Full Name:Vice Mae Lewis
Age:17
Member Group:(if you choose human, please say what kind of human...or a shifter, what kind of shifter, etc.)Shifter: Red Fox
Character History: Vice was abandoned in a hospital in southern California. She knows nothing about her parents, but has conceived many theories. She spent most of her life jumping from foster home to foster home. By the time she learned that she was a shifter she gave up on finding a family, despite how much she wanted one.
When she was twelve while she was wandering the streets she encountered a homeless man with a guitar. The struck up a conversation and after pulling some strings(no pun intended) she acquired a guitar of her own and he taught her everything he knew about the instrument. Music became the only outlet in her life. The homeless man, whose name was Alec, was the closest thing she had to a family. He was the only one who knew what she was.
When Vice was fifteen, Alec shot in a drive-by. Vice became overwhelmed with sorrow, which she covered up with anger. Eventually, her councilors decided that a change of scenery would be best for her. That’s how she ended up in Louisiana. For a while she became very zombie-like, doing everything she was told. However, she’s starting to snap out of it. For now she’s just working her way though school, looking for a job, and waiting for her eighteenth birthday.
Personality in Two Steps:
Vice is very secret. As a general rule she keeps to herself. She doesn’t know of any shifters and it makes her feel like a freak, which makes her situation all the worse. However, if you can get Vice to open up she’s bright, fun-loving, and artistic. Her exterior says she’s full of angst and confusion, and that’s only partially true. She changes her hair and wardrobe quite often. She tells herself this is because she can change what she is, why shouldn’t she be able to change how she looks as a human?

This wasn’t her first day at a new school, but with any luck it would be the last. With the exception of college of course. Just looking around it was obvious that Vice wouldn’t fit in. That, of course, wasn’t the unusual and it should have been expected. After all, she was a southern California orphan with flaming crimson hair wearing ripped denim shorts, black chucks, and a Placebo tee shirt. Her new foster parent, an old, but kind woman, bid her farewell and wished her a good day at school before driving off.
Eyes were already on her and she scowled before shrugging her shoulders and advancing for the building, not making eye contact with anyone, only diverting from her course when she found her locker. She stared at it for a moment before a boy about her age asked her if she knew how to use a locker before laughing and joining his friends, who all wore letterman jackets like himself. She made a face before yanking the locker open. This was even worse than the prep school with required uniforms that she attended for about a year. She had no idea a place could be so disgustingly conservative.
Vice gazed at the empty interior of her locker before slamming it shut, glancing at her schedule, and advancing to her first class. English. Should have been easy enough. Once in the classroom her wordlessly handed her teacher a note saying she was new. She was given a book and pointed to her seat. ’At least they’re not poorly funded.’ Vice thought to herself as she thumbed through her text book, which was relatively new. The teacher had mad a mistake of writing the homework assignment on the board. Vice sighed when she saw it, happy to be with something comfortable. The pages were a review of Edgar Allan Poe’s life. That was far too easy.
A bell distracted her from the pages and the classroom had filled without her noticing. However, she paid it no mind. In order to humor her teacher, she acted as if she were paying attention to the lesson. But really, she just wondered if she’d ever find any friends here. She definitely wasn’t in Los Angeles anymore.
