looked him over quickly, a fangbanger? She noticed some bite marks along his neck, but ignored them. He was rather cute, a little tispy maybe. Anouk could use a cocktail later. She extended her hand for him to kiss, soft lips pressed against her equally soft yet icy cold skin. He was quitre a gentleman, he didn't simply go up to her, groveling or agressive and grabbed her. Shane was...gentle, an unlikely candidate for a fangbanger. "So, what is a young, pretty boy like yourself doing at Fangtasia?" Anouk smiled at him as the words poured from her lips, taking another long sip from her Tru Blood. "I'm Anouk. Whats your name?"

Shane watched this beautiful creature place her hand out, in the manner for a kiss not a shake. He bent down and softly kissed her clod skin, staying there a few seconds to leave an impression. He finished the kiss and softly let go of her hand. She seemed to not be your average vampire, but that assumption for be a bit pre mature as they have just met. Shane always tended to get these big imaginations as to how these vampires he meets are, when they turn out to be just what society says. But not always.
He listened to her speak, he accent was a bit different than that of your Louisanna citizen, given her number of decades in this world. "Why else would I be here tonight?" he replied to her question of a pretty young thing like him being here. "To meet a beautiful soft, cold, creature like yourself!" He spit his game and hoped it would work. He had a few drinks tonight and his social skills were a bit more loud. "Anouk, that is a different name. But an equally beautiful one to match. I'm simply Shane." He said, in his mind thinking how bland and boring his name was. Hell, it was bland and boring because he was human.

A smile spread across Anouk's face. Shane, eh? So simple and clean. He was cute, so excited about meeting her. Feeling his warm lips part with her cold hand, she retracted it, before picking up her bottle of True Blood and taking a swig. Her eyes motioned towards the seat next to her, "Shane." Anouk pondered on her words for a moment, before tilting her head and speaking. "Please, sit with me." Anouk waved her hand over the seat for him to sit down upon, before placing it in her lap. Her poise was perfected after centuries of practice, she remembered fondly of how clumsy she was as a human, and this one seemed a bit on edge. Was it her aura of sophistication, or the fact her heart wasn't beating? Anouk wouldn't know, but she'd spend some time playing with the little breather. "Are you a regular here? I'm quite new to Northern Louisiana, well, this century at least." She let out a small laugh, exposing a tiny fraction of her age to the boy as she spoke. Anouk's eyes drifted over his countenance, then his frame, seeing his pale skin; It must have been and indication he stayed out during the night hours, probably to try and woo a vampire. He was quite the interesting charmer, but the night would wear on and she would really find out. (Hey, I noticed you introduced yourself when you first posted, then I asked your name, like an idiot. Sorry XD)

Shane was rather excited to have met such a cute vampire. It seemed that lately new vamps appeared often. Was it becuase of all this Sookie business? Who was this Sookie anyways? People always talked about her, the vampires sure as hell did all too often. He needed to make a point to meet her and soon. Anouk motioned and asked for him to sit with her and he gladly accepted. "Thank you beautiful!" He said as he sat down in the booth. He could feel her looking at him, he could feel her cold skin. Being the warm blooded human he was, it was nice to be around cole people. Even in the winter.
With his drink in hand, he took a sip and felt it go inside him and begin to take effect. "Yeah, I guess you could call me a regular here. I tend to spend most of my time in this place." He replied with a rather special smile. "So, you are new here? At least in this century?" At that he laughed a bit. That was another reason he liked the vampires, they had special senses of humor. Rather dark and dry. Which he liked. "What brought your lovely self here then?" It was always hit or miss with vampires, either they accepted the conversation or got offended. He rather liked this game.
(LOL, Its alright. No problem.)

Taking her True Blood in hand, she took another drink, before setting it down on the table. Anouk let her body lean on Shane's, her long fingers beginning to play with his hair. Ah, what a cute human this one was, and he was a little flustered around her. Surely her hands on his cheek and had would cause him to go insane around her. He was so intoxicating: the smell of alcohol on his breath, his sweet eyes and adorable demeanor. Shane seemed to love lavishing her with compliments, which Anouk ate up greedily, leaning on his even more, flirting with the breather. Anouk could hear his little heart beat quickly, possibly skipping beats as she came closer to him, a smile spread across her face. "I was tired of the big city, New Orleans. Plus it was a mess after Katrina. I thought Shreveport would be a nice change of pace." The way he spoke wasn't natural to Louisiana, Shane must be from somewhere else. "That accent isn't Louisiana, where are you from?" Her tone was low, sultry and seductive, she felt so flirty around this boy for some reason. Perhaps she was just hungry for something other than True Blood, or maybe it's the way he wooed her with sweet nothings. Either way this boy was getting the best of Anouk, so she just smiled and stared into his big blue eyes.

