".. how about for the rest of our lives?" Brandy's words caused another pang of guilt. Sam opened his mouth to speak, but as he felt her body turn to face him, he couldn't find the words. As her fingertips reached his lips, his heart began to beat a little faster. Being this close to her and not being able to do anything out of fear was driving him crazy.
".. I want to kiss you. And I know it will lead to other things. But right now I don't care. I know its a horrible thing to say, but I.." she had made no secret of it before, but when the words passed her lips his stomach flipped over.
She put her head onto his chest and he felt her every breath, ".. I really want you Sam.." again not a total surprise, but the way she said it sparked something inside him. Was it the heat of the moment? Him wanting to protect her? At this moment in time it really didn't matter.
He stopped fighting himself and gave in to his emotions. Putting a gentle finger under Brandy's chin, he raised it up towards him. He slowly leant in, lingering over her lips before being consumed with desire and pressing his to hers. He wrapped his arms around her tightly finally giving in to his conflicting feelings and letting them envelop them both.

The moment she felt his finger under her chin, that very moment he tilted her face up to meet his and his soft lips pressed against hers...
... her world slipped away. She dream of this moment, this kind of kiss. It was if every other kiss right before this was nothing.. meaningless, nonexistent. He had pulled her close, tighter still as the kiss lingered and she felt like she was slipping into him - that he was becoming the part of her that nobody could touch.
She rested her hands on his shoulders, deepening the kiss the moment she felt him easing it's intensity because she didn't want it to end. This was the kind of kiss that writers wrote about, the kind that scholars dreamed about, and her whole body was on fire. She couldn't even breath.
But she had to stop. Her slender hands braced themselves against his chest as she pulled her lips reluctantly away to look into his baby blue hues. They were so much clearer now, and she couldn't help but to lean into him again. This time, her lips planted soft butterfly kisses up the nape of his slender neck, her slender digits guided themselves down the outline of his chest to rest at his hips.
She could still taste him on her lips and as her butterfly kisses made their away up the outline of his chin, she stopped right at his earlobe and kissed it gently. Her voice was warm as she whispered so tenderly into his ear..
"You gave me that moment..."

In this moment, nothing else mattered. Not work, not anything, not anybody. The only two people in existence were the two of them. All Sam's fears, all his worries simply melted away. All his pent up emotions just seemed to spill out through the kiss. What a kiss it was, gentle and passionate. Tender and intense. He could have stayed locked in this embrace forever.
Sam gasped as Brandy pulled away, but he kept his eyes closed. What if she'd realised it was a mistake? Then he felt her lips on his neck. No, not a mistake at all. She moved upwards towards his ear and whispered softly.
"You gave me that moment..."
Sam opened his eyes slowly and looked down ijto her eyes. "We deserve it." and he kissed her lightly on the forehead. "But, I can't go on like this. I have something I have to tell you." he swallowed hard. This was a make or break moment. No doubt.

"We deserve it."
She smiled warmly as he kissed her on the forehead, trying to snuggle closer to him proved impossible but she kept tryin g anyway.
"But, I can't go on like this. I have something I have to tell you"
Well, those were certainly words no woman wanted to hear after sharing a kiss like that. Hell, she didn't want to hear those words from him at anytime. She eased away from him but insisted her arms still be around him. She didn't want to let go of him, but she was afraid that it could be something..
What? Did he have kids somewhere in the world? Was he married and didn't tell her? Did he have a twin? Did he decide the kiss didn't mean as much to him as it did to her? She didn't know if she could handle something like that...
".... something... to tell me?"
She couldn't hold back the worried expression on her face, what could he possibly have to tell her that, for some reason, he couldn't go 'on' without letting her know?

The concern on Brandy's face just made Sam all the more nervous to get the secret out into the open. This was a difficult thing for him to do, he didn't just open up to anyone. In fact, he hadn't really until Sookie found out by accident. No-one else knew but he couldn't in all good conscience make any type of relationship with Brandy with this hanging over his head.
".... something... to tell me?"
Sam gently pulled away, reluctantly but he had to. He had to find his own space to do this in. He looked over at her, the look in her eyes was breaking his heart. "I uh...Brandy." he stammered uncomfortably, "this thing. It's complicated. I'm not like other men you know. I'm very different." he managed to spit some of what he wanted to say out. It wasn't much, but it was a start. His throat choked on the word, different.

