It had been quite the night, to say the least of it. Haylee felt that her involvement should have ended once: She saved or tried to save Anouk. Whom, oddly enough had saved her, Derek as well. Though, he was rather rude and couldn't figure out on what bothered him. Before Haylee knew it; she had a couple of cherry coke drinks with Anouk, as she didn't want to push her luck by feeling tipsy. Yep, her involvement should have ended there and yet it didn't, oddly finding herself in a hotel. One that she visited before, the first time that she met Stan. Come to think of it, it was best to NOT be alone right now, hell; she had been near the line of death. She needed to relax, it was puzzling to feel guilty, dusting off her work uniform that looked scuffled.
Right, about that guilt; now having a seat within the lobby. "I don't think, they should've died. But if anyone were to find them again; I do think they need to repent somehow." She was speaking from experience, feeling for her friends mostly. Then again, the little "Tiff" between Anouk and Derek; it was good to at least comment on that much, like she had been holding in about what happened. Now, was probably the right moment to just say something. It felt kind of awkward; though as to find the right words. "I'm sorry if I-um, caused your relationship any harm." Awkward, she didn't even know what to call her personal business with Derek to be. Cassanova? Well, it all happened so fast.

This human was cute in her little outfit, tight black shorts, emerald green apron. It was amusing almost to see la blonde petite gussy up a little as they sat there. Anouk of course knocked back a few A negatives at Merlottes while Haylee the teetotaler drank Coke, which was an odd name for a beverage seeing as it used to have opium in it back in the 1800's, but Anouk wasn't about to reveal how old she was to the youth. They now were in the lobby, Anouk lazing on a black couch near Haylee, her legs stretched out and arms above her head, she looked like a cat sprawling out on a warm bed. "I don't think, they should've died. But if anyone were to find them again; I do think they need to repent somehow." Anouk looked up at Haylee, nodding a bit, keeping her face a bit solemn. "Yes...I do agree." Her words were slow and lazy, but that night went from hectic and now Anouk wanted the rest to be a bit sluggish. A feeling stirred within her, it was probably Haylee's awkwardness imposing itself on Anouk. Oh, the joys of blood ties. Hopefully her's and Derek's would fade soon, doubting they'd be together that much after tonight.
"I'm sorry if I-um, caused your relationship any harm." Anouk shifted her weight and sat up, before leaning back and placing her legs on the couch next to her. Anouk smiled, reassuring the girl. "It didn't, he wasn't the staying type anyway." What she wanted to say was 'I'd rather have you', but that stayed in her mind. Breaking the almost awkward silence, Anouk piped up. "Are you from Bon Temps?"

Seconds ago, it had felt a little weird to "primp." However that may be, she didn't want to appear as if she had fallen off the back of a truck. Odd, that just a mere moment ago in Merlotte's: She didn't seem to care much. It was probably because of the ordeal. Now, well-it was a different setting. Fidgeting was something to do. Speaking of the "mere moment ago," the pain of the ordeal had felt like being ran over by said "truck." Until she had been healed within the drop of a "hat," that is. Haylee folded her palms within her lap, a good way to NOT fidget, everything would be fine now. It was a nice mantra to believe. That the "Danger" was over. Frankly, whenever Haylee began to hear the agreement of her statement; she smiled.
Although, when being informed that Derek isn't the "staying" type, her facial expressions held a "Oh" pause. "Still." Haylee noted on the apology and lifted her shoulders in a shrug, not sure where to direct a further note. Now, as to where she is from: That was a simple question to answer! By now, some of the awkwardness had faded a bit. Thank goodness. Shaking her forehead, Haylee replied to the question. "Nope. I'm from Dallas, Texas. Moved a few times and then found myself in Bon Temps." Then the "switcher-roo-question had arrisen from her! "Where are you from, Anouk?"

Oh, a Texan, she loved how feisty they were at times, hot-blooded like the state they're from. Dallas of all places, Anouk knew someone from Dallas, but that was another story. She nodded with interest, listening to her words and not just hearing them. When the tables turned on Anouk as to where she was from, that was a long story, enough to write a book or two on. Anouk decided just to sum it up quickly.
"I was born in now Saudi Arabia, but I was taken to Egypt when I was about 19. From there I've lived in Italy, Spain, Brazil, France being my favorite. Austria, Luxembourg, China and many many other places. A vampire can never stay in one place too long, the locals get suspicious." Anouk laughed a little at the end, hoping not to intimidate Haylee with her extensive history. "And yourself, Texas? I've been there a few times, how humans complain about the heat there. Try living in Arabia in a wool dress without air conditioning!" It was her poor attempt at humor with the human, but she hoped it would provoke a small giggle at most in the little blonde.

Wow. Anouk had practically been all over the world! At that point, Haylee might be a little jealous, though it felt silly. It's not like that all of that "globe trotting," had been for a dashing vacation. Reminding herself of what Anouk noted, something about humans and their suspicions. That didn't change all to much, to this day. If you thought about it for some locations. Not to mention, with fashion; it was as close to traveling the globe for Haylee. No need to feed jealous. Perhaps one day; she'd actually get to travel somewhere. Paris, now that was a spot! Speaking of the dreadful Texan heat, Anouk had made a little funny about the weather. "Heey.." Her tone drawled somewhat before chuckling, "It is dreadful!" Though, she had a look of "point well taken," of what had been said about the wool dress. Huh, for a moment: Haylee forgot that she was currently dealing with a vampire.

Anouk kept on smiling, something about this little human made her perpetually happy. Odd. She nodded her head in agreement, looking around the lobby, a few people getting rooms and some others lounging around like the two here, but those couples were much closer. It made Anouk's heart ache a little, seeing those people together, but pushed it out of her mind, turning her attention back to Haylee. "I want to thank you for earlier, even though Derek ended up saving us..." Her voice trailed off a little, Anouk looked at the floor for a moment, but chuckled and looked back at Haylee. "It was noble of you to try and help, so, thanks." She had a big grin of appreciation on her mouth, her fingers began to play with her long hair a little as her eyes began to wander around the lobby again.

While Anouk looked around the lobby, Haylee couldn't help but look as well. Taking note of couples, others in passing; whom appeared to be single, but the majority appeared to be 'content.' I.E. : The couples. Once that survey was over, Haylee returned her gaze ahead of her and shook her forehead. Ok, it was a "woman to woman" time, from her view; she had to know something. Haylee then began to lean forward with a sigh, she hated being nosy sometimes. With a quirked eyebrow, "What did you see in him?!" Trying to whisper before shaking her forehead, now fiddling with her fingertips. Hoping she didn't cause a scene but sighed gently. Trying to lean back, addressing the topic at large. Being noble had gotten he butt kicked. Would she have changed getting involved? No. "You're welcome, it was the right thing to do."
