"Excuse me, are you Eric? I was hoping that you would be able to help me with a problem?"
"You do not address me as Eric. I am not that to you. You will show me the proper respect or we will not communicate," Eric said with a hiss to a brunette woman who had approached him. He was so sick of this lack of respect; people thinking they could just waltz in and get something from him, but as of now, that wasn't going to happen.
"Try again and we'll see what happens then," Eric snarled and sat down again, giving the woman another chance to make a good impression. He was tired, cranky and hungry and was in no mood for this.

For the second time this evening Rylan's mouth dropped. Was this guy for real? From the way he scowled apparently yes. "I am sorry, I had no idea there was something you would rather be called."
Since he was sitting in a rather elaborate chair that looked like a thrown, Rylan decided for the first time in her life to kneel before a man. "Please your greatness, I seek from you a favor. I hope that you can grant me a moment of your time, if you can spare any I would be forever in your debt."
Rylan looked down at his feet never making eye contact. She knew that you never looked the leader in the eye unless spoken to, sometimes not even then. All she could do now was wait and see if anything was to come from this.

"You can address me as sheriff, especially if you are looking for a favour. I do not know you and until I do, I will be sheriff Northman to you. Respect might not be common these days; but as long as I am in my own bar, I command it," Eric said, sitting back in his chair, letting the meaning of his words sink in. Maybe had been too harsh on the young woman, but he was tired of being disrespected wherever he went.
He relaxed on his chair, motioning to a waitress to deliver a Tru Blood to him. It had been too long since he had last fed.
"So, what do you need? How can I be of assistance?" He asked intriqued by the anxiety and worry in the woman's voice. It must be something big.

Rylan stood up, still with her head down looking at her shoes. "The other night I was chased by some members of the Fellowship...I ended up in the care of Pam. I am looking for my brother and my sister that I was supposed to be meeting here."
She looked up with heavy lidded eyes. "I have heard sheriff that nothing goes on in your area with out you knowing about it and I was wondering if you had heard of a male and female were passing through here recently." Rylan wasn't good with this political bullshxt and it was taking her nails embedding into her hand from saying how she really felt.

"I'm afraid I have no idea what you are talking about. Is this something you have arranged with Pam? I have no knowledge of the whereabouts of your siblings," Eric lied smoothly. He didn't know what Pam had told this woman as she had not repeated it to him. As long as he knew why she was here, mum was the word.
"You are correct, usually nothing gets past me. I pride myself on being fullu aware of everything that goes on in my territory. There are a lot of werewolves roaming Shreveport, Ms....I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." Eric said his voice as smooth as butter. He wasn't going to be caught admitting to his knowledge about this woman's brother and sister.
"I do apologize for you making a trip here for nothing. Do you care for something to drink?" He asked while motioning to the waitress to come to him. He ordered a Tru Blood for himself and waited for the woman to order as well.

Rylan was on the verge of being irate. He obviously thought she was stupid from his patronizing tone. "I don't see why I should tell you my name since you obviously have no intention of helping me. As for the drink, I will pass. I don't want anything else from you people."
Rylan started to walk off. "Oh by the way tell Pam thanks for the dress."

Pam felt the presence of Rylan coming in the bar and making her way to Eric. She also felt Eric's near violent reaction to something the were animal said to her maker. This made Pam very interested and decided that Jessica would be fine for now.
As Pam came out of the office she noticed Rylan's gorgeous ensemble. This sent Pam over the edge because she recognized her out fit from the inventory of her new clothing store. Anita was never going to hear the end of this!
"Excuse me puppy are you lost? You certainly don't belong here and I am surprised to think you would think anyone here cares for anything you have to say. The only thing I want to hear coming from your mouth is...well actually I would like to hear silence coming from your lips if that was possible. I need nothing from you except the debt that you owe me and that has apparently increased since you decided to do a little shopping I see."
Pam looked at Eric. "I apologize my master. She was the girl Jessica and I rescued from the FOTS. I didn't realize she was a shifter until after I brought her home. You know how it is with all the blood pumping. I brought her to the hotel and while she was sleeping I was able to smell that she was different...after she woke up I asked if she was affiliated with the vampire slayers. When she implied that they were chasing her because they saw her shift."
Pam crossed her arms and leaned back slightly. "Her name is Rylan Harris, her brother and sister are named Vaughn and Delaney. She was supposed to be meeting them at the hotel and some how they were separated."
Pam turned her head back to Eric and spoke to him in their language. "Iam assuming that the girl is related to the one trapped in the basement. He attacked me as I took her out of the car...maybe we should release him. He is a puppy after all. What more do we need with him?"

"As you wish. I do apologize for not being able to provide you with my assitance," Eric said, continuing to play innocent. He was not quite yet ready to revel his hand to this woman.
As she was about to storm off in fury, Pam made her way through the crowd and joined them. She obviously appeared to know this creature and he was intriqued when she provided an explanation as to why this girl was here.
"I see. Fellowship has started to target shifters as well. Good to know that they are expanding their hatred." Eric joked, feeling oddly relieved that the church was starting to show it's true colors more and more. They were a problem that needed to handled, discreetly of course as that had been Godric's wish.
Are you going soft in your old age Pam? I quite like the idea to train the dogs so they will learn when to bark and when not to. I say keep them in the basement for a little bit longer, He said in Swedish with a malicious smile playing on his lips. Nothing like a couple weeks in the basement to make a dog obediant.

