"Yeah" Kyle said to the clerk, bending down to pick up his basket again. The man began walking back towards the checkouts, presumebly wanting them to follow, so he gestures for the female vampire, who still remained nameless to him, to walked ahead of him. He had been brought up to let the ladies go first. "You know, I've always been curious. Do those TrueBloods taste like the regular, coppery stuff?" He couldn't imagine coppery tasting blood to be...tastey, but maybe when you became a vampire your tastebuds changed too.

"To be completely honest, I said it tasted like s.hit* the first time I tried it. But I had to get used to it and it sucked..." Jessica broke off then, biting her lips to keep from laughing out loud. After she calmed herself down, she picked up the blood and continued, "because that's all we can eat, well those who mainstream. Anyways, there's different flavors as you can see," She motioned to the Tru Bloods behind her as she walked to the counter, "and with time you get a favorite flavor, if you will, and just, you know, drink it." Jessica knew she sucked (pun not intended) at explanations, especially with Tru Blood.
((*I have to spell it that way because other ProBoards will automatically switch it to 'nuts.'))

Kyle listened intently to her explanation, not quite managing to stifle a giggle at her unintended pun of the TrueBlood 'sucking'. Usually Kyle was the one to say double éntenre's like that. They were approaching the only open checkout and Kyle let Jessica go ahead of him and pay for her things first. "Well, I suppose a bit of variety helps some, or else you would get bored. Though...can I ask what the difference between human blood and TureBlood is? Like...is human blood sweeter or something...?" He wasn't quite sure if this was a question that was usually asked of a vampire, but Kyle had a morbid curiosity about this stuff.

Jessica nodded as she put her things up on the counter. The clerk began to ring them up. "Real blood is more appetizing then fake blood, obviously. But, I don't know what makes blood real and blood fake. Maybe if it's in an actual body," as she said this, Jessica was looking over him. She could see the veins in his neck but she kept her ground. "90 dollars," the clerk said, interrupting them. "D.amn, this s.hit is expensive!" Jessica pulled out her wallet and slid the debit card Bill had trusted her with. As she entered the pin in the machine, the clerk was putting the Tru Bloods in a bag. When he was done, Jessica smiled and said, "Thank you." She picked up the bag and stepped aside so the guy behind her, whose name she had yet to learn, could pay for his food and drink.

Kyle grinned as he moved to run his own items through the checkout. "Maybe it taste's better if there's a body associated with the blood. More...sensual, I suppose" He said, an eyebrow raised inquisitively. He knew that the total for his items wouldn't be more than a twenty, so he gave the checkout person a twenty pound (In from the UK) note and took his change, not really looking at how much he got back as he pocketed the money and took his bags of goods. "By the way, I still haven't gotten your name. Kyle" he said, shuffling his bags into one hand and offering the vampire girl the other.

Jessica nodded. "That is definitely one way to put it," she said and laughed again. "Oh, my name is Jessica, nice to meet you, Kyle." She said, moving her own bag from one hand to the other and shaking his. "So are you visiting here in Bon Temps or did you move here? Cause that certainly wasn't American money, Jessica motioned toward the pound that was in the cash register now. The clerk was staring at both of them now, his eyes saying "Leave now."

(OOC - I used pound cus im from the UK, Kyle's from america lol. But i'll just brush passed that part ) Kyle gave her hand a nice shake, not a firm one he would give a potential enemy, and not a vigorous one either, because then he would look like a weirdo. He took his hand back and redistributed the bags to try and even out the weight between his two hands and, seeing the glare from the checkout attendant he started heading for the door. "Maybe we should get outta here before he starts shouting or something" He whispered, so the man wouldn't hear him. "And I live her, I moved in with my grandmother when...my parents died." He finished quietly.

She smiled as they shook hands and was starting to like this guy, not romantically but as a person. She looked back at the clerk, who was shooting daggers, turned back to Kyle and nodded. "You're right," she whispered back. She noticed his tone quieted as he mentioned his parent's death, it must've been hard. "Oh, I'm sorry." She said realizing she shouldn't have asked.

Kyle shrugged it off. It had happened years ago, so there was a lot less pain than there was back then. It was still sad that his parents were murdered like they were, but Kyle's gotten over it. Though every now and again the pain was come back again, if only for a short time. His parent s may be dead but Kyle still retained the memory of them, and now he was without.
"It happened a long time ago." He said, finishing that line of conversation just as the automatic doors of the store had opened and let them out ino the cold air of the night. Kyle sighed, enjoying the abrupt change in temperature, at first, but after a few seconds he was zipping his coat up. It was a bit colder than he thought.

Jessica was completely unaffected by the cold, obviously, but she nevertheless pulled down her plaid skirt a little bit. "It must be hard," she began, "at times. If you don't mind my asking, what did happen to them?" She was a bit curious, naturally, but completely cool if Kyle did not want to talk about it.

He supposed if he was in her position he would be curious as to what had happened to her parents. Kyle was a naturally...inquisitive, well, nosey person. He sighed and looked over at Jessica. "Bad vamps got them. Luckily I was here when it happened" He told her bluntly. That was the reason why he himself hated vampires at first when they 'came out'.

Jessica knew that his parents being killed by Vampires would create some awkwardness between them. Nonetheless she kept her cool and showed sympathy for his loss. "Wow, it must have been hard to accept our, I mean, Vampires." She said solemnly, correcting her mistake. "Why were you here and not with them?" She asked again, trying not to be annoying but she was probably failing at that task.

Kyle shrugged, "Well, at first I was angry because I suddenly knew what killed my parents. At that point I hated vampires. But over time I realised that it was individuals, not the whole...species that killed them. I've had to learn to put up with biggotry too" He continued walking towards, well, his home. He didn't know where Jessica lived, but she didn't seem to be protesting. "At the time I was visiting my grandmother. She hadn't seen me in a while"

As she listened, Jessica realized she had walked completely past her car and then stopped. Once Kyle concluded, Jessica said, "I'm sorry but I better get home now - so these Tru Bloods won't get too warm." She smiled, attempting to hide her increasing thirst but nevertheless continued, "It was very nice meeting you and I hope we can see each other again. Your grandmother sounds very sweet, by the way. Good-Night." With that, she turned around and headed back towards her car, looking back over her shoulder to smile at Kyle one last time.

Kyle stopped too, only a few footsteps ahead of Jessica. Her reason for leaving wasn't quite true, all vamps heated up their trueblood before they drank. Perhaps her reasoning was, well, private or something... "Sure, no problem. Was nice meting you too" He said with sincerity, giving her a smile and a goodbye wave. She headed towards her car and he headed back in the direction of his home.
