Raina strolled up to the front entrance of Merlotte's Bar feeling rather daring. She'd never been one for drinking but she'd driven past this place so much in the past few days since she moved in she was dying to check it out. Of course, from what she heard this town was somewhat Vamp friendly and Raina always felt it paid to have powerful friends when the FOS where tracking you.
She was wearing a tight pair of blue jeans and a fitted yellow t. Her hair was freshly dyed- a nice fiery red- but her grey eyes still hinted that she wasn't from around here. She looked nice. Nicer than she realized thanks to the lovely wee bit of fae blood in her system that she knew nothing about.
She was eager to find out about the flood, but it wasn't as if she could stroll in- the out of towner- and start asking people. Hopefully people would be gossiping about it loudly enough she catch a few tidbits.
She had a bag slung over her shoulder that acted as an oversized purse but inside it aside the personal belongings was a note book. The note book was filled with the signs she'd learned to look for when it came to other supes. She had a vague idea of some of the groups but having only knowingly been exposed to vampires it was still something she could only guess at. She fully planned on flipping out that note book and making a few notes about whatever she was hearing at the bar.
She found herself an empty booth amongst the busy patrons and waitresses. The sun had been down about 1/2 an hour now so she couldn't help wondering to herself what patrons here sported fangs. So far, she didn't see any Trueblood.
She slid in on the leather seat and was pleased to see a discarded menu from the last customer and picked it up. Southern food was so different than what she was used to. She scanned over the dishes wondering what she'd order, and wondering what she'd hear.

Summer hopped off her bike and grabbed her backpack from one of the compartments on the back. Making sure the brutish motorcycle was secure, Summer turned on the heels of her sneakers and rushed headlong into the bar. All the while grumbling to herself. "Not even supposed to be here." pushing the door to make it inside. Summer strode past a section of tables and into the back of the bar, heading straight for the staff restroom. Time to change from her civvies and into the trademark white t-shirt and black shorts of the Merlotte's staff.
Sam wasn't around, but he'd asked Summer to do a few hours to help him out. Summer was reluctant to do so, having a date planned with Evan that night. In truth it was just a night in with a movie, but it was time she wanted to spend with him so Summer agreed so long as it was a short shift.
Finally making her way out front, she relieved Terry of his temporary bar duties. Much to his visible relief. Summer patted him on the shoulder and gave him a small smile. "Go kick back in the kitchen. I can handle it from here." Terry didn't need to be told twice and he high tailed it into the back, giving his girlfriend and waitress Arlene a loving look as they passed each other.
Summer took her place behind the bar and began to take a few drinks orders. Her eyes scanning the bar, observing the customers was always a handy thing to do. Gives you an idea of what people are like. How they act when intoxicated. A girl sitting alone in a booth caught Summer's eye. Pretty with hair so red it made Arlene's look dull. But it was nice and suited the girl to a tee. There was something about her, something Summer couldn't quite place.
Summer shrugged the thought from her head, blaming an over-active imagination.

Raina couldn't make up her mind about a darn thing on the menu. It all looked pretty good but more than anything she felt parched. She hoped a waitress would come by soon. Or maybe she should go to the bar? Every bar was so different depending on where it was. It was hard to tell.
She caught a glimpse of a few waitresses in white shirts and black shorts with green aprons walking around serving others so she decided to wait on it. "This Merlotte guy sure likes skimpy uniforms." she commented to herself.
She leaned back in her seat and took in the atmosphere. There were gator skulls on the wall but that didn't shock her much, back home it was whale and caribou bones with polar bear and fox skulls. That kind of animal taxidermy stuff just sorta went with the territories.
while scanning around she saw an advertisement for a Halloween party. She creaked her neck and leaned a bit forward to get a better look. Started on Halloween at 8. Well... she thought abut it for a moment.
She did want to meet the locals and maybe if she was dressed up it would take the pressure off of being new. After all people came to parties to socialize. It wouldn't seem so weird to have a stranger looking to meet people. Being behind a mask would make it easier.
She smiled to herself. It was set then. Maybe if she could get up the courage to actually order something to eat, she could ask the staff about the party.

Belle was sitting in Jessica's house like normal, wondering what she was going to do. She wanted to meet sweet, nice humans and the best place was Merlotte's. And she was off, so she had all night to do whatever. She loved her job at Fangs and More. Belle was up at her closet in less then few seconds and looking through it all. She finally caught site of what she wanted. Her casual outfit she bought from Pam. Belle hoped in her car and headed towards her car and was at Merlotte's in about a minute. That was her favorite thing about being a vampire. Belle walked into the bar and noticed it was pretty busy with the upcoming Halloween party. And she noticed a human she never saw before and it was perfect timing for Belle to make a new friend. She walked up towards the pretty human. "Hey, I am guessing your new," she said sweetly. It was a small town and it was obvious when someone was new. "I'm Belle," she held her hand out. And remembered that this must seem weird. "Sorry for the out of nowhere thing. It's just me." And when Belle looked up she noticed Summer, the were who was friends with Brandy. Belle only saw her every once in awhile and the were didn't seem to like her much. So Belle stayed as far away as possible.

