There were many many things that were going through Sophie-Ann's Mind. The first thing that was on her mind was that her new pet was about to leave her on a trip. This was appalling in Sophie's opinion because when she started working for her she was to actually make the Queen her priority. She was supposed to be the one that was actually changing her schedule to suit the Queen. It was not the other way around and Brandy was going to have to learn that.
Matt was the other thing that was on her mind. He was obviously getting very protective very quickly with this little Witch. She had to be something very special, and Matty being the good little assistant he was, realized that and wanted to make sure that she remained of use to the Queen. The only thing that bothered her about that was who was going to help her pick out her attire?
The Queen was disappointed in the fact that everyone was just wanting to up and leave her and she was tempted to go with them on a little adventure to Dallas but with Sookie Stackhouse, Eric Northman, and Bill Compton in the immediate area Sophie was sure to have plenty to do.
The Queen wiped the smile off her face and simply stared at Brandy to let her know how Serious it was that she was thinking of herself instead of The Queen. Sophie then looked over at Matt and squinted her eyes at him, yet she kept the expressionless look on her face. It was a look of 'don't encourage her' not a look of 'shut the H3LL up!' The Queen was ready to speak and she looked back at Brandy to address her first.
"Brandy Dear you do realize who you are working for correct?" She didn't wait for a pause she simply continued on. "I am the Queen of Louisiana and I have many Enemies. Going to another state will most likely endanger you more than you will ever know." The Queen then pursed her lips and then she continued to speak. "I also want you to know that since you work for me the Queen you are now at my beck and call unless you are off, and then you are free to do what ever. Any normal King or Queen in this position right now would tell you to forget it, and tell you to leave, but Brandy Dear I think we can build a wonderful relationship together."
The Queen was laying on the kindness thick at this point knowing that in the past if you scold someone you must end the conversation on a positive not so they will still remain willingly loyal. "Brandy I just want you to know that this time on your trip to Dallas I realize that you had this planned before you met me and I will not expect you to drop your plans. The next time however, you are going to have to let someone know well in advance so that I will be able to be prepared. I will also be desperately concerned for your safety so I will send Matty alone with you to claim you on my behalf. Your trip will need to last the shortest length possible as well as I will need you to at least set up some wards on my home that you will be able to maintain while you are away. Is that clear?"