"I uh...Brandy."
He pulled away from her, she had reached for him without even thinking about it but then returned her hands reluctantly to her side. This was hurting her terribly before she even knew what he had to tell her. She hated feeling this way.
"this thing. It's complicated. I'm not like other men you know. I'm very different."
This thing... ? Not like other men she knew? Well, she knew he wasn't a witch or a vampire - she didn't even think he was a werewolf. Was he a werewolf? No. That couldn't be it. A telepath? No. Not that either.
Whatever he was, he was so reluctant to tell her - was he going to turn into a mock version of Spider-man or go all green on her like Hulk?
"... I, Sam.. are you going to turn into a goblin or something? One of those crazy little gremlins if you get water on you? Because if that is going to be the case I am going to have to get ready to change.... "

"... I, Sam.. are you going to turn into a goblin or something? One of those crazy little gremlins if you get water on you? Because if that is going to be the case I am going to have to get ready to change.... "
Sam couldn't help but smile and let out a little laugh. It helped relieve some of the tension. Now he was bringing it out into the open, he wasn't sure how to broach the subject with her. She seemed really open minded, which was certainly a positive. But it's one thing to be open minded about stuff you're not involved with, than when it's right on your own doorstep.
"I...sh*t, I knew this wasn't gonna be easy but goddam it." Sam drew his hands through his thick dirty blonde hair. Letting his hands slide down his face. He turned to look at Brandy, his eyes full of determination. "I'm..." he paused again. Get a grip Sam. "I'm a Shape-Shifter."
There, it was out there now and all he had to do was wait for her reaction. Good or bad, he had to know if it affected anything.

He smiled. He laughed. Brandy tilted her head toward him, watching his body language. Whatever he was going to tell her, it mattered a lot to him.
"I...sh*t, I knew this wasn't gonna be easy but goddam it."
She watched as he drew his hands through his dirty-blond locks and mused his confession past his thin lips. This was the moment for both of them - the moment of truth.
"I'm a Shape-Shifter."
A shape shifter. She heard about them, very briefly. Shape shifters could morph into an animal if they saw it, but usually stuck to one specific animal. They were of the super natural world but hadn't come out into the open the way vampires had.
She ran through this in her mind, she didn't speak for that moment, and only looked off to the side. She was against the window, which was getting cold. This was a big deal for Sam, she realized, he kept this secret - from everyone.
She was now looking at him, her eyes had softened and she shook a step forward.
"You still would of had me at hello if you were a gremlin. (she paused, trying not to laugh at herself for making the reference) I wouldn't care if you were a vampire, a werewolf, or a witch. I like who you are, not what you are."
A soft sigh left her full lips as her slender digits ran through his dirty blond hair and she tilted her head curiously. Being a shape - shifter wasn't something to be afraid of.. why was he so scared to let people know?
"You know I wouldn't tell a soul Sam, your secret is safe with me. But why.. why are you hiding such a beautiful thing that makes you who you are?"

Brandy stood there in silence, it was a lot to take in. He wouldn't have blamed her if she'd walked out right there. He hoped her being a witch, she'd have some sort of understanding of the supernatural world. Was this one of the reasons why he was telling her so quickly? If she was just a normal human, would he have taken this chance with her?
"You still would of had me at hello if you were a gremlin. (she paused, trying not to laugh at herself for making the reference) I wouldn't care if you were a vampire, a werewolf, or a witch. I like who you are, not what you are."
Brandy interupted his thoughts. Her words couldn't help but make him smile. She understood, she didn't judge. He certainly picked the right girl to confide in. She was close to him again, another sign that she wasn't freaked out. He felt her hands through his hair.
"You know I wouldn't tell a soul Sam, your secret is safe with me. But why.. why are you hiding such a beautiful thing that makes you who you are?"
"Just because Vampires chose to came out, doesn't mean it's easy for shifters. It was generally agreed that we'd all wait to see how it went with the Vamps first."Sam began to explain, "But as you know, it's not been easy for them. Some countries encourage them to be killed on sight. I'm not sure the world is ready for more supernatural chaos." Sam sighed. "But I'm glad I told you and I'm even happier you didn't let it bother you. Me telling you was a huge risk, but it paid off." he slid his arms around her waist, a smile on his lips.

"Just because Vampires chose to came out, doesn't mean it's easy for shifters. It was generally agreed that we'd all wait to see how it went with the Vamps first."
So there were others like him. And he was like Kimberly, in the way that she didn't want anyone to know she was a witch. Brandy recalled that day at the mall when she met the sunny-haired woman. It was dangerous for Brandy too, but she seemed more open about being a witch than Sam was about being a shifter.
"But as you know, it's not been easy for them. Some countries encourage them to be killed on sight. I'm not sure the world is ready for more supernatural chaos."
"You know.. I'm sure there are even some shifters out there that wouldn't agree with you getting involved with a witch Sam - "
"But I'm glad I told you and I'm even happier you didn't let it bother you. Me telling you was a huge risk, but it paid off."
She smiled as he pulled her close, she was all butterfly-stomach and starry-eyed again. Her heart was in her throat and she leaned back against the window, bringing a finger to his soft lips.
"So.. tell me Sam.. now that you told me you couldn't carry on with me until you told me your secret.. does that mean, we can carry on now that I know?"

