Kimberly opened the lock on her appartment door and let Brandy and Kyle enter her home.
She was very glad she had decided to lower her wall and let Brandy and Kyle in. she had never realized how lonely it had been to keep this secret all to herself all these years.
"I'm sorry about the mess, I'm not very organized. Hate cleanin' so bad," she laughed and took off her shoes, feeling like she really wanted to sit down now.
"Please, make yourself comfortable. Sit where ever you wish," she said hoping they would like her little appartment. She had put a lot of effort in this place and was so proud to call this place hers. She had never before had anything she could call her own.

Kyle just shook his head, "Don't worry about it. I'm a teenager, I'm well used to mess" he said, waving off Kimberly's anxiety. He really didn't mind it - mess or no mess, there wasn't much difference unless there was creepy crawlys under it all. He entered and took a seat on the sofa in the living room, just sitting there. Not sprawling out like he would normally do....because this isn't his house.

Brandy had been following beside Kimberly, matching her pace the best she could. When they approached the apartment, she waited behind Kyle and seemed distracted by the white laces in her shoes.
There was a click as the door was unlocked, and Brandy made sure to enter last so she could close and lock the door behind her. After the door was locked she took off her shoes and placed them by the door.
"I'm sorry about the mess, I'm not very organized. Hate cleanin' so bad,"
"It's barely noticeable. Very nice place you have here Kim. Looks like you put a lot of effort in the little things"
Brandy made her way across the rooms and to the living room, taking a seat beside Kyle on the couch. Her caramel hues scanned over the area - getting a very homey feeling from it.
"Don't worry about it. I'm a teenager, I'm well used to mess"
Brandy only shrugged, she didn't think it was very messy at all. Instead of continuing on in her head about useless details, however, she leaned back and let her body sink against the cushions.
"Do you have any coffee Kim? It goes really great with lasagna, surprisingly."

"Thank you Brandy. I've personally chosen every bit of furniture and art here. This is my first real place and I wanted it to be a representation of who I am," Kimberly said almost shyly. The place was generously lit with happy, soft colors and the furniture was all made out of oak.
"I promise that I'm not usually this messy. I hate cleaning but I do like to keep my appartment presentable. My mama believed in being houseproud and I was brought up to belive that as well," Kimberly said, slightly embarrashed over the state of her place. Her mama would have been appalled if she could see this place now.
"Sure, I have all kinds of coffee. What do you fancy; chocolate coffee, vanilla coffee or regular blend?" Kimberly asked and walked to the kitchen. She opened a few drawers and presented three coffee bean bags for her to choose from.
"Kyle, coffee, tea, juice, soda, water?" Kimberly asked the boy, not wanting him to feel left out.

While the two female witches talked Kyle let his eyes wander around the room, taking it in. Ie, being nosey. It was a nice place, and the mess was negligible. It had all the essentials - sofa, chairs, tables etc. But it also had some ornaments and stuff, giving the place a personal, home feeling. The walls were a nice enough colour that they didn't scream at you or give you a headache.
He shook himself and focused back on Kim when she asked him if he wanted anything. "Oh, a drink would be nice. Juice or soda please? Thanks"

"Thank you Brandy. I've personally chosen every bit of furniture and art here. This is my first real place and I wanted it to be a representation of who I am,"
"Well you did very well, I am comfortable in this place already."
Actually, Brandy could make herself comfortable anywhere. Sure, the duplex took a little exorcism but now that the spirit was out of there she could live in Dawn Green's old place quite comfortably.
"Sure, I have all kinds of coffee. What do you fancy; chocolate coffee, vanilla coffee or regular blend?"
Oh, so many choices. That perked Brandy right up! With a smile she sat up and put her finger to her lips. Vanilla, chocolate, or regular...
"Oh, just throw it all into a cup. A vanillay-chocolatey- caffeine super blend!"
Brandy was going to be hyper later, but hell - that would go awesome with lasagna!

"Kyle, do you like orange soda? I'm all out of Coca Cola?" Kimberly asked with her head in the fridge. She knew had forgotten to buy something when she had been to the store. It was too bad her head was like swiss cheese sometimes.
"One chocate-vanilla coffee coming up." Kimberly said laughing.
"I'll heat the lasanga for you and me Brandy. Kyle would you like some risotto with peas and mushrooms or some chicken broth soup?" Kimberly asked, this time her head in the freezer instead, going throught the tupperware conteiners she had most recently put in.

