The black wolf emerged from the forest that surrounded Renard Parish Road. She had just left her clothes in her secret hiding place you could say and decided to explore this place in animal form. No, she was not just an animal. She was a shape-shifter by the name of Thorn. Thorn's usual form was coyote but tonight she wanted a change, something she did quite often. Tonight she decided to become a jet black wolf, one of her three favorite forms. The wolf's paws padded along the road, her head high in the air and her nose alert. Hundreds of smells drifted into her nostrils, humans, Vampires and...what was this? something else. It seemed that Bon Temps wasn't home to just Vampires and shape-shifters. More supes lived here evidently and Thorn decided she would found out what.
Breaking into a run, the wolf tried to find the source of the scent. She was led this way and that way until finally her tongue was hanging out of her mouth panting. She stopped and sat down on her haunches pausing for a rest. With her tongue still out, the wolf scanned the area around here that was unfamiliar territory for right now anyway. Once she caught her breath, the wolf stood back up and raised her head. She howled, her mouth forming in a perfect half moon circle. Her eyes closed and she stood there for another minute before lowering her head back down, waiting for an answer.

Brandy was out that night, she was taking a stroll to no where in particular. The air was fresh, and the stars were clear in the sky. A sigh left her full lips as her feet kicked up dust down the unpaved road back to town. She didn't plan on walking out this far, and a howl to the moon had distracted her.
Something sounded a little.. off. She scoffed at herself, scolding herself for being frightened and decided to continue on her walk. A breeze had picked up, causing her to pull her red cloak tighter around her slender figure.
Little red riding hood. She smirked at the thought. At least she could clear her head out there, so close to the forest..

[[When I read "out that night" the song 'Out Tonight' from Rent came into my head. Ironic cause your pb played Mimi. ^_^]]
The wolf's head snapped in the direction of the scoff. She wasn't alone. The approaching mortal's, a woman from what she could smell, scent filled the wolf's nostrils. She wasn't just mortal, her senses told her. Vampire? Witch? Some other supe? Grumbling slightly, she walked forward towards the sound but then refrained and stood where she was. When it came to new people, Thorn was shy even in her other forms. The same breeze ruffled through her fur but she stood still, unfazed by the sudden change of weather. She saw a sudden flash of red in the distance and then growled. What could that mean? Baring her teeth slightly, the wolf stayed still waiting for the woman to come closer.

Well it wasn't like she was looking for trouble that night. It seemed to find her however, as she found herself staring at a black wolf right in the eyes. Something was off about its energy though, but she didn't think it was Summer. Summer wouldn't of been staring her down the way this creature was.
And it's teeth were bared, never a good sign. Should she run? Cast a spell? She didn't know if this creature wanted to eat her or not.
"Good puppy..."
She took a step back, rolling her tongue over her lips nervously. Where was her protector when she needed him?
"There is no way your just a regular old wolf.. your energy is all off. I mean no harm, but if you don't state your business I may be forced to cast a spell to keep you at bay."
A friendly warning she hoped she wouldn't have to follow through with. The wolf could obviously out run her, if it so wanted. Lucky for her, her magic had grown since and she could probably come up with a spell quick enough.

The wolf made a noise that would've sounded like a snort and a laugh if she were human. There was no way she was a puppy, she was a grown ass woman for crying out loud. But how would this woman, this witch know that? Soon realizing she couldn't expose herself, Thorn had no idea what to do. It's not like she could talk in English or something while she was an animal, well that was a no brainer. Finally settling on what to do, the wolf sat back down on her haunches and her lips folded back over her teeth showing that she no longer felt threatened by the witch's presence. She also showed that she did not feel like being put under some witch's spell.

Hmm. Maybe not a werewolf. But the wolf had heard her, she could tell by the way it's ears had twitched and it sat down while no longer bearing it's teeth toward her.
"That's better. I am assuming you can't talk? But you can understand me? You would already be attacking I'm sure if you were a werewolf. So I might as well talk to you. I don't expect you to answer"
Brandy had took off her cloak, and placed it at her feet. It was getting warm anyway, she would have to wrap it around her waist for the walk home.
"My name is BB, I live in Bon Temps and I am a witch. You probably didn't mean to tell you. Still, I wonder, what a beautiful creature like you is doing out here anyway - and passing the time with a witch?"

The wolf was completely lost at how...BB, was it?...BB talked to her like she was a human. Well of course Thorn was a human but BB didn't know that. She wanted to shift back and talk to this girl face to face but she knew she couldn't. She couldn't risk exposing herself just yet. Staying where she was, the wolf made a bark that would've said, "Thanks for the compliment." The wolf's eyes followed BB as she put down her red cloak then straightened back up. Her ears were still perked up and she stood up, putting her weight on her legs assuming the curious position.

