Kyle opened his mouth to Sam when BB called to him and he turned to the other witch. Paintballing? "Ah, sure. Why not. Just gimme the time and place later." He answered, giving the other witch a smile before turning back towards the owner of Merlotte's. "Hey ah, can I talk to you for a second? Somewhere more private?" He didn't want to ask for a job out in the open, considering there is a good chance that he'll be shot down, due to his age.

((OOC: Should slow this down, let Jason catch up ))
Kyle asked to see Sam in private. Sam threw him a look of confusion. What could he possibly ask him in there, that he couldn't ask him right now? No point in potentially embarassing the kid. "Uh, sure. Come to my office quickly." he motioned Kyle to come with him and walked towards the back.
Sam looked back towards Brandy. "I'll be back in a few..." he paused he almost called her babe. He stopped himself in time, no need to leave her with all the questions it would have caused.

Kyle gave a polite nod to BB and Haylee and Jason and followed Sam towards the back. He was probably being a drama queen, but he didn't wanna ask in front of everyone incase he was shot down. Which he probably was going to be anyway. He just didn't want everyone to see and look at his with all those sympathetic eyes. He followed the older man into his office and just stodd there in the middle of the room ,waiting for direction. He didn't wanna be impolite and just take a seat before it was offered.

BB's question caught Lafayette off guard. He knew paintballing involved guns and Lafayette had a huge issue with guns ever since that stupid bi+ch Ginger shot him in the leg when he was trying to escape Fangtasia. But then again that was a real gun and this would just be paint guns. Besides, it gave him the opportunity to get to know Kyle. "Aight, aight. I is in, BB." He called over to her, smiling his signature smile.

Jason would look like a little b*tch if he backed out now, plus he really wanted to get to know Haylee. Plus if Lafayette was going he wouldn't feel as awkward around BB and Sam.
"Alright, alright! Now this is a party! When you wanna start this shindig?"

Brandy was positively gleeful now! She couldn't stop beaming from ear to ear. That made 6 of them, 3 groups of pairs - 3 teams down in the wilderness ready to take on the world!
... Well, ready to take on a paintball camp at least. There were things like rules, equipment, time and location and all of that. She could go over the rules tomorrow so they would be fresh in everybody's mind. "Alright, alright! Now this is a party! When you wanna start this shindig?" "Tomorrow morning, 7 am. There is a paint ball camp on the outskirts of Renard Parish Road. We will go have a game for a couple hours and then we can all go get some kentucky fried chicken for a sort of picnic thing. I'll take care of everything and we can go over all the rules tomorrow"She felt almost accomplished, well - what else could a group of acquaintances do together that would be fun and exciting? With the team work involved, it was surely going to bring everybody closer and she wouldn't turn down the chance to get closer to Sam.
Speaking of Sam, he was being beckoned by Kyle to go talk someplace private. Brandy tilted her head, curious as to what Kyle had to say that he had to speak to Sam in private. "I'll be back in a few...""Oh, of course hu - - um, Sam. I'll be waiting here with the others"Brandy was flustered, and decided to take a seat. She motioned Jason and Haylee over to the table."Come you two, have a seat and we will get that drink going. Don't worry about Sam, Haylee, he sounds like he will busy for a moment"

"Hey Lafayette...can you get me my usual?" Jason was thirsty and ready for his first cold one of the day. He was also contemplating drinking until dawn because dang...7 a.m. that was fxcking early! Granted he had a job that required an early start but on his days off he liked to sleep in occasionally.
He looked over at Haylee again, he'd done stupider stuff to get a girls attention and getting up early wouldn't even make the top ten. Come to think of it, it might not even make the top twenty.
"So Ms. Haylee, what brings you to Bon Temps? Girl like you hanging around a place like this, it ain't natural." He winked at BB. "Did my good friend BB trick you or something? She has a tendency to do that every now and then. In a good way."

"I's be there!" Lafayette called to BB again before turning to Jason. "My hamburger and a beer?" He asked Jason, already going to the fridge to get the meat and beer. Lafayette took out the beer, grabbed a bottle opener from a drawer and popped off the cap. With the beer in his hand, he walked back to the counter and placed it on the counter.

