((OOC: Continued from this thread )) Summer stayed in the shadows. Waiting for the right moment to strike. Tactics were everything at this stage in the game. One wrong move, one mistake and the quarry would be gone. It had been a long hard night for Summer. Fighting off her animal instincts to hunt the timid Kaelyn. But under the pull of the moon, it was too much and Summer gave in. Giving chase for what seemed like hours and hours. She raised her head to find the source of her power. The celestial body that made her feel so alive. She held back a howl, not wanting to alert any other Weres, Shifters or even any remaining patrons at the bar. Instead, she chose an admiring snuffle towards it. It wouldn't be long till the moon was fall and the sun would rise. Wether or not Summer achieved her goal or not, was unable to be determined. Choosing to wait, just that little bit longer.

The world seemed so much bigger as a rabbit. Fatigue and pain made what should have taken seconds last minutes as she struggled towards the bar. The parking lot was empty, as far as she could see, and she didn't really have a plan for what to do when she got here.
If Sam wasn't around...she was dead. If some other unfortunate soul was lurking around Merlotte's instead of its owner, they'd simply think they'd drank too much and run for cover. Raising up on her hind legs, Kaelyn raised her nose up into the air to see if Sam's scent was lingering in the stale air.
After a few cautionary sniffs, the wind suddenly picked up and shifted directions. Instead of catching Sam's scent, an unwelcome one sent alarms ringing in her head. Her tail flashed a warning of white and then she took off running. The rabbit's shriek of piercing pain filled then empty air of the parking lot as she made a mad dash towards the bar. She was slower, totally exhausted and adrenaline was the only thing she had going for her. Luck looked like it would be the only thing to save her now.

The huge timberwolf paced back and forth, lurking in the shadows. Waiting for the ideal moment to lunge forward and take what she thought was hers. She caught sight and the scent of the wererabbit and slowly eased forward. Her snout peeking out from the shadows and being lit by the moonlight above.
The rabbit caught her scent first and made a run for it, letting out a rabbity squeal of pain. Summer paused, chasing an injured animal wasn't nearly as much fun as it was chasing something that was at it's peak condition.
Her human side took over for a moment, questioning her own actions. What was the point in chasing this creature? The thrill of the hunt. Why not let the poor thing go? Because that's no fun. I don't want to hurt her. No I want to EAT her.
A conflicted growl came from the back of the wolf's throat, it's ears pinned back as if being scolded. Summer fought hard to keep control of her animal side, but it was no use. The urge to hunt was just too strong. Catching a moment to come out from the shadows completely, Summer followed the rabbit's every move.

There was desperation in the air. Kaelyn was aware that trying to actually escape the fate that Summer planned for her was probably folly. She was weak, her paw was sprained or broken at worst, and she had no plan for a guaranteed survival. She was running low on hope, but a woeful sense of pride was welling in her chest.
She'd survived hell for an unknown amount of time and found that she could face life. No matter how horrible the concept of continuing to breathe had seemed days before, she'd kept on going. The rabbit gave out a bitter snort as her injured appendage threatened to give out and she willed it to keep working despite the duress. Fighting was all she had left.
She made a sharp right turn, moving parallel to the side of the building as she desperately sought refuge. When she came up against the corner of the bar, she turned right and headed towards the back of Merlotte's. Her nose was damp with perspiration and her concentration had been diverted to merely keeping her body moving, but a familiar scent caused her entire form to perk up.
As she made a beeline through a row of shrubs that hugged the bar, the rabbit finally noticed the trailer snuggly surrounded by trees some distance away. The lights were on in the trailer and her eyes desperately scanned the windows for any sign of movement.
Hope wasn't totally lost yet.

