It's...
It's so strange that they are so pretty.
It was the dead of night, William had been perched upon a pile of lumber for quite some time. Simply staring at the starry sky, his face was drained of any noticeable emotion. How he'd found himself at his current location was a mystery. At times William enjoyed simply finding a pleasant place to relax while meditating on his everlasting life. Williams' appearance, clothing wise, was a slim pair of jeans, a white sleeve-less dress shirt & a plain ol' black tie. Not the most elegant of apparel, but comfortable non-the-less.
"Heh, I wonder what the Stars think about humans & vampires. As if we are grains of sand, perhaps?"
He questioned himself. When William had happened to have the rare time to his own solitude he'd go on about philosophies that he enjoyed delving in. Not that he was expecting anyone at the time, he felt a unfamiliar presence approaching. Playing it off as if he didn't care who'd come across him, he sat there quietly. Staring off into the darkest corners of space itself.

Kimberly was on her evening jog. She had had so many things on her plate that she had not had a chance for her daily run any sooner. Dressed in orange Nike tank top, simple white shorts and trainers, she was running in the construction area.
While many would have been afraid to run at the dead of night, she felt quite at home in the dark loneliness of the night. She had her protection charm and a bottle of pepper spray just in case thought.
As she was busy with her thoughts and the music on her pink iPod loud in her ears, she didn't notice a young man standing in her jogging route. It had only been a matter of inches that she had not collided with him head on.
"Oh my stars. I am so sorry. I didn't see you there," she exclaimed and removed her headphones.

"Oh my stars. I am so sorry. I didn't see you there,"
Williams' bleak manner had immediately changed into that of an interested one. A soft smile formed on his moon-pale face. "It's quite alright." He remarked, pushing himself up & off the splintered lumber. He & the woman were in close proximity, something that was quite foreign from how he normally conversed with others. She was quite the beauty. This town was full of good looking Females, it was honestly a heaven on earth. Pushing his fingers through his hair, he'd managed to tuck a few strands behind his left ear before he began to speak once again.
"You sure are courageous, running alone in such a place." William stated as he stood there motionless, staring at the woman was his only observant move. She most certainly wasn't of his kind, but there was something that pulsed from her very soul. Something much different than any Human or vampire he'd encountered in his lifetime. The darkness camouflaged his deep & dark brown eyes, as if only a white iris & black pupil remained. Mysterious perhaps? The woman's hair radiated the star-light so perfectly, as if she'd managed to infuse star beams into her very stands. Gorgeous.

"It's quite alright."
"I must start being more careful. It's just that I get so into what I'm listening to that I block out everything else. Those darn Beatles," Kimberly laughed nervously. Something about the demeanor of this handsome young man frightened her. She could sense that he was indeed not human. He must be a vampire.
His skin was soft and pale and in the moonlight, he looked like one of those dashing heroes from the books she used to read as a little girl. Like Heathcliff or Darcy.
Kimberly blushed deeply as those thoughts entered her brain. She hoped the darkness of the night would conceal her rosy cheeks.
"You sure are courageous, running alone in such a place."
"I'm not afraid, I can take care of myself. I do have two brothers after all. I'm used to defending myself," she laughed more happily this time.
"I take it that you are not from here," Kimberly asked with curiosity. "I mean, your accent," she continued, hoping he would not be offended.

"I must start being more careful. It's just that I get so into what I'm listening to that I block out everything else. Those darn Beatles,"
William couldn't help but chuckle at her phrase. The Beatles were all the rage in England & quite frankly William strongly disliked their' music. There was but what song he actually could listen to without getting bored. Blackbird, which most likely could fit this very evening. He couldn't help but feel a calmness that this woman provided with her very words, as soothing as a dove. Vampires had always been better at interpreting others' overall aura & feelings, but this very girl was different. It was no use thinking to heavily over. His smile still soft, he listened to her defense at the comment he made earlier.
"I'm not afraid, I can take care of myself. I do have two brothers after all. I'm used to defending myself,"
Putting his hand over his mouth in surprise, he began to talk. "Oh no! I hope I didn't offend you the slightest. I was merely stating that you don't see so many women like yourself runninga alone with no escort. You're far brave than most I've met." Pulling his hand away from his mouth, a smile was unveiled. As hard as she attempted to hide the blush that was displayed on her cheeks they were still very noticeable to the eye of a Vampire. He took a step back, now facing the sky yet again.
"I take it that you are not from here,"
His eyes' pushed to the right as he attempted to gain a view of her without her actually noticing. "My my, you are quite the Nancy Drew of this era eh' ?" He questioned playfully. He didn't think she'd mind him tossing a tiny joke in her direction, "I hail from London, England itself. Quite different than this place, but no better or worse." He stated calmly. His plain black-tie swayed ever so slightly in the night breeze that accommodated the two this warm summers' night. "My name is William. & you are?" William asked as he turned his face back to hers. His soft facial features still implanted on his pale face.

