Eric approached the bar from his home right on time, as he did every night. He was excited this evening, more so than usual. Tonight he was going to have a chance to experiment with the shifter in his basement. Pam was already there warming him up for Eric.
Jessica had proven herself with the shifter but had been much too angry to tell them anything useful other than the puppy had wanted to rescue his sister. The last thing the male shifter had seen was Pam cradling Rylan in her arms. Eric couldn't blame the shifter for reacting the way he did, it just wasn't the way things were done around here in his area.
Eric pulled the car into his spot and began to whistle as he shut the car door. He walked into the main entrance of the bar and winked at his human waitresses. They giggled at him and asked how his evening was. Eric replied with his usual flirt mentality. They scurried off blushing to finish getting the place ready to open. He quickly removed his jacket in the office before preceding to the basement to join Pam.
His favorite vampire was leaning against the wall as if she was propping it up with her foot and back. She smiled at him as he came down the stairs. The shifter was sagging against the chains but had long since given up trying to break them. "Pam did you wear him out already? I am sorely disappointed. I thought he might be more of a fighter." Eric knew he had been fighting this whole time and even now while the blonde viking had been speaking, he could feel the rush of power right below the shifters surface. "You are desperate friend, do not be foolish. As soon as we have what we want you are free to leave. I swear it on my soul, that is if there is even any left."

Vaughn looked up into the eyes of a viking. They pierced through him like ice. He didn't know how long he had been down here since the female blonde vampire, now known as Pam (or as the red headed vampire had called her 'the old lady') came in and that night and rocked his world. He was tough but he wasn't prepared for the undead's true strength.
Vaughn would have probably been able to escape if Pam hadn't walked in. He was lucky to have escaped that alive. Or maybe she had actually held back, to save him for this fate. He looked up and smiled. "Let's just get this over with. I can't stand one more minute looking at your ugly face." Vaughn lowered his head and coughed. It racked his body with pain. His ribs were healing but they were still broken. The vampires had been feeding him but for some reason didn't want to let him leave. The male of the pair hadn't been down before this night. He must be pretty important to not bother with an appearance.
"If you even care, I ask only one thing, please do not kill my sister. She had nothing to do with me acting out. This wasn't even her idea" Vaughn coughed heavily and shuttered again. This was going to get worse before it got better.

Pam snickered. This man had been fun to play with. She enjoyed those strong willed and could fight back. Pam tilted her head side ways. "Die? You think we want to kill you? Oh little shifter, if we wanted you dead, you would be. I don't waste my time bringing food and water to those we want to kill. We just need some information."
Pam walked around to the front of the shifter and knelt down. She placed both hands on the sides of his face and licked his forehead. Pam pulled away and smiled at Eric. "He had a cut, needed to clean it." They were going to try and wipe this guys mind of his entire stay here with out sending him to the funny farm. She didn't know how long it would take or if it would even work but Eric most definitely wanted to try. That man, always wanting what he can't have.

Eric arched an eyebrow. "Why would I kill your sister? She works for my dearest Pam, with your other sister. Did you know that she found us? Delaney and Rylan are both beautiful women, very resourceful and charming. They are my eyes and ears in the shifter community. I would never kill them, they are of value."
He stood and went over to Pam. "Greedy girls get punished, no snacking on the captive." Eric was very serious but he couldn't help but smile at his subordinate. She was ruthlessly loyal and always blood thirsty. He clucked her under the chin. "Vaughn, what I am curious about is why exactly you would attack my girl Friday here. The Fellowship of the Sun should know better than to send a puppy into the snake pit."
Eric squatted down again and yanked Vaughn's head back. He hissed at the shifter and his fangs were fully exposed. "Tell me exactly what the Fellowship is getting ready to do here and I will give you your freedom. Lie to me and I promise this snake will swallow you whole."

Vaughn laughed hoarsely "You must be joking, either that or I am delusional. I would never throw my lot in with those bigots. They are the main reason I had to leave my pack. I'd rip out their throats if given the opportunity." Vaughn rarely spoke like this but he was too tired and hungry to care about being politically correct. "As for attacking your girl, she was holding my sisters' lifeless body. I only attacked because I thought she had killed my sister. They were supposed to be under my protection and I failed them. I was striking for revenge."
His body convulsed as he coughed again. "If you do not believe me that is your choice. What I have said is true and there isn't much I can do to convince you otherwise." He hoped that his death would be swift. This treatment was almost too much to take.

Eric studied the shifters face. What he had said was true. The guy had been racked for the past month and there was nothing holding him back. The shifter felt like death was near and obviously didn't care any more. He looked up at Pam and smiled. "I think this one will serve a greater purpose, just like the other two. Shall we begin our experiment?"
Eric rolled up his sleeves and placed both hands on the side of the shifters face. "Do not look away from me. There is nothing to fear. You are here because Pam saved you from certain death, it was the Fellowship of the Sun." He could feel the shifters shoulders begin to shake. The shifters will was strong. "You must let go of all your stress. If you do not relax, Pam and I can not help you get back to your sisters." He could feel Vaughn's mind slowly empty out. "That's perfect. Just relax. Delaney and Rylan will be very excited when they see you! Pam and I rescued you from the Fellowship of the Sun. We know your sisters have been looking for you in Bon Temps. You should go there. Let them know we helped you. Say it out loud, Pam and Eric rescued me from the FOTS."
Eric repeated this phrase over and over until he was satisfied. He slowly stood up. "Its time for you to sleep Vaughn. When you wake up, you will remember nothing of your time in the basement. Go to sleep now." He smiled at Pam. "Make sure he is comfortable in his room at the hotel. In fact upgrade him to a suite on the opposite side of his sister. This is a game I can't afford to lose." Eric had big plans for Vaughn and the didn't involve any f**k ups.