"You know.. I'm sure there are even some shifters out there that wouldn't agree with you getting involved with a witch Sam - "
"No, that's true. But we're unlikely to get killed for it. Frowned upon I can handle." he replied simply.
Sam felt Brandy lean against the window. His mood was back on the rise. She made him feel so unbelievably good. Like nothing could touch him. Nothing could knock him off this cloud he was on.
"So.. tell me Sam.. now that you told me you couldn't carry on with me until you told me your secret.. does that mean, we can carry on now that I know?"
Sam smiled broadly, looking down into her eyes. "I'm just not sure." he teased her with a wicked glint in his blue eyes. He raised one hand up against the wall, so as not to put his full weight onto Brandy then leant in to kiss her again. Fully and completely committing himself, there was nothing to hold him back now. His lips wandered down her neck and back up the other side and back to her lips. He pulled softly away and grinned "Yeah I'd say we can."

"I'm just not sure.""
She was ready to pout, but the tone of his voice told her that he was just teasing her. She felt one hand rest against the wall so that he wasn't crushing her underneath him - but she didn't care, he could of crushed her if he wanted. She just wanted to feel him against her.
His lips met her's again, and she melted into the kiss. Her body sank against the window and she struggled to stand when he pulled away. A gasp left her lips when his own lips kissed at the nape of her neck - a hot spot of her's that made her want to crumble into his grasp.
She was feeling weak, dazed, but so so aroused as his lips drew upward and against her's again.
"Yeah I'd say we can."
D@mn, she would rip her dress from what she was going to do next. A hunger for him was crawling over her quickly and she pushed away from the window to press her lips against his hungerily. Her slender digits reached to tossle soft tendrils of his hair around them and she jumped up, ripping the bottom of her dress so that she could wrap her smooth legs around his waist.
She wasn't even thinking if he could carry her to the bedroom or not, hell - even the floor or the couch would serve its purpose. She wanted to consume him, in a way their two souls could never come back from. She just wanted every inch of him to be a part of her.

Brandy pushed against him, moving from the window. Sam was finding it dam difficult not to sling her over his shoulder and throw her onto his bed. Even if he was serious with himself, he'd not have had a chance to as she leaped up into his arms, her dress tearing as she wrapped her legs around his waist tightly. Oh yeah, making it real difficult.
Sam grasped her legs, his lips never moving from hers. Was this really happening? Now. Here. He didn't care, it felt right. He felt happy and intensely aroused. He couldn't stop this. Unless she told him to stop, which he hoped wouldn't happen.
Sam stumbled backwards, somehow managing to keep his grip on Brandy's long legs. They both fell to the sofa with a thump and Sam prised himself away from her. "Are you absolutely sure you want to do this?" he asked her breathlessly, he knew the answer already. But he had to say it aloud, it was more respectful.

- * * - 4:30am - * * -
d@mn, did that wolf ever slow him down - but the fight was ever-so-invigorating. His blood, for lack of a better word, was pumping through his vampire veins and each one of senses was alive and alert. What a feeling! How it consumed him and awakened him!
Hmm. Her scent lingered in the air, it was faint but the veil was down just enough for him to follow. He knew that dawn was not long away but he could not resist following this to the end. Even if it meant the end of him. No, he needed to at least see her.
He was afraid that if he went too fast he would miss it, and how curious as he walked down the road that the veil seemed to become clearer and clearer. Like a fog was lifting when he approached a curious sign looming against the dark sky.
"Merlotte's Bar and Grill..."
Something seemed oddly familiar about that sign, like he had seen it before. Strange, what a connection to this place - what an odd atmosphere. He glanced toward an odd light coming from the back of the building. Interested, he walked toward it.
Brandy's car. He recognized it anywhere, and there it was in the front of a trailer. The fog, the strange fog was completely lifted around the trailer, Derek could feel his anger seeping through his veins.
He loomed toward the trailer, specifically toward the back of it where the windows seemed covered in moisture. He wasn't sure if he was seeing what he thought he was seeing - until his hand wiped away the moisture to look through the cloudy-glass.
All he could do was stare at the couple, not moving a muscle, just staring at the couple both naked on the bed. He saw the back side of the man, and he saw his beloved underneath him, he was f*cking her. He. Was. F*cking her. That. F*cking B!tch.
Anger was irrelevant. No, he didn't even feel anger anymore - this was pure hatred. Pure jealously. He wanted to storm into that trailer, he wanted to go through that window and tear them both to shreds. He wanted to devour their flesh and eat her f!cking heart.
But he forced himself to turn away. He wanted to hurt Brandy, he didn't want to kill her. She had hurt him, so much more now for being in the arms of another man when she was suppose to be with him. No, he knew what he had to do.
He would take the man away from her. But in a way that she could never come back from. She would be so lost, so sad and heart broken that she would come running back to him. Then he would turn her. Then she would love him. Then he could forgive her for being so foolish.
Maybe.
This man, this dirty-blond haired man - whoever he was, wouldn't even matter anymore. She was meant for Derek, not for whoever this 'trailer trash' was. Derek snarled underneath his breath, tempted to bust her mirror in but knowing that could potentially give his presence away.
Tomorrow night, his precious was going to lose everything. And she would be his again. Everything was going to be alright with the world, Derek would see to it.