Summer followed Kaelyn's scent as if her life depended on it. Though still not running, only padding along at a mid-range speed. Occasionally slowing down to check the air and her surroundings. So far no-one was around.
Wait.
More of the wererabbit's scent caused the hunt to resume. The scent was closing in on Sam's trailer. She hadn't been there, but Brandy was there a lot and she could smell a faint trace of her and Sam. But not strong enough to indicate there presence within the trailer.
Summer looked around, the rabbit was close. Really, really close. A small whine of frustration creeped out from her throat. Then a dark growl. Something, no someONE was blocking her path from her prey.
"Hey there little doggy." a drunk slob of a man staggered past. So inebriated he had no idea the danger he was in. He was lucky Summer wasn't about to bite him, if he survived he'd become some weird hybrid and die soon after. He wasn't worth the hassle, so instead she raised her hackles and bared her full set of sharp teeth. Lowering her head, giving off vibes of an imminent attack.
"Aw crap...good doggy...nice doggy. I'll get ya a nice bone to snack on." the drunkard panicked and backed away as slowly as he could. Falling onto his ample posterior before scrambling up onto his feet and making a dash for wherever it was he came from.
This had thrown Summer even further off her game. Noting the moon was not long for this side of the world, Summer was gaining more and more of her human side. She forced herself to turn back and wait in the shadows.

The presence of her stalker was nagging at the back of her mind, but there was little Kaelyn could do in terms of deterring the wolf. Her tiny figure skittered across the minuscule stretch of dirt that separated the bar from the trailer. The rabbit's forward momentum was halted by the steps that led up to Sam's front door.
Her eyes wearily sized up the gargantuan hurtle that loomed before her. Kaelyn tentatively lifted her left paw and hopped up the first step. Without the full use of her other paw the rabbit lost her balance and went sprawling across the step. Prone and tiredly gasping for breathe, she swayed as she righted herself from her stumble. There were three more steps to climb until she reached the door.
Trying a different approach, she raised up and stretched her body as far as she could to make contact with the next step. Leaning heavily on her left paw, she kicked her legs to the side and hoisted the rest of her body up to the next level. The entire process was too slow, but she had no choice.
The idea of death coming as she started to tempt the next stair wouldn't surprise her at this rate.

The incident with the drunken oaf had really thrown Summer off her game more than she initially realised. Her human conscience was gradually getting stronger and stronger. Able to fight the animal instincts that she had earlier succumbed to. The fate of a would be friend was in her hands and she had the power to end it and have no blood be spilled. Or at least, no casualties.
Summer forced her wolf form to the ground. Resisting the remaining urges to take the rabbit, it wouldn't have been that difficult at this stage. Only so much a creature like that can take before giving up entirely. Though adrenaline can make you do funny things.
Summer leant her large head on her paws, her energy all but gone. The hunt had taken more out of her than expected. All she wanted to do was rest. A small welp of pain passed her throat at the sudden noting of a minor leg injury became more apparent with the adrenaline rush subsiding. Maybe it was a good thing she stopped when she did.
Summer stood up slowly, and made her way towards the trailer. Not to eat the rabbit, so her movements were slow and cautious. Would the rabbit sense that the danger was over? Or would she try one last bid for freedom? The closer the wolf got to the rabbit, the harder it was to hold onto her Were form. A paw reached out and no sooner had the paw made it towards the rabbit, than it was a hand attatched to a very human and very naked Summer Morgan.

The rabbit had managed to get herself up to the third step, but it was up for debate if it was a successful attempt or not. Her body was only partially on the step and her back legs were dangling limply as what little upper body strength struggled to maintain its hold. As Kaelyn was trying to get a better hold on the flat surface of the step, her body instinctively seized up as she felt a presence behind her.
When a fingertip barely disturbed the fur on her back, her body jumped in surprise at the contact. Kaelyn lost her grip, her legs giving a few kicks in hope to connect with any sort of solid footing and simply ended up pushing herself backwards down the stairs. The rabbit did two rather ungraceful flips to land in a fuzzy, confused heap at Summer's feet.
Kaelyn laid there a few moments, begging for the world to stop spinning and to stop shrinking. She raised her paw up to her face, only to feel the weight of the palm of her hand come to a rest on her cheek. A choked sound raised up past her lips, a mix between a laugh and a sob, as she realized that she wasn't going to die.
Raising herself up on her elbows, grunting from the effort, and looked up with bleary eyes to Summer. "You finished?" Kaelyn asked with a raspy voice.

