((OOC: This is set the first day of the official closing of Merlotte's))
Summer parked her Ford Focus as close to the entry to the mall as possible. She had no idea just how much she'd actually buy and be able to carry back out again. Summer Morgan: Potential Domestic Goddess. Summer snorted at the thought. "As if" she muttered to herself as she made her way into the heaving masses.
Summer hated shopping, loathed shopping. But it was always nice to have someone with you to cure boredom or in Summer's case to prevent mass murder. But with Brandy in Dallas taking a well earned and much needed break with Sam, Summer had to do this on her own.
Summer had only been to Pecanland a few times since moving to Shreveport, so she wasn't too familiarised with where everything was. Summer let out a deep, heavy, frustrated sigh as she realised she was on her own this time and trudged on with heavy boots to match her heavy heart. Summer was glad she was in jeans and t-shirt, today was 9th level of Hell, hot. Summer didn't much enjoy excessive heat either. Summer questioned her residing in Shreveport on days like this.

Well, she MUST be absolutely bonkers. As she didn't exactly own a home or apartment yet, though she wanted to look at accessories. Come to think of it, Sam did say for her to just relax. To enjoy herself on the time off from work, so maybe it was nice to dream. Well, she felt a little less then bonkers now, only by a small margin. Shaking her forehead, Haylee would continue onward. It would be a riot, to buy something and to redecorate her hotel room. A riot because it: Might give the owner a heart attack of surprise. Which is the LAST thing that Haylee wanted to do, when continuing on her way. Though, something interesting happened; a sigh.
She could swear that she heard one! Upon giving a slight glance around, her sight fell upon a suspect. Boy, between all of her little spacing out, she didn't realize that it was so hot. If she were butter, there would be a puddle; right where she stood. With a tiny clearing of her throat, Haylee spoke up gently. "Everything, okay?" She hoped that she was asking the right person, nothing embarrassing then a mishap between strangers.

"Everything, okay?" came a sweet Southern voice, Summer turned her head to look to the speaker. A little blonde girl who looked as sweet as her voice. Sweeter in fact. Summer decided to be polite. Not like the pretty blonde was being snarky, she seemed genuinely interested.
"Honestly? No...I'm completely lost and unmotivated." Summer explained with another sigh. "I'm fairly new to the area and I know this place as well as I do the South Pole."
Summer looked around, she was starting to get a little anxious. This was the first time since Marco passed away that she was dipping in to the account he left to her. It was way more than Summer had ever expected and apparently had grown in size since he died.
After transferring all the money to her own and closing the old account down. Summer had put a down payment on a house in Shreveport. Now it was time to get those little odds and ends to put into the place to make it feel like a home and not just somewhere to stay. It would be the first proper home Summer had since leaving Canada 6 years ago.

Whew, no mishap! Although, she was a little sad to hear that: The woman was unmotivated. More so of being completely lost, that didn't sound fun at all; neither was being new to a area. She could relate to the feelings that were being expressed, more then ever and tried to give a comforting smile. "With today's heat, if only it were a pole." Really, a nice burst of chilly air: Well it would be as good as sin. Seriously, why did it have to be this hot? Then again, it felt kind of silly; it was the SOUTH after all. Shaking her forehead a little bit, now clucking to feeling slightly awkward. Then a idea arose! Well, she hoped that it would be a good one anyhow, "I'm not to savvy yet, but I know where a few things are. Maybe I could help?" The woman looked slightly anxious, which is puzzling as to why she might be that way; or it could be the heat. Creating things that are not there, she couldn't really tell.

"With today's heat, if only it were a pole."
Summer's brow furrowed, but she nodded in agreement. "I'm not really used to this weather at all. It'll take some getting used to." This was Summer's punishment for all the complaints about the bitterly cold winters back home, she was certain of it.
"I'm not to savvy yet, but I know where a few things are. Maybe I could help?"
Summer gave the girl a quick once over. She seemed harmless enough. Sweet, helpful, considerate. Summer reckoned most of the people in the mall would just ignore her. Summer was relieved, someone to stop her from going postal. "You wouldn't mind? I am seriously losing my fricking mind here." Summer smiled at the girl and outstretched her hand. "Summer."