As Anouk leaned her soft sexy cold body against Shane, he could feel his heart begin to flutter. This vampire was beautiful, she was sultry and personable. She was not like the other female vampires who were just after prey, she seemed to have some depth. And that depth is what made Shane so attracted. He did not think that tonight he was going to meet a vampire that was actually fun. But it must have been his lucky night. Vampires did like to use humans, but from reading the papers Shane knew that sometimes a vampire fell in love with a human and had a relationship. There was that Sookie girl and vampire Bill, but recently, Shane noticed Eric the King of Fangtasia, taking an interest in that Sookie girl.
Shane placed his free hand on Anouk's thigh, as it was right there for him to relax his hand. She felt cold and he loved that. Hopefully she would not kill him for that but she was giving him some signals, he thought. "Katrina was a disaster, a terrible one." Shane replied to her comment of why she was here instead of there. He took another sip of his drink, warming his body and wondering if Anouk could feel his anxiousness and warmth too. She asked him a question. "I wasn't born here, I was born in Seattle, Washington. My father moved us here when I was about 16 years old. It was a big change. The music scene in Seattle was and is amazing and then coming here, it was a culture shock. But Ive acclimated. I used to work with my father at his Real Estate business, but just quit about a week ago. I was sick of it and he was sick of me not being what he wanted." Shane kind of went on a rant, the drink was kicking in and he wanted more. "I work at Vampire's Lair now. That vampire 24 hour store in Sherveport Strip Mall. It's a cool store, you should come buy and get some clothes sometime. I'll give you a nice discount!" Shane said, thinking of her in the little red garter number he had unpacked last night.

As soon as Shane placed his warm hand on her icy thigh, she couldn't help but feel her fangs come out, and without realizing it, she gave him a huge smile. This Shane was a fangbanger, maybe he'd enjoy seeing her fangs. Either way, Anouk kept a sly smile, almost surreptitious in a way, even though she had no bad intentions with the boy. His hand was soft as silk, warm and from that hand she could feel his pulse all the way in his tiny exasperated heart. As he spoke, Anouk listened intently, absorbing what he was saying, about Seattle and the move, his father and Lair. Anouk let out a small laugh when he mentioned Vampire's Lair and a discount, she'd have to check it out. "Seattle, eh? I've never been there, but I hear the coffee's good for those who drink it." She let the rim of the bottle touch her lips again, and when she put her drink down, it left a bright red residue on her lips, which she promptly licked away. "I've heard of the store, but I'm not a big shopper, but I guess I'll have to pop in sometime to see you." Anouk had to resist the urge to glamor this one, but by the way he looked, he was already in a daze with Anouk's eyes. Going on a different topic, Anouk asked a simple, yet deadly question, to start conversation. "Do you often flirt with the undead?"

Shane finished off his drink and called over the waitress to order another round for them both. He figured being gentlemanly would work towards him not against. Afterall, it was his hope to one day become a vampire and he would do whatever it took. But finding a sire whom he actually had feelings for was more than he could have asked. There he went again, looking way too ahead in the future. "Do I always flirt with the undead?" He repeated, adding an aura of mystery to his upcoming response. "Only those whom I cannot keep my eyes off. Only those who I find myself lost in their gaze without the glamoring. Only beautiful ancient vampires like, no not like, only beautiful ancient vampires that are you" He looked at her and gave a small wink. Not a cocky one but a real one, those that cannot be helped when flirting. "Do you always flirt with the countless amounts of fangbangers here at Fangtasia? Not that I in any way shape or form do not enjoy this time we are having. Or do you just flirt with me?" He asked, trying to be all cool but sometimes he sounded like a goof.
The drinks had made their way back to the table. "For you!" he said with a smile as he handed the bottle to her. "Is this type always your favorite?" he asked, hoping to find out her favorite True Blood type so he could keep it in mind.
