Anouk smiled at the women, feeling that invisible wall break down as she was invited in. "Thank you, this party looks absolutely lavish, as well as you." Anouk knew how these creatures work, lavish them with compliments and let them talk about themselves and they'll love you. As she walked further, she kept her eyes on Haylee, before walking up to her with a large smile and gave Haylee a peck on the cheek. It was a Euro way to greeting people that hadn't flown so well in America, but getting that close to Haylee made Anouk woozy. There was something about this girl, different than Derek, different than Maryam. Her smell, her look, the way she moved. It was all like a dream for Anouk. This girl was beyond human some how, and Anouk wondered if Haylee knew this or not. She couldn't figure out if she was two-natured or something, but it was driving Anouk mad.
"Haylee, how nice to see you!" Her voice was filled with enthusiasm and laced with excitement. Being that close to Haylee made her fangs want to come out, but Anouk used all of her willpower not to frighten her.

And now we have another vampire guest... Kyle felt a deepening sense of foreboding when the female vampire joined them. Granted, she wasn't as obviously dark as the male, but still, the more vampires there were, in such an environemtn, only invited trouble. And...Haylee seemed very popular tonight, getting personal greetings from mroe than one person...
He followed Maryann to where the party supposedly was, slowly of course, since she was talking to the large, dark, male vampire. This party was turning out not as he had expected... he would just have to remember to keep his guard up, just incase. [/blockquote]

Stealing a few coffee beans; it is hardly a grievous crime. Yet, it (stealing) was still a act of taking something that doesn't belong to you. A crime, none the less. Not that she bothered to go that deeply, as Haylee oddly felt a thrill of unraveling a few of her fringes. A slightly devious smile had arisen, on a noteworthy cause. Maryann was impressed by her little deed! So, it was all the worthwhile of taking those coffee beans, chuckling as she had placed her hands under her chin. "Oh, but I should." Haylee gently commented back on the act of gathering the beans and erased her smile, while her eyesight began to peak around Maryann's home. It almost felt like being inside of a palace!
"I think you've out done yourself." Taking a few steps within the home, before appearing to be surprised a little. Someone; no Anouk had kissed her on the cheek. That wasn't a big problem, most take it as a welcome; or some didn't like the invasion of a personal space. It wasn't either one. She was simply surprised to see the woman HERE. "Hi! I didn't expect to see you again." Her tone probably expressed the surprised notion, but it was agreed like-wise: Good to see one another again. Odd, that she could say that about a vampire. "How did everyone hear about the party?" Curiosity killed the cat; aka herself before following along with Maryann.

Maryann smirked behind her hand as the attractive female Vampire made a very subtle advance towards Haylee. Definetly an attraction there, but was it one sided? That was sure to be revealed as the night went on and Maryann decided she would do nothing, but encourage it.
That was after all, what this party was about. Pushing people past the limits of there own excesses and moral standards. There were no rules, no boundaries. Only enjoyment of any form.
"I think you've out done yourself."
Maryann shook her hands. "Oh nonsense. This little thing." she smiled at all her recent guests. "Please, go on outside. That's where all the fun is." Maryann ushered them all outside onto the sprawling back lawn.
People familiar and not were scattered all over the grass, dancing and singing. Maryann walked onto the grass, smiling as her bare feet smoothed over the blades. She looked around. "Where oh where are you my undead friend?" she whispered, a small smile on her face.

