She'd gotten bored of going to the graveyard when she was bored, all she did was stare at the tombstones of her maker's deceased relatives. What fun is there in that? Nothing. Her maker, Bill Compton, was back home with Sookie Stackhouse, his human. She had told them she was going for a walk, pulled on shoes and walked out the door. Even her kind needed to go for a nice refreshing walk sometimes in their immortal "lives." She walked down the dark road, Renard Parish Road. It was half past two and she had a few hours until dawn. Her name was Jessica and she was a Vampire.
Jessica looked up at the dark night sky, the stars were bright tonight. But Jessica's Vampire eyes caught the brightest one almost instantly. She closed her eyes and made a wish, something she loved to do when she was human. Jessica was a new-born Vampire, she had a lot of her humanity left, at least that's what she always heard. Reopening her eyes, Jessica looked back to the dark road. No vehicle headlights lite up the pavement so she was surrounded by the dark. She resumed walking, barely looking around her. The correct adjectives to describe Jessica Hamby would be crazy and carefree. She took the iPod touch she'd glamored a human into giving her and scrolled through the songs. A specific song had caught her and she decided to play it. Tapping the screen with her finger, the song began to play and pierced the quiet early morning.

What was that noise?
That horrid noise?
Williams' ears were perked up as he heard some strange sound coming from up the road. Music perhaps? Regardless it was quite irritating. He also smelt the scent of another in the distance. His eyes' attempted to gaze down the dark road, but to no avail, it was simply to dark. "A human? No I smell the scent of a Vampire." Pausing for a moment before he opened his mouth to remark on the smell. "This town is a haven for Vampires I presume. Vampire friendly. How amusing." Tucking a large stand of hair behind his right ear, he pushed up the sleeves' of his elegant button-down dress shirt. He looked into the distance before He shot forward at a speed that was quite inhuman, being a Vampire & all.
After a moment or so He found himself standing right in front of a Red-headed woman. She reminded him of someone, but her scent was quite foreign. As if they'd never met. She seemed deep in thought & the sound that he heard from over a mile away was the headphone and device that was giving off a vibration that slightly hurt his ears'. William was a technophobe among other things. He hated the modern day gadgets everyone possessed. Instead he was old-fashioned. A simple record was all he needed to please his musical taste. Standing directly in her path he said nothing, simply waiting to she if she'd already noticed he was in her presence. She was a vampire after all, if she was decently aged she would of sensed him while he was a mile back. A suave smile implanted on his pale face, his shirt swayed slightly in the breeze of that summer night.

Jessica had sensed movement near her. She had paused the music, her fangs on the verge of extracting. But then a familiar scent filled her nostrils. Vampire. Her fangs stayed retracted and she looked around. Suddenly, a man was standing right in front of her. She knew he was a Vampire, because what other supe could travel as fast as they could? That was just common knowledge. He was standing in her way and Jessica raised her red eyebrows, a habit she was beginning to pick up. She could see a smile appear his face in the dark, a smile that confused her. She looked down at the iPod she'd been holding that was still lite up. Turning the screen off, she pushed it into her pocket and looked back up at the fellow Vampire. "Umm, hello." She said, simply, giving a little wave with her eyebrows still raised.

"Umm, hello." "Diddo." He stated bleakly. She was quite the looker, her red hair was as fiery as her voice. "I'm quite sorry, I just find it amazing that there are so many of us located in this small hole-in-the wall town. Highly intriguing." His smile still present as he noticed her fangs had already erected themselves' from her upper-jaw. "Hesitant?" He questioned. Knowing well that she happened to be younger than himself, which was a first among other things. Frankly, he normally was the younger when he'd happen upon other Vampires. It was quite pleasant to be the stronger of the two, but he'd never make it seem as if he took pleasure in being stronger, he had no reason to spawn any sort of animosity.
"I hope I'm not blocking you're path?" He asked quizzically, stepping off the path & into the grass beside it, motioning her to walk by. "& I'm sorry If I happened to startle you. I have a tendency to do so..A bad habit perhaps." She seemed so familiar, but William couldn't quite put his hand on why he felt she was. Regardless, it was nice to meet another potential friend in this cut-throat world he happened to live in. There was something about her, an allure unmatched by any. William couldn't help but remain intrigued by the woman.

