Thorn once again found herself wandering the roads of this town they called Bon Temps. It was a bright sunny day, the usual Bon Temps weather apparently. She was walking with her hands swinging by her sides, which was something she barely did. Currently, Thorn was contemplating whether or not to shift into her coyote form but she knew it'd look odd seeing a coyote walking around the roads in broad daylight. Coming out of her reverie, Thorn's ears "perked up" at the sound of construction going on up ahead.
She raised her eyebrows and stopped for a second. She didn't know whether to either resume her walk or turn back. Deciding the latter option would be the cowardly thing to do, Thorn began walking again with her times still by her side, this time. As she walked closer and closer, she heard male voices. Voices meant people and people meant her shy side would come out. "f**k." She swore quietly under her breath but keeping her cool as her feet moved her closer and closer to the distant male voices.

Dxmn, it was hotter than hxll out here. Jason took a swig from his water bottle, wishing it was beer. "Hey man, I am going to take 5 and refill!" He shouted at the foreman...aka Catfish. He and Catfish were buddies and he knew the guy wouldn't mind. They had been workin' nearly five hours straight.
He sauntered over to his truck and lifted up the water cooler. He let some come into his hands and he splashed it on his face. Under the trees with a breeze blowin' it felt about 10 degrees lighter and Jason could feel some of his strength coming back. He sat on the truck's tail bed and took another drink of water as he stared out into the woods. Jason chuckled to himself, it always felt like there was something watching him.

Within a few moments, the workers were in Thorn's view, crystal clear. They looked like construction workers with their trucks, hats and tools. "Hmm." She said and walked further. The hot air swirled around Thorn as she approached one of the workers. He was sitting on a sleek black truck's tail bed and looking positively tired. Her dark hair flew back with the light breeze and she stopped just out of view of him. Raising her dark eyebrows, she stood where she was and watched him, resembling a coyote.

The woods creeped him out sometimes. Since he couldn't see anything directly he just shrugged and hopped off the tail bed. He took off his shirt and dumped the rest of his water bottle on his head. It trickled down through his hair onto his face and neck and stopped at his abs.
He shook his hair out and smiled. That felt real nice and cool. He decided to trap the cool with his now removed shirt by tying it around his head like a bandanna. He filled his water bottle again to the top and clipped it around his belt loop. His break was nearly up and after a day like this one he wanted to get off as quickly as possible to get to Merlotte's and have him a cold one.

She watched him tie his shirt around his head like a bandana and smirked. He was one interesting guy. After another moment, she decided to make herself known, something rare for her to do. Looking down towards the ground, she walked forward and after a few steps fell down. "Ow! f**k!" She swore loudly. "Stupid pointy rocks." She insulted the inanimate objects.
She didn't know whether or not he heard her but she did know the cuts on her knees hurt like hell, for now at least. This is when being a shifter comes in handy. She sat on the dirty ground for a few more minutes, watching her knees begin to heal.

Jason turned quickly and saw the girl on the ground. "Oh hey! What are you doing over there?" He manauvered over the shrubbery and went by her side.
"How in the world did you get in here? You ain't hurt are ya?" Catfish could get a little twitchy about people gettin' hurt on site that weren't covered under their health coverage. You know about law suits and stuff. He held out his hand to help her up. "My name is Jason, what's yours?"
