Rylan's eyes began to flutter open. She had the craziest dream. Rylan and her brother and sister had left the pack. Rylan rolled over and smiled into her pillow, her soft silk citrus scented pillow. Her eyes shot open and she quickly sat up off the bed. "Where the hell am I? Last thing I remember was being chased by the weird red neck guys."
Rylan pushed the sheets off of the bed and began to look around the room. She found a customer service card asking her to rate the service at the Living Dead Hotel...holy shxt! This was where she was supposed to meet Delaney and Vaughn. She looked around to see any other signs of life. There weren't any clothes any where and no one had left her a note.
As she began to worry about her family, Rylan decided to use her animal instincts. She tilted her head up into the air and caught a strange scent. It made her nose wrinkle, it was very unpleasant. Who ever had brought her to her room smelled horrible. Rylan decided to try and see if she could find out what had happened to Delaney and Vaughn.
She moved over to the phone and dialed the operator. "Hi there, my name is Rylan Harris. I was trying to see if you could look for a room of another guest at the hotel? His name is Vaughn Harris...no? Well what about Delaney Harris? Are you sure? Ok thank you for your time."
As Rylan hung up the phone she went from def con 1 to def con 10...this was really bad. Where were they and why didn't they try to get in touch with her? Rylan looked around for her bag and finally found it next to the night stand. Her cell phone still worked, no messages. "Dxmn it, why hasn't he called?" With all the distress she didn't even hear the swipe of the hotel key unlocking her room.

If Pam hadn't been so concerned with training Jessica to be a vampire, which was supposed to be Bill's job, she might have paid more attention to the girl's scent and to the fact the girl was a were.
She wasn't sure if the girl was a true were or if she was a specific type. Pam thought this was the worst waste of a human being that she had ever seen. The girl was exquisite and just Pam's type...however Pam would get to taste her because of this condition.
"Hi there, my name is Rylan Harris. I was trying to see if you could look for a room of another guest at the hotel? His name is Vaughn Harris...no? Well what about Delaney Harris? Are you sure? Ok thank you for your time."
So this "Rylan" was aware of her own mind and was aware of some missing companions. Well sh*t, if Pam didn't try to help the were it could end up starting a war and Eric would be very upset about having to jump through more political hoops. Pam put on her best human face.
"Hello there, I am Pam and I am here to help you. Please do not be frightened." Yeah right, like that ever worked.

"Hello there, I am Pam and I am here to help you. Please do not be frightened."
The initial noise brought a scream from Rylan's lips. "What the h*ll! Jesus, you scared the crap out of me...haven't you ever heard of knocking?"
Rylan looked the woman up and down. She was beautiful and looked lethal...oh poop this woman was a vampire!! The smell hit her and she wrinkled her nose. Oh wow, so that was the smell that was all over the room.
Rylan cleared her throat and tried to force a smile. "I take it you are the one who rescued me from those thugs...I am grateful for your help..." Rylan shook her head "I know I am going to regret this later but is there something I can do to repay you?"

Pam's fangs extended as they typically did when she was angry. "I don't have to knock because this is my suite that I pay for...you are a guest." Pam could tell the were was trying to figure out what she was exactly. When the girls eyes widened slightly Rylan had hit the jackpot. "Bingo you little snit, I am a vampire."
"I take it you are the one who rescued me from those thugs...I am grateful for your help...I know I am going to regret this later but is there something I can do to repay you?"
Pam's mouth curved into a smile. Oh how she loved unpaid debts. They were available for the most convient timing and she knew exactly when to call in her markers. "I am sure we can arrange something at a later time. For now I am simply curious as to why you were being chased by those men. Obviously appearances can be decieving but the members of the Fellowship tend to be slower than most...did you try to steal one of their chickens for dinner?"
Pam was going to be having way to much fun with this little were and there was nothing anyone could do to stop her.

Rylan was literally ready to duke it out with some one...she missed Delaney and Vaughn and had been scared to death that this vampire was going to try and kill her. Instead this woman/thing was making fun of her. That is why she was ready to kill something.
"Listen sister, I don't go around making fun of your kind for being lifeless blood suckers who can't do anything but kill. I will ask you to respect me in the same way...as for those guys, I didn't associate with them, I may have accidentally changed in front of them...that is why they were chasing me. Other than that I try to stay as far away from the wacko's as I can."
Rylan began to pace back and forth. "I have been separated from my family and now I have no idea where they are and if they are ok...so I just want to know one thing...are you keeping me trapped here and I am going to have to try and escape or am I free to leave?" Rylan was really losing her cool

Pam snarled at Rylan. "If it weren't for Eric I would kill you where you stand. Insolent little..." Pam trailed off. The more she commented on Rylan's actions the more worked up she would get.
"I will give respect once it has been earned little dog...as for the rest, I could care less where you go or what you do, I just needed to know if you were involved with the fellowship in any way. Now that I know you are just idiotic you may leave in one piece."
She started to turn and walk out the door but then stopped after remembering a wonderful thought. "I will be calling on you for that favor...this room wasn't cheap you know." With that Pam left the room leaving Rylan to her own devices. Knowing that Eric would be safe from any imminent attacks was good enough for her.

Rylan's mouth dropped a little when she heard Pam's words. This woman was barbaric, she obviously had many bad experiences with were's and shifters.
Her mood elevated when she heard that she wasn't a prisoner. "Oh thank you, I am so grateful... hey wait a minute, I am not idiotic! Maybe a little impatient but not really idiotic..."
Or was she? If she hadn't changed back into her human form she wouldn't even be in this hotel room, she would be with her brother and sister. OK, maybe she was a little idiotic. Rylan would die first before telling this Pam person that though.
Crap, she remembered. Rylan was hoping that the vampire would have forgotten that last little part. "No problem, I will just..." the door closed as Pam left. "be waiting here. Or, maybe I will try to go out and try to find my sister and brother."
Rylan went back over to the phone again. "Hi there, yes, I was wondering if you had a clothing store here in the hotel? You do? Excellent, yes I just spoke to Pam and she specifically said that she would have me killed on Eric's order if I didn't look spectacular at the...yes at the club. You are so smart Anita! No wonder they hired you...oh stop you are too sweet. Yes Pam said to charge everything to her and I am going to need some food to build up my strength...right again Anita! Lots of protein! I will be here waiting."
Rylan hung up the phone smiling. Pam would soon find out how intelligent Rylan could be.