The truth was, Brandy had no idea what this creature was - just that it wasn't a 'wolf'. She wouldn't of known quite so well, if it hadn't been for Summer 'accidentally' changing in front of her. Her @ss still hurt from that little experience (an inside joke).
The wolf had barked at her, and she tilted her head curiously. What an interesting creature indeed. Brandy rose to her feet, brushing off her knees as she wrapped her cape back around her body. It was a short, fleeting visit but Brandy could almost feel like she was going to run into the creature again.
"Whatever you are, you should come to Merlotte's some time. I'll buy you a drink"
She had already started to walk her separate way, she knew how silly she would look just talking to an animal all night.

The wolf raised herself from the curious position and sat back down. She yawned and then stretched her legs, her eyes still on BB. Thanks to BB, she learned that not all witches were evil. With that in mind, the wolf barked again and stood up. She watched as BB began to walk away, not exactly feeling as though they were done with their conversation yet. So, the wolf turned around and bounded off into the night.
She soon reached the forest and ran inside, her eyes focused. She soon found her clothes and shifted back to human.
Thorn stretched her arms and pulled on her clothes. "Crap, I wonder if she's still there." She said to herself and began to walk out of the forest while pulling on her sneakers in the process.

Brandy hadn't made it far, she was walking a slow pace to enjoy the cool air of the night. Doing a round about' she thought, wondering if she would run into another wolf or if she would run into Jessica. Jessica had been a vampire she meant a couple nights ago, in front of the library as she was dropping off a book.
She learned that Jessica was a young vampire, that she drank True Blood and she had a boyfriend named Hoyt. Oh, and that her maker was Bill Compton - a vampire she hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet.
Not all vampire meetings were pleasurable, and she stopped walking when she heard footsteps close to her. Quietly she turned to look over her shoulder, wondering who she would see.

Thorn was slightly relieved to see that BB was still there, she wanted to continue their conversation but from a new perspective of course. She approached BB in a different manner then she did as a wolf. "Hi." She said simply, "fancy meeting you here at this time of night." She wasn't as shy as she would've been if she was actually seeing BB for the first time right now but nonetheless acted as if it were pure coincidence she and BB were in the middle of Renard Parish Road together.

"Hi."
Oh, the voice came from a woman. Brandy was surprised to see the new face around here, she hadn't seen the woman at all in Bon Temps. Brandy spent most of her time at Merlotte's, where everyone seemed to flock to at one point. This was how she knew so many people.
"Uh.. hello --"
"fancy meeting you here at this time of night."
This woman, whoever she was, was acting like they had already met. Brandy could see it in her body language, but not want to seem unusually weird to the stranger she decided not to say anything.
"It's not a usual habit of mine, I promise. Just.. a lot of things going on in my life lately that it seemed like a good idea to clear my head a bit. I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?"
Brandy felt inclined to introduce herself -
"I'm BB, and you would be... ?"

Thorn gave an awkward smile and gave a little wave. "No need to promise." She laughed. "I think we have a lot in common already, starting with the fact that we both like to wander around at night." She laughed again. "Oh, I'm Thorn." She said simply, her shy side coming out. "Nice to meet you...BB. Does it stand for something?"

"No need to promise. I think we have a lot in common already, starting with the fact that we both like to wander around at night."
Brandy couldn't help but to chuckle at that, tucking a loose few strands of thick brown hair behind her ear as she did so. Wandering the night wasn't usually common for her, she would much rather be curled up next to her favorite shape-shifter...
"It's ... refreshing. No people to deal with, you can just be yourself with no restrictions of the day. I enjoy it."
"Oh, I'm Thorn."
"Thorn? That's very pretty. Exotic, and unique - it suits you"
Hey, there was nothing wrong with paying another woman a compliment. Especially when the woman already had something in common with you.
"Nice to meet you...BB. Does it stand for something?"
"Uh, yeah actually.. my full name is Brandy Berry. I just like the sound of BB, I'm a little odd - "
Brandy had to laugh at herself for that comment, it wasn't far from the truth at all!
"You um.. didn't perhaps see a pretty black wolf around did you? It was hanging around the forest.. quite an unusual creature indeed"

Thorn's own black hair had been resting on her shoulders, not styled or teased. She ran her hands through it and gave it a shake, like a wolf would shake her fur after laying down for quite sometime. Realizing what she just did, Thorn panicked. f**k, did I just do that? Oh well, maybe she didn't see. Shrugging the thought off, Thorn focused her attention back to their conversation. "Yeah, definitely." She said simply again but then she smiled at BB's compliment. "Thanks, I was hoping for the exotic and unique part." She laughed. "You have a nice name too. It suits you as well." She gave a nice smile and then got serious. "A black wolf? Around here? Usually they're all up north unless we have werewolves around here as well." She made her face unreadable when she said this
