He looked at Jessica, seeing her looking at the ground. Maybe she was ashamed of what she did, how she acted... "Well...Isn't that a good thing? Killing him would have felt good at the time...maybe...but it would have got to you eventually. And it would have left the rest your family fatherless... Even if he's a sorry excuse for one. Maybe it's better this way"

Jessica looked back up. "Yeah, I guess it is. It definitely would have felt good but sooner or later, my maker would have found out and probably would've lectured me. I don't like getting lectured." She gave a short laugh. "They would've been better without him. He'd probably do what he did to me to my little sister. But, I would have had to glamor them or something so they forgot what happened."

Kyle wanted to ask about Jessica's sister Jessica seemed to be okay talking about her, but he wanted to get off this sore subject. So...what to talk about now? They were nearing Merlotte's, well, not nearing, probably about half way there or so. "Where is Bill at the moment anyway? I haven't seen him around lately?" Jessica was technically his daughter, so if he wasn't here, teaching her the ropes, where was he?

"I have no idea, actually. Probably with Sookie. He's spent so much time with me, they have to make up for lost time or whatever." She looked up to see the faint glow of the Merlotte's sign not to far away. "They're probably in there." She nodded towards the Merlotte's sign. "Does a witch have better senses then humans do?"

Kyle followed Jessica's gaze to the distant Merlotte's building, nodding along with her. Though her question caught him of guard. He hadn't been expecting the sudden jump of topics, but he didn't mind. He turned away from the glowing sign and back to the teenage vampire. "No, not usually. I think there are spells to enhance our senses temporarily but nothing permantent like yours. Can I ask...what's glamouring like? I mean for you. I've always been curious, ever since I found out you could do it"

"Oh, that's cool." She said then returned his gaze. "Glamoring is...amazing. It's like you are the puppet master and the person you glamored is the puppet. You have this huge influence on the person and it feels so good. You can make them do anything you want and it's just awesome" That was the best she could do by summarizing glamoring.

Wow...he didn't know they could do so much with glamouring. he thought it was sort of like hypnosis and just lulled them into a more comfortable mood so they could feed easily, or that it could be used to erase memories. But he didn't know that they could control people to such a degree. It was...kinda unnerving, someone having that much power over someone...
"Wow...I didn't know that...Does it work on anyone? Or...only certain people?" He couldn't help but asking, hoping that it wouldn't work on his due to the magicks. Would him being tied to such primal forces spare him from the glamouring influence?

Jessica loved having power over certain people, especially those who bothered her. Bill had yet to learn that she could now glamor, thanks to her friend Belle, but this kinda thing Jessica had a feeling Bill probably wouldn't mind, which was definitely a first. "Well, if you're worried about me glamoring you then worry no more because we can't glamor anything that is more than human, at least that's what Bill told me. We could try now if you like." She joked, laughing to show that she didn't mean it.

Kyle gave her a nervous-ish laugh and looked back towards the Merlotte's building, which was becoming bigger and bigger as they neared it. "Maybe some other time..." He said, a little quieter than usual. He like Jessica, though she was real dead on (no pun intended), but he didn't like the idea of being under someone else's power like that. And not even realising it... She said she couldn't glamour anything more than a human...but what about him? He may be a witch but he's still human by origin...

Jessica looked at the fast approaching Merlotte's then back to Kyle. "Alright then." She said with a smile. "So tell me about witches. Do they have any special powers like glamoring or what?" She was curious, naturally, as to whether or not witches in real life were different then the witches in books and movies.

Oh boy, how to explain this one? Well, blunt and to the point sounds good, right? "Well...we can harness and focus the natural energies of the world...magick...and make it do...things. It's kinda like in the books - well some - and the tv shows, but nothing like Sabrina" He said, trying to finish with a bit of a joke.

She laughed at his joke. "So is it a good magick or a bad magick? Do you use potions and stuff? Or just hexes?" She could see the Merlotte's sign practically right in front of them but nevertheless turned back to Kyle to wait for his answer.

"Well..." Kyle started, stopping and facing the vampire girl. "Magick itself is neither blakc nor white. It's both because nature is both. It is what the wielder, the witch, uses it for. And...yes...there can be potions too, though they are a bit more boring than the 'hexing'"

"So it's in between?" Jessica somewhat understood what Kyle was saying. She stopped to face him too and smiled, she was naturally curious. "Potions? Like love potions or what?" She laughed and then turned to walk towards Merlotte's again.

"Yeah, in between" he agreed, happy to not have to explain it anymore. He faced her when she looked over at him. Love potions... "Ah, no. Love can not be manipulated by magic. Love Potions make someone...into a sort of love trance thing, but it's not real love." He explained. Love potions. Kyle hated them, they were just used by those sick and twisted people who wanted slaves, sex objects who would be completely devoted to them due to the potion. It was disgusting.