"Look cat, if you tell me why you attacked...the older Vampire lady...then I will let you go."
Vaughn didn't trust this vampire but he had enough control to be able to shift back at a moments notice so just talking, which was what he had wanted to do all along, wouldn't be unreasonable for him.
As Vaughn shifted back, he realized that he would be completely naked since the sack they had covered him in would have been torn to shreds. He had been caught in worse situations than this so his nudity didn't bother him...he just didn't want to be bitten again. He was a morsel if he did say so himself.
"Listen, I can do this fighting thing all day and night but I don't want to. The only reason that I tried to 'attack' that vampire was because she had my sister. I have risked everything for my family and to have some vampire take her and do who knows what to her...it makes me a little crazy." Vaughn took several steps back from the vamp. "I don't want anymore trouble, I just want my sister."

As soon as he shifted back, Jessica wished she hadn't asked/told him to do it. Holding up her hand, she looked away and made a very disgusted face. But then her ears "perked up" once he began talking. "Listen, buddy." She said, cutting him off and finally realizing that his sister had been the girl she and Pam had rescued from that crazy group of men a few nights ago. "She saved your sisters life from a bunch of di.ckheaded freaks." Her fangs came out again and she slowly lowered her hand. "So, a simple 'Thank you' would've done the trick."

Vaughn frowned. "You know, you are quite the sassy lady. First of all, not that it is any of your business but I was traveling alone not with Rylan." No point in divulging about Delaney now or ever. "So I didn't know she had been attacked by anyone. I was supposed to meet her 3 days ago at the Living Dead Hotel. She never showed. Her cell phone was off and I was worried."
Vaughn looked around and saw someone's legs sticking out of the corner. He panicked at first but when he calmed down the scent he had was a males and no where close to Rylan's. Vaughn cleared his throat. "I had been searching the woods for her when I picked up a faint trail of her scent. That is when I ended up in this place's parking lot and I saw the older vampire lady handling Rylan." This wasn't going to be easy trying to escape out of here.
"I am not sure I can thank anyone for smashing something upside my head and keeping me prisoner here. Also, if I didn't know what had happened to Rylan, why would I think a vampire would help a shifter. To my knowledge we are big fans of the other, though to be clear I hold no ill will towards any of you, except maybe the one who rendered me unconscious."

Her eyebrows furrowed at the new adjective he had called her. "Again, a simple 'thank you' would do the trick." She retorted, rolling her eyes and folding her arms across her chest. She spotted the legs sticking out just as he had and one of her eyebrows rose. Eww... She thought to herself. "That older Vampire lady had just saved her life." She repeated. "So, you hurt the older Vampire lady instead of just asking for your sister back nicely? God, f**king mortals these days." She muttered the last part but had a feeling he'd hear it anyhow. "Umm, okay?" She had no idea what he was talking about. "Well, I'm not the one who rendered you unconscious."

Pam looked down with shame. Her master had asked, "Are you going soft in your old age Pam? I quite like the idea to train the dogs so they will learn when to bark and when not to. I say keep them in the basement for a little bit longer."
She turned towards Eric. "I am sorry my master, I don't know what I was thinking...perhaps I am too influenced by the telepath in Bon Temps. What would you like me to do with the girl?
While waiting for his response she tried to listen to the happenings downstairs. Hopefully Jessica had it under control.

"Yes, she tends to fill everyones mind." Eric stated referring to Sookie. He looked back over at Rylan. "Keep an eye on her, a close one. Anything she does I want to know about. Make sure she stays out of the basement. I would hate for something annoying to happen because she found out her brother was down there."
Eric smiled at the shifter. "Pam was just mentioning to me that maybe the shifters in Shreveport would be of some help to you. It would be wise to make yourself known to them. Try young Alcide Herveaux. He likes to be generous with the ladies."
He nodded at Pam to indicate he was done. "Do be a stranger...don't take this the wrong way but the smell of wet dog seems to be bad for business." Eric smirked at the shifter. "It's a shame too, you really are quite lovely to look at."

Pam nodded at his words and directed her self at Rylan. "Eric is finished with you now. Come this way to the bar." Once Pam had made it over to the bar she began to speak. "Since Eric is feeling generous this evening I will allow you to continue to stay in the room that was rented for you. As payment for the dress I will give you a job. Once the payment has been made if you so choose you can keep the job to earn extra money since you are a stranger to the area."
Pam looked back at Chow who immediately sent over a warmed True Blood. "I can't express how angry I am for your disregard for our ways in Shreveport. It is one thing for you to behave however you like where you come from because you have a claim to that territory, it is a completely different situation to do so here."
Pam frowned. She always stuck to the rules and never disobeyed an order. The vampire looked directly into Rylan's eyes. "I am surprised that Eric wasn't more harsh with you but it is his wish to keep things low profile which means no killing or maiming." She rolled her eyes again as she took a sip of True Blood. "If you decide to go from the room or not take the job after you make the payments please notify me via the front desk. As we are on different sleep schedules and I have other things to worry about, I won't constantly be around. If you do not keep to our ways, there will be a harsh surprise in store for you. I will send over a portfolio of the vamps in the area you need to be aware of and not make any contact with, plus a set of the rules. It will be thorough and detailed but if you have any questions again contact the front desk."
She looked at the clock again. Pam should be going down to check on Jessica soon since she hadn't heard anything for awhile. It would be annoying if the dog was dead. "Any questions or concerns, not that I really care."
