Bon Temps. She didn't know, when she left home, that she would enjoy this little town so much. In a short time she had met quite a few people and was overall a happy camper. At least for the moment, her tarot cards were warning her of upcoming obstacles in the near future.
Either way, she had found herself back here. Back at Merlotte's bar with a chipper smile on her face when she strolled through the doors. She was becoming a familiar face, and a couple of regulars had offered her a nod before she went to find an empty seat.
Today, she chose to wear a simple yellow dress that went nice with her complexion. While a Lafayette burger was tempting, she had a weird craving for chicken wings. Casually, her eyes drifted over the crowd to see if there was a waitress available.
'I wonder if Sam or Jason is around, would sure be nice to not to have to eat alone'.

Sookie was busy making sure all the salt was full at her tables. Those Bon Temps people sure loved their salt. Must have been something in the air or the water. So, tonight she was trying her best to keep up with everything. Her tables were taken care of at the moment, their food was served, their beers full. This meant that she should be getting some nice tips tonight. Which was good because she needed to pay her phone bill asap.
As she was thinking this, Sookie looked up to notice someone walk in, and this someone looked a little bit familiar. But she just could not pin the exact place she knew her from at the moment. Walking over to her, "Hi there, Ill be your waitress tonight. Just take a seat wherever you want. Can I get you anything?" She asked with her famous smile.

"Hi there, Ill be your waitress tonight. Just take a seat wherever you want. Can I get you anything?
Oh, wait a moment- she recognized the girl as Sookie Stackhouse right away. Much thanks to meeting her briefly the other day in Pecanland Mall.
'She must not recognize me from the other day. At least I'm not getting yelled at my boss this time, boy do I hate that job..'
But that job paid these bills, and paid for the food she was about to fill her empty tummy with.
"Well, aren't you just a pretty peach, Sookie. You don't remember from the other day? My b!tchy boss was in the background trying to pester me into upselling the fall collection?"
Maybe it was a bad thing Brandy usually spoke exactly what was on her mind. She had her seat now, and reached for a menu in hopes of finding chicken wings.
"Should I bring up Pam again? I don't know exactly what good it would do. Maybe Pam is going to tell Sookie I'm a witch. Maybe Sookie doesn't like witches. Oh wait, Sookie knows Sam! Did Sam tell her? No.. he wouldn't... she doesn't even know me. She probably doesn't even know that I know Sam. I'm really surprised Jason isn't here."
Oh, Chicken wings!
"Louisana-style wings with some fries and a side of ranch dressing would be great Sookie. And then, lets add a rum n' coke on there to wash it all down. Unless somebody knows how to make a pina colada - cause that, would just make my night!"

Sookie looked at the girl again, "Oh yeah, I remember now! Im sorry, its been a long day! Thanks for that too. You were too helpful!" Or night, she should have said. This girl was terribly sweet, having hooked her up with some really good deals. As she took her seat, Sookie followed. The girl's mind was emoting like crazy, she could hear it all. Everything. Should she say something. Was the girl trying to let her know that she know Sookie could read minds? That had happened a few times as of late, as word spread about her powers to the supe world.
Pen in hand, Sookie jotted down the order. Wings and a drink. "Well, I can get Sam to make ya a Pina Colada, he knows everything. Well, knows how to make everything!" She smiled at her little comment. Sookie did know Sam, yes, and knew him well. He hadnt spoken of her just yet, but they had both been real busy as of late. "Ya know, I aint caught your name yet." She asked, since the southern style was to be polite. Seemed this girl knew of Sookie and seemed she wanted to know something of or from her for an odd reason. But she seemed nice and that was all that mattered. At least she wasnt gonna kill Sookie, just yet that it!

"Oh yeah, I remember now! Im sorry, its been a long day! Thanks for that too. You were too helpful!"
The fact of the matter was, Brandy hadn't been fortunate enough to learn why Sookie was the local celebrity. Besides the fact that she had a nice bubbly personality, she didn't even know that her and Jason were siblings!
'Heh.. yeah, boy did I ever have to play the innocent act with that one...'.
Ah, poor Sookie. If anyone was constantly thinking to herself it was Brandy. At least, she felt kind of weird that around Sookie she seemed to be thinking even more. What was up with that?
"Well, I can get Sam to make ya a Pina Colada, he knows everything. Well, knows how to make everything!"
"Sam? Sam is here? Well, I mean of course he is here he owns the place right?"
'Oh she just had to mention Sam didn't she? Am I blushing? I bet I am blushing. She is going to know I like him, d*mn any idiot could probably tell! Brandy, come on, get a grip. He is going to start thinking your some kind of stalker and she is going to think you have some silly school-girl crush!'
She was mentally scolding herself, maybe she was trying to hard. It wasn't like she came here just in the hopes of running into him, it was just that any time she over heard someone mentioning his name that she got all blush-happy and nervous.
"I mean.. yes, of course. That would be nice. Thank you, Sookie"
"Ya know, I aint caught your name yet."
"Oh! Of course, how rude of me. I'm saying your name so casually and you don't even know who the hell I am! My name is BB. It is nice to meet you and now I won't feel like the only idiot in Bon Temps who doesn't know Sookie Stackhouse!"