Raina looked up caught off guard that someone was speaking to her. Her gray eyes flashed, there was something almost un-natural about them. "uh, hello." she said. Her two word greeting giving away her accent and proving that she wasn't from around here. It wasnt hard to see that under that fiery red hair was a girl of a different place. She did her best to smile sweetly. Raina was a sweet person, but she hadn't expected to be approached.
"Belle." she repeated. "that sure is a beautiful name!" she smiled again, this time more sincere. "I'm Raina, and yeah just moved here from up North. Waaaay up North." she laughed.
She extended her hand to take Belle's and when she felt how cold it was she jumped a little. "Sorry." she said embarrassed "You're either from way up North too, or a Vampire with cold hands like that!" she teased to show that she had affection for Vampires. "You never can tell these days because it's pretty cold and dark up there anyway. Probably why all the Vamps like it"
Yay! Her first Vampire meet! But little did Raina know the teeny tiny bit of fae blood in her system may be the whole reason she was so likeable to vamps to begin with

Summer was minding her own business, serving drinks and generally just knuckling down to work. The door opened and Summer raised her eyes towards it and frowned a little as she saw the Vampire, Belle. Summer fought to roll her eyes, as she was the weirdest f**king vampire she'd ever came across. Always so d*mn chirpy Summer thought to herself.
The Vampire immediately made a beeline for the red headed stranger. This time Summer did roll her eyes. Poor girl just got bombarded little miss undead and perky. Summer shrugged, as it seemed the girl had no problem with the Vampire. So, as long as she didn't look uncomfortable Summer would let it slide.

Belle smiled up at the pretty human as she said hello, it seemed like she scared her. And Belle began to back away until she got a complement. "Ooo..Thanks," she said smiling. If she was still human she'd be blushing like crazy. "Raina is a very pretty name."
Belle couldn't help giggle at Raina's comment on her tempeture. "Sorry to tell you but I am from the South," she smiled fangs begining to extend to show her point but not in any other sense. Belle was a guy's girl and this women didn't turn her on in hunger or anyother way. She slid into the booth across from the pretty woman.
"What caused you to hit this small town," she said with a hint of curiousity. Belle had her reason's and she only told her darling best friend the true reason. To hide from her sister, for the rest it was because she was from somewhere around her but not sure the exact position. And she always stayed in the south.

Raina grinned at the Vampire joined her. She hoped it was a sincere gesture and not a -I-want-to-eat-you-for-lunch-gesture. Sure, she had a lot of vampire friends... but about half of them were made after they'd tried to eat her.
She laughed as Belle flashed her fangs. That didn't spook her at all. "well then we're polar opposites, born in the south, born in the north." dead. alive.
As much as she wasn't expecting someone to spontaneously greet her and that greeter be a vamp, she really wasn't expecting anyone to ask her why she came here. She hadn't even thought up her cover story. I think something supernatural caused your flood and I have a fixation on it didn't really sound like a good answer.
"I got a teaching job here, at the local high school. Say hello to Miss Keiko the music teacher." she waved her fork like a conductor. That was the truth, just part of it. "Can't believe I'm going back to school." she grinned.
She wanted to know so much about Belle. How long had she been a vamp? How'd she feel about the Vamps 'coming out'? Was she friends/enemies with any other supes? She doubted it was polite to ask someone who could kill you in an instant- no matter how cute- a bunch of probing questions. At least not right away.
"So, this is the famous Merlottes. Anytime I meet anyone they tell me I'll get everything I need from this place." she stretched back in the booth and motioned to the advertisement for the costume party. "I figured that would be a good way to meet more faces." she said motioning to it. "Know anyone who's going?" she asked.

Jason strolled into Merlotte's and took his usual seat at the bar. He noticed the girl behind the bar was cute and new. No doubt though that Arlene had given the new girl all the information to her or maybe even Sam had told her about his reputation. It was tough trying to settle down when you had so many choices.
Jason had to chuckle. He didn't know what he was complaining about though. He had Delaney right now and that girl was more than enough for him to handle. Jason slipped off his tool belt and sat it on the seat next to him with his hard hat.
"Excuse me miss, could you get me a beer when you have a free minute? Been a hell of a day." As he looked around things seemed different some how. Jason couldn't quiet put his finger on it but something had definitely changed. New waitresses and bartenders, new people living here, seemed that Bon Temps was expanding with out him and there was nothing he could do to stop it. "Dang, so many new things around here, how long have I been out of it?"

"Excuse me miss, could you get me a beer when you have a free minute? Been a hell of a day."
Summer nodded and smiled at the handsome blonde guy that came up to the bar. Though not really her type, as good looking as he was, he seemed a bit jock-ish. He was a labourer of some sort, just going by the hard hat and tools. "Sure thing, anything in particular. Or has it been that hard of a day you just don't care?" Summer couldn't help but ask, she was always taught to ask these things of customers.
He noted he was out of the loop in regards to the little town of Bon Temps. Summer quirked am eyebrow at him. "Been out of town?"