One thing Brandy had not expected on the night of the full moon, with the trip to Dallas only two sleeps away, was to be under contract with the queen of Louisiana. While this opened a whole bunch of doors of opportunity for her, it also closed a whole bunch of ones. There was so much mulling in her mind that she was sure a lot of drinking after this was going to be in order.
The mention of her trip to Dallas, though it was necessary to let the queen know, had brought two different reactions to the vampires in front of her. Matt was worried she would end up damaged goods and wanted to go with her - maybe the whole Anubis Air and vampire hotel was fate's way of foreshadowing this little mess?
And the queen. Oh, the queen did not look impressed at all. It wasn't as if Brandy planned this all on purpose, there was no way she could of predicted such a feat. On the other hand, Brandy never served a queen before - and royalty was used to people catering to them simply because of their title.
"Brandy Dear you do realize who you are working for correct? (Brandy opened her mouth to say something but the queen continued on). I am the Queen of Louisiana and I have many Enemies. Going to another state will most likely endanger you more than you will ever know."
There was that word again. Danger. Was she in danger because she was going to Dallas to look for Damian's girl? Everyone seemed to think Brandy was the one that needed protection. Matt, the Queen, Summer, Damian, Sam... The thought of Sam finding out about all of this.. oh boy.
. "I also want you to know that since you work for me the Queen you are now at my beck and call unless you are off, and then you are free to do what ever. Any normal King or Queen in this position right now would tell you to forget it, and tell you to leave, but Brandy Dear I think we can build a wonderful relationship together."
What would that be like for Brandy? She was used to her freedom, not servitude. She didn't think she could handle being at the Queen's beckon and call at anytime of the day or night. To be pulled away from Sam, or from her friends because the Queen had a sudden itch for a game of twister.
But. Brandy was about to make a deal. Or, in a sense she already had. It seemed the queen's stay might only be a temporary one, Brandy wasn't sure about that. And the queen was who she was, certain things were expected of both her - - and of Brandy.
Brandy swallowed hard, and nodded.
"Crystal clear, your majesty. I will repay you for your kindness and consideration - you have my word on that. Coincidentally, my queen, and as if the fates knew of this predicament even before I did, I already have arrangements to fly Anubis Air and have our stay at the Silent Shore Hotel. I will stay close by Matt during any time he is vulnerable as it is my duty as well to protect him when he can surely not protect himself.
Brandy had glanced at Matt, giving him a reassured nod. There was a lot of trust that needed to be set around the three. The queen and Matt to trust Brandy, and Brandy to trust the queen and Matt. In this aspect, Brandy was not-so naive.
"As far as time, I shall only be gone two nights. And As about the protection spell when I am gone, the three of us I assure you are strong enough to keep the spell a permanent one. Meaning, once it is done - it is done. Every morning, even without us around, the spell will kick in like clock work. I know you are eager to meet the rest of the coven, so I will call them right at this moment my queen"
Well, at this time it was now or never. Brandy bowed her head and walked a little ways from the queen so that the queen would not be bothered by the sound of a cellphone. She didn't know why she was concerned at this point, but she was.
She had called Kimberly first, apologizing first and then asking her to come to Fangtasia because she needed the coven's help for a very powerful protection spell. Kimberly told her that she was on her way, though Brandy did feel bad for pulling her into this.
Next, she called Kyle. Kyle had seemed really eager on the phone and oddly so. It was the possibility of getting stronger that seemed to intrigue her male friend - which was just as well with Brandy.
With that thought in mind, she closed her cellphone - the collie charm reminded her of Sam and she wanted to drink again. Now, with her full attention on the queen and on Matt, she gave the queen a reassuring look.
"My frie.. my coven are on their way, your majesty"
Brandy took the opportunity to sit down again, keeping herself standing was starting to become an issue.

Kyle had been watching TV, feeling pretty bored, so Brandy's phone call, asking him to come to Fangtasia for a group spell was a blessing for him. Something interesting to do! He put on his shoes, already having on a shirt and a pair of jeans, and left the house. The longest part of the trip was the journey to Fangtasia itself. He should really work on some translocation spells...
Anyway, he got there and got through easy enough. Goddess bless glamoured ID's. Presumably, since she was in such a public place, Brandy and the 'Queen' were in a back room or something...but...how does he get there? He got the attention of one of the vampiric guards/doormen. "Ahm, excuse me. I have business with the Queen of Louisianna here tonight. Where do I go?" The vampire guy just gave him a nod and led him to one of the back rooms. Kyle gave him a nod of thanks and, when the guard had left, entered the back room. There was Brandy, and a red head, presumable the queen, and another guy. Whether he was vamp or human Kyle did not know, nor did he care, really.
"Ahm, hi" He said, giving a wave and moving to stand beside Brandy.

Kimberly had been watching a SoapNet marathon on one of her favourite soap characters ever, Brenda Barrett, when Brandy had called. Normally she would not have even answered the phone but it's persistant ringing had convinced it must be something important.
The tone of Brandy's voice had told her it was important and she had begrudgingly put the rest of the marathon on record so she could catch it later. As she had been asked to come to Fangtasia, she couldn't exactly show up in her yellow pajama bottoms and a t-shirt so she quickly changed into a pair of tight white jeans, a black bustier top and black high-heeled sandals. She also brushed her hair and threw a white scarf around her neck before grabbing her keyes.
She was pretty sure she had broken many speeding records while driving her white Mercedes to the vampire bar in Shreveport. When she finally arrived, she found the place to be packed.
She walked into the club and pertaining Brandy's instructions, walked to the bar. "Excuse me, I'm here to see the Vampire Queen of Louisiana. I'm friends with a witch called Brandy." She said to the vampire who nodded and motioned her to follow him. He lead her to a small room which she was told to enter. And she did just that.