Kyle almost laughed at Kimberly's question - Do you want some orange soda. His mind immediately went back to Who loves orange sofa? Kel loves orange soda But he quelled that reaction and instead nidded, "Yeah, that's fine thanks. And I'll try some risotto. It sounds nice." He made sure to say all this loud enough that Kimberly could hear him, given that her head was in the freezer. That being donw he turned back to Brandy. "I'm more of a caramel latte man myself. Tried a vanilla coffee once and...just couldn't take to it."

Brandy was eying the coffee table, it was tempting to put her feet up on it but she knew some people thought it was incredibly rude to do so. She heard Kim call from the kitchen, and the thought of food just made her tummy rumble again.
Kyle then mentioned something about being a caramel latte man and how he couldn't stand vanilla coffee. Brandy was busy being focused on her nails and trying her hardest not to run to the bathroom to scrub out the dirt which was collecting underneath.
"Well, your a man that seems to know what he likes and what he doesn't like"
Brandy had replied without a thought really, her attention turned on the kitchen area, wondering if Kimberly needed any help with anything. At least Kim was a good host, but Brandy felt bad just sitting around and being waited on...
"Uh, hey Kim.. you need any help in there?"

"It's okay Brandy, I'll be fine. You're a guest and I couldn't imagine putting you to work. I would be a bad hostess, wouldn't I?" Kimberly said with musical giggles. It must sound so old fashioned to everyone but she actually enjoyed entertaining guests.
"Besides, I'll just chuck the risotto in the frying pan and putting the lasagne in the oven. No big deal. Not after preparing a five course meal by myself last year for Big Daddy's 60th birthday," Kimberly laughed again, opening the oven and putting the lasagne in.
"Here's your soda Kyle. And you're coffee Brandy," Kimberly said coming to the living room with a tall glass of orange beverage and her favourite Hello Kitty mug filled with coffee for Brandy.

Kyle just lazily shrugged to Brandy's comment of him knowing what he likes. He really couldn't think of anything to say, so he settled for that. When Kimberly mentioned putting the risotto in the pan and the lasagne in the oven Kyle perked up, repeating Brandy's question. "You sure you don't want some help in there?" He asked as Kimberly came back in with his orange juice, feeling kind of guilty that she was doing all the work. He muttered a "Thanks" as he took it from her.

"It's okay Brandy, I'll be fine. You're a guest and I couldn't imagine putting you to work. I would be a bad hostess, wouldn't I?"
Brandy kind of felt the same way, if she had friends over and she was playing hostess she usually liked to do everything herself. It was a... woman thing maybe?
Kyle had no response for her, which was just as well. Kimberly mentioned something about food in the oven and then came from the kitchen with their drinks.
Brandy almost jumped up from her seat when she saw the Hello Kitty cup - she LOVED Hello Kitty!
"ooooh!! It's so cute! Gimmie gimmie!"
When it came to cute things, Brandy couldn't get enough. Maybe that was why she was so attached to Sam, who knew. Either way she took the cup happily and held it in her hands much like a small child would if they had their favorite toy in their laps.

"Of course I am Kyle. Don't cha fret. I'll tell ya if any help is needed. Sit and enjoy your orange sode," Kimberly said mock-sternly and handed the boy the glass.
"ooooh!! It's so cute! Gimmie gimmie!"
"You like Hello Kitty as well?" Kimberly said exitedly while handing the woman the mug. She had a fair few in the same theme in her cupboards. She collected Hello Kitty merchendise.
"Right, when the food is heating up, I'll get those spellbooks," Kimberly said and headed to her bedroom. A minute or two later she appeared again, carrying a brown box.
"Here, every book my grandmother had about witchcraft. I believe there's about 20 or so." Kimberly said, lowering the box on the table in front of Kyle and BB. She hoped they would fine something useful in there.

Kyle took a sip of his juice, smiling at Brandy's reaction to the cup that her coffee was in. It was weird seeing her so...childish. Weird, but refreshing. He looked at Kimberly and gave her a polite nod as she left the room to get her Grandmother's books. And then in she came with a box full of them. Twenty or so she says. "Are they books or books of shadows?" He asked, sitting forward, getting closer to the box that he wanted to have a hoke through.

"Are you kidding? I love everything from Japan. Their jpop, animation, they are such a fascinating culture"
Brandy took a satisfying drink of the warm liquid in her cup, turning to glance at Kimberly as she mentioned something about spell books. Oh, this was getting interesting.
When Kimberly came back with the spells, Brandy had leaned forward and pulled one book out. As she went through it, it was touching on the art of teleportation - an interesting concept indeed.
"They look like mainly magic books, Kyle"
Brandy was reading through the article on concentration, practicing, and how teleportation took a lot of energy and concentration. Still, she felt something warm inside of her as she continued on.
"Your grandmother was really powerful.. wasn't she?"