"You finished?"
Summer looked up at the pretty blonde and smiled. "Yeah...real sorry bout that, whole trying to eat you thing." Even for two shifters this was an awkward situation to find yourself in. As naked as the day you were born and laying out on the front steps of one of your friends' place, just a little ways from a popular hot spot.
"So...maybe we should go streaking through Bon Temps" Summer grinned trying to use humour to lighten the mood. "That'd set the gossips on fire."

"Yeah...real sorry bout that, whole trying to eat you thing."
"This was actually," she took a deep breathe and pulled herself into a crouch,"what I had been worried about. I don't know who the locals are. Being delicious does have its disadvantages." She wasn't ashamed of her nudity...the entire time she'd been imprisoned her body had been exposed, but it was her scars that bothered her. Her stomach and back were a map of past agonies and times better left forgotten.
"So...maybe we should go streaking through Bon Temps. That'd set the gossips on fire."
The worst of the damage had been inflicted in the front, so she tucked her arms tight about her waist as she shakily stood up. "I'm sure the local male population wouldn't mind it if you did," she said with a small grin,"but I don't think we have a choice...unless you know where Sam keeps a spare key and we...borrow some old t-shirts."

Summer noted the various scars over Kaelyns body, but thought it best to respect the girls privacy and pretend to not even notice. A girls secrets where her own and if they became close enough to talk about it, then Summer would make sure she was a friendly ear for her.
"I'm sure the local male population wouldn't mind it if you did," Kaelyn smiled at her. Summer raised an eyebrow at the thought. Give them heartattacks more like. "You shouldn't sell yourself short, you're not exactly unattractive you know." Summer really wasn't the jealous type, well not of other pretty woman. She was confident enough in herself not to care.
"unless you know where Sam keeps a spare key and we...borrow some old t-shirts."
Summer frowned, it was certainly a dilemma. Even if Sam did have a spare key, it was now in the hands of Brandy no doubt. Summer hummed to herself as she tried to think of an idea. She shrugged her shoulders casually. "I'll have to kick the door in. Doesn't too solid." Summer stood up onto her feet, not even thinking how ridiculous the entire situation was. "Stand back a little." Summer said over her shoulder. "Just incase."
Summer stood against the door and without really thinking, turned the handle and the door opened. Summer's eyes widened with a grin. "So much for Mr Cautious." Summer slipped inside the trailer and motioned for Kaelyn to follow.

"You shouldn't sell yourself short, you're not exactly unattractive you know."
Kaelyn's eyebrows shot up at the comment. The idea of being remotely attractive anymore hadn't clicked with her for awhile. When it came to thinking of herself in certain terms she'd settled for being somewhat sexless. As far as she knew, that part of her had withered up and died.
"Thank you for saying so," she said despite her own inner conflict. As the wind picked up Kaelyn became rather thankful that the air warm and not freezing any of her unmentionables.
"I'll have to kick the door in. Doesn't too solid."
"Well, it is a trailer," she added apprehensively as she watched Summer get up and followed closely behind as she made her way to the front door.
"Stand back a little."
Kaelyn gave a sharp shake of her head.
"Just incase."
'I hope Sam won't be too pissed,' Kaelyn worriedly thought to herself.
Clenching her eyes shut, she prepared herself for the sound of shattering wood and all around door destruction. The noise of a door knob being turned eased the tension of her shoulders and Kaelyn peaked around Summer with an air of incredulity.
"So much for Mr Cautious."
"I'll say," she mumbled as she followed Summer's lead into the trailer. The carpet on her bare feet made her curl her toes and scrunch the soft material between her toes. It felt odd to be in someone's home without being invited but an emergency was an emergency.
"Oh," Kaelyn perked up with realization, "Sam will probably be able to smell that we've been here. I mean, we could leave a note or something? I also wonder why he isn't here..." She slipped over to his refrigerator, studying the magnets that covered the doors and the few pictures pinned in place. "I mean, I usually stuck as close to home when the full moon came around."

