Rose had been in the Shreveport/Bon Temps area for a while, it seemed as if she was going to settle here. So, she decided to get a job, of course it had to be at night, but so many people were hiring vampires now to attract tourists. It had been a couple of nights ago she had strolled past the little coffee shop she now stood outside. The Little Corner Drink Shop. Straightening her clothes, they had given her a light blue labelled shirt and dark trousers, she planted a smile on her face and walked into the place as a waitress for the first time.
She smiled at the customers, some following her with their eyes as she walked past. No matter how many times they seen a vampire they still look surprised. Depositing her overcoat in the staff area she found her notepad and a pen, then looked around herself. It fel strange to be serving people, but it wouldn't be the first time Rose had had to work, and she was hoping through work she could meet people and learn new things. Rose believed you could always learn something new if you looked hard enough.

Rylan was still a little wound from her shift. She grabbed a book and headed out to get some coffee. It had been awhile since there had been any quality 'me' time and since she wasn't close to being tired the shifter felt as if a warm drink and a good book were in order.
A customer had talked about this shop and said it was great. Rylan smiled as she pushed open the door. The place was cozy and inviting, just like a coffee shop should be. She spotted an open table in the corner and grabbed it before anyone could have a chance. Rylan noticed a beautiful woman walking around taking orders. This woman was too beautiful. That could only mean that she was a vampire. Rylan had only interacted with Pam so this would be interesting.

Rose was just about to go into the back when she head the door open. Turning around slowly, she had been told to try and act more human, she seen the woman grab a corner table. The new customer had a book in her hand, must be in to relax. She didn't think much when the customer looked at her a little longer, sometimes people could just spot a vampire and this is what Rose thought she had noticed.
Taking her notebook out of her pocket and the pen from behind her ear, she walked towards the table. Planting a happy smile on her face, Rose tried to look welcoming. Just as Rose approached the table a strand of hair loosened itself and fell in front of her face. Quickly tucking it behind her ear she turned to face the customer. "Good Evening, what can I get you?"

Rylan blinked a couple of times. "Oh, right. Uh I guess I wasn't really ready for you! Wow, has anyone ever told you that you are gorgeous? I am sure they have but I just thought you should know." Rylan smiled warmly at the vampire. "It's ok if you don't want to act like a saintly customer service rep around me. I work for Pam. I know how things are."
The shifter set her book next to her and scanned the menu. "I am not really sure what to get. This is my first time here. Do you know what is popular, since obviously you wouldn't drink any yourself!" She smiled again at the vampire waitress. The one thing Rylan knew for sure was she didn't want to make any waves. She was all to aware that her mouth was very capable of getting her in trouble on accident.
