Sam could feel his skin heat up at her every word. She was being even more brazen and flirty than before. He was trying so hard to keep a straight, unassuming face as she made it clear she wanted him and the invitation was there. He couldn't get the mental image out of his head, which was probably her plan.
Her offer was seductive and tempting. Part of himself wanted to say to hell with work and take her into his trailer and give her exactly what she wanted. The other, responsible part of himself shut that thought down. Being a gentleman sucked sometimes, but he hadn't even been on a real date with her yet. He even refrained from giving her a mock lecture about her outrageous behaviour. Like she'd listen he told himself.
"But I know how you are, so mostly I'm just teasing you now. Seriously though, are you working late tonight?" Sam let out a small breath of relief, his temperature returning to normal. Though Sam's natural body temperature was above normal human degrees. "Uh, yeah I work late most nights." Sam answered her question, more so in an effort to distract himself. "Finish about 1am"

Well, that was as far as she would let herself get. She flirted with Sam, a lot, but never that much. She made a note in her mind to not let herself tease him that badly. Plus, it wasn't how she wanted him to see her.
"Well, I did get carried away back there.. didn't I? Don't worry, I won't embarrass us both that bad again. Though, if you could of seen how flustered you got..."
If it had been appropriate, she would of playfully poked his cheek, but it didn't seem like the right thing to do at the time. As he mentioned what time he would be home she made a mental note of it and smiled.
"Are there any late night movies playing? Maybe we could go see one... unless you have other plans. Like oh, I don't know.. sleep.."

Sam shook his head and wagged his finger at her playfully. "You are..." he paused and smiled. "such a wicked woman." he shook his head again laughing.
"Are there any late night movies playing? Maybe we could go see one... unless you have other plans. Like oh, I don't know.. sleep.." Sam stopped laughing, but his smile remained and he struggled to keep it looking casual but failed. "Are you asking me out on a date?" he didn't wait for an answer. "You know, I'd like that." he beamed and his blue eyes sparkled. "I'll pick you up at the duplex when I finish?"

"Are you asking me out on a date?"
Oh wow, it hadn't even occurred to her until that moment that they hadn't even been on a date yet. She couldn't help but to scold herself, but that didn't last long - she was actually just shaking her head mentally at herself. One day, she was sure, she would look back at these times and laugh about being a foolish girl completely head-over-heels for a guy she barely knew at the time.
"You know, I'd like that."
There were those butterflies again.
"I'll pick you up at the duplex when I finish?"
"Sure. That sound's nice. You know the town better than I do so we can take your truck"
She smiled again, something she was used to when she was around him. She wasn't sure what movie they were going to go see, but it was a traditional custom for first date's right? A movie was comfortable, people were always around and there was (usually) nothing expected to come of it.
Now, she could finally go inside and eat.
"So, yeah, it's a date. Officially, as far as date's go. I'll see you inside"
Another smile and she off toward the bar once again, a familiar warm feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Sam felt a grin cross his lips as he watched Brandy walk towards the front of the bar. She really was something else, metaphorically and literally. Admittedly her power did intimidate him a little as did her forward nature. But she was such a sweet and honest girl it really didn't matter.
They had officially made there first date together. A late night movie which was perfectly laid back and fun. The local drive through should have something on worth watching. At the very least they could get some popcorn and drinks and make fun of whatever movie they went to see.
He was starting to look forward to it. He liked Brandy a lot and wanted to treat her right not just jump in feet first like he used to do. He walked back into the bar via the back entrance. A little skip in his step and a smile on his face.
((OOC: The End?))
