Kaelyn's eyes had shifted downwards to the floor as she waited and her eyes had gone to tracing the natural waves flowing across the wood paneling. It was oddly...comforting.
As she was following the curve in one particular pattern a pair of black pumps blocked her eyes path.
"Um, darlin', you just gonna stand there all day or are you gonna sit down and order somethin'?"
Kaelyn eyes fluttered for a moment as she forced her eyes up and to concentrate on the woman before her. The fountain of red hair spouting from the top of the waitress' head was the first thing that caught her eye and second was the look of admonishment etched upon her features. A blush of embarrassment lit up her cheeks as she realized how zoned she must've been and she quickly gave a small nod of her head.
"Um, yes, ma'am," Kaelyn stuttered out, "I'd love to know if there was anywhere you would like me to sit in particular..."
Arlene 's lips gave a slight twitch in amusement at the level of the girl's shyness and gave her shoulders a shrug. "You can sit where you'd like. There's plenty of open seats at the bar, if you want any suggestions. By the way, is there anything I can get you, dear?"
"Oh, the bar...that sounds fine," Kaelyn started off towards the seat at the very end before she paused to think of her order, "Um, I wouldn't mind trying your house salad and...maybe some chips and salsa?"
"That sounds just fine. Make yourself comfortable and I'll bring it to you as soon as I can."
Before she could muster up a thank you the redhead was off towards the kitchen and out of sight. Figuring that she'd see the waitress soon enough, Kaelyn continued her beeline for her bar-side seat, sat herself down, and eagerly waited for her hunger pains to soon be a thing of the past.

Damian was still thinking of other things so he didn't notice the knew shifter come in. He sat there and thought about all he did to his only love and she went missing the next day. 'How could I?' he asked himself in the place that no one else would be able to hear. Then yet again his thoughts were gladly interrupted.
"Missing.. really? How long?"
"She went missing last night after leaving her parents house to come visit me for my birthday. She should of been here this morning. And she wasn't." Damian was so upset with himself, Alicia should of called and he would of went and got her. 'Maybe she knew and left' he thought regretfully because Alica wouldn't ever do that.
"The reason I ask is because.. I'm a witch. Maybe I can help you find her"
"Oh please could you. I sensed you that you were. I need all the help I could get." He looked at the shifter who he hoped wasn't getting mad or thinking he was trying to flirt. "The normal issues just piled up with this is hard on someone like me." He was hoping she would finally kinda get it. There were to many humans to like right out and say it. "Alicia is like us too," he nodded towards Summer. "And her getting kidnapped so close to her time of month and what not isn't good." Damian couldn't out right say full moon, shifter and were but he hoped the witch got it.

Summer sat back and was half-listening to Brandy's conversation with Damian. She wasn't intentionally eavesdropping, but every now and then a few random words would filter into her ears. Missing? that made Summer twist her head round to face him. She could sense Brandy was intrigued and eager to learn more and sure enough she whispered to the young Were that she was a witch and she could maybe help him.
Summer looked away as she sensed Sam looming in close. With food hopefully, as her stomach growled. She looked up at him with a smile. He didn't return it. Summer was almost tempted to blow him a raspberry and tell him to lighten up. But she noticed the plate filled over with a really delicious looking burger and fries. "Tell Lafayette Summer said thanks, again." she winked at Sam before starting to tuck into her meal.

Sam's ears were picking up everything Brandy was saying to this strange young Were. His hackles seemed permanently raised and this little conversation wasn't making him feel any more at ease. She told this guy she was a witch all too easily. What was she thinking? He made a move towards the bar and was just about to speak up when he saw Summer smiling up at him. Why was she so f*cking perky?
"Tell Lafayette Summer said thanks, again. she said with a wink.
Sam flustered, as it took him completely off course. "Uh yeah I will. Enjoy." he said eager to get back to Brandy.

