The way she had tossed her hair, Brandy tilted her head curiously. It was the way an animal would, but Brandy didn't want to make any accusations. She was good like that.
"You have a nice name too. It suits you as well."
BB suited her? She hadn't really thought about it. People just got used to calling her that now, even those who knew her 'real' name. The only one that called her Brandy the most was Sam, and lately he had been slipping by calling her cute pet names. It was nice, and she had no complaints.
"Well thank you very much, Thorn. I try ~"
Try to <what> exactly, she wasn't really sure.
"A black wolf? Around here? Usually they're all up north unless we have werewolves around here as well."
Huh? This girl knew of werewolves? Which meant she knew of the super natural - and not just the vampires. Or maybe she was just like one of those people who assumed that because vampires existed, all the other things in the supernatural world had to as well.
"I don't think this was a werewolf. Far too.. gentle of an essence around it to be a were. Not a regular wolf, though, I am still quite intrigued."

Reading BB's facial expression, Thorn knew she was curious but wouldn't pry, that was a bit relieving. She rested her arms against her sides and her black hair touched her shoulders again. "You're doing a good job." She said, smiling. But then BB looked confused, probably wondering how she knew of werewolves. Well I'm just getting myself into a state. She thought regrettably, making her face unreadable again. "Oh, well that's odd." She said carefully, shrugging her shoulders for effect. "I read wolves are shy animals and they are more afraid of you then we are of them. They don't act like the aggressive ones you see in the movies. Is that how she...or he...was acting? Shy like?" Thorn would've said a smart fact about coyotes too seeing as how that was her main animal form but she didn't want to seem like a know-it-all or suspicious for that matter.

"I read wolves are shy animals and they are more afraid of you then we are of them. They don't act like the aggressive ones you see in the movies. Is that how she...or he...was acting? Shy like?"
Shy like? No, he (or she) was acting very 'human' like. She couldn't just come right out and say that. She had to think of another way to uh.. 'word' it.
"Not really shy like. More like, those kind of animals that somehow understand you."
Yes.. that was a good way to put it. Brandy sighed and undid her cloak, hanging it over her arm casually. It was weird, she kept on going from hot to cold that night as if something strange was in the air.
"Maybe a shape-shifter"
She paused, turning to look at Thorn. The woman might not of known was a shape-shifter was anyway. She hoped the woman wouldn't be asking her to explain what a shape shifter was - if she had read about were's, she must of read of shape shifters.

Smooth, Thorn. Her conscience told her but she ignored it, and put on a smile. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "Yeah, maybe it was a shape-shifter. Do you know if there are any around here?" She asked the question in a simple tone but with a hint of curiosity. She knew that shape-shifters were still in the dark, so to speak. But, she didn't know whether or not that meant BB knew any shifters around here. If she does, then hopefully I'll get to meet them. If she doesn't, then oh well. Coming back to reality, Thorn watched as BB adjusted her cloak. She then looked down at her own outfit, which was black jeans and a white t-shirt with a black long sleeved shirt underneath.

"Yeah, maybe it was a shape-shifter. Do you know if there are any around here?"
"No."
It was strong, straight to the point and simple. She wanted the conversation ended right there. The easiest way to do that? Change the subject yourself.
"Besides, even if there were, everyone is far too focused on the vampires."
Fangbangers, the fellowship, fanghaters - her ex boyfriend. Yes, everything was dearly coming out vampire! Not that Brandy minded - she had other things she wished to protect.
"Have you met one yet? A vampire that is?"
She had looked at her company curiously.

She raised her eyebrows, getting the point. "Oh, alright." She said simply again. But, BB's short answer made her curious, her response had been short and simple. Odd She thought to herself, but then pushed the thought in the back of her mind. Shrugging her shoulders mentally, she once more turned her attention to their conversation. She laughed and then nodded her head. "You got that right." She laughed again and scratched her eyebrow. "No, I have not met one, for now anyway." She said, putting her hands in her pockets, a sign that she was at ease. "Have you?"

"No, I have not met one, for now anyway. Have you?"
Brandy had turned to Thorn, nodding in response to her question.
"I purposely went and sought one out. Call it.. curiosity. I met a very powerful one, the queen of Fangtasia no doubt. Called herself Pam."
Pam was an extraordinary creature, if you wanted to meet your first vampire - it probably should be her. At least, Brandy thought so.
"The other one is Jessica. She is a younger vampire, very nice girl. Pam well.. you wouldn't want to cross her. There is also the matter of my ex boyfriend.. an entirely different breed. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't one before - he used to be a witch. But that is another story."
She didn't even want to think about Derek.
"Very much a case of everyone being different. Just because you have met one, does not mean you have met them all. Much like humanity. You get the good, you get the bad, and then you get the pure insane."