Not used to the weather? Haylee reviewed within thought as to what the stranger had put out there. While in fact being curious, as to where the woman was from. The type of comment seemed as if she were NOT from the south, not that it mattered. Everyone had to come from somewhere, because America was a melting pot. "Where are yah from, if yah don't mind the intrusion?" Hey, she had to be honest. The curiosity bubble was going to burst! Chuckling a little sheepishly before silencing herself, now shaking her forehead. She really didn't mind helping someone at all, it was about Karma! Good things would return to you. "Nope, I don't mind at all! I was just headed in here to look at some homey stuff." Haylee then moved to outstretch her own hand, attempting a shake. "I'm Haylee N' its nice to meet you!"

"Where are yah from, if yah don't mind the intrusion?"
Summer looked at the girl and frowned a little at being so obviously not from around here. "I stick out like a sore thumb huh?" she laughed a little. "No, I'm from Canada. The antithesis of the Southern states of America."
Summer raised an eyebrow at the blonde's mention of buying 'homey' stuff. It was exactly what Summer was here for. A grin plastered all over her face now and took the pretty girl's hand and shook is enthusiastially. "Nice to meet you Haylee and you are an Angel of mercy for sure. This is what I came out all this way for. Just bought a new place and I need to spruce it up." Summer looked around. "So...where's the best place to go?"

Sticking out like a sore thumb, not exactly how she'd like to put it. Haylee was often to nice for her own good, really she was. Not like she'd realize that notion and cracked a tiny smile upon answering. "Not at all!" Well, she couldn't lie all to well, never keeping a blank face as it wrinkled to laugh. "Maybe a little, like a pinky's worth." It didn't matter as Haylee shook her forehead, blinking when learning where Summer was from. Canada. Ah, it sort of made sense now. When getting a idea of cold weather in the far north and then being thrown into hell-like weather here in the deep south. " I don't think its something yah ever get used to." You think you could and then a day like today happens, so hot it could fry eggs and bacon.
Whoa! All of a sudden her hand was being shaken with: Such enthusiasm. It was really a treat and a surprise at the same time, when learning Summer's reason for being here. Talk about conci-er, things meant to happen for a reason! Ok, Sookie was right. It was kind of strange, coming into that belief all of a sudden. Somethings didn't have a answer, where other things did. "Pishaw, I a'nt no angel!" She smiled, though totally unaware of the irony before speaking again, "It's nice to meet you to. As for the go to place, follow me and keep up!" She joked, as she wouldn't leave anyone behind.

Summer felt strangely at ease with Haylee, there was an air about her. Of trustworthiness and of honesty. Someone you could rely on. When she teased Summer with the pinky, she smiled at the blonde. A sense of humour too. That would come in handy, Summer had never known a day without sarcasm.
Haylee fobbed off the Angel comparison. Summer had a small smile on her lips. Wether she wanted to admit it or not, Haylee was a huge help when Summer thought there would be none. "It's nice to meet you to. As for the go to place, follow me and keep up!"
"Oh you won't be able to lose me" Summer smirked, it was an ambiguous enough a statement so as not to cause alarm. Though it was true, Summer now had Haylee's scent and could find her in a crowded mall with ease.
Summer had now had a positive outlook on the day ahead. Someone to shop with, talk with and to keep Summer out of trouble. Unless this girl wasn't as sweet as she looked. Which could provide for an interesting day.

Haylee beamed to Summer's wording of "NOT" being able: To loose her, more or less. That was good, as she would hate for Summer to get lost; especially after agreeing to help. It would be a little embarrassing, to tell the absolute truth on the matter. While a concern, Hayle wouldn't let it get her down when continuing onward. "I wonder if there is a sale going on, somewhere. It looks crowded today!" She hoped there was a sale, those events were always fun, but she had to focus! Homey stuff, was her mission as she smiled and began to look around, it was a elusive store. After a moment or two, maybe more; she finally managed to get it all into her heading. "Oh, there it is!" It kinda had the motto of having "everything" you could need for a home. "Do yah know what kinda look, you'd want?" Alike fashion, a home was the same way. So many styles!

At the mention of the sales, Summer's eyes lit up brightly and grinned at her companion. "Now that's more like it." Nothing cures the blues like a good scout round the sales. "Just so long as the mob keeps at bay, I don't really deal well with aggravated shoppers."
Haylee pointed out a store as they walked. It was like a Mecca for all things homely. Summer turned her head to Haylee. "Oh yeah, this is definetly more like it." A gleeful smile on her face. The need to shop and to buy as much stuff as she could carry.
"Do yah know what kinda look, you'd want?"
Summer pondered the words. What did she want? Summer stopped in her tracks and looked bewildered. "You know, I hadn't even thought about it to be honest. I guess I'll know when I see."