Kaelyn's stomach continued to grumble in annoyance from lack of appeasement. Wincing, she ignored it as best she could and searched for something to occupy her attention in the meantime. Soaking in her surroundings at the bar, eyes roving over the many liquors that graced the shelves on the wall, the pictures that smothered the face of the mirror behind the register, and finally down to the bar napkin gracing the space directly in front of her.
Her stomach growled spitefully at Kaelyn's pathetic attempt at distraction and continued to pregnant dog and moan unabated. Kaelyn clutched at her stomach with an exasperated sigh and hoped that her stomach's complaining wasn't broadcasting in stereo to the other bar patrons.
It was then that she finally start to focus on the others around her. It was as if her body's demand for food had completely dampened her senses, but as soon as she became aware of the other shifters in the bar her mind switched onto high-alert.
Immediately she went stiff, her body becoming ramrod straight in her seat as her eyes darted from person to person. Irrational fear washed over her as memories of him coming into her prison night after night to tell her just how and who he'd killed. How many...? What would they do if they knew someone had betrayed their own kind? Her heart felt like it was about to burst in her chest and she knew she just had to get out of the bar right the--
"Darlin', are you alright?"
The words cut through her panic attack like a knife. Wide-eyed, she turned her gaze to the friendly, red-headed waitress who looked wore a worried look on her face. Kaeyln hadn't even noticed that the food she'd craved so badly was now right before her.
"Y-Yes, I...I'm okay. T-Thank you so much," she responded breathlessly.
"If you say so," Arlene replied skeptically, "Lemme grab you a glass of water or something. You just seem awfully pale to me, 'kay?"
"Yes, please," she numbly replied as she reached out with shaking fingers to grab a chip to nibble upon.

Brandy glanced at the new girl as Arlene had her sitting close to them. She smiled toward her, sort of a 'hey there' and turned her attention back to Damian.
"She went missing last night after leaving her parents house to come visit me for my birthday. She should of been here this morning. And she wasn't."
"Oh, um.. happy belated birthday. But aside from that, that isn't very good at all. No wonder your so worried and distracted. If Sam ever went missing I know I would be doing whatever I could to find him."
If Sam went missing. Even if Summer went missing, what would Brandy do? She had to put herself in that mind frame as Damian continued talking. He was asking her to help, and there was no way she could refuse.
And she was certain she could help in way's that no other person in this bar could. She was a witch after all, and locater spells was something she was good at.
"Alicia is like us too, And her getting kidnapped so close to her time of month and what not isn't good."
"I could imagine, running out of tampons or pads is kind of embarrassing - - "
Brandy stopped short when everyone seemed to stare at her. Oh... oh of course! He was talking about being a shifter - no, he looked at Summer, he was talking about a werewolf. Brandy went all red and hurried to change the subject.
"Do you have something of her's I can use? If you do, then all I need is a map from Sam and I can pinpoint the area she is in right now"

Damian finally caught a wiff of the new shifter who came in. He saw her and thought how pretty and sad she looked. 'So are you' he thought. He was thinking again of how close he was to doing things he didn't need to do. 'But Lafayette is sweet and Alicia is very mean' he knew all this is true but he still didnt' care he wanted Alicia safe and sound.
Oh, um.. happy belated birthday. But aside from that, that isn't very good at all. No wonder your so worried and distracted. If Sam ever went missing I know I would be doing whatever I could to find him."
"Um..thanks." Damian was having the worst day ever. He wanted his sweetie safe. "Thanks for understanding."
"I could imagine, running out of tampons or pads is kind of embarrassing - - "
Damian knew this was all a facade but it was still so weird hearing this. He was glad that it wasn't that time or it would be hell for the kidnappers. "Yeah I need to find her. I hope she gets away on the...important day." Damian couldn't figure out how to word it.
"Do you have something of her's I can use? If you do, then all I need is a map from Sam and I can pinpoint the area she is in right now"
"Actually I do." Damian pulled out her necklace. "She gave it to me when I moved."