To be honest with herself, she didn't know Sam all to well, where everyone else had seemed to know him. [As well as respect him]. Or that's what Haylee had gathered, from her perspective at least. Not to say that she didn't respect him as well, because she DID! Also, he seemed like a upstanding guy, to make one final note about him. So, it couldn't hurt to ask her BOSS, about this casual manner of paintball. Despite hearing BB's comment about him not minding, then blinked when Sam had given his input. Her lips pursed a slight whisper of a reply, "Yes!" Oh, how silly of her to forget her surroundings; balling a fist for victory. Right, hello, reality! Haylee coughed slightly and glanced toward BB, "Looks like I'm in, for sure!" She probably would've thanked Sam, but she needed to recover from a slight "dorky" moment.
Boy, Merlotte's looked to be expanding from customers a tiny bit. Time really flew, as cliche as that was. While Haylee may not know the locals of Bon Temps, she really hoped to change that. Mainly due to meeting the kind of people that she has already, it made her feel welcomed. Less lonely and somewhat confident, in getting a new start within this place. "Hopefully, I'll get up alright." Haylee chuckled to the embarrassing idea of sleeping over the agreed time. As it was early, though she never had a problem with the morning hours. You never knew sometimes, your body just surprised you. Her lips smirked, before trying to appear norm, when she could swear that BB had almost noted a "hun." It wasn't none of her business, but she couldn't help but be curious.
Though, it's not something she'd ask right away. Maybe a little later. Well, having a little seat wasn't so bad. She obliged BB and couldn't wait to have a drink. Maybe, it was only a matter of time before she had bad luck. As everything had been going alright. Nah, she couldn't think like that and shook her forehead. Blinking when Jason started to speak with her. 'Needed a fresh start, of some kind N' somethin had said, come on down." Haylee began and perked a eyebrow when looking toward BB, she wouldn't trick her into anything. Would she? Haylee then looked toward Jason and replied. "Seems natural to me. I work here."

"Take a seat" Sam said, extending his hand to a nearby chair. He leant on the edge of his desk and folded his arms over and eyed the young man curiously. "What is it I can do for you?" Sam had his suspicions about what it could be, but thought it best to let Kyle explain himself. He gave a reassuring smile in an effort to help him spill out his question.

Kyle took the offered seat, shedding his coat as he did so and wrapped it up haphazardly in his lap. He took a breath, and then asked his question. "Here's the deal. I need a job..and...was wondering if you had any places open?" Simple, straight, and to the point. He was in here enough to know the routine, so wouldn't he have an edge over other people?

He wanted a job. He paused and looked straight at him. "Wait, aren't you under 21?" he paused again, Sam couldn't give him a job out front if he was under 21. But Kyle seemed like a nice enough guy and was honest enough to just ask.
"I can't give you anything out front. The place'd get shut down in a heartbeat." Sam straightened up and put his hands in his back pockets casually. "But if you really want a job, you can work part-time in the kitchen with Lafayette. Help him out with whatever he needs. It's not glamourous, but it's a job and it's yours if you want it."
Sam waited on Kyle's answer. Truth was it really wasn't a glamourous job at all. It was cleaning, chopping veg, preparing meat, stock checks that sort of thing. But if he wanted the job, he could arrange something.

"Well...I'm not good with cooking, but I can chop and prepare the stuff sure" He said, giving the bar owner a smile. Wasn't a too bad sounding job, and it would let him work with Lafayette, whom Kyle found hilarious. And Tara...who's attitude is usually funny (from afar!)...but recently with her bruises and stuff and Lafayette going off on her when he sees her... Yeah, drama.

"Okay." Sam said with a responsive smile. "I'll need to get some paperwork set up for you. Just tell me what times and days you can work and I'll start setting it all up for you." he gave Kyle a look, "though if you're coming to the paintball outing, maybe starting tomorrow isn't such a good idea. How about Monday?"
Merlotte's was closed most Sunday's as the business was never as good and it just wasn't worth staying open for. By Monday rolled around, Sam could have everything worked out.

Kyle nodded, knowing that there would be paperwork and legal stuff that would need to be filed before he could officially work there yada yada. "Ah, yeah, Monday's fine" He answered. Wow, tomorrow he would be playing paint ball with his soon-to-be boss? What is it with him and authority figures? He's dating his teacher, and now he's hanging out with his boss? Hmm...
