What a quaint little place this is. Cora stepped into this seemingly ordinary restaurant and paused for a moment to take in her surroundings. She was wearing one for the dresses Pam had picked out, and one look at the costumers told her she might be overdressed but she usually overdressed anyway so she was used to it. In this area she had overheard people talk about this place a lot and decided to satisfy her curiosity and check it out. It only took her a moment to see why it was worth coming. With one inhalation of the air she could smell the scents of vampires, shifters, and even a pinch of magic or two. Even if most traces were stale, the fact was that this place seemed like a portal for supes. What an interesting find this little area of Louisiana was turning out to be. Cora smiled at this revelation as she headed toward the bar because she could quite literally meet anyone tonight, in any shape or form. She slid gracefully onto a barstool and tucked one ankle behind the other. She leaned her elbows onto the counter and spoke to a server that approached her. “I’ll have a true blood, in a glass if you please.” She never understood why more vampires never requested glasses it was so much more dignified than chugging it from a bottle as if it were beer. But still this method was only second best to actually sucking from a body. “Any type that is freshest.” She never had a preference of type because to her it didn’t matter; real blood only tasted the best. (ooc: if somebody wants to be the server I'm down with that, I just sort of assumed at the moment so that I would hav ea little interaction and not just be hanging )

Jessica strutted into Merlotte's for what seemed like the first time in a hundred years. She hadn't been here in a while and she missed it - all the regulars drinking and eating, the waitresses taking orders, and the bar owner looking over it all. Tonight, Jessica was wearing a new outfit Pam had put together especially for her and she could not help feeling self-conscious. The purple clutch in her hand was bulging and her head band sat perfectly on her red hair. She already felt a few eyes on her and she smiled a coy but confident smile. Her own eyes were looking for Sookie or someone she knew so they could maybe talk and have a few bloods. Maybe even rec some havoc. Jessica's eyes soon fell on a girl sitting alone at the bar in a very pretty outfit. Something inside of her told her that this girl was also one of the undead, or whatever they call Vampires around here. Seeing this as an opportunity to make a new friend, Jessica began to make her way over to the girl. When Jessica reached the bar, she sat down a seat away from the other Vampire. "Hi!" She greeted brightly. "I'll have a B positive please."

Cora looked to her side at the other vampire that had spoken to her, this was acceptable. She was a pretty little thing, cora had always been a fan of redheads. But she was young to the world of vampire, Cora could almost sense her fresh strength and energy.
She gave a small coy smile back. "Well hello there. I am Cora and if I do say so myself that looks like one of Pam's creations." Her eyes moved up and down her outfit recognizing the expensive and pretty fabrics that were Pam's style. If it wasn't Pam's out fit perhaps Cora shoudl let her know that there was competition in th area somewhere.
She recieved her true blood in a red wine glass. She smirked at the server. "Cute."
She took a dainty sip then looked at the girl again. "You're a young one I see. At the bottom of the totem pole, poor girl. Well stick with me and maybe we can climb the ladder together." She gave a wink.
It was unlike her to be so generous to such a young one but this vampire seemed to have some inteligence and dignity despite her age and Cora admired that as a good foundation.
(ooc: about the the whole status thing, she is not trying to be condesecnding it's just that status and age mean a lot to her, she is just stating facts haha)

Jessica felt one of her eyebrows twitch as she watched the other Vampire be served a Tru Blood...in a wine glass. Well, hell. I've never seen that before. She thought to herself before realizing the other Vampire had spoken, obviously thinking Jessica had just talked to her. "Oh...hi." She smiled and then looked down at her outfit. "Yeah, it is one of Pam's creations. She's the best!" Jessica exclaimed and then she received her own Tru Blood. "Thanks!" She said to the server and turned back over to Cora.
"Totem pole?" She asked curiously then thought about it for a second. "Umm, I guess that's one way of looking at it. I mean, I've never thought of it that way before." She said and took a sip of her blood. "Sh.it! I just realized I never introduced myself to you! I'm sorry! I'm Jessica. Nice to meet you." She said and wondered what the custom was when two Vampires met. Do we shake hands? Nod? Jessica wondered. Bill has never informed me of that part.
Jessica smiled and said, "Sure, that sounds good. I could use some more friends. Being in a bum-f**k town like this, it's very easy to get bored. Unless we, you know, spice it up." She giggled and took a sip of her 'B positive.'

Cora arched one eyebrow as she heard the girl cursing. Hmmm myabe not as dignified as she thought, well she had potential, good looks and good style until she opened her mouth.
"Well Jessica it's nice to meet you." Cora extended her hand for a handshake, most vampires didn't do this but she was a business woman by default so she thought this was a better way to gain trust. She wasn't sure if she wanted to accept the burden of taking this one under her wing just yet but she could entertain herself with some polite conversation for now. Plus her maker shoudl be the one straightening her out.
"So what is your maker like? I am hoping he/she is still around considering your relative age."

Jessica's eyes fell down towards Cora's extended hand. It was as if she heard her question and was answering. Looking back up again, Jessica reached her hand out and shook Cora's hand and smiled. This woman was pretty cool so far. Hopefully we can be friends or something. Jessica thought then wondered if Cora 'heard' that too.
But then Cora's question caught her completely off guard. "Oh, my maker? Well, he was with me the first few months but lately he hasn't been around." She explained happily. "Thankfully. He was so controlling! I mean, overwhelmingly controlling! Like a freakin' bodyguard or something. It was horrible! But like I said, he's been gone for sometime now and it's like I have total 100% freedom." Jessica giggled and took yet another sip of her blood straight from the bottle.
"So, ummm...what brings you here to Bon Temps?" She asked curiously, setting down her blood and turning her body ninety degrees so she was facing Cora and crossed her legs.