"Dont'cha worry about it. I ain't offended. I'm used to people thinking that just because I'm a blonde and a woman, I must be helpless. It's part of being a southern girl from a family of Magnolia Queen's oohing and aahing around gentlemen callers," Kimberly said giving a hearty laugh. She enjoyed making fun of her image as a Southern Belle. It amused her greatly.
"My my, you are quite the Nancy Drew of this era eh' ?"
"I'm big on accents. I like listening to different people speak, it's one of my nerdy habits." Kimberly laughed again, and felt more at ease than ever before.
I hail from London, England itself. Quite different than this place, but no better or worse."
"I love England. I have never been but would like to. It's a very historic place, I used to love reading stories about Queen Guinevere and King Arthur when I was a little girl," she said with admiration in her voice.
"My name is William. & you are?"
"I'm Kimberly. Kimberly Hollingsworth. Nice to meet you William." She said and offered her hand to the stranger to shake. She wasn't sure if he would go for it but that was the polite thing to do.
"I'm so glad I decided to jog tonight. Meeting you is a very nice end to my day," She said blushing again, this time hoping he wouldn't take her words in the wrong way.

William heard all she had to say, but the moment she offered her hand to shake his eyes' tensed up. He could smell the very blood that ran through the veins & arteries in her arm, a river of delicious life. He hadn't fed in quite some time, it honestly was not his fault he couldn't think about actually feeding upon the poor girl. Trying equally hard to stop his gaze on her hand, he forced his eyes' to look at hers' . "The pleasure is all...mine." He stated, his soft smile was thwarted by that of a fake one. You have to control yourself! She doesn't deserve this. This thought lingered through his mind, but he knew If he fed on her that he'd never forgive himself.
He rose his arm to meet hers. His hand noticeably shaky, it was something he couldn't stop easily. He merely had to focus & subdue his urge. As their hands connected he shook with some force, not a hand-shake he'd normally return.
"I'm so glad I decided to jog tonight. Meeting you is a very nice end to my day,"
I wish you hadn't. He took a step or so back, in order to gain distance between the two. At that moment he felt his fangs release themselves from his mental grip. Immediately turning his face in the opposite direction to hid the d**ned sharp teeth he possessed, he began to speak. "I think you should get back to your travels. I'd never forgive myself If I were to keep you from a prior engagement." Still not looking straight at her, he questioned to himself if she had already noticed he was a child of the night. A vampire.

When she walked at night in Bon Temps, Anouk always carried a parasol. Quite ironic, seeing as parasol's are for the sun, the direct Spanish translation is "For Sun" and at night, there was only moonlight. Maybe it did get a bit bright for her on near-full moon's though. Wearing an outfit that made her feel like she was actually in the sunshine, she walked in the woods of Bon Temps, not too far from the road if she needed to dash back home an hour or two before sunrise. As she strolled along easily, moseying around trees and whatnot, a certain smell danced past her nose. It was him. The last person she'd expect to be in Bon Temps was there. Letting her parasol lower to her side, she collapsed it and began to run as fast as she could towards the direction of him. Not splattering one drop of mud on her shoes or dress, she slowed down when she became more near to him, seeing a young woman standing in front of him. Anouk could sense the tension in the air, and she didn't negh the foggy, southern air, she approached the two, speaking a few words. "Hello William. It's been a very long time."Anouk's tone was light, friendly and she had a smile on her mouth. This could either go very well, or very bad, depending on how William was feeling that night.

"I know what you are thinking. You wanna feed on me. Well I know it's all natural to you, being a vampire and all but I don't think it's such a good idea." Kimberly said with a pointed smile. She was not afraid of time man, she was sure he would never touch her in a bad way. He had gentle eyes and while his nature might be a brutal killer, she didn't see him as such.
"You see, I'm a witch. A real proper southern one. Come from a long time to witches and while I might not be very experienced, I am pretty decent in the protective charm. You could still feed on me but that would make it a teeny bit harder," she said running fingers on his pale arm. She could feel the electricity there, and she was sure he felt it as well.
Suddenly they were interrupted by a woman. A dark-haired one who almo had the smell of a vampire. Her arrival shook some of Kimberly's well practiced confidence but she was still not afraid of what was to happen.