Matt looked at the Queen and kept his mouth closed, he knew that she was going to have something to say and while she would try and seem as if she were being diplomatic, it would of course end up working to her benefit. He wished that he could have roomfuls of humans and vampires eating out of the palm of his hand like she did, but that was why she was the Queen and not him. d**n, did that girl have some big britches on her. Matt was envious of the Queen's abilities and knew that he would never have the sort of attitude or respect as she would. That was also because he was rather fond of humans, he saw the purpose of them all and liked their individuality, he only hoped his little fawn would remain somewhat herself while she worked for the Queen and not become like most other humans around vampires.
Matty's eyes glowed with joy when the Queen said that he could go with Brandy, even if Dallas was known for being rough and rugged, no one would mess with him; he was the Queen's leading man! Plus those redneck vampires could use a little bit of Matt in their lives; they were so 1800's and nothing good came from that time frame; except Matty!
When Brandy spoke of protecting him when he was vulnerable, his eyes danced back over to his fawn. It was so cute to see her being protective of him and thinking she could take on anything that came their way in Dallas! He would have to give her a pedi and a mani on their trip and then maybe a little bit of shopping.
At the announcement of the rest of her witch friends coming, Matty kept his eyes on the door. He almost expected some odd looking Harry Potter wannabe's or so emo goth kids to enter; but instead there was a young man and a stunning young lady. Wasn't a witch a female title?
Matty's eyes watched the man in interest. Was he gay? What could he do with that magic wand of his? A small giggle was squelched by Matt's lips as he looked back to the Queen. The male gave a small 'hi,' and Matt knew then that Brandy was the stronger of the two; at least in personality. Well not everyone could be a star like he, the Queen and now Miss Brandy.
"Hello." Matt looked to the man and took a seat next to the Queen as he waited to see what was going to happen and if Brandy was the leader (so to speak) of the coven by her actions and words.

Sophie Ann was sitting in her seat. She was smiling with a smile of satisfaction. If only everyone could rule a state with as much finesse as she did. The Queen was very happy with herself. She was an awesome ruler and she was so happy to have people that were so willing to do what she asked. Sophie was just beginning to realize how smug and full of herself she was becoming when she realized that Brandy was contacting her friends.
The aspect of actually meeting Brandy's friends was very appealing to Sophie. It would give her someone to compare her to as well as see if she should be replaced. It was a hard world and the Queen need the best of the best at her disposal at all times. She waited patiently as the new guests finally arrived.
There were a few things that went through Sophie's mind all at the same time. The first thing was that these new arrivals were not what she would think of when she thought of a witch. The second thing is she wanted to go with them when they did the protection spell. The third and final thing that went through her mind was the fact that this was the perfect number of people to play a nice game of Monopoly.
"Welcome. Please be seated. My name is Sophie Ann Leclerq. I am so pleased that both of you could make it here on such short notice."
Not that it would have mattered if you could be here or not, Matty would have retrieved you for me. Sophie then looked at Brandy as she addressed her.
"Brandy please be a Dear and introduce your friends to me and tell me their qualifications."
Sophie Ann then crossed her legs at her ankles and joined her hands together at the knee. She sat up straight prepared to take in everything that Brandy said and use it to her own greater good in the future.

