Pam had called his hotel room and said she had some information for him about his sister's abductors. Eric had been having problems with the FOTS for some time now and it seemed like what happened with Rylan was a result of this single minded cult.
He sneered at the term. They called themselves Christians but the were nothing more than a judgmental group of a**holes. They were one of the reasons he and his sisters couldn't have a normal life with their pack. His pack was old fashioned though anyway and felt like the 'cubs' should start conforming to the old ways. It was a ridiculous notion to ask a modern day person to live in the dark ages. Vaughn wasn't against everything the pack stood for but he did feel like if he had become pack master that he would have opened the pack up to a brighter future. It was sad to know what he had to give up in order for his sisters to have a future.
Vaughn took a seat at the bar and waited. That was the rub though. His sister's meant more to him than anything and he wasn't about to let them be destroyed by something that wanted to destroy something else. Hopefully Pam or Eric would show up soon. After finding his sisters after being in a coma for a week he was anxious not to be separated from them for too long.

Pam quietly crept up behind Vaughn. She smiled and placed both hands on her shoulders. He was gorgeous even for a shifter. If she could stand the smell Pam would have seriously thought of perusing him.
"Hello sweetling. You waiting for me? I really hope so because if not that means you forgot your meeting with Eric and myself and he would not be pleased. I seriously doubt that though." She flagged down the bar tender and received her True Blood. Pam took a sip as she sat down on the bar stool. She smiled at the shifter. "Here comes the head boss now."

Eric approached Vaughn and Pam sitting at the bar. He smiled at his second. She always had the strangest sense of humor. "Vaughn, always good to see you in good health. I am sure you are wondering why I called you for this meeting. I will be very honest with you. I need you to go to Dallas for me."
The old viking sat next to Vaughn and smiled wickedly. "Last time we went to Dallas, it was to find some one, this time, I just need to learn whats going on. Unfortunately the people I need information on, know my face. Fortunately, I always have a second face to show." Eric winked at Pam. The shifter was in for a shock of a life time. Vaughn was getting ready to be thrown head first into the political world of the vampires. It was the least the shifter could do for Eric for sparing his life.

Vaughn felt her cool hands touch his shoulders. He turned his head slightly and smiled. "Pam, always a pleasure." She was beautiful and seemed to genuinely like him. It was a disappointing thing that she was a vampire. She would make an excellent mate for some one.
He bristled when he heard Eric speak and then his jaw dropped when he was asked to go to Dallas. "OK, well I appreciate the frankness but why do you need me to go to Dallas? Who exactly am I spying on? Are you suggesting that I am to go alone or is someone coming with me?" Not that he disliked being alone, just lately after everything, Vaughn would really like the company.