"Yeah I need to find her. I hope she gets away on the...important day."
Important Day? Oh. OH! Of course, Brandy was so in her own little world sometimes. She didn't get it, up until that moment, and Damian might as well would of been holding up a sign that read "My Girl Is A Werewolf".
So, to put this altogether, Damian's girl was missing - he needed to find her, Brandy was going to help him do it, and then all would be right with the world again. Well, as much as anything could be right in Bon Temps.
"Actually I do.She gave it to me when I moved."
"Oh.. what a pretty necklace. Yes, this will do quite nicely.. I can even use this as a pendulum to scry for her. All I need is a.. giant map.. Sam, can you bring me a giant map?"

Sam continued to watch the conversation in with a look of slight amazement. Not at Brandy's willingness to help. But at her complete disregard for where she was and who was surrounding her. Yes the nosey Bon Temps natives were busy with there drinks and food. But all it would take was one to pick up on what she was saying, and it would spread like wildfire.
"Oh.. what a pretty necklace. Yes, this will do quite nicely.. I can even use this as a pendulum to scry for her. All I need is a.. giant map.. Sam, can you bring me a giant map?"
Sam just stared at her. He was fit to burst at another massive clanger of information just thrown out in the middle of Merlotte's. Sam threw the male Were a dark look before looking back to Brandy. "What are you doing?" he said in a hushed voice, leaning in towards her. "Are you willingly trying to expose yourself in here?" his words were harsh, but necessary.

"What are you doing?"
Brandy was a little.. surprised.. by the harshness in Sam's voice. She was about to protest when he interrupted again and she realized exactly why he was getting so upset.
. "Are you willingly trying to expose yourself in here?"
Brandy's face flushed and she found herself, much like a scolded child, with her head down. As usual, she was a little bit.. careless at times with her 'secret' - which she had a problem keeping secret at all. If it wasn't for people like Sam and Kim constantly reminding her where she was - the whole town would probably know.
"I'm sorry Sam. I wasn't thinking. We will go to your office"
Absent-mindly Brandy's hand reached for the sleeve of Damian's shirt and led him (well, almost dragged him) into the back area where Sam's office was. She expected Sam to follow, he was already disappointed in her, which she couldn't blame him.
Sometimes she was an airhead. Sure enough, she spotted a large map tucked around the bookshelf. With a thoughtful expression she carefully moved the stuff off of his desk and spread out the map.
She wrapped the length of the necklace loosely around her fingers, dangling the charm above the map of the United States. She figured if she was going to start anywhere, she might as well start there right?
"This should only take a moment."
With one hand above the map holding the necklace, and the other hand so casually on her hip she avoided looking at anything in the room but the map below her.
(ooc: Bold is what she is saying in Latin, the English translation is in Italics Underneath )
"EGO dico super dea Lego , commodo rector is donum ut locus of Damian's carus." I call upon the goddess Selene, please guide this gift to the location of Damian's beloved.
Once the last word left her mouth the necklace began to spin rapidly as Brandy began to hover the necklace over top of every area of the map. The closer she got to Texas the spinning slowed down almost instantly and the necklace stopped spinning right on Dallas.
"She is in Dallas"
Brandy's face seemed deep in thought as she looked from the map, and then toward Damian, then back at the map again as she handed him the necklace back.
"I can pinpoint her exact location if I came to Dallas with you. Dallas is a big city isn't it? By the time you combed the entire area it might be too late to help her if she has indeed been kidnapped."

Summer was happily enjoying her burger and fries when Sam got really tense and seemed to snap at Brandy for something. She took the male Were, Damian, into the back. Sam was at there heels, scowling and generally looking like a total grump.
Summer watched as they all disappeared through the open door and gave a little, not-my-concern sort of shrug. She was sure if it was any of her business, she'd get drawn into it somehow. She always did lately.
Summer sensed the presence of another Shifter. They were close by, so with the innocence of a casual observer she looked over her shoulder and scanned the room. Her green eyes lingering over a pretty blonde who sat nervously at the furthest end of the bar.
What was it with this place and Supes?

