“Not problem.” She said to Anya before making her way to the bar to begin setting up as people began to enter the bar, fully costumed.
A few minutes later after she was thoroughly engrossed in getting out drink glasses and things they were sure to need in abundance when she heard Damian’s voice. Looking up from the shelves of glasses under the bar she noticed immediately what he was wearing. She couldn’t help but blush (yet again, an action that was seeming to become common when she was around Damian) when he said she looked wonderful. She thought she looked like she always did, since it wasn’t as if she were wearing a fancy ball gown or anything nearly as revealing as the girl in the slave costume was or nearly as fancy as Brandy’s pirate costume was (which caused her to wonder if she and Sam were going to be matching) or nearly as silly as the guy in the full wolf costume was. She didn’t really see what was so wonderful about it but she was a bit amazing that they just happened to match, since she was pretty sure she hadn’t said what she was going to the part as the first time she had spoken to Damian.
“Oh, hey. Thanks, I guess. It’s not that great though, all of this is just my old stuff. Some of it is my dad’s though.” She said with a shrug and an ‘oh well’ kind of tone, giving herself a moment to notice that his jacket actually was an authentic part of a set of dress blues and not just the fake and flimsy jackets they sold at costume stores.
The boots and tags looked official as well, even though the tags clearly did not say Damian’s name (she really didn’t picture him as the type of guy to enlist).
“Can I get you a drink…or something?” she asked, figuring she might as well look like she was working.

The way she looked at her , Anya could tell she wanted to say something, but just as suddenly her attention was drawn away to Sookie and off they went to the parking lot.
Feeling rather awkward and out of place with all the store bought costumes and sexual forthrightness, Anya turned her attention to the girl who had come in dressed as a military brat and the man she stood next to. If she wasn't mistaken, his costume wasn't store bought. Her steps, making little to no sound as she walked, ventured over to Aislinn and the well dressed stranger.
" Pardon me, but you look very familiar. I'm new in town and I don't know many people. Maybe I've seen you around. I'm Anyanka. I work the afternoon and evening shifts at Merlott's."

Sam knew tonight was going to be a busy night. But he had truly underestimated just how busy it would be and how much it would distract him. He'd managed to take 5 minutes to get his costume and put it on. He gave himself a quick once over, the pirate costume actually looked quite good. Brandy definetly made a good choice, though he suspected he would have to ditch the hook every now and then if it got too busy, which by all indications were suggesting, would be the case. He walked back into the bar and there was Brandy. His eyes widened and his mouth fell open. There she was looking absolutely amazing and now he was starting to regret actually having the party. He walked over towards her and wrapped his arms around her slender waist. Giving her a soft kiss, "You look...wow. Just....my God woman."

Ahmose got out of his car taking his Egyptian Princess' hand. He was a slave for the first half of the party. And he began to enter the place. It wasn't as busy as normal, but he also wasn't planning on coming later either. He was here for Marajan and was going to stay for as long as she wanted. Ahmose opened the door to let his queen enter and following her. He noticed many people he had never seen. He noticed Pam and went that way. Pam was the only one he knew so she headed her way. "How are you Pam?"

Brandy let out a slight gasp as Sam wrapped his arms around her waist. She was blushing, but apparently she was bothered by something...
"You look...wow. Just....my God woman."
"Thank you"
Brandy looked at Sam, a smile on her face before she kissed his cheek and slipped out of his arms. Her phone was filled with text messages, and she took her phone out and stared at it for a few moments.
"Listen Sam... we need to talk..."
She paused for a moment, and slipped the phone back into her pocket.
"Later. For now, let's just enjoy the party."

Marajan enjoyed the time she spent holding Ahmose's hand towards the door. She was wearing the beautiful pink dress from Pam. And when she entered she noticed Pam. She was looking very wonderful. "Ahmose....I don't know anyone," she said as they were heading towards Pam. The only one she knew. "Hey Pam." She smiled up at the people around her. They were pretty in a wierd way, but pretty none the less. She liked there outfits, except the shifter in a booth looked over played. The were that was half-naked did it in a beautiful but wierd way.