Sam walked in from the back, after another night of paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. Owning one of the most popular hotspots in town paid well, but filing important documents and taxes and pay cheques could drag on and wonder what the hell it was all for.
He caught her scent immediately and he felt a smile on his face, the first smile for a few hours at least. He scanned the bar to find her and he finally found her. Talking to Sookie. Uh oh, this was awkward. He calmed himself and strode over, smile returning.
"Well hey there." he greeted Brandy warmly, she was renting one of his duplexes in town and she had made it clear she liked him, a whole lot. He liked her too, more than he thought possible for someone new in his life.
((OOC: Brandy, I'll edit this later if need be, depending on what happens next at the duplex.))

Sookie turned as she saw Sam walk up, probably in the back doing some kinda paper work. He was always doing something. Must be hard to keep up with a business, taxes and insurance and all that stuff. "BB, well its nice to know ya name!" She replied with a smile. "And lil ol me, why would everyone know me. Im just a barmaid at Merlotte's and have been for ever!" She said, though really just was just your local barmaid telepath that everyone knew had something special about her but they were not quite sure. With the growing population, word must be getting out. "Howdy Sam. How's things?" She asked as she grabbed the salt box and began filling the empty shakers.

"Well hey there."
She perked up a little, well actually a lot once she saw Sam come out from behind the bar. She had been rambling again and she smiled toward him,
"Hey Sam."
Hey Sam? That was all she could come up with? She chalked it up to subconsciously not wanting to embarrass him or her in front of Sookie.
"BB, well its nice to know ya name!"
Sookie had succeeded in turning her away from scolding herself in her head and Brandy smiled toward her. Sookie seemed to just have a way about her, no wonder why Sam liked her so much.
"And lil ol me, why would everyone know me. Im just a barmaid at Merlotte's and have been for ever!"
"Pam seems to like you Sookie. That means your not just a local barmaid, there is something very special about you. It's alright though if you don't want to tell me, I respect privacy and secrets"
'After all, I am a witch' Brandy thought to herself.

Okay this was more awkward than Sam had realised. There was the girl he thought was the one for him standing right next to the girl he was becoming more and more interested in. The very same girl he stayed over with. Though nothing happened, tongues would still wag in a small town like Bon Temps. He had to play it cool, at least till Sookie was busy with other customers.
"Howdy Sam. How's things?" Sookie asked with a brilliant smile.
"I'm good thanks Sookie. How are you?" he smiled back, not wanting to mention anything about the crick in his neck from sleeping on Brandy's sofa. He'd have to speak to Brandy about how she was settling in. He would wait till he could sit with her or something.

BB was sure a thinker, one who seemed almost nervous to think around Sookie. Did she know? And the next thing that came out of her mouth and then in her head just solidified Sookies thoughts. The girl was a witch. She knew a little something about the ways of the secrets of the world. "Well, Im glad Pam likes me. But I don't know why! I always give her a hard time!" She replied with a smile, thinking about picking on Pam. But then gave BB a look of knowing something, with an eyebrow raised. Now sure wasn't the time to say out loud what she could do, her telepathy, but maybe sometime soon.
Sam's presence always reassured Sookie, he was warm and his thoughts did not always cloud her mind. Its the way of a shifter. "Im good Sam. Ready to make some tips. I see ya know BB here! Yall old friends or something, cause I aint met no one from his past yet!" She said slyly, with a smile. Sam was secretive, but never did it make Sookie doubt him.