She raised her eyebrows, with an impressed expression her face at BB's descriptions of the two Vampires she met. "Fangtasia?" She asked, her expression changing to slightly amused. "What is that?" She smirked. After listening to the rest of BB's answers, Thorn asked, "Supes are able to do that? Change from thing to another?" She had never heard of this before and that one sentence gave her a one way ticket back to seriousness. So this guy...this Derek was once a witch but now a Vampire? That was definitely unnatural.

"Fangtasia? What is that?"
Oh. The girl didn't know about Fangtasia? Well, that was simple enough to explain.
"A vampire bar located in the next town of Shreveport. Vampires and humans frequent there - it is like the Merlotte's bar for the vampire crowd."
What an odd feeling in the air, did it have something to do with this girl she was with? No, it didn't, it was something else and it was bothering Brandy to no end. Like an itch she couldn't scratch. She felt she should be back with Sam, not here. It was a gut feeling but it was conflicting with another influence that was telling her to stay away.
What the hell? Seriously.
, "Supes are able to do that? Change from thing to another?"
"Not normally. But I guess, it wouldn't be so hard for a witch to change into a vampire after all. If the vampire who turned them thought they were worthy enough. Usually it isn't a issue, because witches and vampires tend not to hang out in the same crowds. But I guess Derek found the one vampire that would. He was hard to fight as a witch, now fighting him as a vampire is just on a whole different level"
Oh. She was pulling Thorn into her life without even realizing it. No use troubling the girl with things that didn't concern her - nor did they probably interest her. Brandy waved it away as if she had just been talking about the weather.
"It's no matter, just more drama for my life"

"Oh, er, nice name." She said awkwardly, still in her serious tone. No wonder, I haven't heard of it. Ha... She smirked again at herself and then saw the discomfort in BB's expression. But before she could say anything, BB spoke first. "Wow." She said finally, at a loss for words. "That's, that's pretty...interesting." She let that topic go and looked up at the sky, it was getting darker and darker. "We all need a little drama in our life, well once in a while." She said mysteriously, looking from the sky back to BB.

"We all need a little drama in our life, well once in a while."
Brandy laughed slightly. Once in awhile? It was ongoing for this young witch. But that was the kind of life that seemed to follow residences of Bon Temps. She was certain that this girl would be experiencing her own share of drama soon enough.
"I guess so, life would get pretty dull and then where would we be?"
Probably stuck at home, flipping through romance channels and complaining about how much your life sucked.
Not the life for Brandy. No thanks.
"It would seem I talk way too much for my own good, why not tell me a bit about yourself?"

Thorn laughed along with her, a sign she was growing more and more comfortable with BB. "We'd be, well I don't know actually" She admitted. "I guess just regular walking talking people." She smiled, another sign that she was becoming comfortable with BB. Not comfortable enough, however, to call BB her friend just yet. "Myself? Let's see, I was born on July 13th in Massachusetts. I spent my entire life there until I graduated high school. I then traveled to three European countries and saw amazing places. Actually, I'm supposed to be back in Massachusetts now. But the airport I use is not open to the public right now so I'm stuck here for a good month." Thorn didn't use very detailed details, instead she was vague and simple.

Brandy blinked, a couple of times. Thorn pretty much summed up her whole life, or at least what she wanted <her> to know about it, in a paragraph.
She supposed that could be done for anybody. She laughed at the thought.
"Welcome, I guess all that is left for me to say is welcome to Bon Temps. Hope you enjoy your stay and all that. Truth is, however, I have to start heading back home"
Home meaning she had to start heading back to Sam. Something just wasn't right.
"I'm usually around Merlotte's bar, so if you frequent there you will probably see me around. It was very nice to meet you.. Thorn"
Brandy smiled warmly, a woman and a wolf in one night? Very interesting indeed.

"Thank you." She said and smiled again. She looked up at the sky again. "Yeah, I should too. Or what I call my home." She said, looking back down to BB. The truth was Thorn didn't have a hotel room, a house or an apartment because she decide to reside in the woods in her coyote form or in her car on cold nights, such as this. She still had the smile on her face and said, "Yeah, you'll probably see me around there or anywhere in Bon Temps for the time being. It was nice to meet you too, BB."