Summer felt Evan's hands guide the long jacket off her shoulders and her green eyes twinkled. Her eyes met his and they shared a look. No matter how skimpy the outfit was, no matter how many perverts ogled her. Summer was all his and this outfit was as much for him as it was for herself.
"They did a good job on this place, I'm impressed."
"Yeah, they did." Summer pointed up to the display above the bar. "I love that." Summer's eyes caught a quick glimpse of Brandy and Sam. Sam looked like a typical Looney Tunes cartoon character, eyeballs on stalks, as he looked at his girlfriend. In fact Summer noted that there were a lot of couples there. Something in the water in ole Bon Temps.
"Wanna drink?" Summer nodded towards the bar. She was starting to get thirsty. Summer began to make her way over to the bar and scanned the room. "Still no Haylee and Adam."

Brandy felt tense under Sam's arms. Something didn't feel right with her at all. This was really not like Brandy, who had been so looking forward to this night and wowing Sam with her outfit.
"Listen Sam... we need to talk..."
Oh...not good. Sam didn't like the sound of the words or the way she kept looking at her cell phone. Something was definetly wrong and he was about to ask her if everything was okay when she spoke up again.
"Later. For now, let's just enjoy the party."
Sam nodded, if a little reluctantly. He would have much rather get to the bottom of whatever was bothering Brandy. He knew something was on her mind, no matter how much she tried to push it away. He'd get to the bottom of it eventually. "Sure babe, you coming to sit at the bar. I gotta get my ass behind there and serve people. No Summer to save me this time." he ended his words with a smile that totally poked fun at himself.

Adam had picked Haylee up from her hotel and was utterly lost for words. She looked absolutely breathtaking and he had a hard time just focussing on even speaking to her. He continually asked himself why this angelic girl would even look twice at him. He really didn't deserve her at all. Soon the Dodge Dakota truck pulled up outside Merlotte's Bar & Grill. Adam took the keys out and jumped out his side of the cab, and heading round to the passenger side to escort Haylee out. "If I had more money, I'd have hired something a little more suitable for you to arrive in." his husky voice, put his own insecure thoughts into words. Adam gave his El Mariachi costume the once over and grabbed his guitar case from the back of the truck. He reached his hand out to Haylee. "Ready Princess?" his face beamed at her. She really did look beautiful.