Brandy felt like she was in good company, both Sam and Sookie were more than welcoming and they were nice to be around. Sam had asked how Sookie was doing, and then Sookie had directed her attention back to her.
"Well, I'm glad Pam likes me. But I don't know why! I always give her a hard time!"
There was evidence in Sookie's body language that whatever the reason for her being so popular was, she wasn't quite comfortable to spill it to Brandy quite yet. Brandy respected that, and calmly placed her hands on her own lap.
"Pam is.. well, she is an unusual character. But, very intelligent. I hold that woman in high respects, I do. And I wouldn't want to get on her bad side.."
Brandy wouldn't want to be on anybody's bad side, but sometimes it was inevitable. Just by hanging around certain people you can be on somebody's bad side.
Way of the world.
"Im good Sam. Ready to make some tips. I see ya know BB here! Yall old friends or something, cause I aint met no one from his past yet!"
She knew she probably shouldn't of answered for Sam, but she had this habit of just being honest and upfront with people. If he wanted to add anything, he could - she wasn't going to divulge anything personal.
Oh brother.. here it came.. she was rambling before she could even stop it. And she was nervous about it too, at the time she didn't know why.
"Uh - friends. Not old friends, new friends. I'm not from his past, actually I'm quite new here. Quite new. Yep. I've made a lot of friends since I came here, yep. Just friends. New friends. Yep Yep!"
'Oh my god.. oh my god... oh my god.. head down. Shut up. Stare and wait for food.'
She did, in that order. Staring at the table, swallowing, and taking a breath. She had been caught rambling before - but never like that.

Sam fumbled with his hands in the front pockets of his stonewash jeans. "Uh yeah, we just met." he replied to Sookie, echoing Brandy's words. "She's renting Dawn's old place for a little while till she settles in." he stated matter of factly, best to keep it simple and on the level he thought.
What he didn't say was that he felt a really strange and deep attraction to the Bon Temps newcomer and he regretted pushing her away he did the night before. Even though it was the right and respectful thing to do.
"You made an order Brandy?" Sam asked, trying his d*mndest to look professional in front of Sookie.

Sookie was filling the salt, listening. And what she heard made her want to giggle. BB was all stricken with puppy love, and puppy love it would be, wait no, doggie love! She smiled to herself and let out a little giggle. BB had thought loudly about her little affection for Sam. And then, Sam made a quick response. But what he said made Sookie remember somethng terrible, the whole Dawn death, the first in the string that lead to her almost dying. "Dawn's place huh?" She said, really as just an outloud thought than a question.
Sam had turned the focus to BB again, asking an order. Wow, he sure was trying. Sam knew that Sookie knew things, so he had to know she knew. And all that thought just made Sookie laugh again. "We got a good burger here!" She said, trying to cover her laugh as she gave Sam a look, with smiling eyes and eyebrows.

Sam had asked if she made an order, and Brandy nodded to him with a warm smile.
"I sure did. Chicken wings, Louisiana-style with some fries and a side of ranch dressing. I guess I am in a chicken wing kind of mood today. Your welcome to join me if you like, but it is alright if you have too much work."
Which was had expected, after all, businesses did take a lot to run. That, and Sookie was listening to them with a cheerful expression on her face. Brandy couldn't help it, Sookie's happy demeanor was contagious.
"Dawn's place huh?"
Sookie's body language had given away that she knew about the place and the murder there. Brandy felt the need to say something..
"Yeah, I cleaned it up nicely, I have to get the television hooked up but I don't mind watching movies"
'I sent that darn dark energy straight to the ground where it belonged!'
She thought it, but outward she had nodded her head contently.
"We got a good burger here!"
"You got the whole package here Sookie, a great guy for an owner - an excellent, flamboyant cook, and friendly very pretty waitresses. All the reason people keep coming back"

Sam watched the back and forth between Sookie and Brandy with an awkward smile. He really didn't quite know what to say or do. One wrong word would set off gossip, rumours and implications. Should he excuse himself? Because right now he looked so conspicuous and he felt like there was a giant neon sign above his head with the word 'dork' and an arrow pointing downwards at him.
He knew from Sookie's stifled laugh and smile, that she was picking things up from both himself and Brandy. He doubted it was intentional though, Sookie was careful with her telepathy. But she was having a good time with it nonetheless.
"I sure did. Chicken wings, Louisiana-style with some fries and a side of ranch dressing. I guess I am in a chicken wing kind of mood today. Your welcome to join me if you like, but it is alright if you have too much work." Brandy asked him hopefully. Sam felt those awkward pangs again. How to answer with Sookie there?
"Uh, I'll see what I can do. Got some papers I'll need you to fill out for the duplex. Just insurance and sh*t, nothing to worry about" he smiled, it was the truth afterall. But if it meant spending time in the company of a beautiful woman, then why not?
