After about a week living in this area, and now with a permanent home established, Jack knew the protocol. He had to visit the sheriff and make himself known, though a part of him had a feeling the sheriff already knew Jack. As far as Jack knew the sheriff was named Eric and was a similar age to himself. Eric's surname also gave Jack pause to thought about their shared histories. Had they ever crossed paths before? He doubted it as back then those he met usually died shortly after.
The night outside the club was the usual hustle and bustle of a vampire nightclub, a coming together of vampires, fangbangers and tourists. Jack had been here before but Eric had been out of town. The vampire did not particularly like the club, too many humans and not enough blood letting. He grinned to himself and stepped inside.
He was dressed in his usual attire, a fine dark linen suit with a silk lining. It was extremely comfortable and looked as if Jack was incredibly wealthy, which was a slight over exaggeration. He was rich enough not to work any more but he couldn't but a street like some business tycoons.
The club inside was the usual too, gyrating and fangbangers lusting over young vampires dressed in garish clothing. Jack could sense his anger rise at the sight. He thought humans were revolting and their only use was as food, especially now he was stuck on drinking the synthetic blood. Where was the fun in that? He decided to ignore the dancers and walked directly to the bar. He was in the mood for type O tonight and so he ordered one.
"Please let Eric know I have arrived." He said as the barman returned. It was time to make himself known.

Eric was sitting sipping a Tru Blood when he was informed a Jack Ashcroft was here to see him. The name sounded oddly familiar but as of now, Eric could not place where he had heard it before.
"Let him through," he said to the burly man who nodded and went to fetch his guest. Eric preferred new vampires to announce their presence before hand, it made it easier for him.
"Welcome to Fangtasia. Eric Northman, Sheriff of Area five." Eric said rising from his chair, both as a polite gesture and as to assert his power to the newcomer.
He didn't object to old, powerful vampires residing in his area as long as they remembered he was in charge.

Jack stood at the bar waiting patiently, sipping the Tru Blood with some contempt for the substance. Faux blood was never as good as the real thing and would never be. Ever. Still at least he wasn't being bothered by the fangbangers yet. That was until one short girl, barely eighteen, approached him dressed in a rather short skirt and a t-shirt a few sizes too small for her chest. "Hey!" She said brightly. "I'm an O too, you want to drink me?"
Jack stared directly ahead, not even acknowledging her presence. She might have been delicious, but because she offered herself so freely was exactly why Jack despised fangbangers. They were the lowest for of human, those who seeked to dance with death for fun and sexual gratification, not knowing how quickly their lives might end, especially with a near insane vampire like Jack.
Luckily for the girl the barman returned and bid Jack follow him to speak with Eric. He set the half empty bottle of Tru Blood down and nodded slowly. The quicker he could meet Eric and get out the better. He could not stand to listen to another shrill female voice begging him to eat her.
Eric's chair was more like a throne, especially in it's positioning, slightly elevated from the floor. So Eric was poseur? It didn't matter, Jack was here to be courteous to his Sheriff so he could stay here with his mistress. He bowed his head before Eric and looked back up at him. He was a little taller then Jack, especially on the step. "My name is Jack Ashcroft. I come to announce myself to you as I shall be staying here for some time." He said, as if it were some scripted answer.

"My name is Jack Ashcroft. I come to announce myself to you as I shall be staying here for some time."
"Welcome to Shreveport Mr. Ashcroft. I hope you will enjoy your stay and please, sit." Eric said motioning the other man to sit down. He was satisfied of the respect Jack had shown him.
"What brings you to Lousiana? Business or pleasure?" Eric asked settling down on his chair and taking a sip out of his Tru Blood. He was always interested in the reasons behind vampire's actions. Humans who had simple motives did not hold his attention for long but vampires were a whole other matter entirely.
Eric watched Jack carefully, looking him over for clues to what kind of vampire he was. Obviously well mannered and dressed, that was a given but he was more interested in what made him tick. Was he going to cause trouble for Eric or could he be a trusted ally.

Jack bowed his head again to Eric and took a seat next to his, angled so that they could still talk but watch the club's goings on at the same time in case conversation dried up and in case something happened that Eric was not pleased with. He sat bolt upright, as if the top half of his body was like a soldier standing to attention.
Business or pleasure? Well Jack didn't need to engage in any more business, he was wealthy enough not to work from all his savings, so was he here for pleasure? Again Jack was not sure. Since reuniting with Sekhmet his only ambition was to fulfill her every desire and to stay close to her.
"I am here to serve my mistress and maker. I have no real plans as of yet, but I assure you I would not cause any problems among our kind." He started, "Though I hope you will not have any problem with the occasional feeding time on the humans?" He added with a smile.

