She had only come in to escape the rain. Actually she had come into the mall to escape the rain, Aislinn had no clue why she had walked into a predominantly vampire shop. It was completely uncharacteristic for her, but she guessed she’d been drawn by a few of the older looking books that had sat in the display case at the front window. She had sat outside on the marble edge of a plant box for about an hour, picking her way through an Annie Ann’s pretzel with chocolate dip (which only took about 20 minutes), slowly sipped the lemonade she’d purchased with it (there went another 10 minutes) and spent the final 20 minutes sitting and people watching before finally making the painstaking decision to go in.
Walking into the shop she had been cautious at first, making an attempt to avoid eye contact with anyone in the store, especially the noticeably vampire ones. Aislinn wasn’t vamp-phobic, not by any stretch of the imagination, she was simply perfectly comfortable in her little bubble named Normal. She would talk to a vampire if she had to, and even then it was the most minimalist conversation known to man kind, but she much better preferred to ignore them if she could. These days however, that was becoming a much more difficult task. Ever since their ‘coming out of the coffin’ as some liked to call it they seemed to have taken the world by storm, the next day (or at least that’s what it seemed like) having fully integrated into society and the human’s ways of like. After that nameless Japanese company had started selling Tru Blood and Bon Temps bars began carrying it, that was when Aislinn knew the vampires had truly arrived in her life. Thankful she had been able to keep them out of her personal world, more by comfort level then through any kind of fear or prejudice.
Skimming her fingers along one of the original Woodstock advertisement posters on the wall Aislinn walked the store, one white ear bud in and the tell-tale white cord (along with the other ear bud) creating a trail to her Ipod in the left pocket of her hoodie. Taking it out she cued up ‘Eyes on Fire’ by Blue Foundation before putting it back in her pocket. She faintly wondered how the store had come to collect all of these things and why they were willing to part with them (if they really were authentic). Maybe they bought them off Ebay from some defunct collector or maybe (and more then likely) they were all just close replicas of the real things, their models either long since destroyed by time or locked away in a museum somewhere. It wasn’t like it mattered much to Aislinn since she wasn’t planning on buying anything, but she doubts a few gullible people wouldn’t like that what they thought was an original Egyptian brooch from the Tut era was really a cheap metal beetle spray painted gold.
Turning away from the Woodstock wall Aislinn slowly made her way towards a wooden shelf along one wall, hoping to make it clear by the lack of speed of her walk as well as the fact she wasn’t rooting through the piles of things that she was just browsing and didn’t need any help. A flash of red caught her eye on one of the shelves, the flash coming from the rubies (fake, probably) set into their metal frames which were welded into the shape of a flower on a hair pin, something that Aislinn could picture 40’s women who had expensive tastes setting their sites on. Again, weither or not it dated all the way back to the 50s Aislinn didn’t know, but it was still nice to look at.

Belle was standing behind the counter unlike her first day there were more people hanging around the store. Well more vampires anyway and she noticed when a human walked in and made sure to watch carefully while ringing up the items and putting more up on exhibit. "Do you have any olden clothes, for male and female," she heard a human say. "I have anything and everything."Belle smiled noticing the one who just came in. She was touching some of the products and Belle hoped she either be getting something or planning on it. Belle danced to the music on her way to the back room in search of olden day clothes. She found a really pretty dress and a matching outfit for a man. She danced back to the lovely lady who asked. "I have this.""That works," the human smiled. Belle rung it up before dancing around the counter and towards some of her stock to put it up for her to get. She wanted the delicious ruby hair pin. "Do you need anything?" she asked the human though she noticed the signals. -------- Words: 186 Tags: Aislinn clothes Song: Into the Night by Santana and Chad Kroeger