When he said the word 'us,' Jessica clarified that he was Vampire too. "Yeah, who would've thought?" She laughed, her normal tone coming out as she spoke. "No, I'm not hesitant." She said, feeling her fangs rest in their place in her mouth. She put on a smile and then looked him over. Whether he was younger or older then her, Jessica had no clue. But seeing as how most Vampires she met in Bon Temps were older then her, Jessica had a feeling this guy was no different. God d**n it, why is every Vampire I meet frickin' older then me?! She asked herself but kept the smile plastered on her face. She nodded quite politely as he stepped onto the grass and continued to walk, but slowly enough for them to continue their conversation. "It's no problem." She waved off his apology, shrugging in the process. "I have bad habits too, like raising my eyebrows when something confuses me or something." She could see that he was trying to place where they'd met before but Jessica knew for a fact they had never met before tonight.

"No, I'm not hesitant."
"Ah, I see. Sorry If I misunderstood." His mannerism as elegant as ever. Standing tall & calm was his forte, something he took much pride in. None the less, he followed her as she had passed him. "I don't do this often, but I love to hear the experiences & stories other Vampires have in their possession. It's something I simply enjoy hearing." He remarked quite quickly. Raising his arm so his hand met his chin, a scholarly position if anything at all. "Would it be out of line & classless If I asked how you have turned from human into a Child of the night?" He questioned, referring to a Vampire of course. for some, the transformation from human to Vampire could be thought of as a cruse and burden that has changed their' life for the worse. In William's case quite the opposite, but he could not talk for every Vampire in existent.
Some humans may have been turned without their consent. Forced to become something they feared. How cruel a fate. Was it the fate of this girl? Only she could be the judge of that. "If you feel uncomfortable at all answering that question or even the fact that I happen to be following you. Please merely state that you wish for me not to & I shall be gone in an instance." His tone calm & polite. He couldn't help but feel mellow around this woman. Her aura was soothing, different then most Vampires that William had happened upon.

She waved off his apology again. "That's alright." She said, not at all as elegant as he was. Her eyebrows raised once more, this time in interest. "Really?" She asked, then thought about his next question. Wow, this guy is so proper! He must be from like the 1700's or something. Jessica almost smirked but she stopped herself so she wouldn't confuse him. "Child of the night? I've never heard someone call us that before." She laughed, amused now. "No it wouldn't be out of line to ask me that." She clarified, she liked telling her story to other Vampires, well not so much the part when she had to mention why she loved being one of the undead but still. Her eyebrows raised even higher as he spoke again. "I don't mind at all." She smiled warmly, then paused awkwardly.

"Child of the night? I've never heard someone call us that before."
He had laughed at her statement, placing his fingers' over his mouth as he chuckled like some Old & rich aristocrat. "To me at least, Vampire sounds anti-climatic, but I guess that is how I just view things. I grew up in a most different era than the one of today you see." In all honesty, William tended to blow things out of proportion. 'Child of the Night. How ridiculously unnecessary. Never-the-less, William remained at the girl's side. Quite curious on how such a quaint girl managed to become part of the undead. Tapping his chin with his index-finger, he opened his mouth to begin speaking. "How were you transformed?" He questioned simply. Her story should most definitely of been interesting to say the least.
William couldn't help but remain curious to the stories of others. It was simply in his nature to be so. His gaze momentarily locked on to her face as he awaited to hear what exactly had happened to change her life so drastically. A sense of anticipation was captured in his eyes'. The suspense was horrid, he simply had to know.

She thought about what he said for a moment before speaking and answering his question. "I was turned against my will." She said. "I was...punishment, I guess you could say, because my makr killed another one of us and thus needed to recreate a Vampire. I'm glad he did, don't get me wrong, because this new life is much better then my human one, by a long shot. I am able to do so many things I wasn't when I was mortal." She hoped he got what she meant. For once, Jessica left out the details of her human life, to her surprise. "I mean, only being able to go out at night does get annoying sometimes but I've grown used to it." She was reading his eyes clearly, she had seen the anticipation to hear about why she was a Vampire before she started.