Cora's eyes looked down as she crossed her legs. "So your maker is not around, I never would have guessed." She said sarcastically then smirked at her own private joke.
"I'm from Florida actually. Orlando, you know the tourism capital. But I wasn't making any headway there so I'm trying my luck here. Only time will tell if I made the right decision. This place is sure different than I'm used to." Her eyes scanned the locals, though Florida was technically more south, the area here was much more southern.

Jessica felt one of her eyebrows twitch again as Cora smirked. She's definitely unlike any other Vampire I've met. She told herself, her thoughts leaving the room for a minute. "I never would have guessed either. I mean I'm practically never out of his sight but one day he just up and left. It's confusing but whatever. Like I said, I'm not complaining." She smiled this time and rested her elbow on the bar.
"Florida? Wow! That sounds really cool! I'd love to go to Florida but that might be difficult now." She said, indicating that she'd burn like waffles in a way too hot toaster. "I mean, unless it was night or something. So, Florida...Orlando and Bon Temps are very different?" Jessica was intrigued now and once she was intrigued, it'd be a long time until she'd stop.

"Oh sure Orlando is very different, full of theme parks and resorts, huge hotels on the coast. Great money maker," She smiled wistfully, "If only the higher-ups cut you a piece of the pie."
She took another sip of her blood. "So are there any other vampires around here that you hang out witht that you recomend as good company?"
(ooc: sorry it's short I'm having a brain fart haha)

((It's no problem. ) Jessica's intrigued state increased as she listened to the description of Orlando. It sounded...amazing. "Whoa, that sounds like paradise...or heaven!" She swooned, imagining her and all her friends staying there doing it all - going to theme parks, staying up until dawn in hotel suites, watching the sun... With that thought in mind, Jessica quickly came back to reality. "Oh, I hope." She said and put all of her fantasies behind her. "Well, there's my best friend Belle, who's a blast. We never run out of things to do. Ummm..." Jessica trailed off in thought. It suddenly hit her that Belle was her only Vampire friend. "Well, I mean I'm friends with humans too, you know?" She asked, resting her hands around the bottom of the blood bottle carelessly.

"Humans too you say. Well I've had relationships with humans too but I wouldn't quite call them 'friends'." She grinned mischeviously.
"But I haven't done any hunting or 'relationship' hunting since I've been here. I'm scoping things out first. But one does get tired of the bottled stuff." She clinked her glass with one of her french manicured fingernails indicating what she meant. She had a small smile on and her fangs lengthened just the tiniest bit as she remembered some of the past 'relationships' she had had.

"Yup, they're cool...for the most part." Jessica said and then took another sip of her blood. "Oh, really? That sounds cool. What was it like?" She had been wanting to create a relationship of her own with a human, namely Jason, and maybe Cora could give her some tips or advice.
Jessica looked over at the glass again. Cora was definitely unlike any other Vampire she'd ever met. For one thing, Jessica had never seen blood in a glass. For another, she lived in Orlando! "Oh, well I'll keep that in mind." She said and took another sip. "It's not everyday people tell me stuff like that." Jessica said, completely unfazed by the appearance of Cora's fangs.

"Well that's exactly what your maker should be teaching you, if he was around. I should take you hunting sometime, show you what being a vampire can really be like. 'What's it like' you say." She shook her head and gave a small chuckle before taking a sip from her glass. This poor vampire was missing out, maybe she should do her a favor and show her what she was missing.
She put her glass down and looked at Jessica. "You'd be surprised what we vampire women can be capable of if only we unleash it." She had a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. She wondered if Jessica would take the bait and want to learn from her. It was almost like having a childe of her own but that thought panicked her so much that she quickly shoved it away. She was simply helping out this poor young vampire, she convinced herself.

Jessica's eyes bugged out completely and she felt herself bouncing in her stool in no time. "Oh yes! Please, yes! Let's do it!" She really needed to get out and feed from some humans. She had done it once with Eric and Pam but then she was sent back to Bill. "Not this time!" She shouted out loud, then realized she had said it out loud. "Sh.it... Did I just say that out loud?" She asked, looking around then blew it off and laughed. "Oh well!" She said again and looked over at Cora to see the older Vampire was looking at her with mischeif.
"Surprise me." She said, just as mischievously. "I like surprises. Actually, let's go right now! Let's go pick up someone at the gas station or something!" Jessica soon dissolved into a fit of laughter as the memory of her feeding off of that truck driver came back. Man, his blood sure did taste good. She thought in happiness.

Cora rolled her eyes at this overzealous display but smiled afterwards. "Yes perhaps it would do you good to burn off some energy."
She thoght for a moment then shrugged. "Alright now is as good a time as any. But we certainly wont be going to any gas stations for a meal."
She pushed away her glass that still had a a little true blood in it. She pulled soe money out of her cleavage and set it on the counter to pay for her drink. It was a slightly lowclass thing to do but she really despised being weighed down by carrying a purse. Stood stood from her stool and casually staightened out her dress.
"Alright young one, follow me and we'll take a turn around town." She began to stride out of there, hopefully Jessica was behind her.
(Uh....give me a moment to think up a situation then I'll pm you with which thread we'll continue this in haha)