The nice thing about Kyle and Kimberly is that they were two people she could actually count on. Brandy, herself, had a few scattered acquaintances but her friends (and her lover) were people she valued quickly. Her.. tighter circle, one would say, and if anyone were to judge on her on how long she actually knew these people, well, did time really matter anyway?
No, it didn't, because in exchanged circumstances she hoped each one of them realized she would be there for them in a heartbeat.
Kyle was first to arrive, he had joined Brandy and said his greeting. He seemed.. excited, to be there. He, as well as Kimberly who arrived shortly after, had no idea what they were in for. Hopefully they wouldn't be too mad at her for it.
As far as the coven went, Brandy couldn't of told you who the "Leader" was, or even who the "Strongest" was. Each of the three had something to contribute to the coven but in all honesty, Kyle and Kimberly seemed to have more in common with one another than Brandy had with either of them. And, to add that each one of them had their weaknesses. Brandy thought it to be a well-balanced group.
Both Matt, and the queen, had examined her friends as if Brandy had brought them both to the 'witch pageant of America" - or something along those lines. Brandy couldn't help feeling a little bad for pulling them into this mess, but with her own odd habit of open mouth - ramble - insert foot.. it was inevitable that the coven would of come up in conversation anyway.
"Welcome. Please be seated. My name is Sophie Ann Leclerq. I am so pleased that both of you could make it here on such short notice."
Brandy felt the need to stay standing, as if she was the announcer of sorts and it was appropriate. She hoped, desperately, that nothing would be said or done to anger the queen.
"Brandy please be a Dear and introduce your friends to me and tell me their qualifications."
Brandy probably did look as nervous as she felt. Physically she gulped and shifted in position, placing her hands behind her back and then changing her mind to gently rest them at her sides. How to tell a witches qualifications? Especially ones you knew only well enough to call them your new friends?
"Uh, yes, of course - your majesty. (It still felt a little weird to constantly address Sophie as such.) This is Kyle Summers, and Kimberly Hollingsworth. Kyle, Kimberly this is Sophie-Ann Lecleq, the vampire queen of Louisiana"
Hopefully both of them knew just how big of a deal with was. Brandy did, now, but that was only after she was already knee - deep in hell's water. If Summer could of seen Brandy right now, she would of been just shaking her head.
Now that names were over, it was time for Brandy to discuss 'qualifications'. Part of Brandy was wondering, at that moment, if this was more for the queen's benefit. Was Brandy expected to say who the strongest was? Or the leader? Not to mention she didn't even mention to her friends the exact reason why they were there. Oh well, Brandy might as well say something about their abilities right?
"Kyle specializes more in the elemental side of magic. He can create and manipulate flame, and ice, from what I have seen. He is not afraid to use his spells offensively. Kimberly, as well as myself, tend to concentrate more on the defensive side of magic such as protection spells. As much as they are a part of our coven, your majesty, they are more suited to let you know their own qualifications - as I can only say so much."
After that was done, Brandy took a moment to address her friends - they deserved to know why she called them there.
"The reason why you both are here, is that I have informed the queen of protection spells. I believe the three of us can put up a permanent protection barrier to serve her majesty in the daylight hours. This barrier will deter humans, or anyone with intention to harm the queen, away from this area during her stay. The three of us together are more than powerful to perform this task, and I would like us to put it up. Tonight."
There. Straight to the point. God's alive, could Brandy not wait to get back to Bon Temps and drink her problems away!

Kyle gave the only other male in the room another "Hello," since the man gave him one specifically. Then the Queens started speaking, and she was surprisingly nice, enough. Kyle did as instructed and took a seat, beside Brandy.
He was saved from having to introduce himself, as Brandy proceeded to do that for him, giving them a low down of the magical dynamics of their group. She explained it clearly, and precisely. She failed to mention that Kyle also dabbled in the mental magicks 0 mainly telekinesis and such.
And then she told him, them, why they were here. To put up a daytime barrier for the queen - one that would deter her from harm during the daylight hours... Shouldn't be too difficult if they pooled their power and their knowledge. Tonight...tonight! She could have at least gave him some notice! he would have prepared or...at least made more of an effort or...something... "Ahm...Okay" He said, not against the spellcasting, and kind of feeling like 'no' wasn't an option.