Post by Alcide Herveaux on Oct 24, 2009 23:46:32 GMT -5
(OOC Note: Hey Summer, hope you don't mind that I mention Summer inviting Alcide to the bar party bahaha)
He wasn't sure who originally got him to dress up the way he did tonight. A few friends from work mentioned to the top dog of Herveaux and Son he should be a sexy construction worker and he smiled and put the idea away with a nod. But the closer Halloween got, the more the idea got fixed into his brain. Amanda casually had mentioned it as well when he stopped into the Hair of the Dog one day. And that's when he did it.
Alcide had taken his orange and yellow construction vest, a pair of jeans, dirty brown boots, a yellow construction hat, and some gloves and put them on. It was very awkward for him to stare into a mirror to see his decently muscular bare chest pressing out of his working vest. Frickin' weird, but if it's what everyone suggested, then he wanted to make them happy.
Earlier in the night, he made a stop at the Hair of the Dog bar where there was a similar Halloween party. Of course, there wasn't that much dressing up as not a lot of Weres were the type to want to really stand out. They were just good old country folk that wanted to share a drink and a howl, nothing out of the norm, so Alcide didn't put on his sexy construction man costume for his fellow shifters and weres...
However, as soon as he left with sad goodbyes from his favorite bar, he headed to the dive that he had been to only once... only because Summer had invited him, and he considered Summer to be a prime ally, and wanted to make sure he wasn't blowing her off. Besides, the Barksdale airmen weres wanted to know what Summer was wearing as a Halloween costume, so Alcide had to report back to them the next time he saw them.
Also... he was hoping... just maybe... Kimberly would show up. Ever since the Debbie incident, not only did his passion for her grow but he was also scared for her. Seeing her face unbruised and unbeaten would put his heart at ease. Little did he know he'd see the person he least expected to see, his on and off... Debbie Pelt.
Alcide pulled up in his Ram, completely dressed in his costume. Tonight was a night to celebrate Jackson's hopefully newfound sobriety that he'd find once he embarked for the Greater Dreams rehab center for weres and shifters. It was strangely ironic that Alcide was going to party and drink it up, when that's exactly what they were trying to make his father NOT do. It didn't hurt to have a little bit of fun every once in awhile... Besides, he had already decided not to come into work the next day.
The giant-sized werewolf strode with a purpose into the already chock full bar. The intensive scents were extremely overwhelming. The scent hit him like a stack of bricks: werewolves, humans, vampires, shifters, faeries, witches? It seemed ALL of the spooks of Louisiana came out tonight. He wasn't too happy about the vampires, but he knew it wouldn't matter, he'd keep his d**n distance from the draculas.
As he was surveying the area, the first person he saw was Summer dressed as something he recognized from Star Wars. Her body was beautiful, and her costume was amazing... he wondered if this was how those nerdy fanboys felt when they saw a gorgeous woman dress up as their favorite character. He'd REALLY have something to tell the Barksdale boys... It would get their jaws dropping!
Just as he was about to go say hello to her, another familiar scent pounced into his nose. Debbie. His wits dropped, but not as much as they normally would, as he had just a bit of alcohol in him to keep his fear and other excess negative feelings at bay. d**n. If he got drunk enough, he might just make it through the night without pissing Debbie off and maybe even making good with her, at least for the time being.
Debbie did look very pretty, he had to give her that, although the costume didn't say much more than costumed super hero wh***. Oh well, she was still d**n hot in it. Maybe tonight... maybe he'd just let loose and be nice to her... they'd act like a couple again... maybe. He knew that he'd have to approach Debbie first. Dressed in his handsome attire, he made his way towards his were-lynx as quietly as possible.
It was now or never. He had to make his choice. Kimberly's scent wasn't in the air, he guessed he better act like a couple than. Alcide placed his hand on Debbie's exposed back behind her cape and smiled down at her. It wasn't an honest smile but he hoped it would do the trick.
"Debbie, it's good to see you here," Alcide whispered into her ear as earnestly as he could.
He was trying to tell her 'I'm yours for the night' without hitting the wrong nerve, and he wondered if he had done it correctly.

Thanks to some modern"tinkering," [pardon the pun] Haylee managed to summon her own costume into a reality. It was none other then a lovely, semi-silent vision of Tinker Bell! Suddenly, her agile fingertips began to flick at the ends of her costume, as a means of keeping herself a little occupied. All because of the silence within Adam's vehicle, that it became a little uncomfortable. In fact: It made her worry a little. Perhaps he didn't like the costume? Its the only thing that she could assume for why he wasn't speaking. A logical "thing," in terms of finding out would be: To ask. Haylee simply had to work up to it. However, they both had arrived sooner at Merlotte's then she planned. While the truck stopped, Adam jumped out from his side of the cab; Haylee thought to reach for her door handle and to exit. It kind of surprised her when the door was opened for her. Well, well! Knights in shining armor do exist and smiled upon being escorted out. Now she manged to blink and softly perked a brow, all while Adam spoke at long last. Noting that if he had more money, she could have arrived in something better. Money never really mattered to her, sure it could buy nice things; but that alone isn't enough. She gently shook her forehead, trying to offer a comforting reply. "I don't see anything wrong, I rather like trucks!" Soon after, it was probably now or never to ease into what could be a problem, or thought to be in her view. "Do you like my costume? You were, um silent before." Whew, it was all out now! Howver, Haylee tried to hide a tiny rise of a blush, upon hearing the word Princess. She couldn't understand why he called her that. "Pishaw," she tried to debunk it and gently accepted his hand for her; signaling that she was ready.