"I am here to serve my mistress and maker. I have no real plans as of yet, but I assure you I would not cause any problems among our kind."
"You are loyal to your maker I see. That is a very admirable quolity in a vampire." Eric noted, almost sadly as his thoughts were transported back to Godric and how his life had ended.
"Though I hope you will not have any problem with the occasional feeding time on the humans?"
"I do not object to that, I just wish it would take place outside of Fangtasia. You see we have had some problems with the law enforcement as of late and once we faced closure because of feeding on humans. And of course as a sheriff I can't condone killings of any kind but other than that, I do not meddle into anyone's business." Eric said in a tone fitting of his position. He took the care for this place seriously and would not let anyone hurt the reputation of the place.
Eric sat there quietly for a moment, observing the people around them. Some fangbangers were eagarly following the conversation between him and Jack but Eric did not awknowledge their presence. He was not in a mood to be pandered by humans this evening.

Jack picked up on the slightest hint of emotion, though he decided it best not to say any more in case there was some major history involved. As he understood it, they were a similar age so a fight between them would be rather even and Jack really did not want to pick a fight with someone in a position of authority anyway, in case it placed Sekhmet in a bad light.
"Thank you." He replied with a curt nod to the Sheriff at the compliment for his quality of loyalty. Jack thought it best to keep his manners in check around Eric, especially on the first meeting, to see where the lines were drawn, what was appropriate and what was not.
Jack was glad to hear that Eric took a conservative approach to ruling by staying out everyone's business unless it was called for. The vampire admired that. But Jack did not admire the onlookers. He blinked slowly and turned his head to face them, giving them a stare that bore into their very souls.
"Leave us." He said, with some authority. It was a chance for Jack to show his other qualities to Eric. With a gulp the few fangbangers nodded quickly and walked away to the bar to order drinks.

"They are fairly annoying aren't they?" Eric asked with a smile playing on his lips when the other man had chased away the fangbangers. He enjoyed feeding on beautiful woman as much as the next vampire but he liked his food with some exitement. Woman who just fell into his feet held very little interest to him, he liked a conquest who wasn't easy. He was sick and tired of feeding on warm and willing bimbo's.
"Are you looking for employment in the Shreveport area?" Eric asked, deciding to gather some more information about Jack. Friend or foe, Eric prided himself on knowing everything about a person. You never knew when it woul turned out to be needed.
Of course, did Jack turn out to be a trusted character, Eric could see himself hiring Jack to work at Fangtasia. He was obviously an old, capable vampire, the kind you never had too many working for you. Pam was an excellent help but she could always use some help.

Pam slowly worked her way into the back of the club. She was in her usual nightmarish get up and the humans tonight were lacking...she missed the excitment of the old days.
As she began to recall certain hunting trips she smiled. Maybe Eric would be up for a game tonight after they closed. They hadn't been 'hunting' in awhile. Maybe it would brighten his mood.
She spied Eric speaking with some new vampire. Pam's defenses rose. When it came to protecting Eric she would do anything and her loyalty knew no bounds. "My master, how are we this evening?" Pam looked at the vampire up and down and placed a protective hand on Eric's shoulder. "Always visitors at Fangtasia...who might you be?"

Jack smiled as he saw the fangbangers scamper away after he installed some much needed fear in their guts. "I prefer pathetic to annoying..." He muttered to the Sheriff with much disdain for the humans. Things had changed for the worse. Jack despised fangbangers ever so and wished they would simply all be afraid of his kind.
He sat back into his chain and crossed his legs, to try relax himself a little more in the presence of someone who had power over Jack's life in this area. "Employment?" Jack replied with a raised eyebrow. He had never really thought of getting a job, he had a wealth of savings to dip into whenever he wished and he rarely spent his money, save on fine suits and Tru Bloods. But now he was back with his Mistress there was little he would need at all. However working for Eric could be fun. "I must admit Eric I do not require any money, however I will offer my services to you whenever you require them and so long as my maker does not have need of me. I would be happy to work for you under those conditions." He paused for a moment and added "But no bar work of course, I cannot stand serving such ... people for a night."
At that moment a female vampire joined them. She was younger then both and the way she stood by Eric's side meant she was either her lover or sire, or indeed both. It seemed more likely she was a creation of Eric's by the way she seemed to protect him. Quickly, remembering his position as a gentleman, he rose from his chair as she joined them and bowed his head toward her. Even though she was younger, Jack still wanted to make a good impression on everyone here. "My name is Jack Ashcroft miss. Might I know your name?" He asked curtly and politely, taking his seat once again.

