Character History:
Rose grew up in a very close family living on the outskirts of a small village, called Bettys-y-Crywn, on the border of England and Wales. Life for Rose was pretty simple, her mother looked after her and her father went out to work, that was until her mother died when she was ten. After that it became Rose's responsibility to help look after her younger brother and the house, her father worked hard to put what little they had on the table. Rose never seen her life as being overly hard, it was just luck that her friends still had their mothers to help them and teach them how to do the small things that mattered. Luckily they also helped out Rose when she was stuck, but she soon found her friends where being courted by the young men from the village, and while she wished them luck she knew she couldn't leave her fathers house as she had to look after him.
When Rose was 17 a civil war broke out, she didn't think much of it as she had too much within her own home to worry about. Her main worry was her father was still young and healthy enough to be a soldier and it seemed he had his mind set on supporting the parliamentarians. One night after having an argument with her father about a local lad, Rose woke up to strange noises. She smelt smoke fill her room, and so grabbing the hems of her nightgown she done the sensible thing and ran from the house. Soon she seen the whole village was aflame, she could barely breath, she needed to clear her lungs. Calling for her brother and father she started running towards what looked to be a clearing in the mayhem. The next day when she made her way back towards the village she seen the destruction in the day. The village gossips were out and rumours abound that someone had set the fire, was trying to burn a monster out of the village. Rose also discovered she had lost her father and brother to the flames, in her grief she walked for miles trying to reconcile her guilt of outliving her family. Rose got lost and continued to wander, and around this time a young man found her, her 'rescuer'.
As it turned out, this man was a vampire and he offered Rose eternal life. Deciding to accept his offer Rose was turned just days after her 18th birthday. Rose joined her makers nest and stayed there for a couple of centuries before deciding to take off on her home. Eventually making her way to America Rose reveled in her new life.
Since the announcement of the existence of vampires Rose has enjoyed watching how the humans react.
Personality:
Rose is a very loyal person to family and friends, when she is in a nest she views that as her family and views the protection of the nest as a principle rule. Of course growing up 400 years ago has also left impressions, although she enjoys the freedom females have today she still expects the younger generation to show her more deference then they generally do, as she truly believes elders are wiser. She is smart and resourceful and can get along with or without a nest. Humans don't bother her so much, their lives are so fleeting she never seen the point of interacting with them unless it was for food or fun. Now that vampires have announced themselves she sees this as an opportunity to see if vampires and humans can get along.

Rose hadn't thought much of the human male that was following her, she knew she could outrun him if need be. She was more curious about his reason fro following a vampire, surely he realised the danger he put himself in. Smiling to herself she decided to take the long way back to her nest and see if this human was still willing to follow. As she continued her way through the dark streets the houses became more sparse. She thought she remembered what you called him, Peter, John something along those lines. Yes she remembered him clearly from the bar, he had been eying most of the vampires there. But clearly he decided there was something about Rose. Rose shrugged and took the next turn onto a deserted track and picked up her speed. Listening carefully she could hear the human pant trying to keep up with her. Frowning she knew he couldn't go much farther without leading him to her nest and that was not what she wanted. Sighing she stopped and turned around.
"If you wish to speak to me speak now human. I am tired of you trailing me."
All was quiet for a while, then she seen him get closer. She could feel the tension in the air, so he was slightly frightened of her. He looked like he was in his late 20's, not too bad looking.
"That's far enough human, speak your mind."
He took a while but finally he managed to clear his throat and speak,
"My name is Jonathan, I...I was wondering if I could accompany you?"
Rose couldn't suppress her laughter
"You wish to walk me home young thing? And what would that achieve, surely you realise I am much stronger than you? Or were you wanting more? Come closer now."
Jonathan walked up to Rose, she had already decided she was too hungry not to feed on him. As he got closer she smiled at him and silently urged him towards her.