Aislinn couldn’t help but jump when the woman walked up to her, having been engrossed in Rob Thomas’ singing in her left ear. Her fingers slipped and she dropped the ruby hair pin that she’d picked up, though luckily it didn’t have very far to fall and wasn’t particularly breakable. Swearing a bit under her breath Aislinn quickly apologized to the woman and bent to pick it up, holding the strap of her purse up so the large bag didn’t swing forward off her arm and knock anything else down.
Standing up she carefully set the hair pin back where it was as best she could remember it, now finally able to get a good look at the woman. She was definitely a vampire, that much was obvious. There was just something so…different about them, but weither it was the way they moved or the way they looked or simply their mannerisms that set them apart no one could quite put their finger on. She was pretty though, Aislinn had to admit that. Though Aislinn thought her dress must be horribly uncomfortable to wear to work, what with the platform red heels and semi-tight dress. But both things complimented her very well even if Aislinn thought she would never be caught in any state wearing that much sequins on one piece of clothing.
Tucking her hair behind her left ear she stopped herself from further looking over the woman before it became noticeable. She had noticed her when she had first walked in but hadn’t really paid her much attention, but now that she had asked her a question she would need to.
“Um…no…Thanks.” Aislinn replied with a small smile, hoping the vampire wasn’t too angry with her for dropping her merchandise, “I was just, uh, browsing.”
She was often that way with new people, nervous and standoffish. Perhaps that was part of the reason why she didn’t have many friends, but the friends she did have just clicked with her and she with them. It took anyone a while to thaw Aislinn out and warm her up to the idea of their presence, and even longer for anyone of the supernatural sort. It was nothing personal, it was just Aislinn. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ words ? three hundred seventy-three (373) muse ? still pretty good tags ? Belle watched as the young lady jumped and dropped the hairpin. She was happy when it hit and didn't break. Though still upset with the fact that she dropped a priceless item. She wanted this item and she was going to have it and that was the end of it. And as the young women put the hair pin back Belle took it. And held it in her hand while watching the young woman. She then looked at the item carefully. Inspecting for any marks, cracks. She wasn't going to sell an item that was broken But she would of made the young woman pay for it. Belle noticed the woman taking in her outfit. Though she tried to hide it. There are few things that you can actually hide from a vampire. And taking them in isn't one of those things. Now Belle made sure not to let the young lady know that. But still Belle took it in like she would if you were trying to show it. Now it was time for Belle to get mad. "Do you know how priceless this item is," she said in a even-toned voice. "It took me a while to find it. You should be glad it's fixed. Or you would of had to pay it off. With working here or cash." Belle looked around as many people were browsing. " Some of these things were mine,"she said while pointing towards the clothes. Ones that belonged to her back in her human years. Belle calmed herself enough into which she wasn't mad anymore and decided to help the young women instead. "But its okay. The pin is safe and your not hurt, so all is well."“Um…no…Thanks. “I was just, uh, browsing.”Belle picked up on the nervousness of the woman. She must not be a vampire person. Though Belle has always been able to change that. "Don't be so nervous darling. I don't bite i swear." It was hypothetical but true. Belle rather drink True Blood then a human. "I am the nicest you will ever meet." Belle remembered she never introduced herself fully. "I am Belle...Belle Rowan and you are?"-------- Words: 354 Tags: Aislinn clothes Song: Not available

There wasn’t really much for Aislinn to say while the woman ranted at her, telling her about how most of the stuff had belonged to her when she was a human and how nearly all of it was priceless. Even though the woman used an even tone through it Aislinn couldn’t help but feel five years old again, being scolded by her aunt for something she’d done. Aislinn couldn’t help but think that if things in the store were that priceless then they should be kept in a display case like most diamond jewelry or designer handbags were, not simply out on a shelf for anyone to come along and drop…just like she had.
She was a bit surprised by the woman’s 180 turn in mood once she was finished talking about the ‘priceless’ nature of the things she sold, probably sensing her nervousness towards her. Aislinn knew she wouldn’t bite her and often got the feeling that that comment was some kind of inside joke that most people took as a serious promise. Of course a vampire wouldn’t bite her in the middle of a store, or anywhere, come to think of it. Not with True Blood as prevalent as it was now-a-days.
“ Yeah, I know…about the ‘biting’ thing.” She said, making sure to correct herself for she had no idea if this woman really was nice, “And….It’s Aislinn Del Fleur.”
Her tone suggested she just wished she could end the conversation there and walk out of the store (or at the very least not have to say anything for the rest of it), but she couldn’t do that without looking very strange. Still, the woman seemed to be friendly enough after she had done her ‘not yelling’ yelling session, so her company wasn’t all that bad. Most vampires Aislinn had encountered (which were very few and far between) seemed to carry a ‘high and mighty, I’m better then you’ air about them, something that Aislinn didn’t like in anyone. Then again, it was partially true, vampires were superior to humans in some ways. Aislinn listened as her Ipod switched songs, turning the dial on the device down to lower the volume as the electric guitar in the song kicked in.

Belle watched as the young women malled over what she was saying. She was the nicest vampire and if you didn't believe that then you were a puny human afraid of what would happen.
"Well Aislinn, it is nice to meet you," she noticed more customers waiting to be cashed out. "Well I am sorry this has to end so soon but.....this is a buisness and I must get back." Belle bowed her head a bit before going out to help the many people waiting for her.