((OOC: as this is such a large thread could you please remember the posting order rule, otherwise characters can get lost, especially if they don't have the chance to post as often as some.))
Rose was so busy taking in the decor and all the hard work done by Merlotte's staff that she hadn't realised she had been standing at the door for so long. Gathering herself together she looked around, more people had arrived. A bit irritated sh walked quickly to the bar ordering a True Blood from whoever was behind the counter. There seemed to be a lot of shifters in the bar, interesting, it was strange with so many people here. Everyone's costumes were impressive, a myriad of different times and animals.

This is a rough posting order. New people that haven't posted yet can post at will - just try to remember relatively where you are on the list.
(If a character leaves the party please make a special note of it so I can PM the 'next' to post in the list)
With such a big thread, obviously, it is going to happen where people might post out of turn. The admins just don't want people falling behind too quickly so let's make this mostly an introduction thread.
It's in this, that I encourage people to make their own threads so that you can follow your own flow. I, for one, get bored if I have to wait 2 or 3 days for someone to reply so I can post - and that makes me very restless. So that is where I sit on the whole thing.
Anyway, without further ado - Here is a rough posting order.
- Brandy
- Sam
- Pam
- Anya
- Sookie
- Aislinn
- Damian
- Summer
- Evan
- Ahmose
- Marajan
- Adam
- Haylee
- Alcide
- Debbie
- Rose
Another Note: This is not an EXACT order, I have grouped the couples together - the one's most likely to need a flow the most. As I said, if your new, jump right on in and add yourself to the list. Thanks.
P.S. Anyone jump in now, we will 'reset' the order at whoever posts next. For instance, if Alcide does then hop on over Debbie, etc.

(Best make myself known)
After meeting up with Pam and buying the new suits he thought he would wear the second one to the party. Of course he refused to wear a silly costume, a vampire of his age and distinction would not lower himself by wearing such clothing. He entered the bar, sniffing the air and glancing around. He could sense Pam already and he felt like the night had potential. But then he sensed Ahmose and before he new it he could feel his anger rise.
He stopped himself and counted to ten, to keep control of his berserker rage. A technique he heard about on television and it seemed to work. He found himself calming down slightly. Though he had not seen Ahmose he could still sense and feel his presence. Jack moved across the room to other side of the bar, to put as much between him and his rival. A fight between the two would result in a bar wide blood bath, which might include some other vampires.
At least Pam was here, so perhaps something interesting might happen, as well as the witch he had a connection with. He leaned against a wall, watching the proceedings with a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. There were shifters here, though they seemed to be keeping in check. A lot of the costumes were ridiculous, the women dressed to show off as much flesh as possibly which Jack found to be a little boring, it left nothing to the imagination.
Dressed in his fine suit, he appeared a little out of place, but the vampire did not care at all. He was here to observe and if fun came to him then he would enjoy the night as best he could.

Pam had changed from her street clothes to her costume. As much as she loathed dressing up, Eric had said it was important to keep up appearances. They were the gimmick duo at Fangtasia and if the towns people wanted costumes, they would get costumes.
Fortunately, Eric had let her decide what they would wear. Since they normally didn't have an opportunity to lounge around, Pam decided they would be a wealthy couple from old Hollywood money. She got to wear a sexy robe and Eric would look like a playboy. It was the perfect pairing.
Eric said he would arrive later after tying up a few loose ends at the bar. Pam smiled to herself. This evening was ripe with potential. As she re-entered the bar, Pam noticed Jack leaning against the wall. He was wearing her other suit that she forced him to take and it made her happy. She liked pleasing herself and seeing him in that suit was very pleasing. As she started to cross to Jack, Ahmose came in front of her with Ms. Mary Jane in tow. They were wearing the outfits from her store and Pam was glad to say that any doubts she had were whisked away. Even if they hadn't been a handsome couple they would have looked amazing any way.
"Ahmose, Mary Jane. You look very good if I do say so myself. I hope you will come back soon. One can never have too many outfits." Pam was being polite of course. She didn't necessarily want him to come out but the lady was always welcome. "It is difficult to find things for these human traditions without feeling silly. We cleaned up nicely though. Wait until you see Eric."