Pam smiled at him. "Jack Ashcroft, pleasure. I am Pam Ravenscroft, Eric's second in command. Is there anything that I can get you boys?"
Pam knew that if Eric wanted her to stay she would be invited but other than that she would be a bother and he would only get more annoyed.

Post by Sophie-Ann Leclerq on Sept 15, 2009 12:49:05 GMT -5
It was a normal night in the night of Sophie-Ann Leclerq. She had moved to Shreveport more or less it was due to the fact that she wanted to be in the middle of all the action that was going on in the area. Area 5 had one of her most loyal and powerful Sheriffs and she was enjoying her stay. She was arriving at Fangtasia in her normal attire, a vintage pale pink evening dress with a all the accessories. She even had a small pink flower in her hair and she was ready to watch the Fangbangers as they tried to get her attention. It was rare that they would succeed and she was determined to have some sort of entertainment this night.
Sophie walked in to the bar and instantly she spotted Pam and Eric talking with a Vampire that she didn't know. For someone to be talking to Eric, her Sheriff, and Pam, his loyal follower, this was something that could possibly be the entertainment that she wanted. Sophie peered at Eric and glided over to his direction. As she walked toward him there were many Fangbangers staring at her and Sophie Loved it. She always loved being the center of attention. When she approached she sat in a chair and placed her hands in her lap. She didn't introduce herself and she didn't acknowledge anyone. She simply quit peering at Eric and switched her attention to the new guy. She wondered if she knew him and if she did how. The only thing is she doesn't think she has met him before and she is someone that prided herself on her memory.
Sophie's Outfit Credit to the Wonderful Pam for Making it! Thanks Girl!

"Pam, please, you aren't a servant here. That is what the blood bags are for. Sit and stay, the bar seems fairly quiet at the moment, which is because you are always so efficient." He smiled at his childe.
He quickly stiffened as he felt Sophie Ann enter the bar and before he could blink she was sitting at his table staring calmly at Jack. Obviously she was having some kind of game that was specifically for Jack and she was waiting to see if he would play. Since she hadn't made her usual grand gesture of announcing herself Eric would comply. "My, you look stunning dear lady. Always the best of the best. Is there something I could get for you?" Mischief danced in his eyes. This was the song she chose to dance to and Eric could definitely keep up.

She smiled deeply as Eric asked her to stay with him. Obviously her master was trying to impress Jack with the compliments he was giving her. "My master please, you embarrass me. I do only what you ask of me and I do it with pride. The only will I obey is yours."
Pam turned her head slightly as she felt Eric stiffen. When she saw Sophie Ann, the blonde female vamp all but licked her lips. Her queen was regal and beautiful...Pam couldn't help but appreciate the masterpiece laid out in front of her...Pam's mind couldn't help but wander over the many possibilities that she could have with Sophie Ann.
She listened intently to what Eric had said to the queen and saw the playful look in his eyes. Pam couldn't help but grin. Something was getting ready to happen and she couldn't wait. Pam smoothed out her garish outfit in response.
It would be tonight that Sophie Ann would show up and Pam would be wearing the worst of all the 'vampire' ensembles that Eric had picked out. She pursed her lips. Sometimes for a fleeting moment, she wished she could fall on a stake.

"Pam..." Jack repeated to himself, purely to send to memory. She certainly had respect for her maker, a quality he admired greatly and it certainly scored points in Jack's book. He smiled at her, watching the conversation between the two with some interest in how other makers and sires treated each other. He knew he treated Sekhmet with respect others thought was a little too much, but then it was Jack's way. Sekhmet had given the greatest gift after all and he was eternally in her debt.
But as the conversation seemed to be becoming interesting, another vampire joined them, in a fashion which implied brashness and arrogance. At first Jack considered saying something but she seemed to have taken to staying silent and staring.
It was clear from their expressions that Pam and Eric knew this vampire and Eric seemed to be playing around. "Eric, don't be so rude as not to introduce me to your quiet friend here." Jack said, interrupting the Sheriff.
