It seemed as if the cold earth below warmed a little, but yet, that was impossible. No pulse to be found anywhere inside the graveyard, but that's typical for the resting place of the dead, and not so dead. The moon, full, fat and bright chartreuse, shone so bright in the sky that night that it's usual inhabitants had to squint and shade themselves from it's luminosity. Anouk rolled over on her back as she lay there on a grave, old soil and young grass littered the area; A small critter crawled around, a small rabbit of sorts. A smile spread across her face, Anouk now reaching her hand out towards the animal as it sniffed her hand briefly, but scurried off. Ah, life, it was something spectacular, yet it had been two millennia or so since she felt life course through her veins, but Anouk didn't mind at all.
The night was a symphony of sounds: the rustle of trees, the warm southern air, a few cars here and there out on the road. It was nice to be alone, for some odd reason, Anouk was in a very gregarious mood lately, but like all things it would soon pass. Again, that lovely, munificent moon was the target of Anouk's eyes, until something else stirred. Vampires are known for incredible hearing, and Anouk was no exception. Her figurative ears perked up as she heard something approaching, larger than a rabbit.

Alex's steps crushed dead leaves under their weight. He had come to the graveyard as a part of his investigation of the town of Bon Temps. To his surprise, he found yet another vampire among him. All of a vampire's senses were amplified, including their sense of smell. Anoushka, a woman who smelled of death (like all other vampires), did not go unnoticed to Alex. However, it would be up to her to find him. Alex was, even still, not the type of person to associate himself with everybody.