"There is another guest."
Curiosity had caused Derek to stop before crossing the threshold outside, looking over his shoulder toward the newest arrival. Anouk. Anouk wasn't there for Derek, did it bother him? Not really in the slightest. If she wanted to hang around the pretty blond human it was no loss of his, they had had their fun - as briefly lived as it was.
He would be d@mned however, if he actually acknowledged her presence. Bloody women. The lot of them.
As if it was nothing more than another inconvenience of the night, Derek had continued on outside. Groups of people were yelling and having a good time while Derek appeared to be nothing more than a wall flower. Well, at least he tried to be a wallflower - another blond, skinny woman with her hair up in a ponytail had approached him.
"Hey there handsome *giggle*, I'm Rosie, and who are you?"
Rosie had smelt of alcohol, and while she was an attractive woman she was more forward than Derek actually liked. There was one thing about a woman throwing herself at you, but this woman was against his body in an instant. She had him up against the wall, her fingertips smoothing over his nice crimson shirt and the alcohol heavy on her breath was overpowering - almost nauseating.
He turned his face away, his strong hands against her bare arms as he growled underneath his breath.
"Come on honey, Rosie will show you a good time"
Oh she was planning to, already she was inching her body down his torso and he had tossed her aside in one fluid motion to the side. When she landed on her @ss she only laughed and got up as if nothing had happened to join the others in their dancing around the back yard.
Derek's dark eyes followed the crowd, falling on Haylee and Anouk. Lord, why was that woman trying so hard? Haylee was being polite, but Derek could tell Anouk was trying a little too hard. It irritated him. Didn't she realize - - again, why the f*ck did he care?
Stupid human emotions, he was getting hungry. Would the hostess be upset if he picked one of her guests off for a little night snack? The woman knew he was a vampire, that was no secret. The energy in the backyard that evening was.. alive.
"Where oh where are you my undead friend?"
He heard the whisper, was she beckoning him? His eyes had scanned the crowd, but she was not mingling with the crowd. He could sense her and in a brief moment he had seen her. Her back was to the crowd and she was a vision against the blades of grass especially when everyone else was dancing around her.
He had approached her, stopping just behind her as he brought his right hand to his chin.
"A queen amidst the cattle"
His voice was smooth, sultry, and he had stepped forward so that he stood directly beside her - unable to deem himself as an equal in her presence, but still there to offer his companionship for the night.
"Tell me Maryann, what is your story?"

"A queen amidst the cattle"
The vampire was next to her. He had found her. The super sharp hearing of Vampires was legendary. Even the faintest whisper could be picked up, more so if they were concentrating on a particular person or voice. She smiled at his words. Did he even know just how appropriate that actually was?
He stood next to her, but at a respectful distance. She was liking this undead man more and more with the tribute he continually paid her. Tonight was going to be even more fun with him around, that was for sure.
Maryann turned her head towards him, so she was peering over her shoulder. Her eyes looking deeply into his. The darkness within him was just pouring out of every pore of his beautiful skin. She resisted the urge to touch him. She was saving herself for her one true love. But looking, enjoying him that was permitted in her mind.
"Tell me Maryann, what is your story?"
Maryann was silent for a moment, then she threw her head back and laughed heartily. "My story? Oh you are a funny young one aren't you." she turned her body round to face him. The energy searing between them was almost tangible. Was this some sign? Some temptation to test her loyalty to him? She knew she had to resist.
"There is no story. But I bet you have many stories" she pulled herself away, pointing her finger at him teasingly. "You at least have the eyes of many a pretty girl in our midst. Feel free to have as many as you like. They won't mind."

Anouk smiled, shrugging her shoulders again. She felt so at ease here, and slipped her hands into her pockets, letting her shoes scruff against the floor, feeling a little light headed in the presence of all these sweet smelling humans. "Yeah, didn't expect to see you here. I heard about the party around Merlottes, and decided to check it out. I can only wonder if this party will be as good as the one's the Ancient Romans threw." Oh boy, those parties were doozys. The wine, the orgies, the food. Well, for Anouk it was the drunken Romans, for them it was whole roasted pigs and honey, but either way those Italians knew how to party. By the looks of Maryanns backyard and house, she knew how to party down also. Taking a peek outside, she motioned for Haylee to follow her to the backyard, seeing intoxicated townies all around her, feasting and drinking. "Wow, this is a lot of Ancient Rome." That's all Anouk could say, and upon hearing music, had to urge to dance with someone. That someone being the little blonde, and without hesitation, she turned to Haylee before making a move. "Would you care to dance?" Anouk held out her hand, hoping she'd accept.

Bon Temps should have a motto. That is, if it didn't have one already; Haylee figured on that notion and then came up with something. "News traveled fast." It made her wonder on how long someone: Was able to keep a secret. Sure, the party wasn't a secret, but the news sure did travel fast of it's whereabouts. Haylee smiled at Anouk before nodding her forehead, "I guess that's how most had arrived here." Gently shrugging her shoulders before quirking a eyebrow, curious as to how the "Ancients" supposedly partied. In her mind, she almost had to do a double take; mainly on Anouk's comment. Did this mean that she was as old, er-wise. It wasn't polite to label a woman as "old." So, was she as old as the Romans or more?
That would make her about-....Haylee tried to wiggle the math count on her fingertips. Getting lost as Anouk had spoken to her and coughed, glancing among the behavior of others. They looked to be wild, happy and no boundaries appeared to be present. At least, she would be in the company of someone she knew; Anouk and slightly Kyle. She hoped to know them better, sometime soon. She actually hoped that about a lot of people, since arriving in Bon Temps. A dance? She could dance, or be a little bit of a party animal; if in the mood. Yet, it was NOTHING wild. A dance would be harmless, "Sure!"
