((ooc: Continued from the Airport Thread ))
The airplane ride over was short, barely a blimp on the radar screen. Brandy had been seated next to Damian, and by the window, so she was able to see their descent and ascent quite clearly. It was fascinating, she just wished she could of seen it with Sam instead of Damian - not that she had anything against Damian, of course. It was just the look Sam had in his baby blue eyes, as if it was taking every ounce of everything he ever had not to come running after her.
She had been thinking of Sam the entire time. About everything really, from last night's run with him in his collie form, to their passionate sex in his bar, in his trailer, to the interlude with Derek.. all the way back to when she first laid eyes on him.
Then the shaky landing of the plane forced the thoughts out of her head abruptly and Brandy instinctively reached for Damian's hand to hold it tightly. Instinct to hold on to something when you thought a massive plane was going to crash into a building or something. There was no chance, of course, but as the plane slowed to a stop she took her hand away and muttered 'sorry' toward him.
When the people started to get up to leave, Brandy leaned upward in her seat to look for Matt. He, of course, could just sit up front with them and not in a coffin because it was well into the night time. She had given her wave and joined the crowd in making their way out of the terminal and toward luggage claim.
From luggage claim, all three had caught a taxi, and Brandy resisted the urge to pull out a Dallas map and get started scrying right away. She wanted to at least get them settled and ready for a night of searching. Maybe even, if they were able to find Alicia tonight, all three could spend the next night enjoying what Dallas really had to offer.
The taxi loomed in front of the Silent Shore Hotel, an impressive sight indeed. Brandy made her way to the front desk, announced herself and then was only handed one room key.
"Um.. excuse me, maam.. there should be two room keys"
The receptionist was a bit stunned, and began typing on the computer. For what seemed like a good chunk of time and alot of 'hmm's...' 'uh huh...' 'oh...'
The blond woman looked toward the trio and frowned slightly. Brandy's brown eyes read 'what the hell?' and she hoped the receptionist was playing some kind of joke.
"I'm terribly sorry for the mix up, Ms. Berry. It seems we only had you booked for the one room, for two nights, and unfortunately our last room was booked sometime this morning. I assure you, however, all of our rooms are accurately suited for 2, even 3 people to sleep in comfortably. Only the best at Silent Shore Hotel. For this mix up we will be offering 3 free meals from the room service list and a 25% discount will be applied to the credit card on file"
Brandy nodded, a sigh leaving her lips as she turned to Matt and Damian and shrugged. They would have to figure out sleeping arrangements later. Two bell boy's had come for their luggage and lead them to their room, the receptionist had been right - the room was heavily shadowed with thick motorized curtains (a security feature for vampires, she assumed), and could suit the three perfectly.
Still, Brandy made a note in her head not to mention the hotel mix up to Sam. He was worried enough as it was, just because she trusted Matt and Damian enough to fall asleep in the same room together, it didn't mean that Sam did.
Brandy had her bags on the floor by the table and chairs. On the table she laid out a map of Dallas and beckoned for Alicia's necklace again. Oh, Alicia was definitely in the area, Brandy could feel it in her veins.
This, wouldn't take long at all.