Mid-chip nibble, Kaelyn became aware of the sensation of being watched. She furtively let her eyes move in the direction of where the feeling came from and she nearly choked when she realized who it was. Hoping that the other girl didn't notice her staring back, Kaelyn oh-so stealthily (meaning not) whipped her head back to facing forwards and nervously snatched up another chip.
During her travels on the open road, Kaelyn had failed to come in contact with any shifters. Yet, here in this little town, she was face with three in the same bar. It almost hurt to be near them, knowing that if they had been in the wrong place that man could have killed them.
All from her own carelessness.
Praying that she would cease to be interesting, Kaelyn attempted to appear busy as she moved on from chip to nibbling on her salad. As if to say, 'I'm eating and therefore I am busy. So busy eating, in fact, that I am not even interesting.'...or something along those lines.

"Oh.. what a pretty necklace. Yes, this will do quite nicely.. I can even use this as a pendulum to scry for her. All I need is a.. giant map.. Sam, can you bring me a giant map?"
"Thank you. Really...the quicker I know the better." Damian was happy that he was fianlly on his way to finding his first and only love. Damian couldn't wait...then the shifter snapped.
"What are you doing? "Are you willingly trying to expose yourself in here?"
Damian didn't even think about that when he asked Brandy to do this one thing for him. He might end up exposing himself in the mix. He really didn't want that to happen.
"I'm sorry Sam. I wasn't thinking. We will go to your office"
Damian was being dragged into the back room. He couldn't wait to finally find Alicia and get his head of Lafayette. When they got there she grabbed the map and began the spell....
"EGO dico super dea Lego , commodo rector is donum ut locus of Damian's carus."
Damian watched in astonishment as Brandy began to move the necklace around. It landed on Texas.
"She is in Dallas"
Damian was breathless...how was he going to search Dallas on his own. Like she was reading his mind Brandy said she would help search.
"When would we be able to leave?" Damian wanted to leave soon but he didn't want to change in a strange town. "Can it be after the Full Moon? I don't want to be in a strange city during that time."

((ooc: Jumping posting order here, because of the nature of this storyline))
"When would we be able to leave?"
Now that was a good question, there was also the matter of how she was going to be able to afford an airplane ticket - and a place for them to stay. She could put both on her credit card for now, but for some reason she was avoiding eye contact with Sam altogether.
"Can it be after the Full Moon? I don't want to be in a strange city during that time."
"I think that would be best. You will be around right? In case something comes up and I need to contact you before we leave?"
Brandy was already at the phone book, flipping through the airlines. Ideally, she thought they should leave the day after the day after the full moon. Meaning the moon had its time to go through its main 3 cycles of the full moon - Brandy didn't want to take any chances.
She picked up the phone, turning her back to everybody in the room as she ended up calling 3 different airlines but was only able to settle with Anubis Air. She was quick to nab both flights when she could.
Next was the hotel booking. And guess what? She could only get two rooms in a vampire - friendly hotel. Was she seeing a theme here? What was going on in Texas - a vampire convention?
Sighing she hung up the phone and crossed her arms to look at Damian. She wanted to help him find his love - as quickly as possible, while avoiding the possibility of them having to leave during any phases of the full moon.
"Well, officially I'm going to be in debt for about 6 months to cover that cost. And only cause I had to settle for Anubis line because for some reason Dallas flights are pretty full? Maybe its cause its the weekend. They only had like, 4 more spots available and we got 2 of them. We leave on Saturday at 8pm to get in Dallas at 8:30pm.. or something like that. I booked us for two nights just in case, but with my magic we should be able to find her in no time."
Brandy now was pacing the room, her mind full of thoughts going off at a mile a minute. She liked to make sure plans were made right - she didn't like to take chances.
"I have to get us a ride to the airport, when we get there we will check into our rooms and I can pinpoint her exact location once we get there! *Snapping her fingers* It will be a snap!"

Sam watched everything from a distance. He stood with his back to the door, his mouth hanging slightly open at Brandy's sheer brazen ways. So focussed and so intent on helping this Werewolf that all sense and etiquette went out the window.
She located the missing girl. Called for flights and accomodation, on Sam's office phone no less. Sam's left foot began to tap, slowly at first until it reached a crescendo. His arms were folded tightly across his chest and his face was like thunder.
"Could you give us some privacy please." Sam turned to look at Damian, his eyes steely and cold.
