It was the first day off she had in quite some time. Sookie was busy at work, as well as Jason. Rylan was all the way in Shreveport and Delaney missed her sister like crazy but she wasn't about to drive back to the vampire's city on her day off. Delaney called it the vampire's city because there wasn't any where she could travel without getting a phone call saying 'she shouldn't be where she was thinking of being'.
Delaney rolled her eyes as she pulled into the parking lot of the mall, got out and locked her car. She couldn't believe she was going to the mall, after all she spent most of her time in a clothing store. She sighed to herself. The town was small and there wasn't really anything to do here. As much as she liked Sookie and Jason, Delaney didn't know how much longer she could take small town life. At first it had been exciting but now...let's just say it wasn't going exactly as she had planned.
After roaming around and looking at the different options, Delaney's stomach growled. She lifted her nose and followed it to the food court. If Delaney was to have weakness it was the giant soft pretzels they served in malls. They now had these hot dogs that were wrapped in a pretzel and she thought she would die. They were fantastic and she could never get enough. Now she could only hope that this little mall was equipped with one!

There must be something wrong. Like really wrong, with me. Haylee thought and then gave a mental groan; now remembering something important. The meaning of 'budget' and to spend less, yet here she was. It was almost like a calling, as Haylee loved this mall. All it had to offer, alike any other place to shop and find interesting things. Was it being normal or an addiction? She couldn't tell, nor did she want to think right now. A mouthwatering smell had grabbed her attention, it was sinful to be this amazed. Sweets, she didn't need those! Then came a powerful aroma of pizza, along with other goodies for people to eat. There was no use fighting it! Yet there did seem to be lines everywhere, "Aww heck." Haylee muttered and waited in line.

Delaney was so concerned with finding a pretzel place that she wasn't looking where she was going. Suddenly she found herself face down on the floor landing awkwardly on all fours just like a cat. "Well darn, you would think I was a little bit more coordinated than this." She moved to a crouch position and looked for her purse. It had been thrown about five feet in front of her and its contents were scattered all over the mall floor in the food court.
"Excellent, my presence has been announced with my first appearance/public humiliation. Way to go Delaney, you are awesome."

Traffic; slow and painful, kind of like waiting in line. She hardly even budged an inch! It was difficult to refrain from a complaint, as it was human nature; nibbling on her bottom lip. The current moment would probably go faster if she thought about something. Only, Haylee couldn't focus on that simple task for long; hearing a small clatter all of a sudden. Then combined with a brief bout of laughter, almost trying to cut back on the flair. What on eart- Haylee's thought interrupted herself, while trying to find out on: What gave the general populous a "run" for their money.
Suddenly laying her sight upon a woman that had crouched, several items littering the ground and then a purse. "Are you ok?" Her voice had risen with concern, now taking a few steps from her place in line. Somethings were more important then others, like a helping hand. Or so she thought, when trying to help gather the clutter up. Hoping that she was intruding, really: All she wanted to do was help. Nothing like a introduction! "My name is Haylee."

Delaney heard a voice ask if she was ok. "Oh, thanks. Yeah, I am fine other than a slightly bruised ego." The girl was blonde and cute and her name was Haylee. She stood up and brushed herself off. "My name is Delaney but you can call me slightly humiliated if you like, either way I am pretty sure I am going to crawl under a rock some where to die of embarrassment."
She looked around and since no one but Haylee had come to help she decided that perhaps it didn't really bother her that much after all. "Thanks for all your help Haylee. I know we just met but I was wondering if you could do a favor for me?" Delaney leaned in as if it were some big question. "Could you tell me if this mall has a pretzel stand?"

Haylee couldn't blame the woman for having a damaged ego, heck; if it were her shoes, she'd feel the same. It really wasn't that ba-ok, it was but the worst is over! Isn't it? She tried to reason a tad, before smiling upon learning the woman's name. Even chuckling about finding a rock to go "die" under, well; she had a response! "You may have to wait in line, with they way it goes around here!" A lame, very lame joke that left Haylee shaking her forehead to her opinion. "Its nice to meet you, Delaney." It was no trouble on her part to help, having long since standing; after the clutter had cleared. A favor? For a split second, she wondered on what she could help with. Then, it all came into the light. A pretzel stand. "A mall wouldn't be one without it! Though, I am unsure where it might be. Maybe we can look?"
