Dear Diary,
Why the hell am I writing a dairy? Maybe it’s this small town atmosphere that is getting to me. In my boredom I will write about myself, it is my favorite subject after all.
Anyway it’s fall in yet another year of my life. I am here in Shreveport Louisiana because I left Orlando Forida. It’s been a little over two years since Michael died and my nest mates and business partners still didn’t have enough confidence in my abilities to give me more authority. So I’ve decided to leave them entirely and start from scratch. It is frightening making something out of nothing if you haven’t been at the bottom for a long time but I wont admit that to anyone because fear is weakness. Right now I am staying at the local vampire hotel but soon I hope to find a more secure place to slumber.
I am planning to meet the local sheriff so that I do everything by the book and don’t get myself into trouble before I’ve hardly been here.
Dear Diary,
I met the Sheriff Eric Northman last night. He owns a prosperous bar for tourists and fangbangers. I must remember this because though a majority of the humans looked pathetic some looked good and I should go there if I need a coax out a quick meal.
But surprisingly what I remember the most from the meeting is not the sheriff himself but his beautiful second, a blonde vampire. To my disappointment she didn’t tell me her name but I am determined to find out somehow. She was coy, confident and absolutely irresistible.
Dear Diary,
Success! I found out her name. I was asking around about possible job openings, which is not an easy feat I might add, I seem to be somewhat intimidating. Go figure. Anyway I got wind that my unique blonde vampire, who I found out is named Pam, actually owned a store and might hire me. I went in and luckily she was there. She hired me and gave me some adorable clothes to boot, this is the best job I could think of for myself so at the moment things are going well.
The only rain cloud was that the store manager is a shifter. Yuck. We’ll see how that turns out but I am making the sacrifice so that I can still work with Pam. I am surprised that one such as this confident vampire allows a shifter to run her store but this shifter must have some worth that I cant yet imagine. I haven’t met the shifter yet but when I do I will make my own judgments.
I really like this Pam and I hope I can gain her trust and esteem. She seems like just the type I would get along with and I hope someday I can see her outside of work, I think we could have some fun. Perhaps we could go hunting together. I’ll work on that.