"Sam will probably be able to smell that we've been here. I mean, we could leave a note or something? I also wonder why he isn't here..."
Summer knew full well why Sam wasn't here, though why he'd left his trailer unlocked was a different story. She'd have to figure that out later. First things first was finding his bedroom and looking for something to wear.
"I mean, I usually stuck as close to home when the full moon came around."
Summer paused to look at Kaelyn, with a mischevious smile. "Well, you're a rabbit. He's a dog...or whatever the hell he wants to be. He can pretty much come and go as he pleases on a shift." Summer pondered what it must be like to have that freedom of choice. Summer and Kaelyn were consigned to one form for there entire lives. She couldn't speak for Kaelyn, but as much as Summer loved and was proud of what she was. It was nice to dream sometimes. Sometimes about just being a regular old human.
"I've found the bedroom." Summer's thoughts overtook her and she let out a laugh. "Oh hell imagine if he came back right now, two hot naked chicks in his bedroom" giggling to herself she went over to a large chest of drawers and picked the 2nd drawer down and opened it. The top was usually where people stuffed there smalls, and Summer really didn't need to see Sam's underoo's.
"Bingo!" Summer exclaimed pulling out a navy blue t-shirt with the logo of Merlotte's emblazoned on the left breast.

"Well, you're a rabbit. He's a dog...or whatever the hell he wants to be. He can pretty much come and go as he pleases on a shift."
"He is a bit lucky like that," she replied as she moved out of the kitchen and studied the simple furniture that was arranged in the living room. Sam didn't seem like the type of guy to have anything fancy given his attire and the fact that he lived in a trailer. Humble seemed to be the right word to sum him up so far.
"I've found the bedroom."
Kaelyn paused her mental assessment and headed towards Summer's voice. A bedroom always seemed like the most personal place within a home and again she couldn't help but feel bad. Even with the rather crazy circumstances of their trespassing, Kaelyn was sure to go into a flurry of apologies and maybe she should bake him a cake. She could make one for Brandy, too. That was one thing she had been wanting to do since she broke free anyways...
"Oh hell imagine if he came back right now, two hot naked chicks in his bedroom"
"It'd almost have to be funny," she answered as she slipped into Sam's bedroom. Kaelyn watched Summer rifle through various drawers in search for their temporary attire. It was crazy to think that a few minutes ago they'd been in a giant game of cat and mouse...so to speak.
"Bingo!"
"Thank goodness," she sighed as she stepped up beside Summer to eye her t-shirt prize. "There should be more like that in there, right?"

"It'd almost have to be funny,"
Summer grinned and nodded, "It'd be hilarious, till Brandy showed up. Then I think I'd wet my panties, well if I had any panties on."
"Thank goodness, There should be more like that in there, right?"
Kaelyn's voice was close by, Summer turned to see the blonde wererabbit standing next to her eyeing the clothes in Sam's drawer. Summer tilted her head round. "Oh you can count on it. Sam isn't exactly Mr GQ." Summer gave a smirk with a raised eyebrow. While a little mean, it was true. Sam was Mr Jeans & Plaid, not that there was anything wrong with that of course.
"Just pick something in there. Seems to be a lot of Merlotte's work t-shirts. Guy must have about 50 of 'em in there. Pays to be the boss that's for sure." Summer pulled the cotton shirt over her head and let it fall a few inches above her knees. Unable to help herself she found a mirror to give herself the once over. Satisfied she waited for Kaelyn to pick a shirt and get ready.
"You know, after all this is said and done. I think I owe you one." Summer began, chewing on her thumb nail. "How about I take you out for a drink or something. There's a shifter bar in Shreveport that's pretty cool. My way of an apology."