"You said it," Haylee noted a sense of agreement to Summer's words. Nothing cures anything better than a sale, because it was almost like hunting. Not that she'd ever been outdoors with a gun, but its the symbol of sporting. The prowl and victory, of a good "kill" bargain. All of it was the same thing! Wasn't it? Oh, not to mention the whole "mob" scene, yelch; that was not pretty. That was kind of like a E-bay auction. Where you trade and sale, while trying not to get trampled if it came down to the wire. Whenever Summer had stopped, it caused Haylee to glance upon the woman; eventually stopping as well. She had looked bewildered and stated that she hadn't given a "look" an idea before.
Just that, she'd know when looking. Oh, "Sometimes its good to know." There was more as she chuckled, "Other times, its pretty fun to get that sudden feeling of wanting something!" Such as a new dress, a different kind of fashion or whatever catches the eye of "ITS THE ONE!" Haylee then tried to motion for them to continue, as nothing was gonna buy itself off the shelf. It must be kinda nice to own a home. At that moment, she couldn't wait to be here one day; doing the exact same thing.

"I never really give things too much thought. I rely mainly on instinct and impulse." Summer mused to herself about how it was probably why she got herself into so much trouble, for good and for bad. Summer peered inside the store and glanced around casually. Then her head stopped moving, her eyes focussing on something in particular. A lop sided smirk on her lips as she gave it the once over from a distance.
"I have to have that!" Summer's lips parted into a wide grin, her eyes twinkling with excitement. She pointed towards a large rug hanging on the wall. Emblazoned with a night sky scene, a full moon hanging high. But what made Summer even more excited was the Wolf silhouette against the moon, howling upwards. Cliche to her, but it just felt right.
Summer quickened her pace and stood in front of it, touching the material making sure it was good quality. And it was. It was perfect. Summer tilted her head to check out the price. $100. Summer would have paid for it if it was twice that much.
She looked around for someone to help.

Never give things to much thought? Haylee reviewed that admission within thought, where as she knew the feeling. Having a certain kind of "call" toward fashion and other things of interest. It may be a kind of addiction, though it may also be normal. In being the way she is, nothing that she wanted to think deeply on; it could get her down. Maybe even to whine about: A fiance trouble, being in a swirly. Slightly, she giggled when hearing a familiar catch phrase, of possession-longing over something. Her line of vision zoomed to the object of desire, a beautiful styled rug. Defiantly appeared to have a well kept quality about it, now to see the price for the "puppy."
GOOD LORD! "A-..a hundred smackers?!" Ironic, she could probably spend that much on clothes, if she were allowed to. Haylee coughed, while feeling the price to be a rip off. Though, now chuckling to her expression. Certainly, with that outburst of surprising: Help would arrive in no time. AWKWARD. "Its-... a nice rug." She totally needed to break the ice, feeling slightly sheepish and tried to keep a smile. Eying the help as it neared, a saleswoman with a patient look of: "Can I help you?"

"Huh? You don't think it's worth it?" Summer was deflated and now doubting her choice. That was will a rather perky salesgirl came over to the pair.
"Hi, my name is Susanna. Is there anything I can help you with today?" then she flashed a bright, toothsome smile that almost blinded Summer. Then her saleswoman instincts must have kicked in as she saw Summer with one hand on a corner of the rug. "Oh you like this? Isn't it exquisite?" the girl barely paused for breath. "It may seem a little pricey, but the quality is top notch and you'll have it forever. It's very much worth the tag."
Summer held her right hand up to stop the girl from yammering on and on. She'd already made up her mind. "You don't need to go all Billy Mays on me, I already decided to buy it. I just need to know if I can have it delivered or if I can pick it up later. I can pay for it now though."
The girl's eyes shimmered with an unspoken joy. She had a sale and she was fit to burst. "Whatever is more convenient for you? Delivery is an extra $10 however."
Summer waved her hand dismissively. "Whatever. When will it be delivered, I need to know so I can be there to collect it."
The girl with the grin permanently plastered to her perfectly made up face ushered Summer over to the counter with her hand. "If you come this way, I'll make arrangements to suit you."
Summer looked at Haylee with a gleeful smile. First purchase of the day and there were more like this to come. Summer was beginning to enjoy this day out more and more.