"I know what you are thinking. You wanna feed on me. Well I know it's all natural to you, being a vampire and all but I don't think it's such a good idea."
William's gaze became weak, as if this woman Kimberly had a power over him with ease. He felt quite guilty for the very thoughts that circled his mind. "I'm sorry." He stated bleakly, not really having an excuse for acting the way he did, it wasn't his fault that his urges took control at times. He wished he could hide behind the very stars that gazed upon the earth. At least there he'd never hurt anyone, or never get hurt by others.
"You see, I'm a witch. A real proper southern one. Come from a long time to witches and while I might not be very experienced, I am pretty decent in the protective charm. You could still feed on me but that would make it a teeny bit harder,"
His eyes' turned in her direction for a moment before he shut them intently, a petite smile still present on his mouth. "Of course, Thats explains what I sensed when you came near me. I will shamefully admit, I've never met a Witch. I've read & such, but never was granted the grace of one." Quite the change in events. Even if he'd try to feast upon her blood, her magic would've of possible halted him from doing so. But at the exact moment that thought circled his mind he felt a familiar presence. As did Kimberly it seemed.
"Hello William. It's been a very long time."
It was a familiar face. A vampire he'd met back in Europe. He scent was the same as it was seventy or so years ago. Her name, well it was quite the name, Anoushka. A vampire as well, she was quite the character. His fangs still present, he barely noticed they stood erect from his upper-jaw. His expression in sheer awe, he was basically speechless. The luck that the two happened upon each other was astronomical. Fate perhaps? He began to speak, yet still his expression was in a state of surprise. "It's you..but how?" He questioned, not entirely sure at what to say. An awkward moment of course. Turning his face back to Kimberly, he nodded. "I'm sorry. This is a friend of mine." Turning back to Anoushka, he nodded as well. "This is quite the turn of events I'd say." Stating quickly before he closed his mouth to let the two say what ever they'd please. Was this fates' doing? Only time would tell.

((Btw my computer spazzed when writing that if it looks a little weird, blame my mom's old e-machine)) Yes, it was indeed an odd run-in, astronomical odds did come into play when the two met again after nearly 70 years, but maybe it was fate? As the three stood there in almost awkward silence, Anouk spoke up towards William, somewhat explaining herself. "You know after Marcel and I split, I went back to New Orleans, yes? Well, when Katrina hit New Orleans was a complete mess, so I went north to this little town Bon Temps. I liked the name. What brings you here, I doubt it has anything to do with good times, hm?" Anouk was probing William to an almost nosy sense, but she really did want to know what he was doing in Louisiana of all places, why not Jolly Ol' England or Gay Paris, not the swamps and bayou, he always seemed a little more aristocratic than that. And who was this little blonde he was speaking too? She was attractive but mortal, and smelled so sweet, maybe that's why William's fangs were out and he was ready to feed from her. Either way, she did not take to this well, and her demeanor was hardened towards the woman. "Whos this?" Anouk asked bluntly, lifting her head a bit more in the air and making her frame more ridgid, she was hoping to assert her authority over this human, no more than walking blood to her.

"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. It's in your nature, you can't help it. And people think about doing horrible things all the time; only the ones who act on those thoughts are the bad ones." Kimberly said gently, almost feeling sorry for this young man and the heavy burden he was carrying on his shoulders.
"Of course, Thats explains what I sensed when you came near me. I will shamefully admit, I've never met a Witch. I've read & such, but never was granted the grace of one."
"Well we are even then. You are the first male vampire I have ever met. For some reason I have only ever met female ones before." Kimberly smiled as sunnily as before. She needed to hold back thought, she couldn't be flirting with this young man. Not while she was thinking of Alcide.
The woman who had approached them, seemed to know William. And she didn't seem to like Kimberly very much which she found odd as they had never met previously.
William introduced her and seemed to like the female vamp which admittedly annoyed Kimberly. She was so enjoying this talk with William and now felt like she would have to share him with someone else.
"Whos this?" The female vamp asked, with a superior tone with irritated Kimberly.
"Kimberly Hollingsworth. Pleasure to meet you," Kimberly said facing the woman head on. She would not be intimidated and she was not afraid.