Belle cracked a lite smile at Raina while she waved down the waitress,"AB Positive please." She flashed her signature smile at the waitress and waited for Raina to order.
She looked towards the bar watching the waitress leave and saw Jason. She missed him, he was sweet and cute but Jess liked him. She couldn't go for someone Jessica liked.
"I used to go to school...well kinda.." She never liked it though and didn't enjoy the way it was. But she heard that they did it differently now and that made her crack a smile.
"Well maybe you should go. I'll be there in my old human clothes. Also if you want some ideas I know a great place," she smiled down at her delicate outfit. "It's ran by a vampire at the vampire hotel in Shreveport. I got this and many other things from there.
"Hold on..." Belle looked up and couldn't help but let her eye's linger on Jason. She got up and practically danced over to were he was. At the bar talking to Summer. "Hey Jason," she said giving him her smile.

Raina smiled at the waitress and ordered spicy chicken fingers and fries. Living in the cold for so long, Raina liked her food really hot. "An iced tea would be awesome too." she added turning back to Belle.
"I think I've got an old costume with my stuff." she admitted. "I'll have to rifle through."
She watched Belle wave to a Jason and had to admit her breath got caught for a second when she glanced him. That man was like a Greek statue. Song worthy even.
She shook her head and blushed a bit. yeah, that's right. Let's right some music about the first tall drink of water to walk in here.
"You sure do seem to know everyone Belle. I'm glad we've met"
she was feeling more comfortable about Belle now. It was clear a lot of people knew her. "How long you been in Bon Temps for?"

Damian was walking into Merlotte's yet again. This time he was wearing one of his outfit's from Pam. He wanted to see if Aislinn was working and if not, to met new people or see new people. When Damian entered the bar he noticed Summer, Belle and both were talking to human's he never met. And he wasn't in a mood to deal with Summer, he walked towards Belle. "Hello Ladies," he flashed a smile. "Belle would you mind introducing me to your friend?" He looked at the red head. Damian waved down a waitress,"A coke and burger." He didn't see his Aislinn so he would hang with these people. He looked towards the bar and nodded at Summer in a friendly gesture.

Jason smiled at the new waitress. "Sorry 'bout that. I always forget to mind my manners. I'm used to just sayin' beer and the girls bring it cause I am a regular 'round here." He rubbed the back of his neck almost embarrassed as he remembered the last few days rushing back to his place to spend time with Delaney.
His little shifter was working tonight with Pam, he hated to waste his fine cooking on himself. "I been busy the past few days so haven't made it in as much. You can hit me with a Bud if you don't mind. The name's Jason Stackhouse. You probably know my sister Sookie. She's a blonde waitress here, good friends with Sam."
Jason chuckled at her comment after a minute, always the last one to pick up on things. "I just seem to have one of 'those' lives. The guy who scooted by in high school playin' football 'an lookin' good. I guess we can't really help what we are though. There is a surprise around every corner...sh*t, I ain't even had nothin' to drink an' here I am spoutin' my mouth off at the nearest stranger." He rubbed his face to try and wake himself up.
"Don't pay no attention, I am the local moron of Bon Temps. Pretty girls get me tongue tied most days..." What the f*ck was he sayin'?! He smacked his head against his hand. He had to be the worlds biggest idiot. "Sorry 'bout that. No offense but I wasn't tryin' to hit on you. Force of nature I 'supose. Not that you aren't cute, you are, I am sorta seein' someone right now and I will shut up before I get in any more trouble."
Jason smiled worridly at the bartender. "Could I also get a burger Lafayette? I need somethin' to stick in my mouth besides my foot."

Summer smiled and nodded as he decided on a Budweiser, which Summer got and her ears perked up at the mention of Sookie. "Oh yeah, I know Sookie. I mean not well though" Summer extended her hand out to him. "It's a pleasure to meet you Jason. I'm Summer, the new girl."
"A football player huh?" Summer said through smirking lips. "I'd never have guessed." she said with more than a hint of sarcasm and a broad smile. Summer could never help herself, sarcasm was just second nature to her. It was never done in a mean way, at least not on purpose. Okay so if it was on purpose, the person it was aimed at certainly knew about it.
Jason began to ramble off on a tangent that would make Brandy proud. Summer let him get it all out of his system, not wanting to interupt the entertainment of his flow. "Oh I'm sure you're not a moron Jason." she winked at him cheekily, "at least not completely." Summer was flattered by his inadvertened admission that he thought she was cute. It's always nice to get a compliment. "and not to worry, I'm very happily taken. But I do appreciate the observation."
"Could I also get a burger Lafayette? I need somethin' to stick in my mouth besides my foot."
Summer nodded again, "No problem. I'll put that order through for ya." Summer spun on the heels of her sneakers and shouted into the kitchen for a Burger Lafayette. Terry grumbled but waved his hand to show he was on it. When Summer turned back to Jason, Belle was at his side grinning at him. Summer kept her distance, choosing to look for someone else to serve. Nothing against the Vampire herself, just Vamps in general.
